I came in for pain in a tooth, and walked out with a new post and cap -- totally hassle and pain free. Waste of my money and time. On Zocdoc AND IN PERSON, they said they took my insurance. After I got an emergency filling, I went to the reception desk and they said I might have a balance due because it was an emergency. I asked about how much and it was in the low hundreds. Now, I am stuck paying it because they said that zocdoc was wrong and that I was misinformed by the front desk. read more

Christina is rude. They filed a claim with my benefits provider stating they took a full mouth x ray when in actuality they only took a bite wing x ray which only consists of four films. My benefits provider asked to be refunded the total amount; they wanted to be paid 75.00 for the bite wings, fair enough. Four weeks later I was rudely informed by Christina the claim for the reimbursement has been filed. Christina seemed to internalize and take my request as a personal attack on her character. Her hostility towards me was not warranted as all I was trying to do was expedite the paperwork so I can go to another dentist to get my teeth clean. I wonder if Dr. Levy would care to know this. read more

People may confuse his abrupt and candid attitude but the truth is he wastes no time with trivial formalities and gets right down to it. I view Dr. Levy as a very skilled dentist with a terrible bedside manner. When I came in for a cleaning and to have a bridge replaced with my my Delta Dental insurance, he responded quickly quoting high prices despite my insurance. Once I said I wanted to check prices with another dentist and to speak to Delta Dental, and my brother, who has retired, he quickly brushed my off and told his hygienist to "clean me up and let him go!" I was shocked by his brush off since he just told me I had a cavity when he looked at my new x-rays ( they have taken many), and never asked me if I wanted him to take care of it; which I would have I am pleased to see others affirm my opinion of him regarding his abruptness bordering on rudeness. As a college professor of Communication at Hofstra University for some 22 years, I think he would benefit taking my class in Interpersonal Communication to improve his bedside manner. A friend recommended Dr Levy's office 5+ years ago. Up until recently I had been a devoted patient of theirs until a bad experience with Dr Levy caused me to look elsewhere for treatment. I was told that I needed a crown (crowns are expensive) and I questioned his opinion because I didn't think it was necessary and I don't want to pay for an expensive procedure. Dr Levy became extremely rude, telling me my opinion was "ridiculous" ,When I stood my ground, I wasn't offered any other options, instead I was told that I should see another dentist. I was so appalled that I had given him my business for over five years and that was the thanks I get for being a great patient. He then made matters worse by ignoring me until I left the office. I must make it clear, the rating I am giving this office is directed solely towards Dr Levy himself. His staff is AMAZING, and that includes all the hygienists and front desk staff. read more

The reception staff was very polite and helpful, but I would not recommend this dentist. I went for a cleaning and they said I had three cavities. 2nd appointment they drilled the two on one side, were going to do the third cavity on my next visit. The initial two gave me more pain that they should have (sharp pain when food would press down on the cavity, not the normal air/hot/cold pain right after the cavity is filled). one week later i went back to have them investigate. They did a quick check, telling me everything looked fine, and told me to come back in a week if the pain was still bad. I went to another practice for a 2nd opinion on the pain, and they told me that the spacing in between the cavity and the next tooth was to large, and it was likely food was getting down in there, and inflaming the gums. They also did an x-ray, and told me that they didn't see the 3rd cavity (!). This dentist (highly rated on yelp) repaired the cavity and the pain subsided within a week. I have not returned to Uri Levy, and I sincerely hope they were not misrepresenting how bad the first cavities were. read more

Horrible!!! I was recommended by H.R. wish I listened to my co-worker. The front personnel has no understanding of the english language asked a simple question was asked three times what the word meant. Kept me on hold for ten minutes,Dr. Levy gave me a two second exam rushed me out of chair was told I needed Root Canal instead of alleviating me from pain was sent with an Rx then to come in two weeks later for a specialist. What a joke if I am in pain should I not be treated for what I came in for instead of xrays and a short exam? Not a good impression for a first timer.Beware!!! read more

I've been going here for over 4 years. I find that these one-star reviews are a bit harsh and unfair. I'll admit I don't have bad teeth so getting work done has never been an issue for me. I did chip the tip off of my lower right incisor during a booze cruise (with a pirate show) in Cancun, while eating my dinner. Don't ask. It was really sensitive so Dr. Levy patched it up with some kind of resin and it looked like my natural tooth. It was a perfect color match. The thing fell off eventually, but by that time the sensitivity was no longer an issue. There was no charge for the procedure. Also, I've never had to wait any longer than 5 minutes to be seen. My cleanings are quick and easy. Dr. Levy pops in at the end and is very nice and there's not much else to say! The staff is phenomenal - love the front desk and my hygienist (I forget her name!), they know me when I walk in, remember personal things about me that we discussed last visit. They are so easy to deal with. I feel like a VIP here. read more

You don't know what you've got til it's gone! My husband and I were patients of Dr. Levy's for several years before we moved out of state. The office staff was always so friendly and personable. They seem to really care about their patients (and you have to love Dr. Levy's mission statement about caring for smiles). Dr. Levy himself is a very good-natured guy; I never experienced any dental problems so my time there was always pretty easy. (Neither I nor my husband was ever "upsold" on anything here, either, which seems to be all the rage in LA! Ugh!) I also love that the office sends you birthday and holiday cards. read more

never going back to uri levy. ever. i am actually disputing this remaining seventy something dollar balance that suddenly appeared with bbb. asking for an itemized bill is an issue after i paid the entire remaining balance- AFTER CONFIRMING WITH THE leptons at the front that I had no remaining bill. you can justify loosing my insurance money and copays for cindy's behavior on the phone and add my friends on that list. i gave this dental practice 5 stars because while dr. levy is great most of the time.. his office staff is a mess especially cindy. please fire cindy. she is rude and should be removed from this practice. i am not even going to elaborate to waste my time even further. i am moving to another dentist asap and sending all my friends that i recommended to dr. levy to a different dentist. terrible office people. unorganized. rude. never gets any of my billing correct. scheduling is always wrong. read more
