Brunch date on a Sunday morning in Old Town Orange and had a lovely time. The weather was nice and it was amazing to be surrounded by friendly people. I actually moved to the City of Orange in my early 20s during MY college days and IMO at that time, it was truly a retirement town. It was always peaceful where traffic was at a minimal and everyone's bedtime was by 10pm. I recalled being a typical Asian woman driver and always went the wrong direction at the roundabout. Things have changed so much since then. My own son has already graduated from college and now accompanies me going to that same roundabout, except now there's a lot more nicer restaurants and bars. We made our way to Urth Cafe and it wasn't as busy as I had expected, especially when compared to the locations in L.A. and Pasadena. I personally think this is my favorite location so far because it actually feels cozier (my son said the same about the cozy vibe). We both ordered an Omelette - mine was a Pesto Chicken with cheese. I actually requested to not have Goat cheese on mine but it came with it - so that was as why I had to remove 1 star out of 5 :( My Chicken soup tasted marvelous and my Latte was beautifully crafted. It was a great Sunday and I was so glad my son also had a great time!
First, I love this location compare to other Urth Caffe because it's spacious and conveniently located in old town Orange. Service is a bit slow because we did not receive our drinks till half way finished our order. Food was delicious though. Ordered the chicken curry sandwich, Urth farmer's salad, matcha rose latte, and Caffé pistachio. Liked the face they let you choose the intensity of coffee. I ordered the strong one and it was good!
I'm a big fan of Urth Caffé--the food is consistently good, and the overall vibe is amazing. The location at the Orange Circle is one of my favorites. Sitting outside and watching people pass by gives it such a lively, relaxed atmosphere. Parking can be a bit challenging, especially during busy times, but there are paid parking options nearby now, which definitely helps. Just be prepared for a long line when ordering--it can get pretty crowded--but honestly, the experience and quality make it worth it.
We'd been here one other time on a previous Cali visit but all we got was coffee and a pastry. This time, we went during lunch time to see if their food was just as good (spoiler, it's even better). We came in when the line was to the door, which moved pretty steadily despite that. They have complimentary water dispensers, one regular and one with fruit in it. This was great for refilling our water bottles before leaving. The service at the counter was great and the prices for the food seemed accurate (considering there are organic and local ingredients). We sat down and waited about 15 minutes for our food.. perfect. As shown, the servings for evening was hearty and that's exactly what we both needed! The pancakes were the BEST I've ever had, and that's saying a lot coming from me. I wish there was an Urth in Arizona so so badly, because we'll miss the food a lot. I also had another encounter at Urth when we ordered some to the hotel. Unfortunately, our driver brought someone else's food, but after calling Urth they still had my order so I drove down and picked it up. Let's just say, their green juice is killer.. 10/10 across the board
I'm sad that I didn't take a picture of the delicious Pecan Pie we got but I did get one of this yummy honey vanilla latte. It was strong and just the right amount of sweetness. The service was quick for the large amount of consumers they had. All staff were super sweet which made the experience real nice. The cafe itself is big with a lot of seating area but again it does get pretty busy. But it is worth it!
I've been to my fair share of trendy cafés, so walking into Urth Caffé didn't exactly shock me... but I will say, it still knows how to put on a show. The vibe is undeniably cute. Like, dangerously cute. The kind of place where even waiting feels aesthetic if you're in the right mood. Every corner feels curated, the crowd is very "students with laptops and iced drinks," and even the indoor seating had this warm, almost cinematic feel to it. Unfortunately, I didn't get to fully soak that part in because the experience quickly turned into a bit of a chaotic food journey. Let's talk about the order situation, because wow. Somehow, we ended up getting our dessert first, then a smoothie, and then finally the pizza. I wish I could say it was part of some artistic dining experience, but no, it was just confusing. By the time the margarita pizza came out, it felt like the emotional climax of a very disorganized story. And honestly, it took way too long for something that simple. It got to the point where we had to get up and check on it ourselves, which kind of breaks the whole relaxed café illusion they're going for. I get that it's busy, and trust me, it is busy, but there's a difference between high energy and just feeling overlooked. That being said, I can't sit here and pretend the place doesn't have charm. It absolutely does. The vibe is strong, the people-watching is top tier, and if you're the kind of person who doesn't mind a little unpredictability in service, you'll probably still enjoy yourself. Just come prepared. Come with patience, come knowing it's going to be packed, and maybe don't expect your meal to follow any traditional timeline. It's a beautiful, bustling, slightly chaotic experience that feels more about the atmosphere than the execution.
We were here mid-Easter morning. Urth is a cool-vibe place and, remarkably, had plenty of seating given the number of people who were there. The line went quickly and the cashiers had excellent knowledge of the offerings. I ordered the D'Lox toast , which was very good. Plenty of lox and fixings. I wasn't a fan of the English buckwheat toast crust, but enjoyed the bread itself (I'd never tried this type of bread before, and was raised to try everything once, so no regrets). The Spanish Latte is one of the specialties. It was really satisfying and whatever the mystery ingredient is kept me guessing and interested. My husband had the dark house coffee, which he really liked, and the sausage and potato omelette and accompanying salad was a hit. I asked one of the staff for coffee bean recommendations. He suggested the house dark for my husband, the house light, for my son, and another type for a friend when I told him their preferences. He really listened. We returned today and I had a killer mushroom omelette. I had a cup of the house light, which, if you like light coffee, is very good. My husband had the Italian omelette and the dark coffee, and he was very happy with both. When you're in SoCal, don't miss out.
It's always a good sign that the place is packed when I got there. The service was efficient despite the long line. We sat outside which had a nice European cafe vibe. I ordered the huevos rancheros pizza and the Oreo cheesecake. Their pizza had a pretty good size and was packed with toppings. It was a little greasier than I thought it would be but the flavor was there. The cheesecake was a as liitle too dense but had good flavor. Overall good value
I went back to Urth Café for brunch today for the first time after a long while. This location is at the Orange Circle in old town Orange. There is lots of parking near and around the restaurant but it is a very busy area. So, you may have to park on one of the adjacent streets. The restaurant is in a historical building that dates back to the 1800's. The interior has an industrial charm and Victorian elegance like most buildings in that part of town. The interior has High ceilings, exposed brick walls, artisan tilework, and wrought iron accents. There is lots of indoor seating as well as outdoor sidewalk seating with market umbrellas. I Love the big Island with high chairs where you sit around the island top fire pit. It is a cozy, and social friendly arrangement. The restaurant is loud and vibrant creating a warm, bustling atmosphere. As you arrive, you are most likely to find a line. You must place your order first, grab your number and your order will be delivered to your table. They have a pamphlet menu. The Menu is extensive with sandwiches, salads, soups, plates, egg dishes, pancakes, french toasts and so much more. They also have lots of coffee, tea and other beverage options. I recommend that you grab one of the menus and decide on what to order while waiting in line so, that you do not hold up the line or feel rushed when it is your turn. Today everyone in my party ordered the same dish. We got the mushroom omelette. As far as I could tell. It had mushrooms in it, cheese and onions. On the side, we got hash brown and two slices of French baguette with butter. It also comes with a salad, but it really, is just one Leaf of lettuce and one slice of tomato. In other words, not much of a salad at all. It looks more like a garnish than a salad. The omelette was pretty good. The hash brown came in the form of two potato cakes and were OK. We wanted them crispy, but they tasted more like boiled potatoes. For beverage, I got the café pistachio, which is sort of a pistachio latte. It was really good. Just lightly sweet. Just the way that I like it. In conclusion. The food was good minus my hash brown. I enjoyed my coffee and everyone liked their dishes. The space is beautiful and has a good energy to it. Everyone is friendly. The Service is really good and prices are average. So, overall we had a good experience. I recommend Urth Café
Whenever I'm in Orange, I try to make my way to Urth. If not to eat a meal, I at least get their Blended Green Tea Boba. Love love love it! That's the only drink I get there. I've tried a few others, but nothing compares. The service is great and the place is spacious and loud (a bonus that it is kid-friendly). I was in the mood for pizza and my favorite pizza of theirs has to be their Wild Mushroom Pizza. Hands down, the best option here. All the flavors blend together nicely. I had to end my meal with their Banana Cream Pie. A little indulgence never hurt anyone, right?
I came on a early Sunday afternoon. The line was out the door. It took about 20 minutes or more for me to order; however once I ordered my food was out within 10 minutes. I sat outside reading my book catching a lil vibe. I ordered the large iced green rose latte which was EXCELLENT. Maybe it's just me but it kinda tastes like fruity pebbles. I loved itttttt. I ordered the huevos rancheros plate with over medium easy. Delicious. I ordered the flourless chocolate cake. It was delicious and I want to top it with raspberries when I get home. I enjoyed my brunch here. The only thing I don't like about this place is staff doesn't walk around after you order to see if you need anything. I needed a box and waited for quite some time. However I don't let this affect the rating because it is a cafe and it was pretty busy so it is not expected but it would make a huge difference in customer service!

I cant say enough, how delicious the food here is! Things to know: 1. You must scan the barcode to order, there is no food menu (only drinks) 2. It's an average of $15 a plate 3. First date central! 4. Seating on the south side of the restaurant is the best 5. Serves breakfast, lunch, salads, smoothies and green juices, desserts, and tons of different coffees. Disadvantages 1. Parking sucks 2. It's really loud inside 3. The person who took my order got it wrong three times. Once for me (main menu) kids went to get deserts (wrong again) sister joined us later (wrong again) not sure what the deal was... I'm assuming new hire? 4. People take their dogs inside (barf) unless it truly is a service animal, please leave your animal at home. Nobody likes your dog as much as you do. Especially, inside a restaurant. read more

Food was great, lots of options and a bit overwhelming. There was 3 mixups with our orders but it was all resolved. If the person taking orders was more clear and didn't rush this could've been avoided. Location has lots of outdoor seating available. read more

I've been to multiple locations... and I have tried a bevy of things on the menu. I've never had anything that was terrible and I really appreciate that they have gluten free and vegan options. Recommendations: - Blended Green Tea Boba (with almond milk) - Sunrise Pizza (O-M-G, SO freakin' good) - Wild Mushroom Pizza (yummy) - Heirloom Tomato & Burrata Salad (UH-MAZE-ING, seriously, if you try only one thing from this list.. this is the one!) - Vegan Chocolate Chunk Pecan Cookie (although if you're looking for a lot of chocolate chunks ... you're not going to get it in this cookie but it is tasty). This was my first time ever in an Urth Caffe. I don't know why I never bothered dining here before, even though they opened up a bunch of locations. My friend wanted to come to this location so we had a gal's day brunch here. I love the location, it's in the Orange circle surrounded by cute restaurants and shops. Urth Caffe is located on a corner near the roundabout, and they closed off a section of the parking area for outdoor seating. The restaurant itself is beautiful and spacious and the indoor dining area is super cute with a fire pit table in the center of the room. I didn't realize that Urth Caffe was also a bakery! They have beautiful cakes, cheesecakes, and pastries! The menu is really extensive, with tons of breakfast items, and lots to choose from for lunch, including pizza! There's also a whole page dedicated to drinks! We ordered a mushroom omelette and the stuffed french toast to share. My friend also got an iced mocha, and I ordered a large Spanish latte. The Spanish latte was so good (highly recommend) and came in a huge mug (a la Central Perk), and our food was average: not bad, but nothing super special. Baked goods and pastries are also average. 3/5 I'm knocking off a star because I have an issue with their Operations/product delivery/service/process - whatever you want to call it. Our food took an extremely long time before it came to our table. Then when our drinks arrived, they made my friend's iced mocha hot, so they had to go back and redo her drink. After our meal, I lined up again to purchase a bunch of baked goods to bring home to my family. The girl who took my order confirmed my items, packed my goods, and asked me to wait at the other side of the restaurant and they would bring my slice of coconut pound cake in a couple minutes. After what was about 15 minutes, my slice of poundcake never came so I went back to the counter to ask about it. The other cashier working immediately went to the back to bring out my pound cake. I usually check my order before I leave but I was so tired of waiting that I just left without checking my bags. Once I got home, I discovered that one of my items I ordered was missing, and the slice of pound cake that took me forever to get was chopped up in three small slices - like they were putting together remnants of the cake to make one slice. Ugh... Not a great first impression and I am frustrated with all the issues I experienced in one visit. The staff is nice, but they can't get the orders right. Urth Cafe always has the best foods and coffees . Usually go to the Santa Monica one. I did the Eggs Benedict which definitely different than a usual was a bit lighter instead of muffin it had potatoes hash browns. Avocado toast with poached eggs was nice and filling . Tried their Italian cappuccino which was amazing. They had a fireplace counter top which made the back room a bit cozier with the morning chill . read more

I've never had a bad experience at any Urth Caffe, like most if you so happen to mistakenly walk in on a Saturday or Sunday be prepared to wait in line. On the bright side the lines and ordering are very organized, so it goes by pretty quick. But most of the time searching for a table can be a bit frustrating with the large crowds, patience is key. But, once you do, you are good to go! The food is always great my honorable mentions are the Pizza El Diablo, a simple chicken pizza with a little bit of heat and the D' Lox Toast. The teas are also great and very aromatic, a tea lovers dream! read more

Great spot for a specialty coffee & a pastry. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating and bar height fire pit to sit around. Only downside- we visited when it was not too busy and it still took over 30 minutes for our lattes. If you're in a rush, probably not the spot, if you have time for a more leisurely visit, then a great option in the circle! read more

Urth Caffé is my go to spot for brunch. I have never tried something here that I've disliked. I love the fresh carrot juice with ginger. The mushroom pizza and the flourless chocolate cake is incredible. I've only had one bad experience here with a food order being lost but it is not enough to deter me from coming back again and again. Lovely ambience and they keep everything nice and clean. read more

I was sooo excited to come Here because I used to have to go to Pasadena and didn't know we had one in OC now! After standing in the long line that moved fast we received our cake and were given a number. We asked if we needed to come back to pick up the coffee and they said no we bring it out to you. Only tables available were outside on the side patio. We waited 25 minutes and still no coffee. This is after 3 different employees walked outside and asked us if we were waiting for food and we said no we are waiting for our coffee. They all gave the inside staff our number " 47 is on the side patio." Hubby finally went in to ask and an employee went looking for it and "found it". hubby asked is it still warm? because the cup felt a little warm to the employee he said yes. Hubby said okay I will take my out to my wife and we will see and the employee said if it's cold I will make another one. We tasted it and it was barely lukewarm and on this very cold night it wasn't even warming us up. So hubby went back in and the employee said you have to bring the other cup Back and hubby said you can go get it but I am not and the employee came out and took the coffee from me. A man that seemed like he was a supervisor saw the whole thing and I heard him telling the employee in the radio headset to just make another one but there seemed to be some back and forth about it. And I heard him say the wife doesn't like it. The whole thing was pretty ridiculous. We weren't trying to be rude and showed them our receipt that shows we waited patiently 25 mins for a cup of coffee and we had pretty much finished the cake. We may give it another try but is was very disappointing. read more

I think Urth Caffe is always a reliable place when it comes to their consistent quality of baked goods, various options of beverage, and brunch options. We had a chance to try out the location in Orange and it was a pretty good experience. We were a party of 4 trying to find some table to hang out and talk on a weekend night. It was crowded inside and outside, and the line was VERY long. However, I love that the staff was efficient in getting the orders in and thus was able to move the line on a steady pace. We had the fruits tart, Napoleon cake, Spanish latte, and a few other drinks. Everything tasted awesome. I love the cake for its creaminess, perfect flakiness, not too sweet overall. Green Tea boba tasted completely different from every other places I have had it before, very unique flavor. I personally didn't like it because of the cinnamon addition, though my friend was a huge fan of it. There was no more table inside because it was a pretty cold day. So we ended up sitting out side, on the sidewalk. They have a lot of those commercial patio heaters so the cold and wind outside became very manageable for us. Parking could be tough. But we went early and the free public parking in the back cross street still had a spot so I guess we got lucky! read more

The pizza I had was great tasting and you could taste the quality ingredients. The Japanese latte was amazing and honestly one of the best matcha drinks i've ever had. The service was satisfactory, I did like that they took your order in line so you could save time when going to the register. The ambiance was alright the cafe was kinda crowded and they seemed understaffed as tables were usually occupied or still dirty from the last customer. All in all, an almost out of this "urth" experience! read more
Cute little place smack in the middle of the Orange Circle that can please most every taste bud. In my mixed foodie family we are Vegan, Vegetarian and Carnivores. I needed a place to please all of us and seat all of us in a Covid friendly environment. Most importantly this place is paw friendly too. I wish I brought Fiona with me. You order at the counter, they give you a number then they take it out to the patio. I ordered the Margarita pizza. I know, I know wheres the meat? It's kind of a inside joke. On my second date with my late hubby we went for pizza. He said order whatever I wanted. Trying to be cool and healthy I ordered the margarita pizza. He never let me live it down. So since we were celebrating his life today I ordered the pizza just from him. My sister and niece also ordered a weird veggie concoction too that they enjoyed. Coffee. Oh no I was sad. My iced cold brew was not as yummy as I hoped. The small was very small. I should of ordered a large but I didn't. If you like boba they have that too. The rest of my friends and family seemed to like everything. From tastey sandwiches, avacado toast and salads. They all looked good. There is something for everyone on the menu. Everything is affordable. The winning ticket. The chocolate brownie. I am not big on sweets lately but that brownie was amazing. I think my sweet tooth is back. One last tip. There is a place a few doors down that sell sangria by the pitcher. That went well with my pizza and made mg heart happy. read more

Urth Caffé is always poppin' and I've always wondered why -- but the huevos rancheros burrito was amazing and definitely worth coming back for! The salsa on the side was a perfect complement, but I also ended up adding tapatio for some spice too. I also ordered the French toast, which was good, but nothing special. I was surprised to see that the blended green tea with boba is now ~$8, but it was still as good as the last time I had it! They forgot about it when bringing the food, but when I asked them about it, they were pretty kind. They checked on it and it came out ~5 -10 minutes after. The line was pretty long, so it took about 20-30 minutes to place my order before looking around for seats. Although it may seem pretty crowded, there are plenty of seats inside and outside. TLDR; try the huevos rancheros burrito and be prepared to wait 20-30 minutes to order read more

Let me just say the experience here was phenomenal I loved everything about this place. The inside was nicely decorated. Service was good. The food was amazing me and my sisters decided to try a few things my favorite was the butternut squash and ricotta cheese pizza it was different it had sort of a sweet taste to it but not to sweet and that's what I liked about it the D'Lox was really good as well least favorite was the margarita pizza it wasn't nasty just something that I wouldn't get again other than that it was all yummy. I liked that every few minutes someone came around to see if there were any plates needed to be taken or if anyone needed anything. One thing I wasn't really a fan of was it was really loud other than that everything was great. read more

I love to grab brunch with friends at this place. You might have to wait in line during weekends. Business is good because their food and pricing is very good. Once you order at counter, you get a number and then find your seats, server will bring food to your table. They have latte, coffee and matcha boba smoothies. Also many selections on desserts and cakes. Ambiance is pretty and cozy with indoor fire pit and with outdoor seatings too. Parking is street parking and also parking lot behind this building. Great place for hanging out with friends. Love their omelette and salmon benedict. read more

Got the turkey roasted panini. Bread was surprisingly dry and there was little to no cheese in it. They didn't inform us that the avocados were an extra $3.75 and we were charged for it. The avocados were ROTTEN AND BLACK. The person taking our order also couldn't hear us, so we had to repeat ourselves even though we were basically shouting. Vegan patty melt was cooked well, but if you wanted to substitute anything they charge for it. Got the hummus also. Literally one small ice cream scoop size. They used to give more enough to share. For the price of $7 I could get a whole containers worth at Trader Joes that tastes better than this. It was also fairly dry, doesn't taste the same. The portion on this used to be more as we used to frequent Urth Caffe often for other menu items but it has been awhile since we've eaten here. Portions got smaller and price increased. Super disappointed. As Urth Caffe was my go to place, but they've also gone downhill on quality and quantity. read more

Pretty large on the inside with such a nice cozy ambiance. They also appear to have wifi since I saw people with laptops there when I was picking up my food. I came in the evening to grab dinner, but ordered their breakfast items. It is definitely not busy at this time of day. However, I was disappointed with a lot more things than just the food. When I first walked in, it was very confusing as to where the beginning of the line was. However, there was no one at the counter to come help us and we were waiting by ourselves for like a good 5 minutes, which I thought was strange. ..... Been here before and other Urth Caffe, I do actually like this one out of all the other ones I been to due to the fact that even though this one is always pack, I've never failed to find a table. As for others I can never find a seat. So massive props to this location for having a better amount of seatings, of course there can be more, aha. Service is good, I've always been greeted, and employees who take my order has always been nice. The inside is cool, I mean, it's a chill cafe, relaxing area. Food is good here, the Italian omelette is very tasty, they use organic eggs, so the eggs are more orange. Also had the panini, the el Diablo, it was soft, and the spice was right, gave it a little kick, delicious. The drinks are outstanding, Spanish latte and Italian cappuccino. We also try the macha tiramisu, my girlfriend loves matcha and wasn't a fan. I could live without it. Not my favorite. But overall everything else was great. Urth Caffe is always a nice spot to grab some coffee and food. read more
Cute cafe with ample pastry choices. I got the peppermint mocha and eggs Benedict. You start by standing in line and placing your order before finding a table. The best part of my meal was the salad which was amazing! The eggs Benedict could've been good if my egg was runny and the dish was warm. However, it was a cold hard egg with cold sauce on top of untoasted pieces of brioche which left me kinda meh.... I'd definitely recommend the coffees which looked beautifully done tho. read more

This is a unique coffee shop located in old Town Orange that uses organic ingredients in their drinks. There is ample seating inside. Shop offers a variety of drinks from cappuccinos, mochas, tapioca drinks, teas, smoothies, and more. They also have bake goods, sandwiches, and even breakfast items. I ordered the rose latte (or rose matcha latte) and really enjoyed the organic flavors of the drink. It was well worth the price and very unique compared to other tea and coffee shops I've been to. After getting our drinks, it was pretty easy to find a seat to sit at nearby. Going to try their desserts next time! read more

Is this a good place to study?
If it's not too crowded/noisy, yes! There are lots of decent sized tables.
Are there outlets at the restaurant?
Do you pay for your order first and then sit down or do they have serves at this location!?
Try to find a seat, if you order first you might be sitting and waiting until another party leaves. I recommend if you're in a group, someone looks for seating while the other takes the order.
Is there wine?? If not can you suggest an alternative nearby?
I don't think they carry wine, but they do carry beer.

We'll behaved dogs are welcomed at the outdoor tables on Chapman avenue. Only certified guide animals are allowed indoors.
The phone number does not work? I was trying to inquire if they have valet parking like the one in DTLA
They do not offer valet parking at the Orange location. There's also limited parking so you might have to drive around a bit.
What are the hours for the Orange location?
They just opened for business today. Currently the hours are 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. This is subject to change in the future depending on how busy they are in the evenings.
