I would give it 0 stars if possible. There is no self stamp machine so if you think you are going to print your own labels your not going to do it here. That's what I wanted to do and couldn't. There were no labels at the label stand, and they wouldn't let me fill it out at the teller station. I had to go back to the end of the line!!?? The lines are also long and the tellers are rude. Only use as a drop off location! Don't wait in line. read more

My girlfriend orders a lot of packages to come to our apartment. Usps only gets about 25% of these packages to our house on time. They often say "delivery attempted" even when there was no knock on the door, and clearly nobody attempted anything: I'm now waiting at this post office in person because they've failed to deliver the package for a whole week and my girlfriend is afraid they will lose it or send it back. There are three people lazily walking around half-assing one person's job. I've seriously never seen anyone walk so slowly at work before. Also gossiping about coworkers amongst each other right in front of my face. Not professional. read more

Every cliche about the horrors of an inefficiently run post office exists here. If you come here you better bring a chair or a sleeping bag because you'll want to get comfortable while you have to wait for the nearly non-existent service here. There's a "special window" for mail pick-up only here, which for some reason, never had anyone attending it. Pissed. Was there forever while Andrea looked for my package. She ended up leaving in the middle of the search to what I found out later was her lunch and not saying anything. I waited some more another woman with pink hair shows up and finds my package with 5 mins just as Andrea comes back. Wow. How this place got above 1 star is beyond me...it is THE WORST. This place seriously needs to be heavily fined and shut down. (By the way, if you're a lawyer and reading this, I welcome any tips on how to handle mail fraud.) Here is my list of grievances: 1. I went online this past summer and paid to forward my mail for 6 weeks. When I came home after that clinical rotation, my mail was strewn about the lawn everywhere! I was totally livid. Not only did they ignore a request that I paid for (granted, only $1 but it's the principle of it), but also they just haplessly left the mail everywhere so it got blown about by the wind. Who knows if something important blew away... I was also angry because having the mail pile up was a clear sign that I wasn't home for an extended time, so I'm very lucky someone didn't try to break in and rob me. Later on, I talked to one of the constantly changing mail carriers about this, and he casually mentioned, "Oh, I was thinking about just holding the mail since it looked like no one was getting it." Yes...maybe if you guys used just a little common sense, we wouldn't be having this issue... I should have filed a complaint about this, but it was my bad not to follow up on it. However, I don't think it would have helped, given my most recent experience described in 2) below: 2. I went out of town for 3 weeks and decided to try a different approach this time since requesting online was an utter fail. So this time, I filled out an official form to put my mail on hold, and then I would come in and pick it up at the post office in 3 weeks. I left this in my mailbox to ensure my postman would see it. I *thought* this would make it easier on them since they didn't even have to come to my place. Boy, was I wrong. When I came back, I found the same thing - a pile of mail nearly spilling out of my mailbox. I immediately became suspicious. However, I did note that my yellow mail hold request form was gone, so they must have received it, right? The next day, I went to this post office to collect my mail. They said they didn't have any of it, and told me to call the manager. YOU A-HOLES LOST 3 WEEKS' WORTH OF MAIL after I specifically made a mail hold request (and followed the proper channels to do so)?!?!? Once again, livid. 3. I called the phone number than an employee told me to call. I've called 4 times now, and no one has picked up. WTF?? I left a message the first time, but since then, I've never been able to get an answering machine. Now, the phone just rings and rings. So shady!! (Of course, no one called me back either, after I left a message.) 4. When I've come in, all the employees here are super surly. I know you probably don't have the greatest job, but don't be so glaringly obvious about hating your job and making sure all your customers know. I've never received good service here! 5. The hours here are just average. 9-5pm. Very hard to come in during regular hours if you work a full-time job or are in school full-time. 6. Always a line. There are about 5 windows at this post office, but only 1-2 people at the most staffing them. So inefficient! 7. Parking is horrible. There are about 3 spaces, and I always have to wait & "vulture out" a spot the 4-5 times I've been here. So bottom line is, this post office is a place where good customer service goes to die. I'd recommend it if: 1) You're an MMA fighter or boxer looking for that right spark to put your anger over the edge in seconds and fuel your next fight, 2) You are struggling with low self esteem and want to feel better about yourself with proof that incompetency really does get worse, and need a plethora of real-life examples to demonstrate how. By the way, thanks for ignoring my forwarding & hold requests that I made through the proper channels, and losing 9 weeks' worth of mail! The only thing I'd give them credit for is being consistent...about their mediocrity. read more

This is a pretty dank operation, bad lighting, crapped out displays - generally depressing to visit. Uninspired people behind the Lexan shields, avoid this place at all costs. The worst part of living in the area is the fact that these same people deliver the mail, not all bad, but once we get a good one, they move them to another route and we are left with sorting mail out amongst neighbors, texting or emailing asking if they got yours and them doing the same. The latest iteration of mail carrier is young man with ear-buds and an iPhone jacked in, he's talking to people while driving, while delivering, he's just wonderful, unfortunately the job he was hired to do is sadly lacking. read more

Its no wonder why the USPS recently reported a 16 billion dollar loss of revenue this year...especially when places like this USPS location exist. Small Parking - the parking lot is really small and only has spaces for like 6 cars. At least let your customers park in the extra spaces in the back lot. Opens @ 8:30am - Most people are usually already at work by 8:30am... I would have at least expected opening hours like 7:30am or 8:00am to accomodate most working professionals. Horrible Service - mornings appear to be the busiest times for most Post Offices... so why is there only 1 window open when you have 10 people waiting in line? In addition, I had to get into it with the lady at the window - she seriously lacked any communication skills and had a major attitude. She literally raised her voice at me, so I definitely had to return the favor. Again. I'm not surprised USPS is falling behind. it is understandable that service falters these days, doesn't just about everything? we're struggling with what life throws our way, sometimes we're bound to get overwhelmed. but leave it to this particular post office to elevate giving absolute zero f-s to just about official way of doing business. parcels with delivery confirmation get left in some driveway a couple blocks up the streets. a carrier who does not want to trouble himself attempting mail delivery up two flights of stairs (i understand..) simply writes a 'missed delivery' slip while still in his truck and drops it in like some kind of a ninja, failing to spot the camera. but the real indifference is displayed by some of the customer-facing staff. when the official customer support line/tracking says the package is at the post office and for reasons unknown isn't being delivered, the office staff simply responds that they don't know anything about it and can't help further without willingness to officially admit it as lost or do any research. at this point one has to wonder whether any kind of oversight exists for individual USPS locations. While I can and do use other services to send my mail, Its not possible for me to choose my local post office, and the negligence with which this location goes about their job has cost me dearly. read more

UPDATED FROM 1 STAR TO 3. Heard from the supervisor, had a long chat about the amazon delivery issues with my carrier. Sounds like they're on it, fingers crossed. ----Original---- I'm writing regarding Amazon deliveries passing through this branch. I used to have a great mail person...unfortunately he retired a few months ago. It's been chaos ever since. On the first Amazon delivery after retirement, the mail person left a "couldn't be delivered" slip, so I had to go to the post office to pick up the package....even the postal clerk was shocked. After all, why am I paying for prime shipping if the packages aren't delivered? This happened a second time so I asked for the supervisor to please call. They never called. I've dealt with various minor issues since...but this week really set met off and led to writing this review. Several Amazon items were due to arrive last week. They never came so I finally checked the tracking number - out for delivery on the scheduled date, then nothing: "Post office has not updated delivery status." No attempts are redelivery, just nothing. Even though I've requested that Amazon stop using USPS as a carrier, they set up a reorder due to be delivered today with...USPS. So I filed an inquiry at USPS with a request for the supervisor at Glassel Park to call me. No phone call from the supervisor yet (of course), and although I've called several times, they don't answer the phone. I'd give anything to have my processed via the York office. Glassel Park is a disaster IMO. read more

i have been calling since 830am no answer, just rings and rings. Ive hung up and called back at least 10times. my postperson is incompetent, I get packages and if theyre too big for my mailbox, the person puts in a water pail, that belongs to my neighbor ( I live in a duplex) or I just don't get my package I call to get a trace and management doesn't even bother to follow up on yet. In the last year I have had to make multiple trips to the local post office for various reasons. Today I had to go collect my mail which I placed a vacation hold for, for the past weekend and I was heading there when I found mail rubberbanded and thrown over the fence nowhere near the mailbox. This mail was completely wet and muddy and destroyed. One item was postal priority mail with a confirmation number which was scanned delivered in mailbox. When I got to the post office there was no mail that had been placed on hold. Where is my mail? 2 months ago my neighbors mail had been thrown over the same way including multiple packages different location but again nowhere near the mailbox. I submitted a service request for a package I was missing over a month ago and I received the initial contact that was not from the local office saying local office would contact me within 3 day and I have yet to hear anything back this package value was over $100. This is unacceptable and definitely not how carriers are trained that I am aware of. What is going on with the training at this location? Something needs to be done! read more

My package arrived here Monday 3/25 around a 8:30 ish from ISC San Francisco. However it was suppose to go to 90056 and I guess whoever was sorting had dyslexia and confused 90056 with 90065. Now today is Friday 3/29 and I've called all week and was told my package was sent back the same day 3/25 to get resorted to the correct facility. However I haven't got a update since then . It's been saying Arrived at Unit since the day it arrived. I even offered to make the drive to go pick it up and was told it's not there anymore. I'm upset because I need this package for a trip and it looks like I won't have it. I've read the reviews for this post office and can't help but to think negative thoughts like they lost my package or stole it. This is upsetting because it took a week to get cleared through customs then this. Update: I have found out that they sent my package back to the UK where it was sent from instead of it being sent to Los Angeles Distribution Center to get sorted back out to the correct zip code. Hello and welcome to Poverty Simulator 2014! I hear you may not be poor! Well good for you, but if you want to do anything that requires human interaction, you are officially poor as of right now. You get to stand in line with a bunch of destitutely other poor people and listen to all their problems, such as "I think stamps should be 25 cents, not 32 cents" for an hour, or "if I take my package outside and shave off pieces of whatever it is I'm trying to ship, would it be a dollar cheaper? Will you wait for me while I do this?" It doesn't matter if you just need to pick up a package, or send 15 soggy, suspicious looking packages to the presidents of south american countries, you will wait in line for everyone's crazy bullshit until they are good and ready to be done. You'll wait, while an old guy fills out the address on a bunch of packages with crayon, and his runny nose drips on the paper every 20-30 seconds while he does so, unnoticed. You'll wait while a super angry dude tries to ship packages to celebrities whose address he doesn't know and furiously asks the post office to provide. Oh yes, you will wait. And you better hope more than 4 other people with cars also don't decide to join Poverty Simulator 2014, because there are four (4) parking spaces. I have no idea why all of my packages are suddenly here instead of the Echo Park post office, but I assume it's because I didn't pay my parking tickets or something. TL;DR, Enjoy waiting in line with a bunch of crazy people trying to send sketchy things to places they've apparently barely heard of while 1 (maximum of 2) employees disinterestedly try to wade through the various messes with no regard to how much time it takes. Also there's no parking and they close exactly at 5, so if you work till 5 HA fuck you, you can never, ever have your package. Ever. read more

Went to the post office to ask a simple question and the African American worker and the red head were just giving me attitude and weren't even trying to help me. They were mad because I interrupted their conversation and after I walked away they continued eating and talking about whatever they were too occupied with. I had to renew my Passport, and surprisingly the Atwater Village Post Office doesnt offer this service. So i checked online, and saw that Glassell Park does. I called on Friday, made an appointment for Saturday, and they took care of everything... really fast. When i got there, there was no line (around 12:45pm), and i advised their rep that i had an appointment for 12:45. She started the process, looked over my documents, took my picture, and that was that. $200 later i should be getting my passport in about a month. CANADA here i come! read more

Should have Checked the rating of this dump before I came in. First of all the Postal Workers park and even double up on ALL customer parking spaces leaving 1 handicap space available. Then when you park there and run in they come out from doing nothing in the back to tell you that you will get a ticket! Are you KIDDING me? On 04/08 I paid $26 for next day delivery of my 2019 TAXES to arrive in Malibu the next day 04/09. It is now 04/15 and my tax accountant called me and said she did not receive my taxes yet. I went to the tracking number and it is stating it NEVER left the Post Office Location in the first place. I went in to go get it to physically drive my package to Malibu when they said my package was gone and to file a claim after 30 days. WHAT A JOKE! Update on 06/20. 2 months later! My tax accountant said she just got my Taxes! I paid for over night service and it got to 16miles in 2 months! Did a baby crawl there and deliver it? read more

Closets USPS near my home and it's OK, dated for sure but I'm not there to admire the decor, all I want is my mail & stamps. Staff is as friendly as you will get, they may get paid well but I too would get FEO (ugly) face if I had to deal with people that don't understand what was just explained on how much and what options they can do to mail out their packages and still question it. Place has about 5 windows but only 1 to 2 windows are active at any given time. Parking... Well parking is a bit crazy here since you might get old folks or just plain folks that can't understand how to coexist with one another when exchanging parking spots. I usually just drive in the back lot and quickly do my business before I'm told I can't park there. But I think they just don't want you to block their driveway really. As far as USPS goes, this place is great. It's janky as all hell, and the parking is super limited, I almost never get a spot and have to park illegally. But the staff are all angels, never had a bad experience there, they are knowledgable and nice and yada yada. Between all the racists and the angry reviews here I think that yelp should add a secondary rating system for the clientele. read more

I love this post office. If you're a regular and get a little friendly with the staff, you'll discover a lot of stress and anxiety about the post office melt away. I've been coming here for 6+ years and seen some turnover, people with negative attitudes come and go. On the whole, I've had 90% great and accommodating experiences. Yeah there's lines sometimes, understaffed, or maybe your packages might be late. That's pretty typical bureaucratic stuff for any post office. I've gotten nothing but smiles and positive helpful vibes from the team here consistently for at least the last 2 years. Shoutout Glassell park USPS team. read more

Wow, the staff was so nice. The two ladies with braids made my delivery experience one for the books. When I walked in, I was asked if I needed any help, I did, and was showed exactly what to do,( I am part of the Y Gen, physical mail is a foreign concept to me). Upon making my way to the register, the second braided lady politely took care of my small parcel, asked how my day was and made some jokes with me. Post-payment, she asked me to fill out a survey, but I have since lost my receipt, so I hope this review will suffice. Yelping a government operation is pretty silly, but the two employees I encountered yesterday were topnotch. The next time i need to send more than a snap or ig dm, I will be back! read more

There was a young lady at the end who was rude and unprofessional. I was next customer in line, asked for a pen because the ones onsite didn't work. She then proceeded to tell me to ask the customer next to me to borrow a pen. Then she asked for the next customer in line, I told her again "I just need a pen" to which she responded saying "yeah, I know" with attitude. That was just the first thing. After I figured out my pen situation I got in line again and when she finished with her customer instead of asking me to come to the window, this girl went ahead and grabbed her bag of Cheetos and was eating them fingers in mouth and all. COVID or not that's digusting. She didn't even sanitize after. She then answered a personal phone call on her ear phones... And once the other window called me up that's when she went ahead and called the next customer in line. Mind you it was a few minutes before closing and there was about 5 people in line so you'd think she'd have a sense of urgency. I'll stick to the echo park location from now on. They're fast and efficient and never attitude. read more

They've lost my packages, wouldn't let me get my package that has been sitting there all day because they haven't shorted it even though it was priority mail and was already 2 days late and stolen money from a birthday card by slitting the side of the envelope. I've lived in Eagle Rock for over 20 years and this Post Office used to be a safe haven for shipping items. But no more. Do not ship anything through this place unless you know exactly the type of shipping that you want. I made the mistake of asking a clerk for advice and the result was that a $2500;00 check was lost because of this clerk's ineptitude. My own error in judgement; both of my kids ripped me for trusting this Post Office for anything. And don't try to get hold of a supervisor to help. All they do is lie and pass the buck. One of the more horrible post offices around. Shabby interior and a tiny parking lot. Normally not that many people waiting, which is a plus. Probably because nobody can find a parking spot. Travelers beware! This location does not do passports despite the fact that it says online that it does. It gives passport hours ON THEIR OWN WEBSITE!! Wasted my time on a hot day with a 2 month old because I thought I could get a passport there. Not cool. read more

if i could also give zero stars i would. we sent a priority overnight package on a Tuesday from NorCal and when it finally arrived on Thursday (yes late) it was marked delivered but just thrown into a bin for the next day. When i called to ask why and remind that that it was a priority overnight envelope, Chung (he refused to give me his first name) said it was his job to get it there and it was already late but that it was marked delivered because that is how they do it. The school needs to come get their own mail no matter how it is sent. I have already written a long complaint to USPS that employees that have no pride i. their work shouldn't be in the job. When i asked him if it even dawned on him that it may be important since it was sent overnight, (at a higher expense than fed ex which is another story) and a service inquiry set when it was a day late, he basically said he didn't care. This is a horrible post office, but we have also learned our lesson that anything that has to go overnight goes Fed Ex or UPS but USPS does not care. read more

Came here to mail off my application form. There was literally no one in the post office on a weekday morning. And the staff was able to help me with no wait. The staff was fairly nice. Not sure where other negative comments were coming from. The room temperature was freezing cold though. I don't understand why they turn the AC on so low temperature. This place was not easy to "find" when you come from Eagle Rock. The GPS told me to make a turn on Verdugo but it turned out that was another ally which is a block away from the post office. Then I had to make a U-turn to go back to Eagle Rock Blvd. hm...pretty confusing. Parking itself was very easy. There are few 15-mins parking spot on the street and a parking lot next to the post office. Overall, my experience was okay toward good. I think they deserve a fair review. read more

Even though I live in Eagle Rock I come to this post office in Glassell Park because unlike the staff in Eagle Rock they actually treat people here with respect.. Rosa & Kimora are super dope and very nice always going out of there way to help me.. The post office in Eagle Rock has a bunch of complacent acting workers who always give you a hard time..
