Luna FaalAve (hope she didn't give me her name wrong) the supervisor at this USPS location is the worst customer service person I have ever dealt with. I paid $23.75 for over night delivery that was not delivered to me on time and all the proof I had and the proof in the system but she wouldn't refund even when Francisco (second in charge) and another colleague told her that I DO get a refund cause I didn't get my mail on time. As I already showed them what had happened. I did file a complaint against her and the USPS representative on the phone checked the system and said he agrees I should get a refund it shows in the system that my mail was delayed. She is extremely unprofessional, unfriendly and unreasonable. People like her make this world ugly & difficult for the rest of us. read more

The worst USPS I have ever had to deal with. They lost my package, and then sent me on a run-a-round as to the people I had to call. I went in Monday for a package they 'supposedly' dropped off on Friday, because they wouldn't pick up their phones on Saturday, and was told that they'd call me in the afternoon with information. I ended up having to call them for fear they'd innocently forget about me. The man who answered who told me to call back at Nine in the morning the next day, and ask the driver of the route to help me find my package. He was even less helpful. His whole story was 'I put the packages in the bin and drop them off. I can't help you.' I am livid, because now I have to contact the company to get them to resend. read more

I just signed up for Yelp specifically for this one review. This post office straight up stole a package that was sent to me back in December, a Christmas gift from my mom. With people here waiting for the package, it never arrived. I filed a report, they didn't investigate anything, chalked it up to a "street criminal" and told me to take a hike. Now yesterday, another expected package did not arrive, contrary to the tracking information that says it was delivered. I was here most of the day, and there was a UPS package a couple doors down - I seriously doubt the "street criminal" only targets USPS packages. Additionally, I witnessed a mailman one block away scanning multiple packages in the back of his van - then only pulling out one for delivery. I just got off the phone with them. They told me if I don't want them to keep my packages, I have to request a signature upon delivery. I did not see that option on Amazon, I think they have their own ideas on how their packages are to be shipped. These criminals should be put out of business at the very least. read more

Worst costumer service ever! Had to go there twice because my mail was not being forwarded corrected and I was missing packages. The first time I went there the manager said she was gonna check with my carrier and call me back...Never happened. Second time, with another manager, she gave the worst attitude ever, telling how they were responsible and how people where out there stealing people's mail. I told her that the tracking system stated that they were placed in my mailbox because they were small packages but they weren't in either of my addresses (previous and current) in other words they were left outside of my house. So I ask if I could file a claim, she smirks and says "sure, but it's not likely you will get anything back", then proceeds to make me fill out the same form I did last time. Complete waste of time. Over the past few months I've been required to retrieve my mail and parcels at the branch location as our building awaits NEW mailboxes 1450 PB Drive- I've lived in the area for 16 years and have had to go to the branch locations from time to time over the years. Ugh, it seems like all Post Offices are running on fumes these days and I know it's not their fault so I won't dock them too much for that. Every time I come to the PB location it seems like there is a line out the door and there are always at least two registers that are not even being used by an employee. Whats the point of having the registers if you are not going to use them? Everyone there is friendly though and they are always willing to help you out in anyway possible. I hate how all the homeless people hang out outside. Can they just hang out somewhere else? You would think they would at least call the police and have them told to leave. read more

Robin Palm from this post office is a true hero. He went through a lot of work to find my missing package that I needed for work that weekend after a mystery "animal interference" (even though there were not any animals at my house). He let my sister go retrieve the package after the office was closed as he was cleaning up. Since the next day was Veterans Day I wouldn't have been able to get it in time without him doing that. I would haven't been able to do the massive event I was helping with that weekend without the package and for that I am grateful and will always go back to this post office!!! read more

My postal carrier doesn't pick up properly stamped outbound letters left in the mailbox. I have never had this problem before. Living just 9 blocks south the carrier picked up outbound letters and postcards for the years. Now it is seemingly too much work, and it wasn't a one time thing. This has happened dozens of times. With poor customer service like this, where the extra effort is negligible, it's not a wonder people complain about the post office and that it's upside down financially. read more

Came on here to see what time the post office opened and was really surprised to see all these bad reviews. I'm here probably 2-3/wk and I've had the complete opposite experience every time I'm there - I think they are above friendly. I've actually told myself a handful of times (which reminds me I actually need to do this) that I was going to write a review to a supervisor at USPS just letting them know how good they are/how well they do their job. There's always someone scouting the line for people to help at the single self-help station to cut the line down, and usually there are 3 clerks present who are all super chop-chop with their speed. The clerks can't really help when the line gets backed up - it's like traffic/rush hour, there are just more popular times to hit the post office than others. I've always been served with a smile and felt they were doing their best, and often beyond. read more

The hours for this post office are reasonably good and the the kiosk is open past the time they close for about an hour. But unfortunately the people who work here are hit and miss. Some are very pleasant and efficient, and others not so much. They know who they are. Even when lines are long, they ask the same questions "Anything fragile? Any perfume?" and so forth, even after I've already told them the contents of the package. Time to spare? Go to the USPS. read more

Horrible place. #1... They NEVER answer the phone! Ever! So frustrating. #2. I had to be away from home for an extended period of time so I put my mail on hold and requested it be delivered once the hold period was up. I received automated notification that my mail would begin again and that the mailman would deliver all held mail. I work from home so I know I didn't miss the delivery... it just never came. My regular mail continued.. and we get a lot of stuff each day so I know there is no way that nothing had accumulated over a month's time. When I went to the post office to ask about why it hadn't delivered (since they DON'T answer the phone), they stated they had nothing on hold for me. So where did it all go? It was during my birthday month and Christmas so a lot of holiday notes and gift cards/money people sent me were never received (or stolen?). read more

The Post Office screwed up my payment for my PO box and I was very upset. They told me the wrong information, and couldn't answered any of my question. Finally I asked to speak to a supervisor. I had a package delivered to an old address and it got sent here for pick up. Since I didn't have a pick up slip, I was hoping they could find it by the tracking number. There was a long line, but the two people on the counter were working quickly and one of them seemed cheery. A third person came up to help those of us that were picking up packages. She was very nice and was able to find my package quickly. Thus far this is the best Post Office I've been to in San Diego! read more

I was expecting a letter only to find it had been returned to sender. The address was the right address. I have recived mail from this comp. for over 23 years with the same address. I so hope the mailman was not doing somthing mean by returning this pace of mail it could have done me great harm . Their postal employees failed to deliver a Priority Mail box that was only shipped from 50 miles away from Oceanside, CA, to San Diego on June 22. Instead, it first went to the San Diego post office, and the post office tracking shows it went "out for delivery" and the mailman for some reason did not deliver it, and they sent it to Bell Gardens in Los Angeles, over 150 miles away. When I dropped it off at the Oceanside PO, apparently the clerk who took it from me, didn't bother to scan it in, so I cannot track it. To find out what's going on, I've made two trips to the post office and wasted literally hours on the phone, and I still don't know where it is, but the post office tracking shows it was sent back from Bell Gardens back to San Diego on June 28, and the recipients still do not have it. I checked with the recipients, and they said they know their mailman, and the ship-to address was absolutely correct, so there was no reason to forward the box to Los Angeles. I was given two numbers to call, and neither one of them answers their phones. The Consumer Affairs office closes at three pm, and those lazy a**es stop answering the phone before 2:30. The other post office left me a voice mail with a number to call back, and they don't answer the phone either, it just rings and then goes to fax and has some stupid recording telling us what their phone number is (what? we just called their number to get the recording.) Its no wonder the post office is not profitable. Incompetent, no listening skills, no way to find out what's going on, Consumer number closes at 3pm, and the post offices don't answer their phone. Its more like 1913, than 2013, although the 1913 postal employees were probably better. read more

Phone is useless so do not waste time trying. I sent a package with a tracking number and followed it on line until the on line entry stopped. I tried to ask on line what happened to the package but you cannot email although the website talks about emailing complaints I could not figure out how! Then I tried stopping into the post office they could not tell me anymore than was on line, the last on line entry was six days old. Then I tried the 800#, you can not get a human being only recorded information. What good was the tracking number? read more

They lost my mother's day package to Washington and then claimed they would help track it and never bothered to call me back with any updates. I went in there 3-4 days a week checking to see if they had any leeway as to what happened to my package and no answers. Finally today I had a supervisor tell me that there was nothing they could do because it was such a long time ago (yet I had been coming in there non stop since may 25th). Angela one of the supervisors was rude to me and even rushed me off the phone claiming she hadn't gotten around to checking the computer for a tracking code. This place is a poster child for on-line banking and not using the mail. I travel extensively and always submit my authorization for holding the mail. I even put an extra post-it note with the exact day of the week to stop and start and they NEVER get it right. Sad situation and no wonder they are in deep trouble. read more

Some of the staff have to know that they are civil servants. The operative word is "servant" That means to assist when in need. The kiosk did not dispense my stamp for an envelope, and the main lobby was closed. So I proceeded to wait for a customer to exit so I could gain entry and try to explain that my stamp did not dispense and see if someone could help me. To be greeted by, "How did you get in here, we're closed!" gave me an indication what direction this conversation was going. I acknowledged that they were closed then I asked for help. If it were not for my pleading for some direction did another person assist me. I am hoping that they follow through with what they said they would do which was to place a stamp of the value that showed on my receipt. What they resolved in seconds, they extended to minutes that wasn't necessary. Toss the "I am the power" attitude. We're in this together. The redeeming factor was the woman that did help me was kind. read more

HORRIBLE customer service. There is always a line, which i don't mind. However, I mail items here weekly, and the last 3 times, a man named ABEL has helped me. He has treated me horribly every time. The first time, I thought maybe he was having a bad day so i let it slide. However, now I have worked with him 3 times. He could not be less helpful. He acts as though I am bothering him by having to mail something. He talks down to me every time and makes me feel like i am walking on eggshells. Simple things that other employees do every time, he makes the customer do and looks at you as though you are stupid, even to simple inquiries like "i need to ship this item". He always gives me a blank stare and looks at me as though it is completely ridiculous that i would need to ship a box. USPS needs to take a very good look at who they hire, as we have many choices to ship items, and I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

I am fighting the post office to get my parcel. Last week it was sent to me priority mail. After waiting a week I checked the tracking. It was sent back. They said it was undeliverable as addressed. It was sent back. No notice was left on my mailbox to pick it up at the post office.They are supposed to do this per the clerk I talked to later at the post office.I waited for the mailman the next day. He said it happened because a substitute mailman was on duty that day. IF HE DOES NOT KNOW THE PROCEDURE HE SHOULD NOT BE DELIVERING MAIL. The sender re-sent the parcel. After waiting another 4 days I went to the post office before they closed to see if my parcel was there. THEY SAID THEY SENT IT BACK AGAIN. Again, no notice was left on my mailbox.My house address is clearly marked on the building. Now I am forced to ask the sender to send it a third time. This is why some entities never use USPS.Tomorrow I will speak to the local postmaster about this. USPS is going broke. No wonder why.I may never get my t-shirt.
