Chimichanga Dinner "Tia Rita's Original!

I think I may have found my go to local mexican restaurant! Service was phenomenal and quick, staff was nice and attentive. Ambiance was welcoming and inviting. Food was phenomenal will definitely be back!

After not coming to this restaurant for quite a few years due to terrible service and food quality I decided to give them another try. I ordered the spicy shredded beef burrito lunch special, I believe it was around $12.95, and it was fairly good. The service was really good and the server was very friendly. Not a place that I will probably visit very often but I will definitely try them again.

The food here was fantastic. Great deals happy hour on the weekends. It was extremely busy probably because of Mother's Day weekend. We waited for about 10 minutes in the bar area before our table was cleaned and a server came by but needless to say amazing deals amazing food highly recommend this is a huge establishment and I would rather wait at a table then wait out in a parking lot.

We had a lovely time on the outside patio which overlooks a lake. I ordered the Luna burrito bowl (no meat or cheese) with black and pinto beans. It was delicious! It was cinco de mayo and the staff did a great job with service especially considering how busy they were.

Let me start off by saying the food was fresh and delicious. I got the guacamole boat appetizer, chimichanga dinner, and fried ice cream and all were great! The ambiance was a little weird but cool at the same time. There were some dark areas like the waiting area and walking towards the tables. The tables were little huts, but some of the booths were tight and seats were low. The service was fine, not bad but not the greatest. Overall it was good and would recommend!

The burrito was a little soggy. The shredded beef was moist. The lettuce was a little cooked due to the heat of the food. The rice was a little dry. The black beans were alright. They put a little shredded cheese on top that was all melty. You don't get chips with your order. The staff was not very friendly. Did a take out order over the phone. The restaurant is located in a shopping plaza. There is a little man made lake out back. Watch out for mosquitoes. There was a long line of people waiting to get seated. The décor is a little kitschy and old fashioned. Some people like that kind of decor.

Margarita and tacos

Monday lunch with the girls for Margaritas and tacos because let's be real, those are the only things that matter. Service was ridiculously fast and polite, I mean, they must've known we were starving. Had great service, obviously. We split 2 of the mini taco plates with a mix of Beef and Chicken because sharing is caring, and also because we're not savages. I liked the chicken better, no surprise there, I'm a chicken connoisseur after all. We sat out on the patio in the sun, it was absolutely gorgeous this Fall day. Inside is a little too dark for me but the bar hermit enjoy the glow of the tv.

Hubby & I had dinner here tonight. I doubt we will be back. We were seated right away. Our server came over in a timely manner. We ordered our usual drinks of waters, beer & sangria. When our drinks came I asked for chips & salsa. She said they should be coming. It's weird to have alcohol drinks before chips & salsa. They did finally come. We didn't have plates for the chips, silverware or napkins. The sangria is really small. About half the size of a normal sangria anywhere else. It was okay. Hubby's beer was good & cold. The waters were warm so most of the ice was melted. We didn't have plates for the chips or napkins. Hubby ordered Baja fish tacos with rice & black beans. I ordered chicken fajitas without peppers & no lettuce. When our food was delivered I asked the person who brought it for silverware. He brought it & chip plates. The tacos were not what hubby expected. They were a piece of fried fish. He said they were good with the sauce, my sour cream & my guacamole on them. He loved the rice & black beans. My chicken did not have any char on it. The rice & beans were good. The women's restroom needed a good cleaning as the walls & floor were dirty. There was a sign on one of the stalls stating out of order. For the amount of money we paid & small drinks & the food just being okay, we won't be back anytime soon.

This place it's terrible on service it's took like 15m to 20m order a drink and the service never put the order she didn't know what she was doing and keep excusing her self saying she was new but it was her excuse to not doing her job but she had time to talk and spending time with the coworkers. The view it's nice but the service it's terrible.

We had so much fun here. Met for lunch in between a couple of playoff basketball games. I had a white death marg and the sangria marg, both fantastic. We had the trio dip and I had the taco salad with pollo. Everything was great! Our server Bella in the bar was exceptional! Fried ice cream was fire!

We decided to stop by Valle Luna in Chandler with our daughter on Margarita Monday for their $1.99 margaritas! The bar area was pretty busy, but we were able to get a table inside the restaurant. The margaritas, chips, and salsa were all delicious, and we ended up ordering the tamale dinner, which was just as good as I remembered. We used to always take our kids to their Ahwatukee location before it closed. My only complaint is that they serve the margaritas in plastic cups, so the salt doesn't really stick to the rim like it would on a glass. I can definitely understand why they use the plastic cups as I'm sure they go through a ton of glasses but in my opinion it's just nicer to have the salt actually stay on the rim of a glass. Overall, we still enjoyed the evening and will definitely come back!

8/9/25: It wasn't bad; pretty large place, with a lot of bright colors throughout -- and some pretty funny signage. Unfortunately I don't remember what we ordered, but we both enjoyed the food. The only negative I can remember is that our server sometimes seemed more interested in the two gals at another table. Not sure if he was trying to hit on them, or they were hitting on him. Ha! Regardless, the service was decent and he was very friendly, talkative. I can't say there was anything fantastic about our experience that would make us drive from Laveen to Chandler just to eat there again, but maybe if we catch ourselves in the area again we would give it another go.

Everyone raves about this place whether it's the one on Bell or this one in Chandler, but I've been unimpressed with both locations. The food just doesn't taste fresh or very authentic. The service was very friendly, but slow. Waited over 10 minutes for the box we requested, and to take our payment to pay our tab. The decor and atmosphere seem cluttered and dated. Overall, I would pass on this location and likely past its prime since it's an older location in the valley.

Senior menu offered on Tuesdays. Great Prices, Great Food.

I love the food at Valle Luna. Consistently good. I do however like the one on cave creek better than the one on west bell.

Is this place dog friendly?

Since they have an outdoor patio, they may be, but I'm not 100%.

Can the patio be reserved for a coed baby shower?

I haven't tried to do it, but I have been there when it was being done for an anniversary. So I'll say yes. Good luck.

Do they cook beans in lard? Does rice have chicken stock in it?

They cook their refried beans in lard and the rice does have chicken stock. Their flour tortillas are also fried in lard.

If you're considering getting married here, do it! You will not regret it. First, the venue is just beautiful. There's a big white barn with concrete floors (and air conditioning!), which is where we had our ceremony. Plenty of bathrooms, gorgeous bride and grooms quarters. The lawn is huge and green and lovely, and lined with mature trees. It was 90 degrees on my wedding day but it was perfectly comfortable on the property thanks to all the shade from the trees. Parking is limited on site, but there are side streets to park down. The DoubleTree nearby provides a free shuttle. We had 100 or so guests and didn't have any problems. We encouraged carpooling, provided parking maps with Sean's help, and told guests not to block driveways or park too close to stop signs. It's in a residential area, so be mindful of the neighbors. Ok, second, Sean was an incredible host. Having our wedding there felt like having it at a friend's house. Sean was so easy-going and opened the property to us so many times to let us scheme and meet with vendors (many of whom were recommendations from Sean and were outstanding!) On the morning of our wedding, we had a couple acrylic signs that we had made that weren't working with the easels that we brought. Sean said no problem, grabbed some wood, cut it, routed out the middle, and MADE US STANDS for the signs that were absolutely perfect. Can you believe? He's such a good guy, and it's things like that that really make you feel like you're in the right place. Thanks again, Sean and family!

So I emailed them from the "contact us" section on their website asking to view the property then received a response the next day and after a few emails back and forth we scheduled an appointment even though brief. I was told to text them a reminder. So after texting them a reminder on the day of, no response, then later I sent another text while on the way. They called me and told me they have no memory of scheduling my appointment but that they were up the street and would come meet me there. Then told me to just look around myself and call if I have questions. So my fiancé and I were just walking around the venue alone not knowing what's what. We felt like our wedding or business wasn't even important. We get they're probably busy and deal with a ton of people but just a big lack of respect. A wedding is a special time to a couple they want to feel like it's special and not a burden.

Our guests are still talking about how beautiful everything was. We ended up loving our coordinator, Katie. She was incredibly sweet, organized, and helpful during the final stages of planning and on the day of the wedding. The only challenge we experienced was that she was our third or fourth coordinator throughout the planning process. The staff changes made it a little difficult to keep track of previous conversations and details, which added some stress along the way. In the end, everything came together beautifully, but the turnover was a bit tough to navigate. The food catered by the venue was fantastic. We received so many compliments from our guests about how delicious everything was, and the catering staff did an amazing job. Where we struggled a little was with pricing expectations. Based on our initial conversations and the overall cost of the venue, we assumed more items were included than what ended up being covered. As we got closer to the wedding, there were several additional fees that surprised us and made budgeting harder than expected. For example, we chose not to do signature drinks because there was a $300 fee just to offer them, even though we were providing the alcohol ourselves. It was small things like that which we hadn't anticipated being extra. Even with those frustrations, we truly had a wonderful experience overall. Our wedding day was beyond magical, and the venue and catering staff worked incredibly hard to make everything run smoothly. We are very grateful for their efforts and for the beautiful memories we were able to create there. Overall, we would absolutely recommend having your wedding here.

They have packages to choose from but we ultimately decided to book the venue itself and details regarding the bar and then personally book the vendors they have on their booking list. Halfway through planning we got overwhelmed and decided to add the florist, DJ, and photographer on our package and it did cost less than booking outside of the package! We had 100 guests and we got compliments from almost everyone on the venue itself, caterer, flowers, and DJ. For how expensive weddings can be I can confidently say booking with Villa Siena makes it so easy and so worth it! An additional thank you to our coordinator Jessica she was so helpful and kind & neither my husband or I or even our wedding party had to worry about a thing. Everything was so seamless and perfect.

Since we were planning the event from out of town, having a team we could trust was incredibly important -- and Bailey and the entire staff handled everything flawlessly. Even the decorations were set up beautifully and exactly as we had hoped. The food was excellent, the staff was friendly and attentive, and everything ran smoothly from start to finish. A special thank you to Bailey, the Event Coordinator, who was wonderful to work with throughout the entire process. She was organized, responsive, and made everything feel easy and stress-free leading up to the event and the night of the dinner. The highlight was definitely the Rafter Room -- it was even more impressive in person than in the pictures. The space had a great atmosphere for a rehearsal dinner and made the evening feel really special for our family and guests. Highly recommend The Social Hall for anyone looking to host a private event in Tempe.

My first visit to Social Hall a few weeks ago was outstanding…read more I visited with my sister, daughter, and 6-year-old grandson on a Sunday afternoon shortly after opening. The restaurant is much larger than I expected and beautifully designed. We were greeted immediately, seated quickly, and had a wonderful server who walked us through the menu and offered recommendations. The food was excellent. I ordered the brisket nachos from the small plates menu and was shocked by the portion size. They arrived hot and loaded with toppings, including a generous helping of tender, well-seasoned brisket. My daughter's Brussels sprouts were crispy, flavorful, and topped with bacon. My sister loved her cheeseburger and truffle fries, and my grandson couldn't stop saying, "This some good food, Ma!" with every bite of his mac and cheese. What really sealed the experience was when the manager stopped by our table. She was warm, welcoming, shared some history about the restaurant, and made us feel genuinely appreciated as first-time guests. We left already talking about when we'd come back. Because of that experience, I brought additional family members and a friend back last night. Unfortunately, the second visit was very different. Our waitress was wonderful and provided excellent service, but the food lacked the quality and flavor we experienced the first time. I ordered the same brisket nachos and Brussels sprouts, but the portions and seasoning were noticeably different. The Brussels sprouts weren't as crispy or flavorful, and the nachos had very little brisket. When I mentioned it, our waitress graciously brought out more brisket, which I appreciated, but the dish still wasn't the same. Others in our group were disappointed as well. The wings lacked flavor, a burger was overcooked, and my son--who is a chef and was excited to try--didn't particularly enjoy his meal. The contrast between our two visits was surprising. Our first experience was easily 5 stars, while our second left us questioning whether we'd return. That said, because our first visit was so impressive, I'm willing to believe this may have simply been an off night. Social Hall clearly has the potential to deliver an excellent dining experience. I'm hopeful our second visit was the exception rather than the rule, and I would consider giving them another chance in the future.

The fourth floor looks terrible -- there are empty, broken-down rooms and the hallways feel neglected. The carpet on both the fourth floor and first floor is in very bad shape and looks like it hasn't been maintained in a long time. Inside the rooms, the flooring is actually popping up in areas, which makes the whole place feel worn out and poorly maintained. Overall, the hotel just looks very old and neglected now. The elevators are another concern. They make loud noises and honestly sound like they could break at any moment. There is also an unpleasant smell in parts of the building. When you get off the elevator and walk toward the lobby, you can see construction going on, which only adds to the messy and rundown feeling of the property. This place used to be a great stay when we first came here, but now it's honestly pretty shameful to see how much it has deteriorated.
