A solid poke spot that serves quality ingredients from fish to toppings! I've been here a good amount of times now to say that this is probably one of the better poke spots I've been to. Very much like every other poke joint, they have a "build-your-own" bowl assembly line with your typical bases which you can mix up: white/brown rice, salad, and chips. They have a 2/3/5 scoop protein option which includes favorites such as salmon, tuna, yellowtail, albacore, etc. The best thing about this place is probably their wide array of toppings. They have both crabmeat AND spicy crabmeat; plus mangos AND pineapples. I loooove mangos and pineapples - it gives my bowl a refreshing and tropical taste to it and makes it 100x yummier! But aside from all the other pretty standard toppings they have, my biggest reason for giving them 5 stars is...consistency. This is a solid poke place in Cypress/Anaheim area. It is in a good location with some other restaurants with ample parking. Food: My husband and I each decided to get our own large (5 scoops of protein) poke bowl, which came out to be $15 each! I am pretty sure their pricing is so that the numbers come out even with tax. My bowl consisted of: Brown Rice Spicy Crab Mix Seaweed Salad 2 scoops of Salmon 2 scoops of Yellowtail 1 scoop of Tuna Cucumber Mixed with their original sauce and some spicy mayo. I asked for my bowl to be topped with some eel sauce. They have their own toppings bar where you can add a little extra to your bowl with lots of options. Some options included green onions, tempura flakes, wasabi, and fried onions. My bowl was delicious, and I would come again if I am in the area (which I am - Orange County is practically my second home). Service: Service was quick and done with a smile. Everyone seemed very nice. The guy working behind the counter also offered my husband and myself free miso soup to go with our poke bowls. I was so disappointed coming here for the 1st time. My partner raves about this place as he's gone to the Costa Mesa location before and loved it. We were excited to see it was the same brand near us. We did see it had a pretty good collection of fish and topping. The price was very steep- about $13 for a 2 scoop bowl. But ok everything looks fresh. There is a cap on toppings: 6 max and they must be all different toppings. My partner didn't like all the choices so he only was able to get 4 toppings. But they do give 2 types of crab mix and avocado included in the price. There's quite a lot of sauces but I went for simple. They really douse the bowl in sauce so my bowl was a bit soupy. The fish scoops were the most disappointing. I'm talking 2 TINY scoops. Like the smallest size cookie scoop of fish. Never had a stingier poke place. Then the rice was so clumpy and a bit mushy. I could barely even eat half my bowl. There are so many other good poke shops in OC. This isn't one of them unfortunately. read more

I go to the one in Cypress. I'm sad they got rid of their soda machine that had the seltzers . The seltzer was so good. Also, it was unclear the last time I went in there if you still got a free miso soup . Prices have increased, but the food is very good . This place has the most toppings have any poke place around and you can always count on the quality. You know it's good when you don't care about the additional cost of this or that. I am completely enamored with Uroko. I first discovered Uroko when they opened in Costa Mesa. However, I typically find the parking situation at their Costa Mesa location to be a big issue so I was so relieved when they opened this second location, which comes with plentiful parking. You pick your base (I personally love their soft and fluffy brown rice), then your protein, and toppings. I recently tried their octopus with 2 scoops of tuna. Perfection! Octopus can be chewy, but not here. Also, you have the choice between seaweed salad and avocado in addition to crab and onions. They also allow you to pick multiple sauces. My go-tos are the spicy mayo and wasabi mayo. But my absolute favorite part is at the end where they have a self-serve station filled with other toppings (i.e., fried onions, garlic, green onions, furikake). You yourself can grab as many as you'd like! For the month of August, your purchase also comes with complimentary miso soup. Now go enjoy! read more

I usually frequent the Costa Mesa location but when I'm in the area I come to this one. The food is pretty fresh but not as fresh as the one at the Costa Mesa location. The service is very nice and quick but do not order through online or the paper forms. Both of the times that I have ordered online and on the paper form, they have made my order wrong. My absolute favorite poke spot! The portions they give are huge for the price, unbeatable in my opinion. They count imitation crab and spicy imitation crab as a side/topping which is my favorite part. They also don't charge extra for avocado! There are so many poke places to choose from now, so what really sets one better than another? For me, it's quality of the fish, variety, and toppings! Uroko Cafe does their poke bowls differently: - Proteins: diff types of fish, octopus, tofu - Entree: rice, salad, chips, half half - Sides: cucumbers, imitation crab, onions, avocado - Toppings: THIS IS SELF SERVE AND UNLIMITED!!! Everything but the toppings are set separately in your dish. The sauces you choose will be mixed with your proteins before placed on the dish. Then you get to mix everything up yourself or eat them separately, whichever you prefer. Usually, everything you want on your poke bowl is placed on top of your entree, so it threw me off but I realized I prefer this so I can mix as I go (personal preference).
