A small nail was found and the tire was repaired and rotated to the front passenger side. For reference, the car had four brand-new Firestone Destination LES tires installed in late March 2025 - with current tread readings of 9/32 at VTA and 10/32 according to both my insurance company and the repair shop. The very next day, while driving home from Baltimore, that same "repaired" tire exploded on I-70 W, leaving a 5-6 inch hole in the sidewall. The sound and flying debris were so alarming and violent that I thought the wheel had come off. It's a miracle I didn't lose control or cause a major crash. When I returned to VTA to report the incident, I expected at least basic professionalism and at minimum, some concern for a customer's safety following a catastrophic tire failure less than 24 hours after service. Instead, the manager, Tom, refused to meet with me, sending an unqualified sales representative to explain that the blowout "might have been caused by the nail." Really? The nail your shop removed somehow caused a sidewall to rip open the next day? Days later, however, after both my insurance adjuster and auto body shop expressed disbelief that VTA never offered to replace the tire, I returned for a second time. But once again, the result was identical: no manager, no ownership, and no integrity. Just deflection, denial, and finger-pointing. One employee even went so far as to suggest the blowout was somehow my fault - an absurd and insulting accusation completely unsupported by fact. For the record, the blowout caused over $6,100 in vehicle damage! After researching other customers' experiences, it's clear that my incident wasn't an isolated event. VTA has a pattern of unsafe repairs, poor workmanship, and a complete refusal to take responsibility when their mistakes endanger customers. This isn't just unprofessionalism - it's reckless. VTA's putting lives at risk and then hiding behind excuses when disaster strikes. Again, it's important to emphasize - No manager. No apology. No accountability. No integrity. No empathy. No professionalism. Just disrespect, indifference, and evasion. If you value your safety or your vehicle, go anywhere else. VTA has made it abundantly clear that they neither stand behind their work, and certainly do not care about their customers! The attached picture clearly reveals that nothing struck the tire.

I left thoroughly impressed by this shop and its employee Jose. He was the only person working at the time (someone called in sick) but he communicated that to me and I only needed to wait 10 or 15 mins which was no big deal for me. Jose was very polite and professional. He performed his job with care and noticed something was leaking under the hood of my car. Instead of ignoring this he brought it to my attention. I was aware of a steering pump leak but I could not figure out where the leak was coming from. Jose grabbed some tools and a flashlight and noticed a loose clamp. He checked some bolts and even tried to tighten them for me in an effort to fix the problem. I had aslo just changed out my alternator a fews days earlier and I told him I lost my flashlight somewhere behind the engine. Jose said he would look for it and actually found it and another clamp I had no idea I had lost. Truly Jose went far above and beyond. Businesses are only as good as their employees and Jose should be commended for his great customer service. I will definitely be back in the future. 5 stars from me and well deserved thanks to Jose Rodriguez and his exceptional service.

I called on my way over to make sure they were open, and the tech who answered the phone assured me I could come right in and got me registered as I headed their way. It took just under an hour for the team to evaluate my tire, spot the screw that was causing the leak, patch it, and fill it back up.
