My biggest complaint here is the parking lot and the people who haven't figured out how to back a car up. Remember when backing up to look behind, around, and in front of you because there's 2 rows of parking, one on each side and people always back into each other. Inside is basic, hasn't been remodeled probably ever. The lines are long, like any post office. The cool thing is this post office has 3 self-service machines with no wait. They never answer their phone or its always busy. As a pretty large post office, they only have 1 drop off box for packages inside that is almost always full. So don't even plan on dropping anything off after hours-it'll be a waste of your time. One time, a man who was also dropping off packages but couldn't, told me that they refused his packages a minute after 5pm when he tried to drop them off in the back. Sigh. Workers are lazy, waited in line, I had a box full of packages that needed postage and the worker directed me - more like pointed to the kiosk instead. I told her no because I have to slide my card for each package and it takes way too long. Then she gave me the stink eye. Come on now, you really want a kiosk to replace your job?! I try to avoid coming here. But sometimes stuck because it's on my way home. read more

Shoutout to JC (or Jaycee?) who was able to help me retrieve my lost package! Background story: package tracking info stated "Delivered" but I never received the package. Long story short 10 days later I contacted the Chino post office and JC picked up the phone and told me he would check with the courier guy and all. He then followed up closely with my case and updated me by calling me almost everyday. And finally, after 16 days since the day the package was supposed to be "delivered", all the stars aligned today and I got a call from JC saying they finally found my package!! Thank you So much for your wonderful service, JC. Really appreciate it. Though I'm still disappointed that USPS almost lost my package and failed to deliver my package on time. read more

The carrier that comes to homecoming at the preserve apartments is the most Lazy, incompetent person I have ever encountered at USPS! After we moved and did a formal change of address , this moron left a very important and sentimental and personal package INSIDE our mailbox package delivery! Mind you we had already submitted a change of address online AND inside our mailbox was a giant green card that says vacant . Yet this person still left a package and mail inside the box. So i made an appointment to reapply for a new passport a 10am. I get there at 9:45 and one of the workers noticed i had a passport in my hand thinking i was going to renew it so she takes me out of line to make sure i have all the right documents. First she says I need a copy of my DL front and back. Then after she asks more questions and says nevermind you dont need that. She says i need to fill out a "passport renewal form" So I did. 30 minutes later after finishing the form i show her the form to make sure everything is correct. Then right after that she asks me how old I am. And since im 19 renewing it as an ADULT she says I have to refill out the "apply for new passport form" instead of the one i JUST filled out. Not only did she waste my time at the post office she wasted my moms time she could have been spent working because she called off for today. Her name started with an M and she has blonde/brown hair. Friendlier service here than the Montclair post office, but the parking lot is unbelievably TINY. There are literally cars waiting in line to enter the parking lot on both sides of the street. Inside is also much larger, with many more PO boxes and a helper to assist you. read more

I attempted to mail a package in a large flat rate box from this location. I was told by the teller that the address I was sending to did not exist since it wasn't in their system. Really? I've sent mail at least a half a dozen times to that address via other USPS locations. It DOES exist. She then proceeds to ARGUE with me. She's saying I couldn't possibly know what I was talking about. She can't send the package. Finally, after about 6-7 minutes of arguing with her, she finally concedes and says they will send it without assigning an address in the system, but they can't guarantee it will arrive to the recipient since they are only going off the address on the label. At this point, I'm understandably annoyed. Thank goodness the USPS location in Wautoma, WI actually knows what they're doing. The package arrived safely to the recipient. Also, I recently moved to Chino from Indiana, and mailed about 4 boxes of my belongings in large flat rate shipping boxes. I've NEVER had a problem shipping out of the Indiana office, and they were always so polite and knowledgeable. When my packages arrived, (note all packages were marked FRAGILE) they were freshly beaten to crap. The boxes were ripped at the seams even though they were taped with duck tape. There were holes punched straight through the cardboard. These were not in transit holes. They were clean fresh holes from the carrier. Many of my items were damaged and lost since the entire 6 inch corner of one of the boxes was ripped open. My advice, avoid this post office at all costs. Do not send ANYTHING in or out of this location. You will regret it. read more

I am usually happy with the post office until today. Not the staff inside the post office rather I had an express mail that required signature. The lady rang the doorbell without a face mask, came into my face about one feet only that I stopped her coming closer and speaking at the same time. I just had a big surgery. I think it's ok if they are delivering mail without a mask, but if they are delivering letter or package requires signature, they should have face covering. But, it was a fairly painless process and wait. Luckily, my package was there and not misplaced (sadly, an instant plus!). The customer service was okay, not super friendly, but not grumpy either. The post office is the post office right? Well I use this one a LOT for my online business to ship out orders. The front end clerk staff is primarily female. They're very helpful, especially during rush hour. That "Golden Hour" from 4 to 5 pm when everyone wants to send things off at the last minute can get hectic. I've seen lines snake into the adjacent lobby. Get there before 1500 well prepared and you can easily just hand off your prepaid mail to the staff without waiting in line. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. The staff here is very disrespectful and constantly cutting off people as they're just trying to ask questions. My husband and I waited in line to pick up keys for our new mailbox. We confirmed via telephone the day prior to make sure it was there. When we got to the end of the line (after waiting for 50 min.), the staff member (I think she was the supervisor) immediately said they don't have it and wanted us to write down our number so they can call us back! We already had confirmed it and politely asked if she could go check, as she didn't even look. She finally did go to check and we got our new keys. It was such an ordeal, and if I had the choice to choose who my post office was, this would be the last location on Earth I would opt for. I understand they're overwhelmed, but people are understanding as long as they're given an explanation instead of being dismissed right away! I regularly get the wrong mail in my box. A month ago a letter my 7-year old son worked really hard on, never made it to its destination. Then, today I am extra frustrated because I've been eagerly awaiting a package. It is FINALLY here, but they put mine in someone else's bulk mail box, and theirs in mine. So I came home and tried to call...and their phone number either doesn't ring at all saying "user busy", or it rings and rings and rings with no answer. So it's going to be up to me to somehow track down a neighbor to swap packages. Let's just hope she's not out of town for two weeks. You guys need to do better. read more

This post office constantly looses or misdelivers or marks tracking numbers as delivered when they aren't. It's not right to make you worry where your package is at specially if they are very important documents such as passports and birth certificates. Having first gone to a supposedly 'full service' shipping store that didn't have flat rate service, I was behind the eight ball in timing. Of course the entire city of Ontario was there but honestly they did an awesome job of moving the line and providing top notch friendly service. I was pleasantly surprised. This PO is absolutely horrible. I have lived in Chino for 7 years now. We live in a condo complex and I swear every time I am expecting a package something happens and I have to try and call someone who cares at the Po. What a joke. If were lucky the carrier will leave a note in my box but the funny part is they never actually try and deliver it to my door. They don't want to take the time to walk thru the complex to do their job. I then have to wait a few days until they stop "attempting to deliver" it then I have to go in to that god forsaken office and deal with the absolutely rude employees.
