Despite of the negative reviews, I took a risk and took my car in for detailing and a quick wash. An easy clean that turned into a complete nightmare! My interior wasn't dirty to begin with, nothing that a few wipe downs and vacuuming couldn't fix. My main concern was the trunk lining of my car with the debris and grime that have accumulated over time. Tahalia was pleasant and told me not worry about anything. I dropped my car off at 5:45 p.m. and left for dinner. I came back around 8 p.m. to check on my car and the exterior looked good until I noticed a hard droplet of some type of cleaning product on the hood area (it wasn't there before). It was tough to get it off that I thought it was going to chip off the paint! I was told that it was going to cost extra to buff it out but why? It wasn't my fault to start begin with. I proceeded to the trunk area and it was still dirty! I gave them another chance to get it right and walked around the mall to kill time. I came back around 8:40 p.m. anxiously checked my trunk again and it looked better from before but the backside of my car had water and debris from cleaning the linings. At this point I'm upset and frustrated. A guy had to scrub it with a hard brush to get the dirt off and pat it down dry. The linings now looked stained and spotty and honestly it was too dark to see if it completely came off. I checked the inside and the right side of backseat had dust. The backside window had specs of dirt from the inside. Again, two of their employees had to fix these issues. It was close to 9 p.m. and I understand that everyone just wanted to go home but this all could've been avoided if the job was done efficiently. They had two other cars along with mine that had issues as well. I was told that the gentleman that handled my car (I believe his name was Keith) was let go early to go home and didn't finish the job completely without letting anyone know. Why didn't they do a routine check to make sure the job was DONE? Miscommunication or not it's still not an excuse. Tahalia apologized more than once and gave me a discount voucher for my next visit. She was professional throughout the whole process but I'm not sure if there's even a next time after my first time nightmare experience. I'm scared to check my car in the daylight especially the section where it had debris from cleaning it. The only reason I'll be back is to have them fix the stained section they left but otherwise I will have to take my business somewhere else. read more

This place charged me $320 to perform what is supposed to be a complete detail of the car. When I arrived to pick the car up I even tipped the counter guy for the team bringing my total to almost $400. When I went to get the car though I noticed numerous areas that had not been touched (cleaned) several locations on the car were still filthy. I went inside to discuss this with a team member and he came out and kept spraying, spray wax on the car and rubbing it off stating the dirt on the hood was under the paint. This is a 2017 Toyota Highlander. Do you know what the odds are of the paint job being faulty from the factory and only being noticed 3 years after owning the cart. ASTRONOMICALLY HIGH AGAINST. In fact the marks on the hood are not under the paint. They just needed to be cleaned prior to spraying more and more wax over top of them. The interior was not fully cleaned either and there was considerable dog hair, dirt and debris on the instrument panel and the cup holders and the dashboard. THIS COMPANY SUCKS! They are not worth your time and money. Look at my photos, would you want to see this in your car after spending almost $400? As a last resort I called the corporate offices 6 times over a 3 hour period after leaving the location, even leaving a heated voice mail message about how frustrated and unhappy I was. Not the best detailing service I had. Walked in and told the front desk girl I had a 1pm appointment but couldn't be found in the system. After some time they said they could take my car. Felt like they rushed cleaning my car as there we're several spots that they missed. My dashboard was still dusty and had streak marks on the outer window. My cup holders didn't seem like they were touched. I was excited to see what my car would look like but was disappointed that I paid nearly $200 to have to clean the stuff they missed once I got home. read more

I used to come to a Vet Spa pre Covid once a month. The price was great and the detail was amazing! I went for the first time today since Covid and I could not be more disappointed. I arrived to learn prices had really increased (which is actually ok because of the convince and great detail) . But the man there kept trying to add more on for a higher price. When we got back to our car no one walked us through the the way they used to. I checked it and it looked good in the garage . When we left and light hit our car I saw they had not even cleaned the doors inside!! Nor the cup holders . I wasn't aware I should have taken Out my flash light to make sure they actually cleaned. Valet Spa is an excellent and convenient solution if you are shopping at the mall. Overall, they do a good job cleaning your car, and deliver your car to you in a timely manner. They are communicative throughout the process, and offer several packages to fit all budgets. I came here for an exterior wash, and they cleaned my car very well. My only gripe is that they left a few runny soap spots on my mirrors, and I would have preferred for them to wash and towel dry those areas, before I left. Stopped by Montgomery Mall per usual and decided to give Valet Spa a try. They did a wonderful job on my sedan. Inside and out were clean. The staff is professional and took good care and attention to all of the details. I got the lux which is $150. All floor mats and underneath were perfect without a spec of dirt anywhere. The car scent was fresh like it just left the dealership. It is conveniently at the Nordstrom entrance and can hit two birds with one stone - shopping and come out to a manicured clean car. I will be back & no need to get it detailed at the dealership any longer. read more

After reading their reviews on different platforms I decided I wanted to give them a try. I had to run some errands to run in the mall and had a movie after, which made it a convenient situation. I called in advance, set an appointment and was well received when I arrived. I wash my car pretty often and make sure to keep my interior very clean. I just bought the car 9 months ago and it was something I always wanted. So I still baby the car. I was nervous that it would get mishandled but figured that it would be good to try their Ultra Package ($230). The site lists that the Ultra service takes approximately 180 min and the manager let me know that my car would be ready in 2 hours and 45 minutes. I bring this up because my wife arrived maybe an hour and a half later and noticed that my car was parked and completed. She went in and asked if the car was done and called me to come see it. I showed up a few minutes later and to my surprise the car was done. For everything included, even clay barring the car, I thought it would take the whole time estimated. I was shown around the car where they offered to wipe clean some of the areas I pointed out on the exterior. It is my fault for not saying something in the moment but I did get a little upset to see the person wiping the spots with a microfiber cloth that looked filthy but I did not say anything. It shut me off a bit. I believe he noticed and actually went a grabbed a clean one after. I think they did a good job with the exterior, that instance aside. When I got home I inspected the door sills and saw a few areas that were likely rushed but what I realized is that they overlooked some pretty obvious areas in the interior. The cup holders had some particles left, same where the ports are. The rear view mirror wasn't wiped clean and the thing that really threw me off is that my panoramic sunroof was not even touched. There were areas that just seemed possibly rushed and slightly over looked. I'm giving 3 stars because I think they were all nice, professional, and did good job. I was however expecting a little more attention to detail since the car wasn't in bad shape to begin with and for the price of Ultra. I would maybe take my wife's SUV for their standard package, since the kids use it abuse it a Iot. I think it's good just not impressed what the money got me. read more

I could hardly see out due to the streaks. But I'll of course go back because my customer service was so wonderful. They deserve a second chance. The praises. Convenient while shopping & easy to make an appointment. The lows: 1. Too expensive for what the do. Your local car wash can do the same or better for half the price. 2. Miss obvious spots. As soon as I get in my car, I see on the side panel on the floor where your foot hits was not cleaned at all. Super obvious. 3.The appointment service doesn't communicate with the location. I get there and was told that I will. Be delayed another hour because the water was freezing. I understand that part but I had an appointment. It would have been nice to know beforehand. 4. Minor but no floor paper mats. We are having constant rainy/snowy weather where the ground is wet. We will bring elements back to our cars and they do not offer help. The employee indicated that the owner said it is a waste of money. I admit it might not be helpful to the planet, but we must recycle. If that was the response, I would have understood, but to say it is a waste of money and not offer it to your clients is not a good business move. It is a part of the service. read more

Hit and miss, mostly miss. The people who wash and dry the cars are either not properly trained and/or are just clueless about how to properly wash and dry a car without causing scuffs and noticeable fine scratches on the exterior finish. Cleaning glass from the interior without streaking or leaving excess lint residue doesn't appear to be a goal here either. Given the cost of their services, these are fairly disappointing missteps. I had the same bad experience as well! They hardy touched my minivan except to spray clean the outside! I brought my Tesla and the did same poor job! I hate to say it this is a scam job! They have so many customers from the mall so they don't really care except to collect you money! Sad but true! Save your money and go to a smaller operation. To be fair this occurred about 2 years ago and may not reflect today's situation. Perhaps management was able to identify the problem and make real changes to their staff or not. There was a young lady who was the only one that cared and asked me to come back later and she will clean everything herself for free! Do not bring your car here if you care about it at all. I had my Tesla detailed and they damaged the interior leather. There's a long gouge that looks like someone dragged a key on the leather and ripped it. When I got home and noticed the damage I called them immediately and they told me they could do nothing for me unless I brought the car back to look at. They were closing so they said to bring it back the next day when the manager, James, would be there. So the next day I drove all the way back there to show them and they said oh he's not here, we can't help you, and gave me a 10% off coupon. Thanks a lot. I left the manager a voicemail explaining the situation and got no response. This is completely unacceptable. My family has a small business so I really don't like to take things to public forums and write bad reviews, but this place gave me no choice. I drove an hour back to talk to them and was turned away and then left a voicemail that was ignored. These people clearly don't care about their customers or the quality of their service. I just came here this past Saturday afternoon since my Tesla Model 3 was in desperate need of a regular detail after a recent road trip. This location of Valet Spa was convenient in my day's plan and it looked like it got pretty good reviews so I took a chance. I got the premium detail ($60 without tip), and I loved that I can make the appointment online very easily. I came in a few minutes late to my booked time since I drove around the area looking for the Nordstrom's parking structure, but the car attendant was really nice and already factored that in after speaking to her on the phone earlier in the morning. The attendants and area is nice, really great you can go walk around the mall as you get your car cleaned. However, I was very disappointed with my detail outcome. I came back at the time I was told to (about an hour) and they were just about finishing up my car. They brought it over and I still saw soap foam dripping from different parts of my car. From the side mirrors, the trunk lining, and the rims. I also really wanted the big spots gone from my front area, and when I went to go see I saw so many still left it's like it wasn't even cleaned! I asked why this wasn't attempted and the attendant said they don't want to touch those spots because it might chip the paint (totally understandable). I asked if they can just wipe it with a wet rag and basically ALL of it wiped off! The inside was vacuumed well, but my dash still had dust on it? And my front window still had hard dirt spots and the inside of my windows weren't cleaned (still saw smudges and residue). I went to check the trunk and I was picking out leaves in the lining and got my own rag from my trunk to wipe away foam and leftover pollen, the two attendants just watched me do it. I didn't have time to keep cleaning it as I had to go to see my family, but was really upset with the experience. I paid a full tip and the bill before inspecting the car so I could save time but definitely not doing that ever again. I won't be returning here as the price isn't low for the service I received, I could have cleaned the car on my own if this was going to be the outcome. I'm a happy first time customer of the Valet Spa at the Montgomery Mall in North Bethesda. My 2016 Honda CR-V needed a bit of TLC and was the beneficiary of their Luxe Package. I like that this enterprise is at the mall to allow me to keep occupied while the car is being worked on -- movie theater in the mall, eating, bowling....etc. I was a walk-in and the accommodating staff took good care of me. I'm embarassed to admit that -- in my old age -- I've completely forgotten the name of the gentleman who took good care of me and my car. (Michael? A tall, slim African-American gentleman who was completely dedicated to providing a quality product and service. He's a great representative of the company). The Luxe Package took about 2 hours to complete from drop-off to pick up. My car came back as if it was a new vehicle from the dealer. All of the nooks and crannies where potato chip crumbs have gathered were spic and span. The interior and exterior were clean and looking just wonderful. And is it only me? Or does your car seem to drive and ride better after you've had it detailed? Seems to me that my SUV is gliding more smoothly and quietly through the mean streets of Montgomery County (LOL). tl;dr -- shorter version. Good place for a quality detail. Staff is impressive in their attention to customer service. I like it being at the mall so I can hang out while the car's being serviced. I'll be back. read more

Made a 9:30 am reservation a few weeks ago. The duration was supposed to be an hour. I showed up a few minutes before 9:30 and the attendant was speaking with someone else. When she got to me, she told me that my car wouldn't be ready until at least 1:30 pm because of the other car that just showed up. I told her that I had a reservation, but was told that didn't really matter, that it's more of a first come first served. I can understand running 30 minutes--or even an hour--late, but what was supposed to be an hour job (as the email confirmation stated) taking more than 4 hours is a bit much. This company is a fraud -- beware! Over a week ago I signed up online for a service, scheduled for later that day. My credit card was charged immediately. I then received a phone call telling me that their water was off and they had to cancel the appointment. Since I was going out of town I coulddn't reschedule and requested that my money be refunded. The person on the phone (I still have the cell phone number) told me that he could not refund my money and that would have to get a manager to call me. No manager ever did. I then had a text exchange in which he promised again that a manager would call. Again, no manager ever did, and when I texted back a few days later I received no response. I was referred to valet spa by a friend. I think they should have more signs from the streeet to help direct you to their location. I had a bit of trouble finding them. I love the convenience, you can shop or dine, while the car is being pampered. I had the pleasure of working with Mr. Harvey. He was very professional and made sure I selected the best package for my needs. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable of his work. Mr. Harvey took about an hour and fifteen minutes on my car. First time coming here. Made my appointment online which turns out doesn't mean anything because they don't have access to it. However, my appointment was early before the mall opened, so I didn't have other cars to compete with. Got the deluxe package which says it should take 90 minutes. I was told it might be 2 hours since there was only one detailer working. 2 1/2 hours later, I came to get to get my car and they were just finishing. They car was clean and looked good, but I discovered when I arrived home that I was missing 2 of the 4 magnets that I normally keep on the car. I had removed them myself before the cleaning and put them in the driver side pocket. They had moved them and two went missing. I called about it and received no response back. Not a great review.... Well - I was excited to finally have a car spa in my area and not have to drive to Tyson's Corner for quality car cleaning services. I had my car cleaned/waxed ~ 2 weeks ago at this new place. I specifically asked - if they were careful with applying wax to cars. My car is fairly new and rather nice :) Well the car cleaners applied wax to the car AND on the BLACK MOLDING/TRIM around my car and now after a week or so, I see white wax residue stained in the black molding - sloppy work and I cannot get it out...I specifically asked about the wax process because I did not want this to happen........... Now my car looks like I've had sloppy wax jobs done in the past - its STAINED. I'm so disappointed... Also, I was not impressed with the manager (kind of shady with his responses) about the workers - when I asked about how I could tip the workers. I really see things clearly now.... just a "nice looking car spa" to match the area - with average (Car Cleaning Service Mentality) looks are deceiving-- not high quality at all in my opinion. Like many of the other reviews, we had a bad experience which was remedied when we expressed our discontent with them. I made an appointment and brought it in and was told it would be 2 hours. I came back 2 hours and 15 minutes later and was told it would be another 25 minutes and if I didn't let them dry the seats then mold would form. It was another hour meaning it took over an hour longer than promised. On my way home, they called to say they forgot to put the mats back in the car and I needed to come back and get them, with little sympathy. As I was driving I noticed it was still visibly dirty and I had just paid $150. Long story short, they offered for me to bring the car back and they would give it the full works at no extra charge. Even though that meant more of my time, we did it anyway and I will say the car looks nice now. 2 stars because I should not have to go through all of this time and trouble to have the services promised. Also a low rating because the customer service was very unprofessional. When we arrived to pick up the car, he came to assist us and another woman complained that she had arrived first and as we walked away with him he laughed and mocked her to us. read more

Today was an awful experience. I showed up as the first customer of the day. I said I wanted an interior cleaning, I requested it be thorough, and I said don't do anything to the exterior of the car. The employee said he would vacuum, wipe everything down, shampoo the carpets and condition the leather. I said sounds great, how much and he said $50. I repeated the figure back, "$50, right?" so we were clear since we both had masks on and he said "yeah, $50". I gave him the keys and walked away to take care of somethings while waited. After about 90 minutes I checked the ticket to see progress and noticed that the cost per the ticket was now $150. I inquired about the change in cost and the response I received via text message was "I said $150, not $50", so I said that I was coming over. When I arrived to speak with the same employee, who now told me he was the manager, he kept telling me that he said $150 and that I heard what I wanted to hear and that I thought I heard $50 but he was clear with me before that it would cost $150. I tried to explain to him that his business has never charged me more than $150 for both an interior AND exterior top of the line detail on this car, so I cannot comprehend how just an interior cleaning would cost me $150 now. He just kept repeating to me that I heard what I wanted to hear and that I thought I heard $50 but he was clear with me before that it would cost $150. He then said he was even doing me a favor by giving me a free exterior detail and didn't respond when I asked why after I explicitly said I don't want anything done to the exterior of the car. I can't help but feel that this manager unilaterally decided what I needed and that he could freely charge me for whatever he provided despite our previous agreement. The employee then pulled my car around and tried to give me today's service for free -- I ended up paying for the service but I had to persistently fight to pay the $50 cost we previously agreed. Today's experience was a wholly unprofessional performance by the manager of this business. This is not a matter of the customer is always right but rather a customer experiencing the conduct of a dishonest professional who also couldn't follow instructions. Before today I was a regular customer (all previous experiences have been 4-5 star) who would've recommended this business without hesitation and after today I will be going to literally any other car detailing business in the future. read more

I have used Valet Spa 3 times since their opening. Overall, my car is left very clean and shiny. However, on my most recent visit, it seems that the detailers neglected a few areas. On this visit the rep did not have me inspect my car before leaving. Instead he just handed off the keys after I paid and off I went. There was some dirt, along with multiple water spots all around the rear hatch of my car. Also, the interior of the trunk/cargo area was not completely wiped down, and my cargo cover was still dirty. It would have taken 30 seconds to get these areas clean, so I'm not sure why it was neglected. All in all, the sales employees are friendly and the detailers do a good job, but for $90+ I expect my car to be spotless. read more
