Who woulda thunk that in this little strip mall is an amazing Persian restaurant! Service was more like a five star restaurant with real silverware, fancy serving dishes and beautiful glasses. Sam, one of the owners was quite warm and suggested wonderful items. My friend and I opted for the combo to go as we were heading to the Hollywood Bowl. We sat down to the eggplant appetizer and a bowl of the most delicious garbanzo yogurt soup. They brought our salad but we let our server know that we asked for that to go with our main course. He said he would leave it and put another fresh one in our to go order. We thoroughly enjoyed the app and soup. Later, we shared the combo of a ground beef kabob and a ground chicken kabob. It also came with a roasted tomato, and rice or salad. We asked for half and half but I'm pretty sure it was full servings of both. Really fresh salad with a nice simple dressing. Deliciously seasoned basmati rice. The kabobs were also perfectly seasoned and cooked just right keeping them moist and juicy. I can't wait to go back and try more. read more

When you arrive at a restaurant and are greeted with "Hello, thank you for coming. We're so glad you came.", you immediately feel welcome. The menu is amazing and we had a hard time choosing what to eat. Sam gave us some good explanations of the dishes and we finally opted for the lamb shank with rice - Loobia Polo - and the speciality Kabab Torsh, along with a refreshing glass of homemade lemonade. The lamb shank was meaty and succulent and the accompanying rice quite a discovery for both of us. The sauce was so tasty. The flavour of my Kabab Torsh was excellent with just the right dose of sour. The salad that came with it was crunchy with a delicious dressing. We will definitely be back to try out more of the dishes on the menu and are so glad to have found the best Persian food we have eaten for a long time, if not ever. read more

FIRST TIME! My dad and I ordered the Koobideh Beef (medium rare) and Chicken Skewers and the Filet Mignon Barg Kebob (well done). We shared the plates ofc. I wasn't that hungry to begin with but when I took that first bite, it was a done deal. They were ABSOLUTELY amazing. All the meat were tender and soft and SUPER flavorful. I honestly couldn't believe it. We kept asking each other "why tf is this so good?" It wasn't salty nor overseasoned - just perfect. The salad was very fresh and don't get me started on the grilled tomatoes. We finished our plates clean even though the portion size was huge. We saw other customers togo their leftovers but we finished everything! The ambiance was peaceful with calm lighting and neutral tones for its interior. Music was pleasing to the ears as they played jazz, latin, rnb remixes. Sam (the owner) is absolutely delightful, making sure everyone was enjoying their time and food. Sam opened his restaurant 5 months ago and has been working vigorously to advertise his restaurant. Please go and show him some love! You will not regret it. The food here is really delicious. My wife and I love to try different cuisines and we came across this gem tucked away in a strip mall on Sunset. We both got the filet barg skewers which were cooked to perfection. The marinade was soooo delicious. The salads were also very fresh and yummy. Delicious and authentic Persian food! Loved the crispy Tahdig with Ghormeh Sabzi and can't wait to try it with the fesenjon. Haven't had the taste of authentic Persian food in a long, long time, as restaurants are usually limited to only kebabs... and btw, I'm not Persian, but am a fan thanks to the Persian friends I made at USC and the delicious home-cooked meals their mothers would make! Lovely, subtly lit dining room and very welcoming good service at this family-run restaurant. We didn't find the plastic chairs very comfortable but otherwise lovely. The pita bread isn't made in-house but it's good stuff they get delivered fresh every morning. I for one appreciate the very authentic flavors in these family recipes along with good preparation, with the exception of a single salmon pinbone (not enough to reduce the 5-star rating). The salmon portion seemed a bit small for the price although perfectly cooked. It's kind of rare to dine out in LA these days (especially Hollywood!) and just have a nice meal like this, unfortunately. Next time I'll focus more on typical Persian dishes; as usual the more middle-eastern dishes (falafel, hummus) were a little less refined than the (Lebanese/Israeli/Jordanian etc.) real stuff. read more

This is home cooking. The garden salad was so fresh and flavorful 10 out of 10. Lentil soup was so rich and flavorful I drained every drop. Chicken Kabob was especially juicy and flavorful, not dry. Hummus was delish served with warm Pita. So busy stuffing my face I forgot to take pictures. Service was very attentive. This restaurant has comfortable upholstered chairs and decent sized tables. Food is good but not as good as Raffi's in Glendale. Portions are smaller too than Raffi. My co worker got the lamb chops and she said wasn't bad but not as good as Raffi's. She got a different rice and was charged more. They also don't give you pita or lavash bread or the radish or mint. Chicken kabob was good, only issue we had was that food is served in the white foam container so we left the bottom rice and transferred the food to a plate immediately. This made the rice portion even smaller so wish they would aluminum foil or a different container. That foam container starts changing shape and leaks into your food! Chicken thigh portion was small co worker said compared to other places. Filet mignon was good my other co worker said and food was fresh. He also didn't eat the bottom rice due to the foam container. Both were not full due to losing the rice in the bottom I believe. We definitely would go back but hope they change their to go containers to the container the lamb chops were in! It's definitely more pricey than other places and we noticed they raised their prices already after just opening few months ago. read more

Our Persian friend had said you judge a Persian restaurant by its koobideh, so I got the beef koobideh kabob - amazing. Then our friends' toddler wasn't finishing his chicken koobideh so I snagged that too, and it was awesome, with flavors I don't think IVe had before.
