Michelle (maybe the manager?) was very professional, knowledgeable, patient and kind to EVERYONE and she had FULL garage situational awareness the entire time. Juggling- helping the other techs, other customers and myself. Jose did a great job changing my rear differential fluid. There was some hiccups because of the kind of car I had but he remained patient and didn't give up. I would've thrown a wrench if I was doing it in my garage. Not sure on this place now. This week: i pulled up, they told me to wait outside a stall but never gave me an expectation as to how long it wd be. 20 min, i almost left. Then employees, one had big ring of keys hanging off his belt, another had a chunky metal watch, etc - too many opptys to scratch a car. Had another kid cking tire pressure, on hot tires. Hot tires don't give a good reading so he's not getting a proper reading. Then, in cking oil with dipstick, they wipe it off with their gloved hand - no rag. I watched to insure they wouldn't get an oily hand print on the inside or outside of my vehicle. The techs were pretty respectful which was good, but a couple showed their inexperience so good they asked for help. I'm on the fence as to if I'll be back I guess. read more

Ugh! Oil Changes! I hate them!!! This place makes it quite easy and convenient though. You pull in and you don't even have to get out of the car. They change the oil right then and there. The guys who work here are always nice and helpful. They come to you to explain everything that they are doing to your car. I was able to get in right away and I was done within 15 minutes. Update : business owner commented saying how they are vulnerable to the wait times changing so this is why I wasn't quoted a time. I did, however, tell the person on the phone that I was already there so I'm not sure if this is applicable in my case. I'm sure it would have been a great experience had I been able to get an actual wait time quoted. Unfortunately the lady on the phone kept saying "this is our busiest time of day and it's Friday so ........" and when prompted again on about how long it would be for me to get in and out with an oil change, she said "I can't count all the cars so ......." Granted she was pretty "nice" about it but I can't pull into a car place to get an oil change not knowing if it will take 1 hour or 3 hours. Who has that kind of luxury?? Hopefully I can call them next time and get this information to be able to decide I can get my car serviced with them. Has anyone ever not been quoted a wait time when they asked for one at a place like this?? I'm so curious! I have been bringing my car here for about four years now - never for anything big (knock on wood and thank you, Honda) but for routine services like oil changes and inspections. The service here has always been top notch - even when they had to work in their previous facility which was a step above a sweat shop. She has always been very professional and courteous in our dealings - and I never get that scammy feeling that I have gotten at other auto centers. I hadn't been to this location in years, but decided to try out their drive through oil change service due to the COVID situation. You stay in your car the whole time as they communicate to you from their station. While they change your oil, they'll check your air filter, fluids, and ask you to activate your blinkers and lights to make sure everything is in working order. I chose full synthetic which came out to around 100 dollars minus an 8 dollar coupon. It's a bit pricier than other places, but otherwise overall service was good and prompt. I was in and out in about 20 minutes. As a healthcare worker I appreciate that they're working during the pandemic and definitely appreciated that the manager wore a mask even though some of the other employees did not. Overall I like their service, I just wish the prices were a bit less expensive. The dealership actually charges less than Valvoline which was surprising! I would come back though due to their oil change bay speed. read more

I bought a Groupon to try this place out. Usually, I go to the Toyota dealership. The Groupon includes oil and filter for $29.99. When the service was completed, I was told that my 2014 Toyota uses a premium filter so I owed an additional $10.16. I was not told this before my service. If I knew I was going to pay the same price as the dealership, I would have gone to the dealership. I don't appreciate surprise costs. Toyota never charged me something before I agreed to it. On 1/29/10 I visited the Vavoline in Coppell to get my oil changed. Sitting alone in the waiting room, I could hear the patter of raindrops outside. Suddenly, I felt something cold and wet fall on my arm. I assumed it was a rain drop, but when I looked down, I saw a maggot. On my arm. And on my purse. And on the chair next to me. And all over the floor. I looked up to see maggots spilling out of their ceiling like a horror movie. They were raining down everywhere, splatting on the floor, and then squiggling their way around. I jumped out of my seat and darted outside, just to get slammed by high winds and rain. I re-entered, defeated, and stood with my body plastered to the back wall. The attendant wandered in to give me some information on my car. I informed the him of the maggots, to which he responded: "Whoa, weird. Do you want to ... wait outside?" "It's RAINING outside!" "Oh, well, we should be done soon." And there he left me, knee deep in horror and maggots. I left as quickly as possible, after paying... yes paying... for my oil change. I went immediately home for a very hot hot hot shower, and then I complained to Valvoline. After a complaint or two, I was promised a refund on my oil change. As if $35 would make this whole nightmare go away. But, maybe it's all they can do... I'll take it. And, 3 weeks later after yet another email wondering where my check was, I actually received said refund in the mail. Regardless, I think it goes without saying that I will not be returning any time soon. Why did it take me this long to review the location? Because it took me this long to move past the event enough to tell that story without immediately wanting to shower again. And now, I can laugh about how horrible this place was while warning you to go elsewhere. Ick!! read more

Impressive service. I brought my pickup truck in on a June Saturday morning around 10:30am, noticed a very short line because they had a $19.99 oil change special running that day, and asked about an inspection. James and team got my inspection done in 10 minutes for $35 (they had a $5 off special as well). I sat in their small, rather spartan, no-frills waiting room, watching CNN on the flatscreen. One of the mechanics offered me a bottled drink that they had stored in a cooler outside the building--so, yes, the place is low on amenities. No evidence of an infestation that an earlier reviewer experienced; the place was clean, chairs were averagely comfy. They even had a nice marigold bed outside the shop with several stone benches--had the weather been cool enough, I would have sat outside to wait. James rang me up in the bay (outside the waiting room) just as Alfonso was wrapping up my inspection; he even emailed me my invoice, which I thought was really convenient. Zero sales pitch; I personally had to ask about pricing on brake/power steering flush ($100/$60). As I got into my truck, everybody was cheery, polite and courteous just as another slew of customers were driving in. No attitudes, just straight professionalism. After a bad experience years ago where my oil level was low when I got home, I swore I'd never go back. My son took his vehicle there the day before we were making a 1200 mile trip for my grandfather's funeral, and I regret not being clear about not taking his vehicle to Valvoline. About 11 hours into our trip, with the intent of having 3 of us rotate and drive all night, the vehicle broke down with our 3 dogs in the middle of Missouri. We had to get a tow ($90) at 11pm to a nearby Ford dealer and pet friendly hotel ($150), and wait until morning for Ford do diagnose the problem. It turned out to be damage to the mass airflow sensor caused by debris breaking through the air filter, which should have been changed by Valvoline. To top it off, the front tires of his front wheel drive vehicle were excessively worn on the insides, with steel belts showing, which were missed during the inspection with the oil change. That was another seven bills ($700) repair between the sensor, new air filter, and two new tires. After getting back to TX and speaking with them about the problem, they offered me a couple free oil changes. I declined, since I will never trust them with a vehicle again in my life. It cost me almost $1000 and they want to give me a couple free oil changes? Come on. Try Kwik Kar. They catch things, make you aware of them, but don't try to oversell you on everything that doesn't really need to be done at the moment. read more

I went there for a simple oil change. Then they tell me I should change my air filter, so I agreed. They finished my car in less than 40 min. I was going home and out of nowhere I heard this horrible noise in my motor and my car started shaking pretty bad. I took it back to Valvoline to ask them to check bc my car did not have that noise before. The min I got my car in a mechanic noticed the noise. He checked and washed his hands right away telling me they only changed the oil and filter and it was "unfortunate" this happened after I took my car there... he advised me to take it to the mechanic. I go to the mechanic (that I've been going to for yrs) afraid of how bad my car is shaking. My mechanic opens the hood and right away tells me it's something w the AC. Then he inspect my motor and tells me someone leaned so hard on the fan that they broke it n I will need to replace the fan fast or it might damage the radiator due to how bad it is shaking... almost $500 to fix it. It's hard to find a place that doesn't try to up sale you or add on to what you're already having done. It's no big surprise that until my light comes on or I look at my sticker ...I don't know much about what my car needs and Gabby has always been SUPER helpful and honest with me about what my car needs and when. She makes me feel very comfortable whenever I go in ...knowing that I'm not going to be pushed to add on things I'm not sure if I need or not.
