I've sent FPO boxes multiple times due to my parents being stationed overseas, and one of the ladies that worked here decided to give attitude to my boyfriend and I like we didn't know how to file the information for the package. The most hood post office i have ever seen. Although the neighborhood ain't bad, it is a far cry from what I'm used to after visiting the Seal Beach and Irvine locations. I feel like this is the spot where bad postal workers are sent by the USPS in an effort to make an attitude adjustment. It's like being banished to another world, some sick form of psychological torture. The people behind the 3" thick glass walls seem as pleasant as broken glass. No smiles, no hello's, only what's and smirks. But, despite their lackluster attempt at customer service, all the packages I've sent outta here have made it to their destination. Amazingly. If you can avoid going to this post office, do it. Parking is limited and the staff, especially the old Filipino guy who seems/acts like the post master/manager during the weekends, are very rude and provide the wrong information. I've had to pick up several packages despite giving my signature approval and each time I either get: 1) we don't allow package delivery to your building (oh yeah, how come there are packages on top of my other neighbor's box and why do you still provide me w/ the slip that clearly gives me the option to sign and have you leave the box at my discretion?) 2) write an explicit note stating that you want the package left on top of your box (did that and even handed a note to a post office person working the front desk to leave all packages but to no avail) OR 3) sign and fill out the package slip (I have and stated when I'd like delivery only to never see the package or get another slip stating that someone attempted to deliver) I was told that post office staff actually have to go through rigorous training and take multiple exams to get their job. This location is set far back from the street, which would be ok if the sign wasn't just as far back; it's easy to pass this place (it's just east of the car wash) multiple times, not even the street number is displayed obviously. That annoys me. Granted, the size of the office is such that maybe they aren't dying for the crowds: the room with the service windows is small (no wheelchair-friendly window, BTW) and I would guess when lines get long, it's claustrophobic. The lobby is rows upon rows of PO boxes, and like Linny said, none of the DIY automatic machines I've seen at every other post office for the past several years. I went 20 minutes before closing and there was no line, although their credit card/ATM machines were broken. It was ok, I guess, other than the package I was there to pick up took forever for the employee to find. I only plan on returning if I need to pick up another package. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Everyone here has attitude and so SLOW. Especially the old Hispanic man at the far end. What would have taken less than 10 mins at another post office took him 30 mins with me and that's not even including the amount of time I waited in line. The closest Post Office to me is the one on 3rd/Long Beach Blvd, I rather drive to this one. The Good: -Free Parking, never had a problem to find space -No long waiting -Courteous employees, not the "go out of the way nice" but straight to the point & polite kind The Bad: If your carrier belongs to this location, you will rarely get your mail or it will be damaged. When I used to live near this area and our regular carrier was out on vacation, our mail was a mess, damaged or missing. I called to complaint & they told me that my carrier belong to this post office. So happy when I moved. read more

I travel for work. I use a PO Box so that my mail will be securely handled and held. I am an Amazon Prime Member and a lot of what I receive is in the form of Fed ex or UPS deliveries. All USPS location that offer PO Box service to utilize the Parcel Delivery address service so you can receive packages. I have had a PO Box for years. I have lived in many cities during that time and used the locations available to me. This is the first location that I have experienced the packages taking upwards to one week to be delivered to my po box. Although, I had proof of delivery from the retailer. Each time I go in to speak with someone about it I am in a line that is extremely long. I mention this because they have a separate window for PO Box users. Each time I have attempted to wait in line I was surrounded by disgruntle individuals. I have been told that it takes them several days to process the packages that were received fri and saturday each week. When you pay for next day priority shipping and you don't get it until a week later is craziness. People have complained of not receiving Social Security checks and other more important items than anything I could ever order. When you call 1800ASKUSPS you find yourself waiting for more than an hour. They then send you to Consumer Affairs which is another hour. In fact I am writing this while on hold once again. This time marks the second time they have not updated my package's whereabouts. Their tracking system stated on Dec 16th 2015 that it was out for delivery. This is odd because it was sorted the day prior at the post office according to the online system. It is now Dec 20th and It stated the item is not updated. If I were to go into the post office and stand in line. I would be told to wait another week. I would also be told that even if the online system said it was delivered it would take another two to four days to get the slip in my po box in order to pick it up. I have been on the phone for 2 hrs and 22 minutes at this time. I will be switching my PO box to another location. This is the third month I have had this box and this location is the only location in my experience with the USPS that has been this poor. I would not recommend a PO box here or using this location for anything. If you are having problems here, according to the person that oversees this location is Ms. Enriquez. I was given her contact information. She has no voicemail set up so I am calling back and will update this when I get a more secure way to contact her. read more

I live across the street from this post office, and the mail carrier does not deliver packages to the door. I get a delivered package alert and it says in/at mailbox. I am here in the building with my phone and my front door seconds away from the mailbox area. My package is not in the mailbox area even though I arrive there right after receiving the text. The workers are always pleasant and helpful. And how could I not love picking up packages when I get that little dull apricot colored note in my mailbox? This post office sucks! MAJORLY! I put in a request mid December to have my mail forwarded to a new address beginning of January. I noticed the end of December I wasn't receiving any mail. I figured it's the holidays so I'll wait a little bit. Needless to say, I have not received any mail since the day after Christmas. When I called the office some chick named Rita says "your mail carrier is out of the office so I can't really ask him. Only he knows. I have your request and it says to start forwarding January 8th...you can call back in the am when the carriers are still in the office". Dear Rita, my dad is a mail carrier so I know the game. It would've been easier to admit you guys effed up and started forwarding my mail weeks before you were supposed to. I have no clue where my mail is or a package I was suppose to receive. Long lines and but nice people work here. They are a small office and the people who work here are very helpful. They know a lot of the regulations and they appear to be extremely hard working. I am surprised by how busy this place is. But I am glad that they have not shut down this branch. read more

Worst post office ever!!! These employees are slow They open at 9 am and have a tremendous line every Monday. One window opens he's counting his money while everyone is in line... Really?? Then another postal worker opens her window and has no cash. Aren't they suppose to have all this ready before they open. I always have to drive to another post office to avoid these slow lazy employees. If they don't enjoy their job then leave. Some other employees here are great but come on people have to go to work and fight the bustle. And these slow workers need to get it on with energy. Also, they have this older Asian who he is the slowest of them all. He takes his time sips on his coffee wipes his crumbs off from his breakfast sandwich. The window clerks are really nice, patient, knowledgeable and go out of their way to explain their shipping products. If I could give less stars I would. I have a small weirdly shaped mailbox at my apartment and a lot of things cannot be delivered there and they do not ever go to my door. At the post office they have a separate door that you ring a bell and just wait for someone to hopefully come help you. I have never waited less than 15 minutes just for someone to help me. People have waited an hour. The last time I went they mysteriously didn't have my package even though my delivery slip written by them says it's there. We had the best mailman in the world for the last 15 years (Lam) but he moved to another route and since then we have had nothing but problems. The people in the office had tons of bad attitude. Mail I should have received never arrived (Including money). We have had temp carriers for almost two months, and every single person in our building has had problems with mail being mis-delivered. When we have called or gone to the office, we get nothing but attitude and run-arounds.
