I came here and ordered 2 bagels with butter, an egg and cheese on a roll, and a roll with butter and they charged me $14.03. When I told my mother, who is a frequent customer, she told me that they overcharged us. I called the store and they put me on the phone with the manager. I told the manager what we ordered and what time we went there, and he didn't believe me and kept asking me over and over again what I ordered, how much was the total, what register did you order at, are you sure you received $5.95 in change, did you ever come here before, what time I went there, if I paid cash or card, what did the worker look like, and if I'm sure I went there. He even asked "how can I know you guys were here?" It felt like a police interrogation. Why would I call about being overcharged if I never went there before? We told him we can go back there and show him who took our order and he said "oh no don't bother, some of the workers leave at 3". We told him we can go back tomorrow and he said "no, you don't have to". We asked him to check the registers and the cameras, and after my mom described seeing the busboy cleaning the tables, a pregnant woman, and a woman with young kids, he realized he cannot keep playing games. He finally checked the cameras and register and saw that we were there and ordered what we said. He then said it was my fault for not telling the worker that I brought water from home (they charged me for my water without asking if it's my water) and that it was my fault for not telling the worker I wanted 1 egg instead of the 2 eggs they charged me. He rudely said "go to any deli and the standard is 2 eggs". The manager was VERY nasty and not at all polite. He didn't apologize or offer anything to make the situation better. To make matters worse, I was not provided with any plates or cutlery with my order, making it impossible to eat. Customers beware! The owner doesn't deserve your patronage. Had a major run in with him due to extreme overcharging ($35. for two slices of baked salmon that contributed to an over $96 bill). Got no where on the phone and had to return to the store where after much discussion for him to understand the obvious " mistake", he reweighed the salon and returned $30. When my husband asked:"what did he say?" my response: "nothing" prompted him to call the owner which led to a profanity-laced "don't you f---- ever come into my store" again, I don't care if you're on a cane". If you're lucky enough to find it, this mom and pop shop makes all their bagels and cream cheese fresh and on location and offers a variety of breakfast and regular sandwiches. Quick service. They also have coffee and fresh juice. Doesn't seem like the cleanest place around but that doesn't keep me away. Only thing they don't have is pork sausage so if that's your bag, you may want to try elsewhere. Mostly to-go but there are some tables if you want to hang. I have been coming here for years... I will not doubt that they have good bagels but the owner is very rude and threatening. I will never ever return. I have a child with celiacs and I do know the risks. She is old enough to make decisions and so far their GF egg sandwich has been good and they have been very respectful of it.. Nice little bagel shop off of Utopia pkwy. Store for the most part looked clean. Staff was very efficient and pretty friendly. The bagels were okay i have had better but they were good. I had a plain with cream cheese and a sesame with egg and cheese. Eggs were seasoned a lil off they were salty. The cream cheese bagel was suppose to be toasted but wasnt. Overall i would go back to give them another shot. Went to get breakfast this morning before work and I ordered a sausage egg and cheese. The grill guy is on his phone non stop texting away. First of all the sanitary reason (his area was not clean). Second it took twice as long to make my sandwich and other customers who were waiting and probably on their way to work as well.
