Randomly stepped in to see what V3 was all about and I was not disappointed! The staff was kind, the pizza was delicious, and the price was what made the experience top tier! They have a wide variety of toppings and sauces which made my visit very enjoyable. V3 is great mix combo of a build your own Subway style and Little Caesar's prices. This is definitely a must stop if you're looking for a light meal on a budget!

V3 Flatbread Pizza Is one of my favorite pizza places in pittsburgh. Each pie is one price with as many toppings you want. Each pie is aprox for one person and is $8. The staff are super friendly and very helpful. I have been to there other location several times, This was the first time at this location. I had a pie with extra sauce, extra cheese and black olives and pepperoni. it was cooked perfectly and tasted great. Every pie is made by hand and they use a small version of a dominos oven. The pizza tastes great, The staff is fast and friendly and the place is clean and has plenty of seating. I will definitely be going here over and over again. If you are in the area you definitely want to stop and get a pie you won't regret it.

I attended V3 for a Yelp event, and was given the opportunity to have one of their flatbread pizza's. I was impressed by the amount of toppings that V3 had available. On top of being able to choose your crust (multi-grain, and gluten free included) there were no shortage of pizza toppings (fresh ones at that) and for the price (around $8 per flatbread) you can't beat it. In addition, the flatbread is baked super quickly (a little over two minutes) that would make V3 a very desirable lunch spot if you were working downtown! BYOB as well

Great spot for a lunchtime break downtown! Fun ingredient choices to make your own custom flatbread pizza. I like that they offered a multigrain crust option, plenty of flavorful cheeses and veggie toppings. The flatbread is a really generous size but isn't too heavy for lunch. There was a bit of a long line when I visited but it moved quickly.

My pick up order was cold and the sauce and cheese had slid off on a few edges which was unfortunate. I also ordered my pizza with mushroom and red onion but there wasn't a whole lot of toppings. I was underwhelmed. I was really looking forward to trying this place because I have heard good things but I didn't have a great experience. Might try again but probably won't online order... you can order and pick your toppings almost like a chipotle or subway type ordering scheme so I'll try that next time.

My dining experience here has been so so. The four stars are for the great customer service and the vegan and gluten free options. The sauce is under seasoned and when you're eating a cheese less pizza you need all the flavor you can get it. I do enjoy drizzling the flavored oil and balsamic reduction on my vegan pizza. For a vegan pizza bite in Downtown this place ain't bad.

I ate here once. This is a good build your own pizza place in downtown Pittsburgh. There are two floors. Good taste, good price and fresh ingredients.

A healthy alternative to pizza... A variety of choices for toppings that include V3's house combinations. The atmosphere is spacious and amazing...lots of seating for groups, that include ample space for working. It is also good for dining alone or a date night. It was my first visit; but certainly will not be my last....as there are so many possibilities to try. Today, I ordered the Buttermilk Chicken it was a combination of deliciousness! I enjoyed and savored every bite. You will not regret the dining experience at this place, try it for yourself!

V3 is like a few other pizza shops that are around that you order and have it built and cooked as you are in line - City Oven, Stone and many in other cities. Owned by Vocelli's. You can order from 3 crusts and 5 sauces, lots of toppings and after it is cooked they put an oil at the end if you would like. You can pick what you want and there are about 8 pizzas on the menu. I ordered the Sunny Side Sausage and had sun fried tomato added. All for $8. Not bad. The pizza was good but the dough was a little dry and not any flavor. There are two salads on the menu. The place is small with a few tables but the line was beside the few tables, more of a take out place. I would think that this will be popular for lunch in a busy downtown.

Tried out this place after tasting their pizza at Yelps Ghostly Event. The concept of V3 is build your own pizza or you can also choose from some of their premade options. They have different types of dough available, various types of pizza sauces, a handful of cheeses, and more than a dozen toppings. After you pick everything, the pizza goes in an oven for a minute or so and then you can add various types of finishes. I created my own pizza with traditional dough and sauce, and then added salami, pepperoni and sausage with mushrooms, onions and olives. To top it off I added balsamic glaze and sun-dried tomatoes. The pizza was very good, and the perfect portion for one person. Would definitely come here again for a bite to eat!

I ordered a custom pizza at V3 for a quick dinner. They had a myriad of options that you could chose from for the custom pizzas or you could order from their "suggested creations". Either way, they make the pizza right in front of you and everything is fresh (including the dough). It was a nice thin, crispy, crust with plenty of slices to eat at one time or split into two meals. There are two levels of seating with plenty of options for small or larger parties. It is tucked away off the main strip of Liberty Ave but I would recommend trying them out!

Custom pizza with multigrain crust, pesto, spinach, roasted garlic, mozzarella and chicken. Tasty!

There's something about being the master of my own food destiny that is appealing to me. Build-your-own burrito places, sandwich shops, froyo shops....I love them all. And now there is a build-your-own pizza place! V3 operates exactly like Chipotle or Subway....you choose your own crust, sauce, and toppings, they run it through the oven, and voila....customized pizza! After it's cooked, you can even doctor it up with "finishers" (cheeses, oils, etc.) to add the final piece de resistance to your creation. The pizza crusts they use are flatbread crusts, so it's very thin and crispy. It's quite large (8 slices), but because it's so thin, one person with a normal appetite should be able to finish a pizza themselves. The pizzas are a flat $8 price, regardless of how many toppings you choose. They also have pre-made selections that you can order if you don't feel like making your own. During my visit, I opted to make my own with a multigrain crust, pesto sauce, mozzarella cheese, spinach, roasted garlic, and chicken. For the price, I thought the pizza was quite tasty, although they were fairly stingy with the toppings. Unlike Chipotle, where they will heap the meat and beans onto your burrito with reckless abandon, here they carefully measure every topping so you get a set amount. I'm sure they do this as a cost-savings measure....and it probably doesn't make a difference in the pizza taste if you get a ton of toppings, but if you only get a few like I did, it can make the pizza seem a little sparse and sad. I guess next time I'll go toppings wild! I came here during dinner time, and the process moved quickly because there were only a few other people there. I wonder how fast the line moves during lunchtime rushes though? Regardless, it's a cool concept and I'm sure I'll be back to Frankenstein up another pizza soon!

    Pesto with prosciutto pizza
    Carrie L.

The pizza here is served fresh, thin-crested, and stuffed with whatever you like. If you don't like choosing, they also have a list of popular combos for you. I love that the toppings, sauces, and oil aren't your traditional cherry-pickings. I got an order of pesto pizza with olive, prosciutto, garlic, spinach, bell pepper, and mozzarella cheese. The staff creates the most beautiful spread and in the oven the pizza goes! I don't get excited about pizza easily, but V3 gave me plenty of reason to return. On my next pizza: definitely adding an egg!

Apteka. This was perfect for my wife, who is vegan. An all vegan Eastern-European eatery. Great weather added to the ambience. Plenty of plants in the background. We had a foursome with my friend and his husband. Apteka offers a service where you place your orders at the bar, and they come bring the food to you when it's ready. We started off with Hungarian fried bread (Langos) and then followed it with Salatka ziemniaczana. Potato salad with greens. Entree we had the pierogis. I mean, we Had to, back in Pittsburgh. Only thing missing was the cookie table but the dessert was great as well. Everything was comforting and filling. Plenty for us two. They had a special collab beer with 2 Frays, a brewery that is really solid. Was just starting off when I was leaving Pittsburgh 5 years ago and now has been pretty popular in Bloomfield. Overall, Apteka offers fine dining, inspired dishes with a vegan twist, and is a must. Reservations are a must as dining is limited to the weekend.

This resulted in a chaotic atmosphere at the two places where you could order food and constantly having to get up from your table every time you needed something. The staff essentially became food runners and they were not very pleasant. We were told that we could not have an appetizer followed by our main course as "food comes out as it's ready." With the bar being backed up, this meant we received some apparently pre-made food even before our drinks arrived. Again, it felt chaotic. The final proverbial "straw" was that they sat strangers right next to us at the same table which was extremely awkward and uncomfortable. All in all, it was hands-down one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. :(

Most bowls are rice, greens, and/or beans based with various vegetables for toppings. Heartier than a salad but healthier than Chipotle. I've gotten lunch there a few times and have always been satisfied. My favorite bowl is El Jefe, which comes with rice, kale, black beans, corn, red onion, avocado, and a protein topping (I like the miso tofu but you can also get chicken). The bowl also comes with cilantro/lime sauce, which I do not get because it's very salty. That's my one complaint about Roots - despite their healthy ingredients, their bowls can get quite saucy and salty if you go with the default options. It was less full than the bowls I usually get along with being very heavy on the rice and not too much chicken or even the kale. Aside from that it was still yummy but I think I'll be going back to my regular order next time.
