The agents working in the passport area of this postal office are somewhat similar to what you'd expect walking into a DMV. Not helpful, rude, and entirely disrespectful. If you would like to renew your passport I recommend you do so somewhere else. You would assume that coming into get your documents done you would be greeted with a little bit more help but not here, you're better off renewing your passport in San Francisco. You'll get it much sooner and with actual agents that would love to help you out. Dissatisfied. read more

Easily the worst USPS branch I have ever dealt with. I've been trying to reach them for over a month regarding delivery issues to our package locker at our apartment complex. They do not answer their phone, and it will disconnect after a few minutes of ringing. I finally reached Brian today at their phone number, and he was very short and rude on the phone. He flat out said that they will not deliver to a package locker and will continue to deliver to the wrong address when packages are shipped to my address through them. read more

I took 10 minutes to PREPARE my package for delivery and just needed a pair of scissors to finish off the tape on the corners. Postman lends me scissors and tells me to step aside so he can help the next customer. I literally finish the corners within 10 seconds and of course they are still talking football. This USPS is the WORST USPS I've ever been to. The people here are disgruntled and just pure RUDE, especially "Ms. Turner," the African American "supervisor"! I was here to pick up new house keys and they "required" a printed copy of my mortgage despite having digital copies. I asked why it needed to be printed and if the reason was it'd be kept on file, but she said no. Why do I have to print it if I'm just going to print what I'm already showing you? So I asked to speak to a manager to see this policy. In the meantime, another younger, nicer employee came to help. Showing her my license and proof of residency, she almost handed my keys until I hear, who I presume to be the supervisor, yelling from the back, "We already told her no!!!" Which to me tells me this is not a real policy and they were just trying to give me a hard time. I waited 45 mins to finally talk to a manager; they were blatantly ignoring me because of this. I kept ringing the bell, no one opened, I started knocking and eventually banging on that door. 45 mins for a manager to come talk to me?! And when the manager DOES come to the door (African American lady), she came at me like she wanted to fight. She threatened to call the police for banging on the door?! She would not listen to anything I said and just continued to speak OVER me saying other employees already told me they couldn't help me. I asked her where in the policy saying it needs to be printed, she just kept saying, "Uh huh uh huh we can't help you bye" and closed the door. Seriously these people are rude as hell, and this "supervisor" should not be supervising anyone or working in customer service. This is honestly the best post office in the area. There is a self-service machine that allows you to purchase stamps for letters and packages on your own, which I absolutely love. It's my favorite thing about this location. If you do have to wait in line, the staff is (surprisingly) friendly and eager to help. They offered me different styles of stamps and a binder to look through them. The line usually isn't too long either! I have been to this post office frequently since I moved here in 1997.I have seen some people come and some retire. I appreciate every single one of the employees I have met over the years. I do not demand things from them, nor talk down to them. I respect them for the work they do and their integrity, every singe one of them! I do not understand how the folks who are writing negative reviews had such a hard time with them. The criticisms sound bitter about something, are there ex-employees there in that group? Were they not abe to get a job here? Why so bitter and mean spirited? I like that they have multiple lines for what ever reason that you may have. There is a separate line for your passport, package pick up, and other mailing stuff. All the postal worked are pleasant, and work as fast as they can. The check out at the post office is always a long process, so there's nothing that they can do about that. They just look in the number without reading a street address . 80% of a time we got packaging from a different street address but the same house number . Can you guys be careful . This is the second time that they marked a package delivered and it wasn't. I ordered from Amazon and they marked it delivered to a parcel locker and it wasn't. Been on the phone with Amazon. Came here a few weeks ago to apply for passports. The not so friendly guy at the counter explained that we had to make an appointment to apply for passports (without looking at the 2 different apps we have..a new app for my daughter and a renewal for the hubby). Since I was there that morning I told him I was there earlier to file my renewal app and had no issues. When Mr. Not So Happy realized that we had a renewal he took it but didn't bother looking at it (out of courtesy..like what my friendly lady did earlier that same day) to make sure everything was ok to be mailed. 2 weeks later we received the application back because it wasn't signed (yes hubby's fault but a 2nd pair of eyes would've caught it). Fast forward 2 weeks later for our appointment for my daughter...the person helping us is slightly friendlier than "you know who". Smooth sailing so far until we heard a couple of workers in the back LOUDLY arguing about something. So unprofessional! I've gone here a few times and so far I think there's only 2 friendly worker that seems to be willing to help. The rest appears unhappy to be there. read more

Seriously? I never thought I would be writing a review about a Post Office experience but here goes. I LOVE THE MORGAN HILL POST OFFICE. I am always surprised by how nice everyone is but today was so great I decided to share. I went in before the service center opened and was going to do the self-serve machine to get a package out. I was greeted by Sonny who was sweeping the lobby at the time - and I explained I needed a bigger box. He got it, grabbed the tape, helped me box it up, showed me where the labels were, and off I went. He was very friendly and helpful, beyond the call of duty! read more

I dont know if anybody out there has had the horrendous experience that Ive had with Morgan Hill Post Office, they are incompetent. How I know because I've had serious problems for years. The P.O.Box I have there is very important to my business, thats how I get paid, but they think they can just willy nilly close it anytime they want and send my mail back, what a joke. The latest incident was yesterday I go to get my mail and the box is locked after I paid for a year a month before, I thought it was really rude of the one legged guy down there who acted like it was my fault and wouldn't get me my mail, this place is shoddy at best! read more

I went to the post office today with media mail and pre-purchased shipping labels. The staff during weekdays scanned the same type of shipping labels for me using a scanner successfully with a friendly and professional demeanor . She was seated at the same station (second nearest glass doors) as the service rep that made me wait today. The service rep I interacted with today experieced difficulty scanning the same type of shipping labels. She told me to wait for people behind me in line instead of scanning or typing codes with a computer keyboard (I did twice)... The time to input codes using a keyboard was considered to be less valued compared to transactions involving whatever people behind me in line had in their possession or needed to pick up. She also used a considerable duration of time talking with her supervisor about this issue instead of typing the codes. I said that I would wait if this is their policy but it didn't sound right to me... After waiting patiently twice (they weren't especially busy) the manager came out, stood behind service rep & looked though media mail items in the canvas cart. The supervisor said that I had a problem instead of saying that my printer has a problem. I said that there is no problem (the manager said it twice) and assured her that my printer will not be an issue in the future. In full disclosure, I have been mailing items using the same type of shipping labels and the same printer (new toner) frequently and scanning shipping labels seemed like an easy process. The supervisor was looking at the media mail in the canvas cart and said it was my fault the delivery would be delayed (twice) My experience during the week has been much more pleasant. I will go to another post office in the future. 7/18/2020. I can't remember the last time was treated like this in public. I forgive them but would like for their supervisor to see this and talk with them about it. My experiences during the weekday were pleasant but I'll be going to another post office now. read more

I worked for the government as a teacher for almost 40 years, so I try to do the one thing that public employees are allowed to accept: write to supervisors and bosses, and post reviews. (We are not allowed to accept gifts, gratuities, etc.) I have had an EXCELLENT experience every single time I go to this location. The employees have helped me even when I've been the one to screw up: e.g., I forgot to write the state and zip on an envelope and it was returned to sender. Duh... ... ...Mail that was sent to me postage due was misplaced, and so the person who helped me apologized profusely and said that when they DID find it, they would deliver it for free since I had come in already and waited in line, etc. I'm not trying to contradict others that have had a poor experience, just saying that I hope that by this date it has improved for you, too. And there is a huge difference between the employees that do mail delivery and those who work in the actual post office. (I have had issues with my carrier as well... ... ...) read more

We came all the way from San Jose to try our luck with our passports here. It was definitely worth the drive. There was no line at all for the passports. Jackie, was very nice and helpful and had my girlfriend and I in and out within 30 minutes. For the most part the employees are very friendly and helpful. I've been here many many times for several different business and personal reasons, and have only had a terrible experience with one employee. This location was all right. The parking can be a pain when it is busy , and the line inside backs up fairly quickly. They do have an automated machine in the lobby, although some people use it to print out single stamps, which is kind of annoying... I mean, why not just buy a book of forever stamps to have on hand? We bought so many for all of our wedding stuff in 2009 that we are still using them today (2013). The price of stamps may go up, but it doesn't effect us! Sorry.. that was a bit of a tangent... The one thing you should be careful of: the large drop bin right next to the automated postage machine clearly says "NOT FOR LETTERS" so don't forget and put your regular mail in there. I did once, and while everything got where it was going, it was pretty messed up - torn envelope with inner note illegible from tears. Oh well. My bad. read more

I typically do not like leaving poor reviews, but I had to make an exception for this. The customer service at this location is RUDE. I called to check on a package and the guy on the phone, which I'm guessing is the bald man and/or Bryan who everyone is complaining about, was rude and had an attitude with me. I simply called to check on the package and he responds with an attitude. He was short tempered for no reason at all. If you could avoid this guy, avoid him at all costs. He should look for another job outside of customer service, because looking at my experience and the other Yelper's reviews, it seems like he's miserable and ruining other people's days. read more

One star is too many. Absolutely worst post office I have experienced in my life. Packages are constantly marked delivered by Amazon, with notes they are left in my mailbox. I go to check my mail and they are not there. I have to open lost package claims with Amazon, and then the package may show up later on a different day. 50% of the time packages are marked delivered and I go to check and they aren't even delivered that day. I spoke with the Post Office Manager in the past, as I am disabled and do not drive, and do not have anyone to really get my packages. This office refused to make a hardship accommodation for disability (other post offices do) and deliver oversized packages to my door. The manager met with other supervisors and they universally agreed they would not make an allowance, because "then everyone would want us to." This was even when I explained the package was my wheelchair and mobility devices. Still refused to make an exception and deliver. I am disabled, how is that not discrimination? They are making the mail inaccessible to me, and I am having to walk down to the mail box to get mail that is never actually delivered. Yesterday, I have received a notice that a Missed Delivery Slip was left in my mailbox for a shipment from Target. I contacted my paid caregiver to come today and added stopping by the post office to get the parcel, however, I go to the mailbox today (a day later) and there is no missed delivery slip. So now I can't even have her get the package. To top it off, I can't even get in touch with the post office because they turn their phone lines off and NEVER answer. I have made several complaints to USPS and they left it up to the branch manager, who clearly based on other people having similar issues does not care. Horrible and discriminatory. read more

I am surprised by the complaints people have. I have used this Post Office since I moved her 20 years ago and it has always been just great. There is always plenty of parking, not necessarily next to the door . I have ALWAYS found the staff to be extravagantly helpful to me. There is usually a line, but it moves fairly fast.I also think USPS receives unfair criticism, in fact, they are totally self staining and take no taxpayer dollars, and they are the largest employers of veterans in the country. read more

The fastest turnaround for passport application. We applied and had our pictures taken on-site on Friday 10/21; we received our passports from DHS on Wednesday, 10/26! In addition, I've used their services (i.e. mailed packages) with them and they've all reached their respective destinations on a timely manner. There are a couple of friendly employees here, but definitely a couple not so much. I guess it's expected at the post office, but hard for me to give this place ratings any better than 2 stars considering the San Martin Post Office is so close by. Certainly recommended on all fronts to take the drive to San Martin. There are often lines here and I wonder where half of these people come from sometime. It's not bad I guess if you ever want to make yourself feel more normal, take a trip to this post office or the DMV for some people watching. One particular unpleasant experience occurred when the bald man in the middle did not want me to take picture of the package in the post office. I am at the post office regularly as I sell records online and with international orders, I use the picture as proof that I mailed off the package as there isn't tracking info. Of the many international packages I've shipped, I've never had a problem taking a photo, but this guy didn't want to let me today. He said he was told it was not allowed. I explained I did it all the time, but he was taking a hard line approach. I asked the reason, which he could not provide, besides, "I was told, it's not allowed." With all this news of how much the post office needs more business, this is not the kind of approach that is going to keep people from switching to FedEx, UPS or DHL. Well, I asked for the manager who didn't actually come up to the counter, but she yelled from the back that it was alright to take pictures. BAM, in your face disgruntled post office employee! Got my picture, paid and got out of there. On the plus side...I did get a passport from here a few years back and as long as you scheduled an appointment, it actually wasn't bad and the guy I dealt with was pleasant. read more

I never leave bad reviews... I Walk in there like a normal customer, I've shipped things out so many times before and this was the most difficult, extra, longest time it's ever taken. "Jack mackiney OIC", is the crazy Indian guy who has no patience. I was waiting in line, practically done filling out the address and he says no I have to wait.. I politely say that down in LA this has never happened to me before, then he says they don't package or seal it for you, but DOWN IN LA THEY DO. So idk if la just has better customer service or if all USPS abide by different rules?? Anyways, I get the mans name down and he just starts getting upset that I'm waiting so he tries to avoid helping me saying that other people will help me. Then he goes over to some other customer and starts gossiping as if I wasn't 5 feet away and as if I couldn't hear him. At this point I confront him about that, he says he wasn't but oh he CLEARLY was. Then finally comes out the fat, lazy, uncaring "manager". He says he heard "yelling", but that's was me being an upset customer with his garbage employees who provide terrible service. He came out and didn't mention what position he even held, he didn't bother to even TRY and fix anything, he walked away after he just told me to calm down. What a f-ing joke he was. Probably sitting in the back eating lunch not giving a flying f*ck. What ever happened to customer is always right. To the stupid Indian guy, learn some god damn patience and learn the the laws of America genius. I took his photo and he threatened to call police, after he threatened me to call police before for being an upset customer?????? Man should be fired, no respect for customers. This post office delivers mail to the wrong address all the time. My wife's medication says it was delivered to the mail box but it isn't there. I have gotten mail for other addresses more than a dozen times in my mail box and my neighbors have hand delivered my mail they have received in their mail box. One time my mail was on hold and I went down to pick it up. They handed me a pile of mail. I get in my car and grab my glasses to look at the mail and there was mail from 9 different addresses and none of it is mine. They have ONE main job, deliver mail. They cannot even do that. My wife not getting her medication is just another horrible example of it. I have talked with the manager. What good does that do? ZERO nothing. I wish USPS would shut down and UPS or FED EX take over. read more

It is not very often that you can say you really like a government office of any type, and I honestly like our post office. Wait times are reasonable, the staff has always gone out of their way to help and are extremely patient with everyone. It is one of the best things in this town, a fast, efficient, and really very nice postal service. Good people work here and they work hard. I am actually not sure how they do it, as the post office can be a highly taxing customer service position and I have always witnessed stellar customer service. Parking can have its moments, many people do not pay a lot of attention and they funnel in quickly so be careful. But you will get a smile when you are inside. read more

Pathetic worst service encountered. Drove all the way there from SJ to process a passport app. Inadvertently made an appt for the following wed. Office refused to process even though there was no line. They had a next appt at 2pm. Asked if that is a no show, could we use that appt slot instead. The response was NO. They abide by strict appt. policy even if someone is a no show. The govt. should make it Mandatory for all postal workers to take the Miller Heiman sales and customer training course to Better understand HOW to provide basic customer service!!!!! I have never had this experience before all my life - I keep receiving my neighbors' mails and my neighbor received my mails and packages since I moved to Morgan Hill. I am very concerned because this is the official US Poster Service. This kind of problems don't even occur in a third-world-country where I used to live, and never ever happened in the three other States and many cities in the U.S. I lived before. This is very concerning and dangerous because of the potential loss of sensitive information. I wonder if they can be liable to such negligence. read more
