I have relied on US Appliances twice now and will do so in the future. The service is prompt, honest, and reasonably priced. Moreover, if theres a minor issue you can reasonably do yourself- and save $$ - they tell you. In my case it was two wires that needed to be reconnected on my dishwasher. Saved me $60. I know of no other service company that'd do that. I appreciate the straight up honesty. If you have an appliance not worth fixing - they will tell you. When I leave a review that is less than stellar, I do hope that the owner leaves their comments as well so individuals can receive the entire story about my fairly negative refrigerator cooling issue. Pros of the experience: Punctual and available within 24 hours. Cons of the experience: Notified up front it would be an 89.95$ service fee. Not notified at any time that I had to have the refrigerator plugged in. Following both my refrigerator and freezer failing to cool, I did some preliminary troubleshooting over this prior weekend and identified the compressor windings were open when tested with a DVM, but I do not have the capabilities to do the replacement. I stated this to the individual and he plugged the unit in and said "your compressor is running. It's not your compressor. It must be your control board." Without actually doing any diagnostics or further tests, he said "You'll have to leave this sit for 24 hours to make sure it's your compressor." "But I thought you said it was the control board and that the compressor was running" "Well, it has to be the compressor. Check this tomorrow and let me know. I'll send you a quote." I asked if they were still going to charge me the 89.95 even though there was never any statement that it would be a requirement to have the refrigerator on and they didn't do any diagnostics. I presumed we could come to an agreement the meeting was a wash. That wasn't true. I got a quote for over a $1000.00 to replace the compressor and again asked to not be billed for no diagnostics. He decided money was more important than customer service and charged me again FOR NOT DOING ANY DIAGNOSTICS. I hope you think twice or at least inquire further before bringing them onsite. read more

Pretty disappointed after the service call today. They said my washing machine required some parts, one of which is the door gasket. I told him we needed that replaced before he arrived, so I wasn't surprised at that. I had even priced it and knew that I could get a replacement part for $54 from Amazon in a few days. So I was shocked when he wanted to charge $103.45 for the part, plus $25 shipping... not to mention labor. When I questioned that, he said Amazon doesn't guarantee the parts. Then I pointed out that ordering directly from LG (the washer manufacturer) is $79.99 for the same part. He said they only use their single supplier. I told him they were being overcharged, and asked if they would just do the labor if I supplied the parts, and I would waive the warranty on the parts. Absolutely not. No how. No way. Not an option. He fussed at me and told me good luck finding someone that would do it. Well.. can't say I've found someone to do it yet (haven't tried yet), but I can say I won't be using him. As consumers we need to force vendors to raise the bar. Edit/Update: In response to the owner response, I can understand not wanting to take responsibility for parts that aren't warranted, but you are buying from a company that is not the manufacturer. If you said it had to be parts from LG, I could respect that. But you didn't. You refuse to buy from the manufacturer or to use parts I supply even if I waive the parts warranty. You're buying through a third party that is marking up the price, and then you are passing that cost along to your customer. I respect that is your business model, but I don't understand why you would chose that business model. Thank you for not charging us for todays visit, though. I do appreciate that. read more

Fixed the dryer in minutes, and recommended a vent cleaner so we don't have the issue again in the future. This is the WORST company I have ever dealt with. If you don't want your appliances to work worse than before they arrived you should not call these crooks. I had them come out to look at my washing machine and dishwasher. My dishwasher I was just hoping they could clean some of the gunk out, but was otherwise operating fine. They came out and were rude and said my dishwasher was cheap. I ran the dishwasher today for the first time since they left and it's completely filled with water!!! I had an awesome experience with US Appliances. My 2 yr old Samsung washing machine stopped working after filling up for the rinse cycle. I called US Appliances and the serviceman came out quickly. He was unable to get the correct part after diagnosing that the control panel needed to be replaced. He suggested that I call Samsung, explain the problem to them, and then never charged me for the visit. Very nice company to work with. I never write reviews, but they deserve it. We have become so accustomed to mediocre service, so when someone provides exceptional service, it is such a pleasant surprise. Called Monday and they made an appointment for 2-4 on Wednesday. They called early at 1 and said they could come earlier if I wanted, and I did. Diagnosed the problem with my washing machine in about 3 minutes and had the repair part on the truck. Just to be nice, they cleaned the inside of the dryer at no cost and then gave me a $10 discount off the bill, which was reasonable to start with. We have been living from coolers for almost two weeks because an insurer couldn't get someone to fix our Samsung refrigerator/freezer. I called Samsung and they recommended US Appliances Services. I called them Saturday afternoon and was told a technician could be here Monday morning. The Technician arrived at 9:40 and took out the failed part, replaced it with a new one, opened the back took out the small drains and opened them to allow excess water to flow into a drain pan, and then cleaned the dust, dirt and grim of 9 years for the coils at the bottom. We had issues with our dishwasher not draining properly. After doing some preliminary troubleshooting on our own we figured we would give them a shot. The first time the tech came out we were charged $289.36 for a new pump after the tech said he checked over the entire unit. No problems there. Stuff like this happens and we were happy to pay. However, shortly after we were having the exact same issue with the dishwasher not draining. Called the tech and he came out again and flushed the piping from the dishwasher to the garbage disposal and saw debris come out. We were charged another service fee for something that should have been done the first time and was not. Especially if we were told he checked over the entire unit. Our dishwasher is still not draining and although the technician was nice he was not qualified to address the issue after two times. read more

Very quick response, speedy service, and flexible hours. Repair man came out early on a Sunday to look at our Whirpool clothes dryer that push start stopped working. He quickly determined we needed a new starter. Luckily he had the replacement part in his van. From start to finish he fixed our dryer in less than 40 minutes. Only con was that the total cost for repair with parts and labor was slightly more than we anticipated. About 3x the cost to buy part only. However, neither my husband or I are mechanically inclined. Great service - prompt, honest and thorough. I "inherited" all of my appliances when I bought my house a couple of years ago. Great brands, but they weren't new. I asked Mr. Singh to check my washer, dryer, dishwasher and fridge. He gave everything but the fridge a clean bill of health. How many repair people would miss the chance to charge someone for a not-really-needed repair? The fridge thermostat was wonky (I had known this because we were having issues with freezing). He called and checked if they had the part available. He was apologetic that the part we needed was basically the whole "brain" for the fridge. He priced it out, but asked if I would prefer to fix or buy a new fridge. He even gave me pointers about the types of problems I would expect from different styles of fridge (really wanted a french door fridge, but he said those break pretty frequently). I decided to repair, since it was still less expensive to replace the part than the whole fridge. Three days later (based on my schedule, not his), he came out and fixed the fridge. I had emptied the first few shelves to give him easy access - and an excuse for me to clean the inside of the fridge. When he was done fixing it, he offered to put the shelves AND food back in. Wow! Mr. Singh and Sir Patrick's versatility was valuable in bringing a resolve to a unique problem.  They worked extremely hard maneuvering their way through small cramped spaces and within the hour my unit was repaired and functional. I was a bit surprised at the estimated repair fee, however Mr. Singh came down a few dollars once the estimate was finalized via invoice. Mr Singh exemplifies customer service and integrity. Our freezer failed and we lost all our frozen food...the weekend prior to two large friend gatherings at our house! Ugh! We called Mr. Singh who responded immediately and came out Saturday AM. His work habit is fastidiuos...he observed that no surge protector was installed for the fridge and the compressor controller was fried. The compressor was burning hot and he spent an hour cooling down the compressor and then replaced the controller. He cleaned up everything...very tidy, very pleasant! He followed up with us for several days. So far so good... Initially Mr. Singh said he couldn't come out until Friday and recommended I check other options if it was an emergency (washer was not working properly). I appreciated that he was willing to pass on a job based on my needs and not his schedule. He came out Friday and assessed the washer while pointing out things for me to consider. In the end he completed a minor repair that fixed the washer. I did some online research and decided to reach out to US Appliances Services based on the great reviews and local proximity. From the first interaction to the last, the service I've received has been impeccable. Unlike the other company, they asked detailed questions when I called and gathered as much information as possible in order to prepare for my service visit. The technician arrived on time, was super friendly and professional, and very conscientious about not damaging my hardwood floor when pulling out the fridge. As pleased as I was with the responsiveness, and politeness of the representative who came to the house, our washing machine isn't fixed. When I called back, he said I should go to Home Depot to get some pads that I could easily install myself.
