Katya in my opinion has a language barrier issue and even though I offered to pay to remedy the issue, after promising me a redo and an install in October she then tells me she "no longer does drapes and has to care for her husband". After reading the other one star review, probably a good decision. Now I'm stuck with a drape and sheer to one side of my kitchen and only a sheer (no drape) to the other. Save yourself the time and energy. After she read, my one star review, she offered to pay for redoing the drape to meet my satisfaction, which I said was not necessary. I would be happy to pay for it. I just wanted a matching drape at the end of the day. After leading me on for months, she let me know today they are closed permanently "forever" not a surprise. read more

The worst experience ever with Zanko Drapery. I fully paid for the custom drapery which included sheers for the living room and nursery in March-April, 2022. It is already September, and still the job has not been done yet. The curtains that they (Katya and her team) delivered were dirty and full of unknown spots that did not go away. The curtains were either too short or too long. Even if you tell them what the length should be, they keep making mistakes. They brought you the curtains 2 inches high from the floor and tried to convince you that this was a good length and your kids would not step on them. But you had never asked them to make the curtains so short. When you ask them to redo the job, they fully charge you for the fabric again even though it was their mistake. Still, the second time they hang the curtains, the curtains had multiple unknown spots and when you pointed at them they would try to convince you that this happens and they had no time to check the fabric for each client. Basically, you pay thousands of dollars for the defective material. As for the baby's room, they hang dirty curtains which again were longer that the actual length should be. Then they start cleaning the spots and made a hole. They agreed to redo them. In 2 months they showed up with the curtains that were way too short (like 10" shorter). You again give them the exact measurements and your old curtains as an example. They lose your old curtains and bring you someone else's curtains thinking that you would not notice.m. When I asked them where the old curtains were, they started shouting at me saying that they did not know and that I should have told them that these old curtains were to be returned. Why? If you take someone's else belongings, you are supposed to return them. The third time they come and again dirty spots on sheer fabric everywhere and lots of holes from the wrong threads. When you start complaining, they start shouting at you saying that they are not responsible and that I should contact the owner. You contact the owner Natalya Zanko who left for Russia in June. She promises to return the money just for the baby's room (not for the curtains that they lost or defective panels downstairs) and blocks your number on WhatsUp and Instagram. So no way to get any contact and receive the money back. Basically, thousands of dollars wasted, lots of stress, curtains with holes and lost old curtains! Stay away from them! They will rush you to pay them money but it will take them forever to make curtains and in the end you will get dirty defective curtains badly made which were not worth thousands of dollars that they charge for their service. Natalia Zanko is an artist, a designer and a multi-talented Jill of all trades who seems to have the magic touch when it comes to interior design. This review is long overdue and it probably won't even describe her talents well enough without before and after pictures, but let me say this much: Natalia took me from a red velvet couch, black leather sofa, red bookcases and colorful accents kind of mess to a blue and light gold modern chic home decor. I found Natalia's ad on Craigslist for "affordable interior design" shortly after moving into my current apartment and contacted her. She came and looked at my place, took some photos, listened to my ideas, and told me that she would have some sketches ready for me in a few days. We met up soon after and she showed me 3 different designs, each would have been great for my space, so we decided to combine them: took the color scheme for my bedroom from one, for the living room for the other; used the type of furniture from one sketch in one room and another type from another design in the other room. Natalia gave me a great deal on her services, $750 for the interior design package and that included the sketches, shopping and decorating. After we chose the design, she came to look for draperies with me in a bunch of stores, including wholesellers in downtown and we also chose a lot of furniture online (that was my preference). When I went shopping for accessories, I would text her photos and she would help me choose which one of the 6 lamps would fit my decor best. She even helped me assemble numerous pieces of furniture, so I would say she definitely went above and beyond. Everything worked out really well together and my apartment receives compliments constantly. Natalia was a pleasure to meet and we could tell immediately that she would do a great job. She showed up with several samples of pleat styles and explained the process. We found out she has a degree in art and excels at interior design and decorating. She is also very polite and professional. I bought fabric on Spoonflower for a drapery panel in my office and found Zanko Drapery on Yelp. I called Natalia and she came by the next day to take measurements and sketch out how the panel could look. She doublechecked that I had enough fabric, took a photo of the pleats in the old panel, and a week later I had new panel which Natalia installed and steamed. Once it was in, we realized it needed a liner because the pattern was visible from outside the house. Natalia took the panel back, chose the perfect fabric for the liner, and brought it back the same day. And this was just for a single window.
