I've been looking for a reliable and fair plumber to service my restaurant. I've tried a couple, but for whatever reason, they didn't pan out. I then luckily came across V-Max, and I believe I've found my go-to plumbing company. Ernesto came by and assessed my situation. He installed a tankless water heater and was able to work with my store's schedule. He gave me a fair price, and the work was done efficiently and professionally. Vmax redid my kitchen plumbing and did an excellent job. I called and passed on several plumbers because they'd only come for an estimate if I paid ( one charged up to $100). I called Vmax because of the high Yelp ratings and they responded quickly, and didn't charge for an assessment. We had plumbing 50 years old in the house and Vmax charged 1-$1710 for changing the outgoing pipes from the kitchen to the mainline. They completed the job in one day which was awesome. 2- $195 for Changing the sink plumbing 3-$195 for installing the trash compactor 4-$95 for installing the air gap We were missing a part for the faucet and we had to wait several days for its arrival, vmax was was flexible with scheduling and coming out on the weekend. Overall I recommend their services for the following reasons 1- quick to respond 2 good communication 3- free estimates 4 flexible schedule 5- taking care of the minor details that made me a satisfied customer I'll review i several months and post an update 2/23/2018 I've called v max for other jobs and they have been reliable, timely, and excellent in their workmanship. We had a main line problem at our house. The toilets and showers were backed up and the issue was urgent. I called a couple of other local plumbers but no one could get to us right away - in fact they couldn't get to me for days. Ernesto came to our house very promptly when one of our pipes was leaking. He was able to assess the problem and gave us some options to fix it. He replaced the pipe that was leaking but also pointed out some issues that the previous home owner rigged up himself. Our water heater decided to die. Contacted V-Max plumbing and Ernesto was on site surveying the work needing to be done within 2 hours. Next day, Jonny was here on time, with all materials ready to go. We live in a building that is attached to businesses, and there is no water shut off for individual units or stacks, so shutting off the water is always a problem. Fortunately the necessary work was completed in time to turn the water back on with time to spare. UN-fortunately the neighbors decided to do their own plumbing work while the water was shut off, without letting anyone know. The water came back on, and their unit flooded. Ernesto's crew immediately set to helping them clean up the mess, and complete their repairs in order to get the water to the entire building turned back on before the deadline I had set. It wasn't their fault, but they did what they needed to do in order to get the water back on. Would highly recommend for anyone's plumbing needs, and will come back to them in the future to hopefully track down where the water comes into our unit to install a shut off valve. read more

I can't recall the woman's name that set up the appt, but she was so helpful. She was able to get me in that same day. Ernesto came first and was able to give me a reasonable quote. They came in a day. Good response time. I did not use them. Free estimate, came, as the technician is looking around for the estimate, he look at the faucet, banged a few things, the water pressure looks better and he wants $95 for that. He quoted for stuff under the sink that looks corroded, fine. The technician said that is not an estimate but work was actually work was done. I said "I didn't approve of any work, so I'm not paying for something I didn't ask for" and he didn't argue and just left. so I'm not happy and would not recommend. read more

We had a leak on the water line to the fridge and learned (thanks, new old house) that it didn't have its own designated shut off valve. So while our entire house water was shut off, I called V-Max Plumbing. Ernesto came out within a couple hours and he and his team (Antonio and Eric) replaced some bad piping under the house, and installed the water shut off behind the fridge. Good experience. House built in the 50's with old pipes and over the years accumulated sludge and other nasty items. A clean out valve was not available and the only way to fix it was to dig up the pipes and build one in which Ernesto and his crew did in under 4 hours, in the rain, without any additional charges. Gabriel was very responsive. He called me right away to find out what the issue was (pilot light wouldn't stay on for water heater), and told me exactly what I needed to do, to save time and money. I had a GE appliance, and from my own research, thought the warranty was done, but he asked me a couple of questions, and assured me that my warranty should still be in place, and even gave me the number for whom to call (bc it wasn't GE, which I was learning the hard way). I saved money on the parts, and Gabriel had me text him as soon as my parts arrived. I did, and he arrived shortly thereafter, and was done swiftly. I believe it is best to do a before and after review to provide other yelpers a better review. BEFORE: I called V Max Plumbing around 9PM on a Monday and a lady assisted me and told me that I will be called back shortly. Not even 15 minutes, I received a phone call. Ernesto asked me a few questions about the problem and requested me to take a picture to provide me a rough estimate. I would also like to note that this is a family owned business. The fact that Ernesto took the time out of his night to explain to me about my problem sold me on V Max Plumbing. He was also very knowledgeable and patient (I ask a lot of questions) with me. I can't wait to get rid of that leaky pipe. There is a 3% charge on all credit card transactions. This is a very little fee compared to their fair pricing. Gabriel to the rescue The guys at V-max plumbing saved the day and my property. I needed plumbing repairs at my Duplex and they tackled all the issues and made it look easy. I had clogged/ bad pipes in the kitchen in one unit, and leaky sink plumbing and a toilet that constantly leaked under the house of the rear unit. I called the office and scheduled an immediate appointment, so that made it very convenient for me. Plus, they called 30 minutes before their arrival, so I wasn't exactly hanging around 'chomping at the bit' so to speak, waiting for service appointments. The company owner dispatched Gabriel and he is bar none the best. He continues to be the guy that can tackle any problem, he even helped me navigate the City regulations. He always thoroughly investigates the issue and based on his findings makes sound recommendations. What impresses me the most is that when he has everything taken apart for repair work, he always checks the status of the other pieces integral to the performance of the fixture and let's me know if the lifespan on the fixture is near at hand. In most cases he has replacement parts on the truck, so he can easily and inexpensively swap out old pieces for new in leu of selling me a overpriced "fix" . If replacing a ten dollar part on this service call prevents me from having to have a plumber out again and pay for a second service call, I'll take that advice any day. Gabriel always thoroughly tested my entire system, checking and double checking his work before he moves to another task. And, if there was something I didn't understand, he would walk me through it and writes a very detailed description on the invoice. I highly recommend V-max plumbing and hope they continue to send Gabriel when I call. Whether an emergency call or simple plumbing fix, Gabriel is amazing to work with - highly qualified and super thorough, without the exorbitant pricing you find with other plumbers. I first called V-Max because I had a clogged drain in the kitchen. I called and spoke to Daniela and she said she would call me right back to let me know when a technician was available. ..sure enough she called me back in less than 5 minutes to give me a time when Ernesto would be available. Ernesto shows up on time and proceeds to take a look at the drain. What a mess! It turns out the clog was bigger than I thought and all the drainage had to be replaced, plus a clean out had to be added because my house didn't have one. The job ended up taking 4 days! Ernesto was here every day with his crew and explained everything that had to be done and why, he made sure to be here when he said he would be, and at the end of the day he made sure they cleaned up after themselves. I would recommend V-Max in a heartbeat! I had a flooding issue that turned out to be more than just a toilet problem.
