Have dined in once, and have ordered take out more than a handful of timea. My favorite items to order are the following: Margherita V pizza (typical margherita pizza with extra cheese) Lemon pepper bone on wings. The wine is okay, the ceasar salad was alright. The gelato is a favorite go go item, I will add management definitely needs to invest in proper packaging for to go items. The last times I ordered gelato to-go they had no lids so it was a melted mess. I will also add that my last couple of to go orders my pizza was soggy, and burnt. Not tasty at all. This place is nice. The experience is different depending on where you enter and sit. The right side is more like an order and sit at any table, no TVs but nice roomy atmosphere. The left side is where you wait to be seated, TVs, and a bar. We ordered pizza, wings and a Caesar salad. The wings were the best part of the meal. The salad was nothing special with a ton of Parmesan cheese. The pizza was under done and very doughy. I'm rating a 3 stars because I want to give this place another chance, the staff was nice, they donate towards a cause and it was a clean establishment. We ordered the Mac-attack which was fairly good, their pesto chicken which was decent, and the Paolo prosciutto mushroom which was just not good. We did enjoy the outdoor area of games to play, like cornhole, connect 4, and Jenga. This was our first visit to this wonderful location. The restaurant has a more casual side on the right with wide open tables and a more enclosed side on the left with plenty of tables and booths. There is also outdoor seating in the back. The menu has salads, pizzas, wings, sandwiches, calzones, Stromboli, pizza, and dessert. We opted for the carnivore pizza. It was delicious. It is nice to have a V pizza right down the road from my home! I always love to get their pizza and the gelato. It is the perfect place for kids when it's nice out as they're able to run around and play outside. Most times my oldest doesn't sit and eat with us, but will play the whole time and bring his food home. You can either sit on the full service side or self service side. I will say that most times I sit on the full service side, service tends to be a little slow, but not horrible. Just something to be aware of if you may have impatient children with you. read more

Super cute!!! The decor was great. Really made you feel like you were in an airplane hanger. But then you get the vibe like you are sitting in a tiki bar. The decor was super fun. As someone who has a gluten allergy, it's frustrating when I order a gluten free pizza and am given the wrong crust (more than once). It's also frustrating when I order online (in the past), and they never "get the order," and when I call in and wait for the pizza to be ready only to show up and find out that the order hasn't been placed, it's even more frustrating. When they get it right, it's good. But when they mess up, boy, do they mess up. Used to be our go-to place for pizza, but this is not the first time we've been disappointed like this. read more

New location, new ambiance, same great food Tried V's new location in St. Augustine on Rt.1 This location has a great outdoor space with astroturf, games, and a water feature. Seems like a great place for kiddie parties as there was 1 going on outside when we arrived. We went to the side of the restaurant we water at the counter taking a number and sit down and wait to be served. We ordered a margarita, pizza and traditional V wings after a short wait or food arrived. Pizza and the wings were just the same as the other locations that we have been to. The wings had that tangy taste we like smothered in onions. The pizza was hot, fresh and delicious served just how V's makes it with a little charred and bubbled crust. Their crust is sooo good. We ordered pizzas to go, drank some wine while waiting - a very nice Valpolicello, and learned that it's pizza, pasta wings salads desserts. One side with service, one side self serve wher you can eat and watch the wood burning ovens. We always thought maybe the building out back was a distillery because of the name. Nope. At home, we found the pizza center to be doughy and undercooked. Flavors were meh. Two days later, with another set of company, we ate pizza at Brooklyn pizza or Pizza Time, voted #2 in the country. Excellent! Every time we eat here. My nephew went crazy and kept saying this is NY pizza - this is how it's done. Now I know our go-to, even thought it's in Ancient City. The inside is absolutely beautiful...love the murals especially! We've been to a few other V Pizza places in the area and this one is huge. Very nice outdoor area as well with games and seating. Moreover, there are two different sides inside. There is one side where you order yourself at the counter where the pizza ovens are, then on the other side (Flask & Cannon) you can receive table service and there is a bar. As luck would have it, I have now been here a few times all within a short timeframe. Although they've been open a few months, they still have some hurdles to jump for sure. The servers are friendly, but they can disappear. Perhaps it's because they get tired of answering questions about where your food is and they forget you still need something to drink. That said, it takes a long time to get your food. It is ok when you may be sharing a pizza, hopefully, you can just have a few drinks and chill out while you wait. But if you go and everyone in your group orders something different...things go sideways. It can literally be an hour from the time the first person is served to when the last person is served. I get that the food comes from two different sides/kitchens, but then some type of coordination needs to happen. People go out to dinner together, to have dinner together...not watch a person eat one at a time while parched waiting on water, and getting aggravated. The time it takes to get a pizza is crazy to me and I don't recall this bizarre wait at other locations. When I've gone to this location, they've been busy, but not crowded. I can't even imagine going when it's crowded. On the most recent visit, we were given dessert due to the experience. Thank you for this, but the process really needs attention. I have mixed reviews about the food itself. When I went with my family, we just ordered one of their specialty pizzas and a calzone and both were delicious just like other locations...it just took forever to get them and they came out 20 minutes apart. The calzone was drier than expected, but I suppose I should have ordered extra sauce. If you order a pizza and start adding toppings, it gets expensive in a hurry, so please keep this in mind. I didn't care for their version of bruschetta. The beef sandwich is bland, small, and doesn't come with a side. The pasta tasted like it was old or sat under a warmer for too long. I didn't get any flavor from the pasta, and surprisingly the sauce was nothing special. Not to mention my plate looked like it was scraped off of another plate and the portion is small and doesn't come with bread. I like V Pizza, but this location has some "bugs" to work out. I sincerely hope the staff finds their groove. Nevertheless, I have tried enough things on the menu here at this location now to honestly say I will stick to pizza if I go again in the future...and ask for a chilled bottle of water up front so I'm not parched during my wait. I believe a 2 1/2 star rating is what is warranted, so I'm rounding it up. After all, it definitely could be better, but it was ok. Other notes: Prices are high. Finding good pizza in St Augustine can be a bit of a challenge, but V Pizza did an admirable job. We had a Quattro Formaggi pie, a Pepperoni pie, and a Pepperoni Rustica pie. All the pies were excellent. The dough is absolutely delicious, perfectly crispy with a doughy center. The cheeses, sauce, and toppings were all high quality and melded into a delicious meal. We also ordered the Calabrian wings which were very good. I prefer crispy wings and I get why some people may not enjoy the charred exterior, but overall they were delicious with excellent flavor. The interior is very nice. There is a casual section for counter service, but we sat in the dining section with dim lighting and comfy booths. Our server was very nice. We dined at V pizza and we're very disappointed. The evening started with a lot of chaos behind the register with discussions of who was going to be taking our order. After the confusion subsided we were then informed that their pizzas are "known to be soupy" in the middle. This should've been the red flag we needed to just leave but we wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and try it. The "soupy" description wasn't a lie, it was beyond soupy, our dough was raw in the middle and burnt on the outside. The flavors of pizza were almost non existent except for the occasional blue cheese chunk in the Quattro formaggi pizza. The salad tasted like dirt and had the gritty texture too as if the lettuce wasn't washed prior to serving. The kids meal pasta was so over cooked it was like eating mush. The only edible item we could handle that evening was the wings. They were mostly cooked, a few had some pink mushy centers aka underdone. We also attempted to sit on the patio to enjoy the evenings nice weather only to be quite rudely and unprofessionally told to get off since the flooring was recently sealed. Mind you no one mentioned this to us before walking out there or as we walked by the 7 different employees standing around. We also noticed there was a lot of people standing around, throwing pizza dough at each other, arguments with management and staff. Just overall an unprofessional look for a newly opened restaurant. We went with a small group of friends around 8PM on a Friday night. There were 5 of us total and we sat in the dining room side with full service up against the wall. The bar looks nice. There are several dividers between tables that make the dining room feel small. My guess is this lets them fit a few more tables a little closer together. There is a decent selection on the menu. They are pretty proud of their ingredients being sourced from Italy. That could be why there is a different taste. It is some of the best pizza dough I've ever had. We got a bruschetta without mozzarella to start. It was nothing special. We'll probably try it with the mozz next time. We got 3 pies between the 5 of us. We got the Ala Di Pollo without Gorgonzola (mozzarella, marinated chicken, caramelized red onion), Carnivore (tomato sauce, mozzarella, pancetta, soppresetta, Italian sausage, red onions, fresh garlic and fresh basil)v and Flyin' Hawaiian (mozz, gouda, pancetta, pineapple, nutmeg, brown sugar, red onion and fresh basil). I tried a slice of each pie. I thought they were all good. The Pollo would have been better with gorgonzola but that's what the ladies wanted. The biggest downside I see is that they only offer pizzas in one size. My guess is this has something to do with the size of the oven or else they'd be up for selling bigger pies. I stopped by this new location after volunteering in St. Augustine. Being a huge fan of rum and tiki culture I had to see this new spot. The bones piggy back off of the Jax Beach Flask and Cannon but leave much more to the imagination. The building mirrors the sister location Julep in Palm Valley. The wall paper had lots of flamingos. I felt like I was in Miami. The ceiling had greenery hanging. The staff were sporting the best tiki shirts. This is a place Jimmy Buffet would love!!! The Pies and wings were amazing. We have waited a very long time to give V Pizza a try. We watched with bated drools as the construction progressed over the year. We read (and waited) for the "new restaurant kinks" to be smoothed into a fine tuned machine. Without further ado, we give V Pizza St Augustine 5 Stars for food, service, and ambiance!! We entered through the right door on the front of the porch. It is actually the "quick service" entry. Here, one would know and place their order with a cashier. Open seating on this side (much like a European dining hall), you are given a number, and the food is brought to you. There is a little stand with a flyer of information about V Pizza by this door. A short walk through the connecting hall brought us over to the "full service" dining area. The hostess was very friendly, explaining all the intricacies of ordering the "perfect for us" options available. This dining area has a more intimate level of lighting, cozy tables for two, as well as seating for larger groups. We follow V Pizza on social media, so we knew they offer "pizza of the week" specials. This week was Prosciutto de Parma, not being in the mood for ham & cheese, we opted for the Carnivora. For an appetizer we ordered the bruschetta. Both were filling enough as a meal in and of themselves... meaning we had plenty of leftovers for second supper! There are a few other locally owned pizza joints closer to our home, but given we do not eat pizza weekly (maybe once a month or every other month) we consider V Pizza St Augustine worth the drive. It is thin crust pizza. It is a 13" pie. They do have cauliflower crust option. The more toppings, the more likely you'll be eating your pizza with a fork and knife (it is thin crust pizza.) This is particularly true with veggies because of their moisture content. If you like a really loaded pie, then ask for it to be "made with love" and they will bake it a second time to try and firm up the crust. But, you'll probably still need to eat it with a fork and knife because of the weight. Oh, and the flyer by the door mentioned V Pizza sauce does not include salt in their recipe. If you feel the need for salt, there are salt grinders (and parmesan, red pepper, etc shakers) on the tables. read more

Placed an Uber Eats order for 10 well done wings and an Italian beef sandwich. Paid for extra gravy and asked for ranch. We received no ranch and no extra gravy. The take out Italian Beef sandwich is not supposed to be dipped in gravy when take out and it was dipped and sloppy. The manager AJ blamed the Uber Eats guy for not getting the bag with ranch and gravy. The wings were burnt and inedible see the photo. The food is great, we called ahead, they said no wait for flask and cannon, and would not take our name, got here 20 minutes later and there was a 45 minute wait. So went to the pizza side, 4 tables occupied, both ladies at the registers were taking phone orders. Ours and another family had to wait to order. After 35 minutes waiting at the table we are told there are multiple carry out orders ahead of us. I would assume that on premise patrons would be a priority.
