My regular mail carrier is awesome. Never have any issues but when he's out, I get all these horrible mail carriers who don't pick up my daily scheduled orders. We have been having rain, leaving my packages in the rain. Today only taking some of my packages & totally over looking the rest. It's right in front of my door. This is a decent USPS. I came in the morning a bit after it opened and was second in line. They only had 1 person helping everyone which made us wait almost 10 minutes because the person in front of us had a big issue. The employees were helpful and friendly though. Ended up buying a few stamps and had my letters mailed out. read more

I came here the day after Christmas. As you would guess... they were packed to the brim with customers. The saddest thing i have ever witnessed, however, was the fact that there was only one person the entire time helping out. USPS get your act together. One employee is ringing up every customer!!!??? Especially the day after Christmas when USPS was closed for 2 days? It was a nightmare of a process. Only once or twice another employee would come out and ask if anyone was dropping off or picking up (and they would not receive any receipt). This was so cruel to let one person handle that amount of clientele all day. Hire more people... i do hope USPS is giving good raises or at least bonuses. Another thing you should always know before coming here. They do not give out tape. They sell a tony dispenser for close to $5. If you want to save money, there is a Dollar Tree store across the street where you can get 2 rolls of scotch tape for $1.25. I almost want to donate some to USPS, but i have a feeling they would not be able to give it out to people in an emergency situation. Also, it appears they have wiped out first class shipping for anything other than document sized items that lay flat. It all goes as Ground or Ground Advantage now. I had one of the most upsetting customer service experiences of my life at the USPS location in Baldwin Park, CA, during my recent passport appointment. I had an appointment to submit my passport application for an international trip that is exactly one month away, so timing was critical. I had all my paperwork in order, including a $212 MoneyGram money order (the required amount was $211.36), which I purchased because I don't have a traditional bank account. However, at the appointment, the employee named Robert told me that the extra 64 cents might result in the State Department rejecting my application. Understandably not wanting to risk missing my trip, he recommended I purchase a new USPS-issued money order and return my original one to the MoneyGram location in Anaheim -- an hour away in traffic. This quickly spiraled into a deeply stressful situation. I had to use funds meant for my cats' spay procedures to purchase the new money order. My card declined due to a PIN issue, I was visibly upset, and I ended up borrowing money from my dad just so I could pay the fee and pick up my pets. After all that, I got home and reviewed my receipt, only to realize that the USPS staff had charged me just $190 -- not the full $211.36 -- completely omitting the expedited processing fee. Had I not caught this mistake myself, I would have missed my trip, since I do not have a Real ID and need my passport to fly. I called the Baldwin Park location immediately and asked if I could pay the difference over the phone or online. The manager told me I had to return in person, which meant another 45-minute drive due to their mistake. When I arrived, I explained the situation to Daniel and another employee whose name began with a J. They were kind and apologetic, but then the main manager, Chris (a Latino male, approx. 5'10", mid-40s), came out and was shockingly rude. Rather than showing empathy or accountability, he completely dismissed my concerns, defended his team's error, and responded with: "People make mistakes. So, do you want to fix the issue or not?" I explained to him that I, too, am an operations manager, and I would never treat a customer this way -- especially one crying, shaking, and clearly overwhelmed. His attitude only escalated the situation, and eventually, I had to ask him directly to stop talking to me. He walked into a back room -- fully visible through a wall opening -- where I could see and hear him pointing at me, gesturing, and speaking about me to a colleague. This happened while I was still standing at the counter, and I heard parts of the conversation. I called him out for being completely unprofessional, especially for making comments about a customer within earshot. Daniel and the female employee looked genuinely uncomfortable and tried to help. Daniel even offered me a box of tissues, and the female cashier offered to help cover the missing amount, since I was still struggling to get a refund for the original money order. This entire ordeal was humiliating, emotionally exhausting, and completely preventable. Chris's leadership is a poor reflection of USPS and the customer service standards I expect from a federal facility. His behavior was inappropriate, unprofessional, and left me completely shaken. I'm sharing this not just to warn others but to urge USPS to seriously evaluate the management at this location. lovely staff and great service ! i usually only come by here to drop off my packages to deliver and that never takes long, as i just throw them in the big box/ bin. but i've also gotten my passport renewed, letters delivered, and even bought cardboard boxes here and it's never disappointed me so thank you!! sometimes on certain times of the weekdays, it can get a bit busy and parking is tough, but there's street parking and other plazas around. read more

Seriously, I wanted to send a package and asked for a address slip; but was told to write on the box with marker. Mind you that this visit USPS often and did not encounter a moment where they would told me that they do not provide slip/label for writing address. When I finished writing as "told"; another staff said that why don't I am write on the slip! When in fact, her colleague specifically said, use marker to write on. She then stated that they do not have sufficient slips?! What in the world is this contradiction place. Top it off was that I was told that he barely open his window and does not have change?! This post office is the reason why I pay all my bills online. Most of the time there is a long line with only 1 or 2 cashiers. Parking is a pain. They have a drop off box off the street, but guess what? It's on the passenger side. So, either you park your car (good luck with this) and walk over to the box to drop off your mail or wait till the car ahead of you drops off their mail and drive up behind them (hopefully you won't create traffic by doing this), put the car in park, transfer over to the passenger seat so you can reach the box to drop off your mail, transfer back so you can drive off without getting a citation. read more

Bunch of lazy people running a Mickey Mouse operation. Lost mails..I've lost count, so I won't even bother. Postal Driver not showing up for "daily" pick ups. Daily means exactly what it says, come pick up EVERYDAY, Not twice a week or 3 times a week, but EVERY SINGLE WEEKDAYS. FIVE DAYS A WEEK. Lazy drivers would just park under the shade and chill. Yet we were always told that they are too busy and short staffed. SMH. You have GPS on the trucks, track them! Who ever is running this joint should do their job and make sure the people works under them are doing theirs. read more

HORRIBLE! The fourth time I have gone through them misplacing my packages. And the last straw is when they opened my CERTIFIED MAIL which has my personal information in it. Workers have attitude when they are the ones at fault and they don't find themselves responsible for anything. They assume the customers are lying they did not receive their mail by showing a piece of paper it's delivered. If it were delivered why would I be visiting constantly about this problem. In N Out service today! Perfect timing I guess. Only one staff working at the front, but I was next in line. Got a parking spot right in the front. Must be my lucky day. There's a parking lot on the side and it's usually full. Keep your fingers crossed in hope that someone will leave soon so you can grab their space. I don't have any complaints with today's service. Staff was nice and efficient. She even tried to be funny with me saying that it would cost me money for a piece of tape for my envelope. I thought she was serious, but then she was like I'm only kidding, not for a piece of tape. Ha ha you sure got me there. A+ for effort. I would come back here. When I shipped the package oversea to Vietnam and the front desk told me that it will arrive within three weeks and I keep their promise on 3/2/23. today my cousin still had not receive the package over a month on 4/6/2023. When I go to Baldwin park USPS to confront the package still had not received and they told me that nothing they can do for me without any suggestions! Before they have USPS stores in Vietnam and they did not have their own USPS stores to serve in Vietnam couple years ago! I was so upset about what the USPS can promised my package on time! This is the worst PO around. These ladies have the worst attitudes. I went in and asked for Priority Shipping supplies that are usually left on the their shelves. This lady had the nerve to say that they don't supply that for us and could only give me two of them upon request. She acted like the supply comes out of her paycheck. I have been using priority shipping for the past 6 years and YES! YOU DO SUPPLY THEM FOR US. I've never had problems at any other PO. This is specifically regarding this location's passport service policies and poor communication between their call staff and the passport agents. Our local USPS does not accept walk-ins (despite being completely empty) for new applications, so they referred us here. We called this office and a gentleman confirmed that they accept walk-ins, have a photo service, and states we should arrive before 2pm today to make sure we get seen. We arrive at 12.45pm, the passport area is empty and another couple is being informed that the passport agent is gone for the day. We confirm with the staff that their policy is to make a list of people who show up at 9am, work through the list and then close. Nobody can be added to this list after 9am. Just tell us this on the phone. It's dumb but we would have accepted it. At this point, we've made an appointment at our local USPS 2 weeks from now. Hours wasted, miles on the car and gas used to get nothing done. read more

The worst post office! If I could give them 0 stars I would. They are always loosing packages or delivering to the wrong street. They've delivered my stuff to a different street with the same address number and when they "go out to recover" the recipient says they never received it! Lies! I find it funny how everyone else in my household always receive there packages yet mine are always getting lost and never recovered. I've called them 5 times today because I haven't received a package that shows it was delivered and the phone just rings. Get it together people!!! Forget this place for passports. I don't know if another Post Office works like this one but the passport service is a nightmare. If you think a DMV visit is bad you have to come here..! They start passports at 9am at least at 9 they place the sign in board at the counter. They start working around 9:45am taking applicants. The employee takes around 30 mins or even more for each application just reading the applicant information. I don't think this can be done slower than they do. Little known fact: The USPS employee application does not include independent thought as a job requirement for postal workers. It's a mid-day visit to this branch to mail a package that I've mailed dozens of times before. I know that all I need is regular Priority service as it is going no farther than a handful of zip codes away. I approach the counter after a lower than expected wait time and present my package and requisite instructions. "Would you like to send this overnight?" "No." "Would you like to add a signature?" "Nope, regular Priority is fine." "Would you like to add insurance?" "No, just what I asked for will do." "Okay, would you like some stamps or a PO box?" Sigh. "No." Having reached the end of the upsell questionnaire and with my package decorated in various labels and postage, we were onto the monetary exchange. My VISA slid uneventfully through the card reader's slot and I dutifully handed it and my ID over for final approval. "I can't accept this card, there is no signature on the back." "Right, instead of my signature I put **SEE ID** as a security precaution so that people actually verify that it's me before running it." "But there's no signature in the box, so I can't accept this." "Yes, but you have my credit card and my license which does have my signature on it and verifies with both a picture and text that I am the owner of said credit card." "I'm sorry sir; it's not valid without a signature." I took my card back, grabbed the nearest pen, and signed the box in plain view of the clerk. "There, now it's signed." "I can't read the signature, I still can't accept this." By some miracle my head didn't explode on the spot and I was able to calmly ask for a supervisor. As assurance that things wouldn't get any less surreal in the meantime, I watched the clerk dutifully rip all of the postage off of the package before returning it to my custody and instructing me to wait at the end of the counter. When the supervisor showed up I calmly explained the situation and without hesitation she called over to the clerk and told her it was okay to run the card. "Sorry for the inconvenience sir, I do the same thing on my credit cards." Evidently the employee handbook decrees that the written word of some postmaster deity must supersede both verbal authority and common sense because damn if Mrs. USPS didn't continue to stand steadfast and refuse to rerun the card. At this point, I think everyone in the place was in sheer disbelief...and then all hell broke loose. The supervisor and her subordinate took a trip to the back of the post office and everything else ground to a halt. They were gone for a solid 5 minutes and we were all left to stare cluelessly at each other as the line bred its way towards the door. Finally the pair reemerged from the back, the supervisor apparently defeated by her employee's utter resolve not to deviate from the rules. I say defeated because seemingly her only option was to call another employee up from the depths of the back office just to run my credit card. "Sir, are you aware that the back of your credit card isn't signed?" Epilogue As I write this and recount the incident, I can't help but think that the real loser in all of this is the TSA. Here they are, missing out on what must be their quintessential drone. This is by far my least favorite post office, I dread going there every time, and I only go there if I absolutely had to. First of all the parking is horrible. Parking lot is small with very limited spaces, sometimes I couldn't even turn in, like today I was stuck in the left turn lane because cars were piling up at the entrance, and cars making right turns into the lot kept on coming, so it was impossible for me to even get in. And then the employees there were not the most helpful ones. I have been to many other post offices and would not have the slightest problem shipping my packages, but they have rejected me several times because of different very minor reasons, like using an obsolete USPS priority mail envelope. Dropping off a prepaid package was a hassle, too, once they told me to go to the back and ring the bell, but I went around the whole building and was unable to find that door and bell, why couldn't I just leave it on the counter? Anyways, I would avoid going to this post office if I could, and I'd rather drive a little further to go to a different one. read more

The punk on the phone picked up giving me some BS about how since i dont live in baldwin park its not going to be at their office. He advised me to call ups, and i tried explaining to him that UPS had contacted me to contact the baldwin park post office and then he hung up on me saying he knows what he knows. WOW.. I've frequently have had to come here to ship stuff and I've seen all sorts of situations. The people that work here have an extreme amount of patience to deal with the type of people that come. They're always trying to get the customers in and out as fast as possible but you can't begrudge them for being understaffed, that's not their choice. The only thing that holds them up is the post office rules, like customers have to bring their own stuff taped up or buy tape. If you're not in a rush and have your stuff prepared correctly, they'll take care of you, but if you come in unprepared, you won't have a good experience. Some tips: -They usually call out to those who are there to pickup packages to go to the way left. -Don't use skinny tape, bring your boxes properly taped up or you'll have to use the tape there and pay for it. They used to let you use their tape if it was priority but that has stopped. -Ship Priority if possible, it comes with insurance, if it doesn't, add it if it's valuable. -Don't begrudge the people who learned a second language to communicate with you. -Don't begrudge them for having to enforce the rules that they didn't make -This one doesn't have any machines for stamps or packages, West Covina mall one does -Be nice to them read more

I came here to get my passport done at 2:30. It clearly states on their website, walk-in only from 9-3 (no appointments). I was told by the clerk that you have to show up at 9am and sign in, once everyone who signed in at 9am has been helped then they close the passport window. Very disappointing!!! I specifically went to this location due to the hours of operation. Will not be returning to this location. I should have went out of my and drove to the Glendale location. read more

UPDATE: after the lazy driver failed to deliver the package, the note said to go online to schedule a delivery, which I did. This happened tuesday. Today is Friday and tracking says its still in the post office. Luckily i got out of work early (for a long weekend) and picked it up myself. I hope they go out of business. ORIGINAL POST: The drivers refuse to deliver packages inside. Leave notes stating gate is locked. There is a huge sign on the gate indicating to come in thru the little gate door which is always unlocked. UPS and other couriers always come in and deliver packages inside. Lame service. read more

I don't think I've ever had a positive experience here. I arrived at 4:35PM and the door was locked. Website states it closes at 5PM. They had signs posted everywhere that said it closed at 5. The lady behind the counter just stood there and stared. At least update the times so we don't waste gas. read more
