This spot is located in the Old Town Orange area. I went here on a weekday at around 1:00 pm. It was difficult to find parking at the time; I ended up in public parking lot with a QR code for payment. Once inside, the line was long, so there was a wait before ordering. Once ordered and paid, they gave a number to be placed on the table. Came here with a couple of other folks and was able to grab a table for four. It was a bit limited at the time. For the order, I got the Pistachio Caffe and the Panini El Diablo. The caffe was hot and large; definitely the caffeine kick I needed with the lunch. The latte art is also amazing! For the panini, it was a good balance of cheesy, flavorful chicken, and a good crunch. American Express is accepted here.
I used to live down the street from Urth and would visit frequently for their Blended Green Tea Boba, Mushroom Pizza, and desserts. Since moving, I don't go quite as often. However, whenever I'm near Orange, I try to make my way down for their Blended Green Boba. I went the other day after Disneyland and it totally hit the spot. I went early and was lucky to find a spot right in front. Parking can be a problem if you go during peak hours. Love the ambiance inside. And the service is usually quick and efficient.
Well, I met up with a friend in Orange, Orange County, CA and we got into our heads that we couldn't leave without having Orange Juice, so we headed to Urth Cafe at 9:30pm. To our amazement, they were still serving fresh squeezed orange juice, which was absolutely amazing. Service was friendly and we were able to find a seat with a great view of the circle park, which was still filled with lively activity this late in the evening.
So this is in the city of Orange. Right off the bat, a lot of the spots for parking nearby are pay for a maximum of 2 hours via ParkMobile. It was $4 for 2 hours so not highway robbery but something to consider. Walking in, I immediately loved the setting. It's so open and an absolutely wonderful place to have brunch. It's beautiful but also casual. They have an astounding selection of things to choose from so I think it's actually a great location if you are going with someone and you don't know what they like. They surprised me with the cute fire pit setup they had for some of their seating! I am a sucker for fire pits and I think this would be a great place to chit chat also in the evening. I ordered the French Toast King. It's picturesque to be honest. I got it with the acai sorbet. Honestly I am kind of glad that I got it with the sorbet because the toast itself is a big mattress that needs to soak up some more stuff in my opinion. For how thick the bread is, it might even be one to benefit from a filling? Loved all the berries. I'd say it's not my top French toast but it's not on the bottom. The staff were very nice. They had originally forgotten my sorbet and my matcha hadn't come yet so I let them know and they were sure to get that to me which was great. They are pretty busy so I also would give them some grace too. I love their matcha lattes here. It's an aesthetic treat just to look at and it is also tasty. I got the Green Tea Rose and it has a great balance of rose flavor and it's just so stunning to look at. I think if I were to go back, I'd probably get the waffle like my friend did with the acai sorbet. I have had that at Urth before and I actually think I prefer it over the French toast! But that's just my personal preference. I'd consider coming again if I am in the area.
Moved to Orange recently, love love the Urth Caffe here. Always been a staple great brunch spot. Their pastries are amazinggg, but you definitely have to go in the morning to make sure all the options are there. I appreciate they are very consistent with the drinks & food, so you can always expect your favorites to taste the same. Overall in a great location, great food, ample seating, and good service as well. Love you Urth
I visited this spot on a Sunday afternoon for a quick bite after strolling on the beach. The location is very convenient if you're walking around, however, parking can be tough. The line was out the door throughout the day but they seemed very efficient. You grab a menu at the entrance and stand in line to order before you claim a table. They have a lot of food and beverage options. I ordered the Belgian waffle with the açaí sorbet. The waffle was cooked nicely and the fruit was fresh. The açaí sorbet was placed on top of the waffle which caused the waffle to get soft and soggy pretty quickly especially on a hot summer day. After a while the plate became a melty mess which made it less enjoyable. The water stations are a nice touch, but a couple of them were only filled with ice and the dispensers propped up above a puddle of water. At least one of them seemed to have a leak. They have two restrooms that are available for customers- expect a long wait time. The restrooms need more attention and maintenance especially during high-traffic times. The staff cleaning and clearing the tables were friendly and efficient. They were fast at bussing tables and getting them ready for the next guests. They also swept the outdoor seating area frequently which helped keep the seagulls at bay.
Love this spot in Orange. When we arrived it was quiet and peaceful with not too much traffic. We got the turkey and sprouts sandwiches which we loved and would definitely order again.
Brunch date on a Sunday morning in Old Town Orange and had a lovely time. The weather was nice and it was amazing to be surrounded by friendly people. I actually moved to the City of Orange in my early 20s during MY college days and IMO at that time, it was truly a retirement town. It was always peaceful where traffic was at a minimal and everyone's bedtime was by 10pm. I recalled being a typical Asian woman driver and always went the wrong direction at the roundabout. Things have changed so much since then. My own son has already graduated from college and now accompanies me going to that same roundabout, except now there's a lot more nicer restaurants and bars. We made our way to Urth Cafe and it wasn't as busy as I had expected, especially when compared to the locations in L.A. and Pasadena. I personally think this is my favorite location so far because it actually feels cozier (my son said the same about the cozy vibe). We both ordered an Omelette - mine was a Pesto Chicken with cheese. I actually requested to not have Goat cheese on mine but it came with it - so that was as why I had to remove 1 star out of 5 :( My Chicken soup tasted marvelous and my Latte was beautifully crafted. It was a great Sunday and I was so glad my son also had a great time!
My boyfriend and I decided to visit Urth Caffe because we haven't been in a while. We ordered a few different food items and drinks as well. There was indoor and outdoor seating, but we chose to sit outside because it was a nice day Food Avocado toast: 5/10 The overall flavor profile was bland, but it was a good portion Breakfast burrito: 8/10 The burrito had a lot of flavor, the sauce was good and the portion size was perfect Nutella Bun: 7/10 this was really good, but I wish it was warmed up a little more to make it softer Drink Iced Spanish Latte: 2/10 The latte tasted like milk with a hint of flavor. The glass was also large and the portion was a little much Service: The service was good! The checked on us frequently because we still had a number at our table. I'm a big fan of Urth Caffé--the food is consistently good, and the overall vibe is amazing. The location at the Orange Circle is one of my favorites. Sitting outside and watching people pass by gives it such a lively, relaxed atmosphere. Parking can be a bit challenging, especially during busy times, but there are paid parking options nearby now, which definitely helps. Just be prepared for a long line when ordering--it can get pretty crowded--but honestly, the experience and quality make it worth it.
I frequent this location often and have always genuinely enjoyed the food, and the staff has typically been friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, my experience yesterday, 8/17/26, was very different. I'm leaving this review not to get anyone in trouble, but because I genuinely hope management takes the feedback seriously and makes the necessary corrections so this remains a place customers actually want to return to. Around 1:00 p.m., we were at the registers when there was an issue with one of the cash registers, which understandably caused some confusion. One employee told me, "I can take you," only to find out that she couldn't, and I ultimately had to move to the other register. I was hoping to order breakfast. By the time I reached the register, it had just turned 1:01 p.m. The employee told me, with a sarcastic smirk, that breakfast had ended at 1:00. I understand that restaurants have set hours and policies, but given that it had literally been one minute past the cutoff, I expected at least an attempt to provide good customer service--such as offering to check with the manager on duty. Instead, I had to ask her to ask the manager myself. What was most disappointing, however, was the overall attitude. The two ladies working at the registers, were talking to each other as though they were not on the clock, while two customers were standing at the register waiting to order. The interaction came across as dismissive, rude, and lacking even basic customer service. If you don't want to interact with customers with professionalism, patience, and a positive attitude, then unfortunately, you may be in the wrong industry. Even my fiancé, who is extremely easygoing and rarely gets bothered by these things, was taken aback by the dismissive and entitled behavior we experienced. Again, this review is not about getting anyone in trouble. It's about accountability and improvement. We frequent this location because we enjoy it, and we want to continue supporting it. But customer service matters just as much as the food. I hope management addresses what happened so that other loyal customers don't walk away feeling disrespected or unwelcome. Also, the bathrooms were an absolute mess, toilet paper on floor, not in its holder. There were no toilet seat covers, no paper towels, ect. as shown in photos below.
There was a long line and it was a bit of a wait for my drink order to be ready. I ordered the Thai Red Tea Boba - blended. It was too bland in my opinion. The boba had a good chewiness consistency.

Urth Caffe has several locations across the southland to serve its local, sustainable and mostly organic farm to table and health conscious menu items. We visited the Old Towne Orange location which is located across from Plaza Square Park in the Orange Circle. Arrival time was during the lunch hour on a weekend, so not a big surprise there was a long queue. We eventually ordered, received a number and proceeded to look for a table. Urth Caffe offers both indoor and outdoor serving and the servers bring your order directly to your table. We enjoyed a Spanish Latte which was delightfully sweet and creamy. I ordered the New Yorker Sandwich which is a classic Reuben Sandwich served with a locally grown mixed greens salad and cornichon pickles...yum! My wife tried the Nori Plum Rice Wrap, a Nori sheet stuffed with avocado, organic brown rice, carrots, broccoli, green onions, plum paste and tofu. Served with wasabi and a locally grown mixed greens salad. Sounds better than it tastes in my opinion. I've visited a few different locations and have observed they have all been popular. If you're looking for a happening spot for breakfast, lunch and brunch and a restaurant that offers an extensive menu, Urth Caffe is the place to be! read more

This review is a few years PAST DUE! I have been enjoying the amazing teas, breakfast and dinner entrees since URTH opened this Orange Circle location in 2015 and have ALWAYS enjoyed the VIVE, food and excellent customer service by the staff! However, on a recent visit a few nights ago, the service and genuine care about my small group of guests was as they say, "OVER-THE-TOP!" I finally asked the young gentleman his name, he replied ANDRES. It seemed Andres was versatile and wore MAMY MANY HATS! He took our order, brought us the teas, brought us our meals and checked-in regularly to inquire if we needed anything. I've NEVER in the 9 years experienced such a strong desire to make sure his guests were 100% Satisfied with Good Ole Fashioned Customer Satisfaction. Andres is truly a gifted person and an EPIC IMAGE OIF WHAT EVERY URTH EMPLOYEE SHOULD STRIVE TO BECOME. Based on this visit and speaking directly with him, he has the ambition, work ethics, pleasant attitude, intelligence and professionalism to be the next General Manager for the URTH Restaurant Company! I trust the Senior Management will recognize his potential and realize he is an invaluable asset to the overall success of the Orange Plaza location!!! 3 stars just because some of the staff were welcoming and kind. Big menu, so many options to choose from, little time to decide. When looking for a seat, there was 4 tables not cleared out for sitting and outside seating was available. It was honestly too hot to be seating out there at noon so we chose to come back inside and ask if we could get one of the tables cleared out for seating. The guy was annoyed he had to do it because it wasn't part of his job title. He only picked up the plates and didn't wipe the table. We sat and the table was really sticky with leftover tomato and straw trash with crumbs. A nice waitress came over and noticed the table and cleared it out for us. I ordered the granola bowl, thinking it would have some fresh fruit with maybe yogurt but I was wrong. When they brought my granola bowl, it was exactly THAT; a bowl with granola. No milk, no yogurt, no fruit, just plain granola for $10. On the menu it said it included milk BUT milk did not come with it, I brought it to their attention when they brought it out and they told me I had to purchase the milk on the side beforehand? The nice waitress felt bad and brought me a side of milk either way. Aside from this I ordered a banana matcha, it was too thick for my liking. I thought it was going to be a match over ice but it was a blended drink instead. I also ordered the poached salmon toast and it was okay. I wished I would've got their panini instead. read more

Urth Caffé has a really cozy and welcoming vibe, but I've gotta say, the Iced Japanese Tea Latte was disappointing. There was way too much ice--like to the point where it felt kinda disrespectful. It made it seem like there was more drink than there actually was, and honestly, it just tasted like straight-up milk. If you're someone who actually cares about the quality of your tea, I wouldn't recommend getting it here. I have had the food though, and it's great, I just think this is a sneaky move to make more money off of customers by ripping them off from quality and quantity. read more

This review is based upon delivery for breakfast. The food was thoughtfully packaged (the cottage cheese definitely spilled on the ride) - I got the berry platter with extra cottage cheese and side of poached eggs. The food was all mostly in good shape after taking a car ride. I wish that the eggs came with salt and pepper because just poached eggs with no seasoning was interesting. I'm sure the berry bowl would have been more plentiful if I had dined in but when paying for convenience it was a smaller amount than I had anticipated or expected. All in all a healthy option for nearby area if you're looking for a light but protein packed breakfast! I do miss the ambiance of the dining in urth cafe with the massive breakfast coffees. Came in because I was walking around the circle and was craving boba badly. It was a super hot day, the AC was blasting as soon as I entered, and I couldn't have been happier. The staff was friendly and fast. Essentially no line. There were small areas for seating, mostly for groups of 2-4 people. I started out with the matcha tiramisu. I'm usually not a tiramisu fan, but the matcha tasted delicious and wasn't overly sweet with the creamy layers. Loved how light and fluffy it was. I also had the organic green rose boba tea. Boba was squishy and satisfying and the tea was refreshing. I loved that you could actually taste the matcha instead of an over sugared drink. The rose flavor was light, but still enjoyable. Everything was more than what I was hoping for. Great location. read more

This place is great I go here for the Spanish Latte iced I get it half sweet decaf with organic milk and whip cream it's my favorite it taste great I have also tried the iced Matcha latte and a smoothie with mango strawberry , banana's both were really good . I have tried two desserts so far and they were really good I have had the New York Cheesecake and the Pumpkin pie really fresh with great flavor . I can't wait to try the food here it looks really good . The employees are really nice here some of them remember me and my order which I really appreciate they work really hard here . Sometimes there is a long wait but they are really busy most of the time and it's worth the wait . They also have a rewards program when you buy ten drinks you get one free . The location is really nice the inside has a lot of seating they have a lot of seating outside as well it's very clean and modern . read more

Amazing food and variety of choices. They have so many vegan, dairy free, but free, and gluten free options for those with dietary restrictions. Everything on their menu is delicious and the portions are generous, I usually have to share. The food is a bit pricey but I don't think it's unreasonable. The seating area is beautiful and great for photos. I love taking picture or studying here. It's great to take friends and walk around the surrounding stores. The service was so good here, everyone was very sweet and willing to answer any questions I had. They were friendly and conversational with me, I couldn't recommend this place more. read more

Wowie best brunch spot on urth lol. Oh, and amazinggg dessert selection is a bonus ;) get yourself a place that kills both brunch and bakery in one caffé. Poached Di Parma (8/5) - sliced jamon & melon is the best combo as is, but add crisped sourdough, basil oil, poached eggs = absolute perfection. Mushroom Omelette (5/5) - can't go wrong with eggs & shrooms, but I like to eat it with boysenberry jam bc I'm weird and it's super yummy that way! Mediterranean Platter (5/5) - hard to mess this one up too, but the warm pita melts my heart. Had to ask for more olive oil to drizzle & balsamic vinegar on the side but wonderful savory appetizer for any occasion. Always be ready for a line, but it goes by quick, and food comes out fast and *fresh* with quality ingredients. Employees are soo sweet and the food is just excellent. Parking is the single inconvenience, but overall, it's worth the hassle especially if u love walking around small shops in the area. Happy Urth day everyone ;) read more

I visited Urth Caffé in Pasadena and Laguna Beach, so I had to stop by this location in Orange. During my visit here, I ordered the Strawberry Cheesecake and the Amazon Rainforest Smoothie. The cheesecake was spot on and the smoothie was fruity and refreshing. read more
I have been here many times and I have many items that I love to order. My absolute favorite is the divine date smoothie. I love how you can taste the sweet chunks of dates inside and how it has slivers of almonds on top. The Amazon rainforest smoothie is also very good as well as the iced Spanish latte. In terms of food, I love their salads. The Niçoise salad is one of my favorites with salmon and olives. The vegan panini portabella is also tasty. Urth is on the pricier side but you can taste the quality. The place is so cozy and inviting. Their outside area is also nice and has heat lamps. Their service has always been great. I would love to try their breakfast items and bobas sometime. read more
If you're unfamiliar with this chain, it's an order at the counter then sit place BUT they deliver your food to your table and staff was super courteous and awesome. They have an amazing bakery here, coffee, smoothies, and hot foods as well. Parking: this is in the heart of old town orange, you will need to find street parking or park in a lot (free) and walk, there are a few spots right in front od the cafe if you get very lucky. Location: right in the heart of old town orange, great spot to people watch and window shop before or after Food: ordered the mushroom omelette which was tasty, also had the cheese danish, fruit tart, and Spanish coffee. These were all good in portion and well made. The only miss for us was the latkes we ordered, which were cold. Seating: outdoor seating with umbrellas on the side of the building AND also in an alleyway next to the building. There is also a large area of seating inside. You could also take your food to go and sit at the fountain directly across the way. Bottom line: good food and service, nice ambiance, a solid brunch spot for locals and tourists alike read more

Came here for the first time today and it did not disappoint. The food was very delicious and filling. My husband and I realized we probably have to share next time because it was a lot of food. He had the french toast with a cappuccino and I had the bread pudding breakfast with carmalized bananas with their Honey Vanilla Latte with light roast. All the portions are really big, especially when my husband wondered why the french toast was $16, but then saw how big they were when they arrived. The bread pudding was excellent but also very heavy. The latte is was the best I ever had. It does get really busy, so just be prepared to wait. While the line wasn't out the door when we arrived (which we heard before), we still waited about 15 minutes in it before ordering. There was a lot of places to sit, so we didn't have to wait for anybody to leave. The food is a little pricey but it is a lot so it's worth it. I would suggest sharing meals if you get the bigs ones like we did. We will definitely do that the next time we go. read more

There is nothing much to say about Urth! It is pretty popular and over the years, they have expanded quite enough that you likely run into an Urth here or there, whether you're in LA or OC. Despite the crazy line that is a usual site for this cafe, don't be discouraged because it moves pretty fast! They have a pretty good system here so you won't spend hours waiting in line or for a table. I love going to Urth for breakfast, brunch, or afternoon treats. They have a wide selection of pastries, breakfast, salad, smoothies, coffee, and tea. You can't really go wrong with anything on their menu really. We got two eggs salmon plates and a banana nut waffle. So delish! They also offer decaf for those sensitive hearts, and it is pretty yummy! Staff are super friendly and attentive, although I never had luck with getting my drinks at the table as fast as others though, usually in my experience I had to hunt my drinks down a few times or so but, overall, would recommend! read more

The noise at this place is average, the food is excelent a lot of options to choose from. Time waiting for food wasn't long, but the waiting for drinks was too long, we started eating and almost at the end the drinks arrived, they not even offered us water. I noticed only one guy working trying to cover everything his name was Tim, so nice and stressed guy with a lot to do, please hire more people to help him and avoid the long waiting for drinks people can choked and the administration didn't notice that. Is not the first time that happened, that's why I mentioned this is my 4th time at this place, and definitely, I love the food, hopefully getting better in taking care of the situation. read more

This the first time at Urth in Orange . The Matcha Tiramisu hit the spot when we were looking for some type of dessert. It was a shareable size for 2 people to share. I also got a Spanish Latte. I really liked the fact the lines was moving quickly and people were being served in a timely manner. read more

Make sure to come here early for parking. I came here for brunch at 9:30 am on a Saturday, plenty parking spots on the public parking lot on orange street you can also find parking spot on the street. I finished my meal at 12:00 pm and saw so many cars are looking for parking spot...... It is good when you want a light meal, good size you could share a dish with your partner. The oerder line is pretty long. I really struggled to figure out how to rate Urth Cafe. I have been here several times, and my visits, until today, have been pretty amazing - five stars all the way. The food is truly beautiful, especially the pastries. I don't know how you can pass by the pastry display without ordering something. Being on a gluten-free diet was the only way I was able to resist all the incredibly tempting, sugar-loaded indulgences. That being said, they got me with the gluten-free Fresh Corn Waffle. The menu described it as crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside - tasting like fresh cornbread hot out of the oven! I am a sucker for cornbread, so I had to give it a try. It was promptly delivered to my table and it looked as wonderful as I expected, with kernels of corn on top and fresh fruit surrounding the waffle. But, in much more important ways, it did not live up to my expectations at all. As my fork pierced the waffle, I did not hear nor feel a crunch. It was soft all the way through. And, it tasted nothing like cornbread. Actually, it did not have much flavor at all. I had to use much more syrup than I intended. Getting back to my rating dilemma, I was sitting across from a group of women, one of whom ordered the French Toast King. It was one of the most beautiful displays of food I have ever seen, and, envy aside, I enjoyed watching her devour it. So, I still think Urth Cafe might deserve 5 stars, just not from me on this visit. Mine was a 3-star visit to a restaurant that can be, and usually is, much better. read more

I love Ruth Coffee overall, but my recent experience this Saturday was awful! It took a long time to receive our order, and my coffee arrived after others who ordered later--and it was cold. The restroom was also poorly maintained, with overflowing trash and no toilet paper. Overall, I'm starting to lose interest in this place. read more

I've been trying out the different entrees, desserts and coffee options each time I visit Urth Cafe, and this time, I ordered the Urth Laguna Breakfast and the Cafe Honey Vanilla Latte. I've ordered all their top coffee options in the past. The Spanish Latte and the Mint Mocha are my two favorites, but I'd rank the Honey Vanilla tied for third, along with the Cafe Mocha, which is equal in quality to the one at Starbucks. All of their breakfast options, particularly their egg based ones, are outstanding. The fresh ingredients live up to their reputation for high quality, and they also leave you feeling full. I didn't have another meal after 11:30 AM yesterday when I ate here. This Urth Cafe is located right in the heart of downtown Orange, in the circle. Be warned, it's stupid busy after 9:00 AM. I always order ahead, grab it to go, then hope to find an open table outside by the fire lamps or inside on the big table with the fireplace. Also, if you place a to-go order from any Urth Cafe, add 10 minutes to whatever they tell you it is. So if the text says it will be ready in 20 minutes, expect at least 30 minutes. I time it so that I show up when it just got done being made. Despite having to navigate the wait times, I highly recommend Urth Cafe to anyone who is willing to spend $20-$40 on fresh food and coffee worthy of France. If nothing else, you'll enjoy the architecture! read more
My friends and I were looking for a late night hangout place so we decided to try this place since they're open til midnight. I tried their Green Rose Latte with oat milk, it was good but not too great like the ones I tried before at some other coffee shops. My friends tried their boba too and they loved it. We've been here countless times and always enjoyed the drinks. Their food is hit or miss. The pastries have been consistently good but their hot meals, mainly egg dishes, have been bland or just passable. This last time we came, we arrived shortly after opening and were hoping to get a quick breakfast before work. That was not the case, we ended up waiting 25+ minutes for an egg omelette! This was disappointing since the restaurant was still not busy. Also, their items are also quite pricey for what it is. Their drinks have been solid, especially the Spanish latte and matcha latte. I love coming here early in the morning or late at night, it's a vibe, I just wish they could play Luis Miguel's Romances because it would be the perfect ambience combo. The food & drinks is always high quality, I'm honestly filled with joy every time I visit any of their locations because I see the perfect chemistry they have which creates the memorable experiences everyone will have here. You can't go wrong with a Spanish Latte w/ Italian Roast & Oat Milk OR a Wazuka Matcha w/ Oat Milk & make sure to make it UNSWEETENED. Any dish you order, you'll be fine. Is this a good place to study?
If it's not too crowded/noisy, yes! There are lots of decent sized tables.
Are there outlets at the restaurant?
Do you pay for your order first and then sit down or do they have serves at this location!?
Try to find a seat, if you order first you might be sitting and waiting until another party leaves. I recommend if you're in a group, someone looks for seating while the other takes the order.
Is there wine?? If not can you suggest an alternative nearby?
I don't think they carry wine, but they do carry beer.

We'll behaved dogs are welcomed at the outdoor tables on Chapman avenue. Only certified guide animals are allowed indoors.

They do not offer valet parking at the Orange location. There's also limited parking so you might have to drive around a bit.
What are the hours for the Orange location?
They just opened for business today. Currently the hours are 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. This is subject to change in the future depending on how busy they are in the evenings.
