My contractor ordered $30k windows two weeks ago. When I saw them arrived I just want to cry. Instead of the 2 x 4 grids in my Architecture plans, they gave me 3 x 5 grids. Small windows should be 2x2 grids, they gave me 3x3. Now the elevation views looks so crowded, completely ruined the appearance. I asked my contractor why the grids not matching the plan. She said Value Windows saleswoman used their software automatically generate the grids based on the window sizes. Unable to have the grid patterns on plan. After my complain she contacted the sales, sales said they can take the glass off and their workers can hand adjust the grid patterns. We have to pay the additional cost of the labor and materials for more than three thousand dollars. Why couldn't she tell my contractor early for this solution? That could save us lot of money and time. read more

Value Windows & Doors replaced the windows and doors of my condo a year ago. Well, last week it was the first big rain week in Irvine, and rain water dripped through the top of the new doors into our house. I emailed their office representative who told me that their people will call me. Three days have passed, and I have not got any call. I am now wondering how long it will take them to come to fix it. Update: Eight days after my original posting, Value Windows & Doors sent a technician and made the fix (I will have to wait for the next rain day to see its effectiveness). Shortly after that, I received an apology email from their general manager. For this reason, I now increase them from one star to three star. read more

I have just got a quota from values. Its a pretty good deal compared to the other local window companies. (Before, i have also called several other window companies.) In addition the sales lady there is super nice and helpful. She was patient to answer all my questions even though I told her that I might not purchase windows at once. But she suggested me to take a factory tour and take a look of how the windows are produced. I think i shall take her suggestion. For now, I give four stars for the company. Jimmy came and measured all my windows and in 2 hours I got all my measurement. I ordered a triple pane windows and everything has been great so far. It is very quiet now inside the house. I used value windows products in 2013 for all 20 some windows and 3 sliding doors. They offer decent quality products and competitive price. Recently, someone broken into the house by breaking the glasses of the back yard sliding door. So I reached out to value windows for glass replacement. It was kind of stressful at first because they kept asking for my original order number. Apparently, they have replaced the computer system, those old orders can be found by just address. Anyway, once I provided the copy of the receipt, Patricia, from customer services dept, helped identified the size of the glass and coordinated with Annie from sales ordered me the glasses. Furthermore, they recommended their contractor who did great job to replace the glasses for in timely manner. Now it looks like the original sliding door again! read more

I really need to defend this company. They provided such a pleasant experience from beginning to end. I called them because I needed 8 windows and 2 sliding doors. I didn't know much about windows but my neighbor asked me to call Value. A man came and got all the measurements and said that the estimate will be e-mailed to me. He didn't try to pressure me or sell me anything. The next day I was able to print out 2 detailed estimates of the windows and the installation. The next day I looked on Yelp and looked up a 4 star window company that said that installation would be free this month. I immediately called them and set up an appointment. This guy brought in two large suitcases of displays to demonstrate. He did the heatlamp test and explained how they made the best frames. The only thing on my mind was the free installation. If his estimate was close to Value Windows with the free installation, then I would probably go with them. After 2 hours of listening to his presentation and watching video of how his company began, his estimate was More than 3 times Value Windows! He looked at me as if I didn't believe that his price was reasonable. He told me to get other estimates and that no one can compare. I told him that I have an estimate from Value Windows and then showed him the pages. He made a phone call and told me that he can give me a lower quality frame at a closer price. It was still over $2000 more than Value. He left as if he wasted his time with me. I can see where innocent housewives or elderly couples would feel pressured to buy their product since the salesman puts on a show and dance. Be careful. There shouldn't be any pressure. A week later me and my wife visited the showroom at Value. It really isn't much, but they do have all the windows with heatlamps so you can feel the difference. Most important the people are really nice and you can negotiate. They set up another window man to come over and get exact measurements. This worked out for us because one of the windows was a standard size and not a custom size that was measured earlier. When they showed up they bring a team of about 5 and immediately take apart windows. We take off shoes in our house but we would never ask them to, but they did. You can stand there and watch them work and if they miss a spot of caulk or foam or anything just say so, they will fix it. They worked from about 9:30 till 4:30 and even cleaned up. I gave them 2 checks (one for the windows and one for the installation) just as we negotiated. There were no surprises. The neighbors that recommended them came over and complemented the work. My daughter says it looks like a beach house. Pretty cool. Thanks Value Windows. I hope people see through the other reviews and get the same experience we got. read more

I'm currently in the process of renovating my Los Angeles home, and I have to admit: it's been a lot of ups and downs. Fortunately, installing new windows (to block out noise, better insulate, and frankly, spruce up) wasn't nearly as difficult as I expected. I called the Value offices and they walked me through my options and what kind of price range I was to expect. I was really impressed by their graphic design software, which was able to map out my home's needs. We were able to have new windows up within 5 days of deciding we wanted new windows! Purchased from this company over 2 months ago. There was always something wrong with the measurement or the grid patter. Another time the grid was not even straight. We call different numbers and they are too busy or now closed for the day. It has been a lot of back and forth unfortunately we had to pay for everything up front and now we have an incomplete project. Till this day we are still waiting for windows to come in and be installed but we are down almost 10k. My husband and I have tried to work things out it just seems we are tossed to the side. Stella a sales rep there has said she would call back and neglects to call back or just doesn't answer her phone. We are extremely unhappy at this time with this company and would not recommend them to anyone. We just feel since they got paid in full they can take their time with the project I guess but a little communication would go a long way if there was communication. read more

When my family decided to go for a home remodeling project and upgrade about 15 windows and 4 sliding doors to energy efficient ones, we were referred by some friends to value windows. I called them to get a quote and the sales person on phone was very helpful and knowledgeable, making the whole process an easy breeze. The installers came to our place are very nice and speak mandarin so my mom felt easier communicating with them about our needs. These window and doors are of superior quality and we have not yet encountered any leaking problems ( hopefully will never have). We are so far very impressed and satisfied with their service. We had our sliding glass door done, along with screens. we noted that when we opened the screens they fell off of the track. We contacted the installer who directed us to the manufacturer- Value window and doors. They sent out an technician who used PLASTIC strips to anchor the door into the slot... the entire door cost $9000 and they used little plastic strip which looks UGLY to correct the problem on the screen door. The technician, seemed like a nice man but I would not know since his english was extremely limited. this is not acceptable at all. I am hoping for call on Monday- we will see. read more

Today, I had a scheduled appointment to get my windows installed. However, our rep Ken Li assured us that the installations "should" take place in the morning hours at approximately 9:30 a.m. The contractors arrived at 2:50 p.m. . Upon their arrival, they "claimed" they never would agreed to arriving at a certain time frame. And that they are to "show up whenever they want". The contractors were not only rude but they started yelling at us and was very hostile towards my family. Since they were installing front windows, we asked them to enter through the front door. That is when the contractors flip out and begin arguing and yelling at us AGAIN. Wow check that out...who knew customers pay for that kind of service. He not only threnten us but claimed they are going to quit and never will come back. Luckily, all the neighbors witnessed his rude behavior (not to mention yelling at the customers). Had all our windows install in June. On the day of installation they calculated wrong and double on one size so one window had to wait for a week. Upon inspecting the new Windows they felt very lose side to side. As you open the window you can swing them left to right. I called to complaint it took many calls and emails for them to respond. Our sale per Mrs. Lee finally got back to me and send their ppl out to inspect. They told me all I have to do is push top left and right clip out to reduce the side to side tension. For some reason I believe them. Well summer is about to end and weather cooler we opening our windows for evening cool air. Be hold...most of our windows would not stay open. They slide down once you open them. I email Mrs. Lee took her two days to reply me. Her reply is she already contact their service team. It been few days no call from them. I email her again and been two days no reply from Mrs. Lee or call from their service team. If anybody who shopping for Windows i highly recommend that you shop other places. I should've done my research before we went with them. It been a very stressful start and hasn't end for us because our windows does not work. It took me a while to get in touch with a salesperson. However once I did TOM came out in a timely manner and measured my windows and sliding door. I then went in person to Duarte and closed the deal. Lee set up a delivery and installation date for me within a two week period and I still cannot believe that my windows and slider were manufactured , delivered and installed within that timeline. We have been super busy in the past two months remodeling our home. During that time, we have talked to many building suppliers and Value Windows and Doors is one of the best among them. We were invited to their showroom at their manufacturing facility for their products. It was not the nicest showroom we have seen but it was definitely one of the most informative showroom about windows and glass. We learned how a LoE3 glass could perform better thermal efficiency than other glass, what is the proper and professional installation, etc. Their sales were very knowledgeable and patient. Although their price is not the cheapest, we would choose them since we did see professionalism inthem and we didn't want our house to have a leaking problem 2 years later. They have a large variety of windows and doors to choose from and we finally chose their GS series windows, which is really nice looking, solid designed, thermal efficient and anti-theft, plus NEAT glass on all windows without additional cost at all. We replaced 19 windows and 2 sliding doors in our house with Value and our house looks so beautiful now! My husband said that we can even sell 10% more of our house after the new windows installed and I agree with him! We would recommend Value windows and doors to anyone who is looking for a nicer house with quality windows and doors! read more

It turned out the salesman speaks mandarin, and I quite like the fact because I trust mandarin speakers' opinions. Then I took a tour at Value factory and decided to purchase the aluminum triple glass anti heat windows. The install team came with the same salesperson, basically gave me some instructions and maintenance tips. After using for several months, my electricity bill came down. Both me and my friend did extensive researches on Window and Door manufactures in the valley area. We compared at least 4 different vendors, including Value, Malibu, and two smaller companies. We visited their factories, warehouses, etc. What we found are the following: Price wise Value is middle of the road, but no more than 5% than the cheapest offer. Quality, Value is the best of the 4. After visiting the factory floor, we conclude that only value has set forth a standard process and quality control. Variations in seals, seams, joints are small compared to other vendors. Service is quite professional. I had my windows and doors replaced in two sessions. The first time I used a contractor, who did an excellent job. the second time was done directly by Value's service. Being a handyman myself, I was there to observe the whole process, from taking measurements to the actual installation. The measurement is precise, resulting in well customized window and doors (I ordered retrofits). The installation is professional. Frames are aligned and leveled. Old window removal is delicate and with minimum damage. The only cons I can see is that they tend to over caulk the outside. But not if you stick your nose up against it to check, you will not notice. Delivery is fast. They give you a delivery date in the quote, and they stick to that date precisely. And that was during the end of the year tax credit crunch. read more

Today I changed a few windows in Value, two large windows facing south and a small round window. The ordering speed is very fast. I called the sales Annie on July 14 and placed the order. The installation is done only in 6 days. I was still worried that it would be more difficult to get workers in the summer. The size is correct and the quality is durable and smooth. It is cheap and efficient, just like the saying goes "the quality of Germany and the efficiency of China". In the summer of more than 90 degrees in Southern California, my home is only 70 degrees. I remember that before replacing the new window, the room temperature was more than 90 degrees, and the indoor temperature was more than 80 degrees. It was nearly ten degrees lower than the indoor temperature before installation, which immediately improved my life satisfaction. Originally, when I was thinking about replacing windows, I listened to several friends' introductions and searched several Windows to compare them. I saw some bad reviews of values, but after comparing the product quality and installation speed, I Finally chose value windows. When ordering, I chatted with the sales Annie to know that at the end of 2016, value updated the enterprise resource management system, which is a cantor system from Germany, designed and operated specifically for the door and window industry. Dissatisfaction of the reviews may be from the user who is the running-in period of changing the system. My feeling is that by using the new system of Value windows, it is running very smoothly and the service is very intimate. Just replaced 10 windows in my house with Value Replacement Windows. They look great. There was one minor problem, as a couple of the glass panes has some sore of contamination on the inside of the glass envelop. It appeared that the glass was not completely clean when they applied the LOe coat. I contacted Value they sent someone out to look at the windows and then replace the glass in everyone that I indicated had a problem. No questions asked, no hassle! Last week, I called Value Windows and Doors because my friend introduced me to this company, and Annie La picked up the phone. I told her to give me a quotation. She gave me a price after 3 days, and the price was very high. I went to their showroom to look at their products, and I noticed that the corners of their windows were done roughly, especially the sliding doors. The products are not worth the price. Annie told me that the products were fine. The materials are horrible, and the price has skyrocketed from the previous years. I have no idea what the company is trying to aim for or what they are thinking. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU WANT QUALITY WORK. Had two sliding glass doors installed. I have seen other sliding glass doors that open and close much better. This felt rough. They did not take responsibility for their subcontractors screw ups. It appears their subcontractors are under the same owners. Their subcontractor AAA Value Windows did a terrible job. They created some much dust in my dinning room, everything had a layer of dust. They did not block off the work area to protect he room from dust. They instead used my table mats to fan out the dust. They also crack one of my tiles and did not even give me any discount for the tile. Instead, they took one of my last two spares to replace the broken one. They did not use the correct color grout, they instead used tile cement as the grout. Now the floor has one area bright white instead of tan. The trims were no even on the wall. Some areas where about 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch away from the wall. They used calking instead of silicon to fill in the gaps. Also the calking was all over the doors. Some calking has dirty finger prints that will not come off. Neither company will take responsibility for their extremely poor workmanship. If there are any size difference, they will not install wood to reinforce the frame. Both doors had about 3-4 inch gaps on top. All they did was fill in the gaps with expanding foam. The doors were only mounted on the sides. Their price was cheap, so you get what you paid for. CHEAP PRICE - CHEAP WORK - CHEAP QUALITY. DO NOT USE THEM. VERY DISAPPOINTED CUSTOMER. The sale person Annie, was very nice until the purchase was sign and deposited, did not want to resolve and issue. She wanted me to deal with their subcontractor that they hired. read more

Windows are not bad but the Customer Service and co-ordination were terrible. I schedule a day where both the Window Contractor and Security Alarm Technician can work together which is on Sat 9:00am, & Security System at 11:00am. I told them that this is a must because I don't want w/o alarm system one it replace. They promised NO PROBLEM. I gave them 3 weeks to prepare/order the windows. At the last minutes on Friday noon, 21 hours before the appointment, the sales person calls and wants to change the schedule to 2:00pm instead due to schedule conflict. I told her that is not possible since the, it takes 2 - 3 weeks to make another appointment with Security System Technician and she said she will work it out. Sat. morning at 9:00am, I called the office and she said the contract will be over at 9:30am. The Contractor call around 9:30am and said he will be late and will be over 10:30am. By 10:45am the contractor call again said he won't be able to come over until 2:00pm because the windows have not been shipped over from Riverside yet. I told him I don't accept that and I call the office and the sales don't pickup my phone. I left her messages, she never call back. I dropped her email and she didn't replied either. An hour later, the contractor called back said he couldn't install the windows today because windows are not ready. We had moved all our furniture and beds and take off all curtains apart and wait for them. I got upset and they show up at 4:30pm, it's dark and of course couldn't be finished. Until Monday, the sales send me email and says sorry, she was very busy and unable to reply my email nor phone but everything is okay now, I don't need this kind of sorry. I reschedule for the Alarm System Technician to come out again and I live 3 weeks w/o Alarm System. Don't ever count on them! What's a service!!!! I will never never recommend any relative or friends. I will rather pay more to have better service. read more
