I do a lot of takeout and also delivery orders. This is now my number one go to place! Yesterday I tried the poki sandwich and it was amazing. The pickled condiments made it so tasty! The ingredients were so fresh! I immediately signed up online and really can't wait until my next visit. There are a lot of items on their menu that I want to try. I am impressed!! I called in a lunch order for my assistant and I. I let the order taker (Erica, I think) know I had a coupon and order the Cilantro Torta and the Cranberry Brie sandwich. When I arrived to pick up the meals and pay the place was very busy. While I waited I noticed the entire staff worked like a well oiled machine, some staff was even smiling brightly while they worked. I stepped up to the register and was greeted warmly by Sarah. She used my first name through the entire interaction and offered a suggestion to use another coupon for a cookie and drink. I agreed and went to select my self serve beverage. As I went to leave, Sarah bid me farewell again using my name. It's little things like what Sarah did that make all the difference to me. Aside from the service, the food was quite lovely!! I ate my sandwich with a smile and a great appreciation of a sandwich that was warm and not generic like other sandwich places. Urbane Cafe is now in the rotation of lunch choices for my whole office. read more

It's not fancy (sandwiches/salad/soup) but good quality plenty of options to customize your order and friendly staff. Think quick casual lunch or dinner when in the neighborhood . I would also like to commend them on their cleanliness. It was a little in the slow side due to weather and timing but everyone was working and cleaning even the manager. I'm originally from San Diego, sooooo glad that this is here. Today is their soft opening, they have a lot of promotions today. The food is amazing, staff is super friendly , efficient , fast. My top (3) sandwiches would be personally southwest chicken, so cal, pesto chicken. They added a few new items as well. Anything on the menu is good though, I'm a super picky eater and I eat all sandwiches as is. You can't go wrong with any of their selections . This place is absolutely amazing. I came here on their grand opening not knowing what to expect but I just know I wanted some lunch. Their menu is sandwiches so at first I was like "ehh another sandwich place" but wow. Not only was the staff super friendly and excited to be there on the first day of their opening, but the food was so fresh and amazing. They make their bread from scratch every hour and their side of greens are so refreshing. You can tell the ingredients in the sandwiches are fresh food. It's got a nice little lunch cafe vibe too. It's delicious here! I got the crunchy peanut salad and it's so good and so fresh. The dressing was peanutty and tangy. The agua frescas are a must try! CROSS CONTAMINATION!! I went to Urbane Cafe this evening, and my order was taken by a nice young woman at the front. In the back was a man prepping food, and another young woman sweeping, and cleaning. I went in with my mother who ordered a salad, and her salad was made by the man whom was very clean. However when it was time for my sandwich to be made I noticed the same lady whom was sweeping and cleaning making my sandwich!! I asked her if she changed her gloves, and she gave the gentlemen a look, and said no. I asked her to please remake my sandwich with clean gloves, and she kind of rolled her eyes. I asked to speak with the manager, and the gentlemen let me know he was one of the managers. I voiced to him my complaint, and he said he understood, but in no way did he try to accommodate me for the bad experience. The thought of someone using the same gloves that they've been cleaning who knows what to make my sandwich with is totally unacceptable!! Hope management sees this, and uses this to coach staff.
