This won't be a very long review as I purposely went to this post office on my way home from work, one early AM because the one near my house had their automated mailing/postage machine's scale not working. So I stop in before they are open, but they leave the front doors open so you can get in to check your mailbox & use this automated machine. Its a very busy time of year & I'm trying to get my last 3 xmas packages out. I get them all weighed & my postage bought for these 3 packages then I go to put them in the big, metal mailer bin & its locked.....UGH!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME????!!!! I believe it locks when the bucket on the other side of the wall gets full. So now I can't mail my packages out...WTH. Come on guys, I know everyone is busy taking care of the mail & packages but please, please, please....can't you just take a minute & switch out the full bin so people can get their xmas packages out?????? This become the worse usps office. My package did not deliver to my customer they never scanned it. I had to refund the money. And another episode happened today at 3pm on 10/3. The officer who worked at the small kiosk so rude! I work with customer service that's not how you talk to customer. I missed the old guy before I never seen him anymore. Replaced by rude guy. I've visited this location many times and the employees and management are always so helpful and kind. (Which I'm sure can't be easy when they're dealing with grumpy people all day.) They're working as fast and efficiently as they can; it's not their fault that the line of customers basically never ends. Just don't expect to get in and out of here quickly! It's always crazy busy here, so I don't think I've ever waited less than half an hour in line. They have a self-service kiosk that's supposed to speed things along, but sometimes there's a wait for that too. read more

I've been here a bunch, mainly to pick up my mail AND this is where I got my passport. The passport is easy enough and that service is fine. The lines aren't too long here and it seems relatively clean. My biggest and only problem here is when I switched over my address when I moved from California last year. Instead of forwarding my mail to my new address, this post office sent ALL of my mail, including what was addressed to the new address (PO Box) BACK to the sender, including my NV driver's license. It was a huge fiasco which had me calling my old post office in California and calling and visiting here a bunch to get it straightened out plus going back to the DMV + paying more money to get another driver's license. Gah! Any place that makes you spend an extra 6 hours at the DMV automatically can NOT get 3 stars or higher. read more

This Young man Ken is here early, and taking time from his cleaning duties to actually help the patrons here in the post office including myself. Every time I come to this location it is the absolute worst experience. I have tried to do my children's passport application at this location and every single time they refuse to do it and come up with any excuse to avoid filing my paperwork. First time they said I didn't get copy of my license and couldn't file my paperwork. After I got a copy of my license for the next appointment they claim that since my notarized paperwork is expiring that week they cannot file my paperwork and I have to get notarized again . The third time I try to file the passport application they state that my signature doesn't match. They come up with any excuse to refuse to finish the application. read more

I am not sure what's worse, the customer service or the clientele. The place is so dirty and I know this sounds awful but I legitimately felt unsafe here. Not to mention there was zero sense of urgency or attention to detail. Not one of the 10 people working showed any type of pride in their work. If I can give no stars I would! We came to this post office to get our mail key as we have just moved in to our new home. Valle verde is zoned to us, we went in last week Friday Oct. 7th, the lady was not friendly, walked away had us waiting then comes back & we tell her what we need, she seemed bothered to begin with. She asks to spell out our new address as I was doing so my partner shows her the lease with the new address she filled it out looking at our lease & says it'll be ready by Monday. Well as we work we couldn't pickup the mail key we decided to go in today, Oct. 15th to get it as we're both off on weekends. Same girl calls us up as we're next in line we give her the paper & she walks away, again not friendly, no smile nothing.. comes back with another person & this person is going off saying that the owner went in saying to not give us the mail key, I told her " You are wrong, my partner works with the owner & we rent off him" she said let me get the manager walks away & comes back with the manager as we show the manager the lease she agreed how they were wrong & they have to fix the problem. We found out they had wrote down the wrong address. The Asian lady starts to tell us that it is our fault for not looking at the paper that they had the wrong address. I told her "this is your fault, your mistake. We gave this person the lease if she wrote the address wrong how is this our fault?" She continued to blame us giving us attitude & yelling, so unprofessional. She put in the new order so now another week we have to wait for our mail key & as we were leaving the building we heard her still blaming us for their mistake, taking no responsibility or accountability. So disrespectful & unprofessional. Highly disappointed, I would not recommend for anyone to come to the Valle Verde location. If you can stay away from this place please do so. By far my favorite location. Today, the line was long but the post office personnels handled the customers, with good attitudes and bad, very well. It's the holiday rush and they know just how to handle the flow of the traffic and each customers. They were even extra helpful when I asked what type of mailing route is safest and fastest. Sometimes I think that the dumbest bird: the turkey and not the eagle ought to be the symbol of my post office. I say this because the turkey represents my mail carrier. Not only does my mail carrier that works out of this office do stupid things but it seems like he is doing it on purpose. I have lived at my address longer than I have been yelping, which is years. At this address that I have lived in, I return to my mail box after a week and a half to find a surprise when I turn the key and open my mailbox. All my mail is gone. I know that I left a small pile of mail in the nearly empty mailbox when I was leaving because my landlord was inspecting my apartment wanted it clear of info. When I opened the mailbox there was going to be a problem of resenting my bills. Fortunately there were no checks in transit. My other concern is that my postal carrier is going to stop mail delivery to my address. So after a hard day's work, I had to motor across Green Valley to the post office. This leads into another complaint that I will address in the following paragraph. My major beef with this post office besides incompetence is that I reside less than a mile from another location, however, it is this location nearly five miles each way that is my post office. This makes absolutely no sense. When I arrived in this United States Post Office there was a relatively short line. Now being the post office none of the postal workers were in a rush. Now I do give credit for a postal worker attempting to remediate the line by sending some of the people to the UPS desk. When it was my turn, one of the two postal workers at the counter assisted me. He asked me why I left the mail there. I told him it was a small pile and that the mail box was mostly empty. He took my address then walked to the back to try and find my mail. Now there was one postal worker assisting the long line of easygoing people in back of me. As I expected my mail was gone. He claimed that my mail was in the mail box later than ten days. Hmmm! In ten days no bills or mail arrived! This leads into the issue that the Post Office has the attitude that they ate never at fault and are perfect. For all I know my postal carrier could of thrown out my mail or did something worse. It is obvious that one postal worker would never hold one of their own culpable. Instead he told me that if I go away that I need to fill out an "Authorization to Hold Mail" form. Consecutively he filled out a note informing my mail carrier to deliver mail to this address and that I still reside here. His last words were to place a note in my mailbox standing up saying that I want to get my mail and still live here. The United States Post Office deserves some of the negativity directed toward it. There was absolutely and positively no reason to clear out a resident's mail box that was nearly 80 percent empty a week and a half ago. I think the mail carrier was purposely showing off his power while busting my chops. He has nothing to lose. Well maybe my mail. I remember the expression of going postal. It seems that at my post office there is trickle-down going postal where the mail carriers create bad situations that trickle down to their residents. I hope that my mail carrier reads my letter and starts sending my mail. In the future I will have to visit the Post Office up the street from me to pick up "Authorization to Hold Mail" forms to avoid a surprise if I am gone for a few days. read more

I know government employees are notorious for being angry and bitter, but the employees here really take it to the extreme. I can't think of a positive experience that I've had at this location. Unfortunately, I'm zoned to this office for certified letters and my neighborhood mailbox. Let's start at the beginning. When we bought our house we wanted our mailbox lock change so we entered our request....and nothing. At the time my husband and I were both working about 60 hours a week and not near this office so we had to let it go. We just didn't have time to follow up on the lack of response from lazy government employees on top of jobs and all of the work that comes with a new (existing) home. Fast forward to months later and I came home to find that my key no longer worked in my box. We made the inconvenient trip to the post office to find that the once lost request was found and processed. What?? I also had a certified letter fiasco with this office. I won't get into detail since this is already getting lengthy. The few times I've come here to mail items I've regretted it. The long line does not move fast here. I stand in the same spot for an unacceptable amount of time. At least the line at the location on Sunset near the airport moves. Then when I get to the counter I get a crabby, angry worker....even by post office standards they are bitter humans. Good luck getting anyone to come to the window with the buzzer. Signs direct you there for certain requests and then nobody comes to the window. It's not all doom and gloom here. The parking lot is huge and I've never had a problem finding parking. The location is easy to access from Horizon Ridge. The lobby also stays open after hours so that flat rate boxes and the free shipping supplies are available at all hours. read more

I came to this branch to pick up certified mail. But experienced a very rude older male guy that discriminate customer. Pushes me away even though showing him my photo ID and tracking number. He doesn't want to put any effort on listening to the customer and checking the status of the mail for pick up. Now the certified mail been returned to the sender, that I should have picked up the time I'm there at the branch. Sender checked status and provided me the exact location of the certified mail and it's still there that time. Now I have to wait another week or so to get the certified mail re-ship. Pls. Look into training your employees of handling customers in regards to discrimination and harassment course. As this is not ok for your business overall. read more

I hate going to the post office. Long lines and grumpy people. Just ew. But this location has changed my view on the USPS forever. This morning I had to ship a complicated package. I mentally prepared myself for this with my coffee in hand and a quick pep talk in the car to remind myself to be nice. As I walk in the door I am greeted by a friendly employee who offers to help me. We walk over to the self service machine where he guides me through the process, selecting the correct insurance and tracking. I pay for the postage and then BOOM! I'm done. I was literally there for only 3 minutes. The gentleman was patient and pleasant. I kind of wanted to hug him. He wished me a good day and I was out the door. I walked back to my car in complete disbelief. It can't get any better than this. Better customer service than Disneyland. There I said it. I have the luxury of going to the post office at any time of day. I can usually hit it a non peak time so I'm not standing in a long line. There is usually plenty of parking. One of the entrances is a little bit tricky. Go slow because someone can come around the corner and not see cars from the other direction. I so love the self serve kiosk. I find not many people use it so it's open for me! It's easy to use plus I can buy stamps from it. This is especially helpful during the crazy holiday season! The flat rate boxes are also a huge plus for me. I can usually fit anything I need to ship in one of the sizes they offer. Score! The few people I have had help from here have been so friendly and helpful. Especially when we first moved here, I vividly remember how much one of the ladies went above and beyond to get us our mailbox keys. It was truly outstanding. I usually use their online services and have my postal clerk pick up the mail delivery. I already had paid and printed out a mail label but this time I needed a special envelope to use their express delivery service. So off to the P.O. I went. Ughh.. I dread coming here. The parking lot and inside post office is always hectic and every other customer doesn't have their act together so they slow down the line. Surprise! Today was not busy at all! Counted 4 cars in parking lot. Inside only one other person was being assisted at the counter. I found appropriate envelope I needed myself. It was easy to find since everything was labeled. Stuck the contents in the envelope, taped the mailing label on. Postal clerk was still with a customer but saw my envelope ready to go in my hand, waved me over and glanced at the package I handed to him, acknowledged me and said "Thank you!" I was out of there less than one minute tops. That's a record timing. Minus one star for high postage fees I had to pay. read more

Every review detailing how rude the staff is at this post office is correct! I would give 0 stars if I could! The mail carrier incorrectly marked my address as vacant and did not notify me. I repeatedly tried to explain to the clerk that I checked my mailbox and my informed delivery account multiple times AFTER the address was declared vacant and would have been able to address the situation if I was properly notified since there was no indication of an issue. The clerk, Gola, was more concerned with arguing with me than actually assisting me, would cut me off as I was explaining my grievances, and continually disregarded everything I said. Apparently, mail carriers can mark an address as vacant at their discretion and are not required to notify the tenant in a timely manner so there was nothing I could do. This was incredibly frustrating because my mail wasn't checked because my Mother was hospitalized AND both my partner and I were significantly ill. Gola just shrugged and said it happens. I finally got fed up with not being heard and asked to complete the interaction because I felt the miscommunication would not be resolved. Gola responded to my request with more rude looks and comments, stating "there was no miscommunication" before proceeding to argue with me once again, clearly demonstrating that she was not listening to anything I said. I would rather go to the dentist then go back to this place. You want to talk about POOR service, its no wonder the USPS is loosing to UPS Stores and other mail places. If we could have done what we needed done at the UPS store, we would have instead of coming here. Let me expand. We came in and of course there was a line with only 2 people behind the counter and one guy walking around trying to look busy.. We were there to do a door to door mailer which he even came over as soon as we came in and confirmed with us. After about 5 minutes of standing in line, this guy came over and started pulling people with only one piece of business over to another counter. As he took some from the back of the line and some from in front of us, we eventually moved to be second in line. The lady who was first had 5 packages to send out and said she was passed over 3 times. She finally got called to the counter and we moved to be first in line, our time now nearing 30 minutes. After standing there for another 5 minuites, this guy trying to look busy finally came over and told us to come to his counter. Our transaction with him took less then 3 minutes. So, IF ANYONE AT THE USPS READS THIS....If you have a floater, they should take the next person in line and help them if they can, not pick and choose who you want to help and when you run out of options then help the person you have been skipping over and over and over....You want to know why you are loosing business, because of employees like this.... read more

I was in the building before they closed and waited in line. When I finally got to the front the 3 men working told me that they're not going to help me anymore because they want to close. They could have at least told me that before I waited for so long. Either that, or change their hours of operation because it was not 5:30 pm when they told me to get out. I hate going to post office, especially during the holiday season because the wait is loooong...however, this visit wasn't bad. The staff that helped me were super friendly. The gentlemen took me over to the self kiosk and walked me through answering numerous of questions on the computer screen before a label was printed out to send my package within the US. When my second package needs to make it to an APO box address, he walked me back to my place in line...since APO box address can't be done on the self kiosk. I then got the lady and she was quite helpful. I guess your experience depends on who help you but it was my lucky day that both the gentleman and lady were friendly and helpful! read more

I was very disappointed with my short interaction with the lady with long blonde hair and glasses at the service desk today. I asked a simple question about where to go as we received a notice stating our mailbox was broken into and we had to go to the post office to pick up our mail. She responded in a short, rude, and condescending tone trying to make me feel like I was less then and stupid for asking my question. This employee works in the customer service industry and for her to make customers feel this way instead of just greeting customers with a smile and politely answering their question, is a very sad thing. This is the USPS close to my home today I badly needed 12 of padded priority envelope to send something to family the cashier won't give me what I needed despite she has 9 dozen stacks on the cabinet. Aren't that suppose to be given if customer needed the mailing envelopes? She is in fear that she will lose her stockpile. Madam it's not some toilet papers that you need to hoard. Not too bad of a post office - the employees were all very helpful and friendly. It's not often you see this sort of customer service. They have a nice little annex store inside to purchase supplies or expedite your visit. I will definitely recommend and revisit this location. Very rude employees with barely any parking. They said they stopped doing pass ports at 2 , so we drove 30 mins to get there to find out their was "to many people," to get ours today. The "to many people" included only 6 people.... Can you say "lazy" people.... Would not recommend coming to this post office. Not to mention how dirty the floors were. This is my second time being here , I was hoping they would improve their service! But nope. I signed the passport list 2 hours ago and they skip around the list so don't expect going when you think you will. I DO NOT RECOMMEND going to this post office ! Especially on a Saturday! Very long lines with slow working people. You can tell the passport lady is trying to be friendly but the wait just keeps dragging on. The clerk counted out the stamp packets behind the clear plastic partition, that had a sign blocking my view. I should have recounted the packets before leaving, but I didn't.
