Was searching for a cozy coffee shop around the Irvine area and found Utopia located within Tustin Marketplace. All in all, it's a cute and cozy cafe with a relaxing atmosphere that transports you to Europe and I honestly admire the unique aesthetic! The service was a bit slow for a Tuesday evening as I had waited perhaps 15-20 minutes or so for my latte to come out despite the lack of other customers around. The Utopia Latte itself was not super sweet (as requested) and had a great flowery aroma and taste to it. I even how they placed actual petals on top as garnish. I've yet to try the food next time but am sincerely looking forward to it! read more

Terrible coffee and service by the lady taking my order. She acted like I was dumb for trying to figure out where to tap my card. Didn't end up sitting down just came inside to grab some coffee and I got the Utopia latte which was $8 and absolutely terrible because there were a ton of little flowers on the top so all I was doing was eating seeds. I had to go home and strain it because of how bad all the seeds and flowers were. The flowers didn't add any flavor so I don't know what the point was because otherwise the coffee was so bland. I would never recommend their coffee to anyone. read more

Came by during lunch time with the coworkers for a quick debrief. The restaurant struck me like a cute place you would take your child for tea and crumpets with a twist of Turkey. Ended up setting on the chicken pesto sandwich, Turkish coffee, pistachio baklava, and a pecan passion fruit slice to go for the wife. The sandwich would be lackluster without the bomb sauce that it comes with. The sweets were fantastic. And if you wanted a kick in the keister to move for the second half of the day, this is the way. The servers Noe and Nacho were very great and helpful for us throughout our time there with them. I would highly recommend coming here again, let's go!! read more

I ordered a pistachio latte, lentil soup and pistachio eclair. All of it was delicious and the soup was so good I got a bowl to go for later. Decor is really cute, lots of open tables, staff is friendly, it's clean and well organized. The bathroom however definitely needs some love and attention. Caulking around the toilet is really gross and needs to be redone, the toilet paper falls off the toilet paper holder which is gross too, and the cabinet for the backstock items really needs to be replaced or repainted. The bathroom does not match the level of cleanliness in the rest of the restaurant. read more

So I've been here before. The food is great. The portions are generous. Just look at the attached pictures and there are so many options. The lower rating is strictly based on management and bad customer service. We came here for brunch with another family, and my family of 3 adults alone spent $120. Our food came out promptly considering how busy it was. And everyone loved their food. Here's were things went wrong: Our friend was getting their Cold Brew delivered (they serve their drinks on this elaborate tray) while doing so, the waitress, accidentally, spilled the coffee and it spilled all over my dress, on my back and onto my hair. THANK GOD it wasn't hot coffee!! The waitress apologized and that was it. I think sometime later someone came and gave us wipes and napkins for the floor. Management however was only made aware of the situation when we mentioned it. Even we did mention it to him, the gentlemen simply apologized, and didn't know how to respond? Mind you, we weren't asking for a hand out. We had already collectively of two families spent well over $200 and he didn't even offer us anything. Only until we explained the extent of the spillage did he hesitantly offer a slice of cake.. I'm always trying to support local businesses. Food prices and dining out these is so expensive (their OJ is $7!!!) and the manager looked at me like it was no big deal that one of his waitstaff spilled coffee on me, on my hair, on my dress on the floor and again, lucky for them it wasn't hot.. not a great representation of your business. Obviously it was an accident. But the waitress didn't tell management, we did. And he should have responded better, especially for how expensive it is to eat here!! read more

I have mixed feelings about Utopia Caffe. The location is at the District, which is great because there is plenty of parking along with an opportunity to venture and do more with family and friends. Every time I've passed by here, there is always a line and so I'm glad I got to have some time to experience Utopia Caffe. Inside the cafe there's a lot to see. The cafe is filled with merch - anywhere from Turkish Copper Coffee Pots to coffee beans to chocolate bars. And it's all so charming! We ordered the English breakfast, chicken pesto sandwich, Utopia latte, caramel latte and the mediterranean breakfast. The Utopia latte was delicious - I was able to capture all the flavors of the white chocolate sauce and the rosewater, I would definitely recommend. I wish I can say that their food was just as good. I was surprised that their food lacked flavor. We didn't enjoy any of the three meals that we ordered. And it was disappointing that their customer service wasn't as friendly or customer-oriented. I do appreciate that their theme is unique - it's a "go-to place for all things European" and their food and drinks are "inspired by sights of Europe that each city has to offer". With so many cafes to explore, I don't see myself visiting again. read more

I thought Utopia Caffe was okay. It definitely wasn't great like the reviews said. I ordered the chicken pesto sandwich and breakfast platter. The cucumber in my pesto sandwich threw me off. The combination of the two flavors were so bad. I definitely would not order this again in the future. I felt like they do have a variety of things on their menu but it all looked okay. It was pretty packed when I went on Saturday for brunch but we got seated pretty quickly. They have seats available inside and outside which was nice. Here are some foods I was able to try: 1. Tomato soup 10/10: I was feeling a bit under the weather and got the tomato soup. It was creamy and hit the spot along with the sourdough bread. 2. The breakfast sandwich 9/10 was a large portion with potato wedge fries. I think it could've used one or two less eggs but it was done right. 3. Chocolate baklava 8/10 was super chocolatey.
