The morons who deliver the express packages can not figure out that the deliveries to our building are on the side of the building so they always think our business is closed and never leave a package. They never leave a notice either or read any of the large signs saying deliveries and entrance on the side of the building. This is a repeated problem with the same stupid lady who drives right by every time. Every other delivery company has literate workers with brains that come to the side of the building and operate our intercom system. USPS is lame. read more

This is the first negative Yelp review I've ever written. Simply put, this place is the worst. I have, on several occasions encountered very rude staff here. They are unhelpful and unkind. One of them insisted I scratch an old sticker off of a package I was mailing. When I couldn't scratch the sticker off, she told me she would have to charge me to remove it for me. When I asked her, "Seriously?!" She snapped back, "OK. I'll do it for you without charging, but I'm going to TAKE MY TIME." Very rude, very unhelpful. And this is not an isolated incident, either. Normally I wouldn't bother writing a review of USPS, because we all know they're idiots, but the folks at this particular station take the cake. Trying to get my infant son a passport expedited through a courier agency was like pulling teeth with these people. They kept telling me that I couldn't do that, when the procedures manual for passport agents explicitly states that I am allowed to. Only then when I referenced the specific pages that says I can do that did they give in. And then they wouldn't accept my son's Hawaii birth certificate because it was the "short form", which is the ONLY type of birth certificate issued in Hawaii. I guess by that logic, no one born in Hawaii is allowed to get a passport? Finally after arguing, and after getting a very shoddy picture taken (which they are not well equipped to do), and then after more arguing, the application was sent off and lo and behold, my son's passport has arrived, with no glitches! A particularly rude lady working there commented to me, after we argued about if I was allowed to use a courier service, "well I guess you're a passport agent then." This place is awful. Is it possible to leave less than 1 star. I had a package mailed to my house with signature confirmation. I missed the initial delivery so my package was taken here. The initial attempt at delivery was on Monday. I work long hours so I couldn't go Tuesday to the post office. Wednesday I used vacation hours from work to pick up me package. I arrive at the post office and the lady tells me I have the wrong post office. I double check and tell her she's wrong. She then agrees that she's wrong. She proceed to search for my package and can't find it. She tells me to come back the next day. I inform her that I work late and actually took off of work early to get my package. I get it, mistakes happen so I kept my cool and reallt wasn't too bothered. She told me she would give me a number I could reach her at and that when she found it she would call me. The next day I called literally 10 times... 10!!! And not one of those times was my call answered. I still wasn't angry, a little curious, but not angry. So Friday comes and I haven't heard from her so again I have to take off time from work. This time I go in the morning. Again they can't find my package. Again a lady tells me she'll give me a call when she finds it and gives me the same number. I'm still not angry because I understand it's not this individuals fault. I tell her this happened last time, she assures me that she will look for it. Update: I've called that same number 5 times, nothing. I have received no phone call. I still don't have my package. This place is unprofessional, unapologetic, and unsympathetic. Completely unacceptable. read more

The customer service here could be A LOT better. I went in about a week ago to buy postage to mail a package and the rude lady at the counter sighed and snapped at me when I gave her my package because she didn't like the way I had addressed it (I've addressed many packages this way and have never had a problem). She proceeded to almost yell at me to rewrite it and gave me very confusing instructions. It bothered me to the point that I almost grabbed my package and left but decided to just deal with it since I was already there and had to wait in a very long line as they only had two of their windows open. So terrible. USPS probably sends their probationers here.. Our delivery is sporadic and often we get mail that belongs to our neighbors. Sometimes our mail is damp, sometimes we just don't get anything.... Today I received a package at 7:30 pm the carrier was confused about the delivery and said "nobody tells me anything". I then asked her if there was mail in my box and she said she "hadn't gotten to that yet". It is now 9:40pm, still no mail... The post office itself is a nightmare. I once supported keeping our post offices open. The UPS and Fed Ex guys will deliver to my apt. The USPS people are so freaking lazy. They will put a notice on my mailbox 2 days in a row saying I was not home to accept the package instead of looking walking up some stairs to my apt. I missed 2 days of work waiting for this package (value of 600.00). This is like the 4th time they do this too! I guess since its a federal agency the federal employees feel they get paid either way and have no one to compete with since each post office is assigned to its own area. Everyone here is really friendly. The wait is never too long. I'm here on a weekly basis to ship my eBay goods, I have yet to have any problems. Only issue would be that their parking lot is really small. I think it fits 5 cars, 1 being a handicap space. read more

Unfortunately this is the same post office that delivers my mail. I currently have no problem with my mail man except sometimes he doesn't leave the package notice when he doesn't deliver the package itself which will leave me wondering when will he get here. These last couple of months have been so difficult, and to the rescue - Novia and Marta! What a relief to know that when I'm having an issue, I can call, and the people that work at this branch - clerks, carriers, supervisors - all do the utmost to help. If you have a problem at this branch, please don't get mad at the people who work here. I've been doing this for 6 years, and they are stellar. There will always be problems that originate outside of this office, and they do all that they can - they've called other post offices for me, and gone so far out of their way to help that it really humbles me. They are incredible. I want people to remember the rule - do unto others. If you are unhappy with the service, call or write your elected representatives and tell them that it's ridiculous for the post office to have 75 years worth of retirement funds - retirement money for employees that haven't even been born yet! That's why there are fewer people working at USPS - the money is locked up in that retirement fund, and our elected officials are the ones that did it! A big fat money pie for the government to dip their greedy fingers into. Blame the ones that caused the trouble, not the people that can't do anything about it. If you care, write to ALL your elected officials and tell them how stupid that retirement fund is because that is the only way this can change. OK, I don't know what happened here, but I had to go to this post office this morning to pick up some mail. And some things have changed. I seriously used to dread going here but looks like new management and new employees. The manager was just hanging out in the lobby making sure everything was going smoothly and you can tell she is on it. And you can also tell her staff respects here. The service at this post office is absolutely the worst in every way. They only seem to bring employees that are the rudest and the most incompetent. The carriers totally mix up every ones mail. When I come from work to the complex I live at many days there will be mail all over on top of the boxes because it had been put in the wrong boxes. I have to return a few times during the evening to see if any more of my mail has appeared in the jumbled mess of mail. Trying to collect my mail has become a daily scavenger hunt. They have also lost a good number of my packages over the last few years. Most have tracking that shows it arrived there and some I even had notices in my mailbox, but when I go to pick them up they tell me its not here. INTERNAL THEIVES. Most have never been found and no matter how many claims I file at the 800 number or how many letters I've written to the post master general, no one is ever accountable. When you file a claim at the 800 number usually no one ever calls you back and if you try calling the number to this Glassell Park Branch the phone just rings and rings for hours of trying to call. If someone finally decides to answer they put you on hold and never come back to the phone. read more

I've posted negative reviews before but at a meeting of the Glassell Park Improvement Association mid-September they hosted various people concerned with the Post Office including the new manager, the customer service manager for the nela area, three people from the legal departments of the USPS (concerning thefts and such) and a lawyer from the LA DA's office to talk about what they do. The panel was asked questions (which helped) then it was open for questions from the group (a rather large one, in fact!). There has been a recent change in management (the people we liked to hate are GONE) and employees are being retrained to ensure they do it the right way. I had noticed better service before the meeting so it showed that what they had started was already having an effect. Both the local manager and the customer service manager started as carriers, so they know the real world, and can share their own knowledge and experience. I'm happy to say both the older carriers that deliver to my address are still working there. The presentations included advice on how to make your mail delivery safer. The head of the GPIA asked if post office representative could come back for another meeting (GPIA has monthly meetings) but that hasn't been confirmed. I used to go to the Lincoln Heights PO for my mailings (yes, out of the way but easier). but now 90065 is MY PO station. Javier Beltran is the CS Manager, and I didn't get the spelling for the local manager's last name but his first name is Sean. Think of the stars as in the negatives!!!! Cuz I wish I didn't have to give them ANY star!! I AM ENRAGED BY THE LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE !!!! I'm supposed to be able to trust my postal service!! And in no way shape or form can you trust this postal service, or the mailman of this area!!!I accidentally put my apartment number as #6 instead of #2 (I just recently moved) and didn't notice until I was alerted that my package had been delivered yet I never received it. When I noticed my mistake I rushed around my complex and asked everyone if they saw a package, I also noticed that there is NO #6 in this building or any building of this apartment complex. So that being somewhat a relief, I rushed to this post office to see if the mailman had returned the package or if it was at their location. These women are just as horrible as the mailman!! In no way shape or form did they try to help me. The woman pretended to go check my package and just told me 'it's been delivered'. WHERE WAS IT DELIEVERED IF THERE IS NO APARTMENT #6?!!!!!! She gives me the 'managers' number which I called every day for 5 days and it just keeps ringing and ringing til it can't ring no more and then it disconnects you. Not even a voicemail option!!!! What in the actual F#%£?!!!!!! My roommate tracks down the mailman and asks him if he remembers this package and of course he has no idea!! How do you not remember a package that had nowhere to go?!!! I ask my manager of this complex and she tells me, 'oh this mailman sucks, he'll take your package wherever he sees fit. I've gotten people's mail from across the street in the residential area' WHY ARE THESE PEOPLE STILL IN BUSINESS?!!!!' I then call today ( a week later) finally someone answers - Maria- one of the managers. When she finds out that I have an issue, she tells me 'ok hold on theres 2 people ahead of you' then some lady answers and says 'were you waiting for me?' And I ask 'are you the manager?' And she says 'oh ok' and then disconnects the mutha effin line!!!!!!!!!! I am FLABBERGASTED!!! And completely effing frustrated that these people are running MY mail!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I call the carrier of the package and they say my best bet is to file a police report and then go to my bank and show them and get my money back . But what I really want is my PACKAGE!!!! This post office is the worst I have ever encountered. I made a complaint to the Postmaster and after two days they said they also could not get anyone to pick up the phone. I put in an address change in December and today is the 27th of March and guess what? Yep my mail is still going to the incorrect address. I would think it would also be a big red clue that the mailbox has been broken into with the door hanging off and the lock broken. Why in the world would the mailperson deliver mail to that type of a box??? I have spoken to two supervisors (of course after calling for hours to get someone to answer the phone) who swore to me that it would be corrected and as of today's date it still HAS NOT BEEN CORRECTED. Same post office my driver's license never got to me or several other important pieces of mail. If this supervisor who is in charge of this post office cannot handle her job then replace her with someone who can. What ever happened to being accountable for your job? It is a shame that this type of agency is run in this manner. I have spoken to Leo who is the supervisor in Tujunga and every time I call this office someone answers the phone. Let Leo go over to the Glassel Park Post Office and show the customers over there how it feels to be treated the way customers should be treated. I have given the supervisor over there several opportunities to please correct the problem to which she has not done yet. My next step is to notify one of the television stations and have them do an undercover sting since it seems things appear to be corrected when demonstrating what an awful job they are doing. Someone out there please correct this problem. This post office is a laughing joke! I think the best idea is for someone in the Postmaster's office to challenge us the public if you do not believe us and check for yourself. See how long it takes you to get in touch with someone from that Post Office. The phone rings for about 20 times and then it hangs up and this happens over and over and over again. When I confronted the supervisor who finally answered after calling for about 30 minutes straight, she disagreed with me and said they answer the phone always which really made me realize that she lacked credibility because she straight up lied to me. Never will I use post office to send packages again. I sent a package and it was and still a nightmare dealing with USPS. I send a package to Germany guaranty delivery on Dec. 28, 2015, delivery date is out most sensitive!! The package went to FRANCE and get stuck there for days. I called USPS and I was told they will directed the package to Germany which they did. The package was in Germany for few days and then marked as delivered, would you guess to where? FRANCE. I am on the phone with USPS customer service Rep. After puting me on hold for very long time she told me the package was mingled by mistake with another package (not mine) which suppose to ship to France however my package is still in Germany and she has no idea when it will be delivered. Is any of this make any sense???? I hate to support UPS or FedEx with their high prices but from now on USPS is out of the question for me. read more

My mail carrier decided since it was already the end of the day she wouldn't bring up AND JUST LEAVE AN ATTEMPTED DELIVERY SLIP IN MY MAILBOX...As I watched her from my window i thought "ok maybe today isn't the day it was supposed to be delivered." Now you can all see my frustration but it gets better! This happened on Thursday 2 weeks ago, so I went back on sat to pick up my package... Lo and behold they couldn't find it, lets not forget the half hour wait time to be helped by the "pick up clerk" while the other two ladies just chit chatted their day away! Once i finally got assistance took another 30 minutes for the young kid to come to me and say "we can't find it!" I said "ok i'll come back Monday". I gave them an extra day and showed up Tuesday waited another 45 minutes and they said can't find it again. I have been going every other day for the past two weeks and nothing. Don't even bother calling them either because it will ring about 18 times then hang up on you. Oh and this is the cherry on top if you call over and over again they just see your number on the caller ID and basically pick up and hang up on you! Fan F#**#*#G-TASTIC! Went to the Post Office, as always no parking. Waited 30 minutes for someone to pull out of the parking lot. Two cars pulled in after me and parked along the wall that says fire lane. They took care of their business and left. I took the same risk after sitting there for so long, only to find out the Post Office was empty and the cars parked were employee cars. I took pictures of all the plates and plan to forward them to parking enforcement and LAPD. How sad that government employees exempt themselves from everything and get away with it. read more

I had a ticket that was en route to being delivered back to the sender but with one phone call to this office, they took care of everything. They went and stopped the process of delivering it back to the ticket company and even expressed mailed the ticket from CA all the way to Boston free of charge! The last two time I've been this past week, the two employees that have been there in the morning have been extremely rude and didn't help me. I went to this location last week for a passport renewal for my dad and the lady told me that they didn't have anyone there but her working there and that she was extremely busy that if i wanted to come back next Saturday they'll have someone for the passport renewal so I said okay. Came today in the morning early before they opened with my parents we were the 2 people in line. Had to get a chair for my dad because he is handicapped. The lady who opened the door was like who's here for passports and I said I am and she was like well we don't have anyone and I told her the lady that was here last week told me you guys were going to have someone here today and she was like well she isn't here I am and just walks away from me and slams the door. She was extremely rude when asking her anything and if they weren't going to have anyone to do passports then they should take their sign off and put a new one saying they no longer due passports!
