After $2,834.90 in repairs, 9 separate visits to now 3 different firestone locations, 6 failed repair attempts for the same issue, 2 breakdowns requiring tows, 2 visits to other locations for supplemental help, a month of on and off being without a car, this 2014 Kia soul still isn't fixed for what should have been a simple catalytic converter repair. If the catalytic converter had been replaced, both halves with OEM kia parts the first time around without replacing other parts just to have the exact same issue persist with needless expensive repairs, we would not be here today. After 6 visits and 4 failed repair attempts at another location in Garland, a 2014 Kia Soul was towed here for catalytic converter issues after having major acceleration and engine shaking issues on July 9th. (Invoice 153160). It was the closest location to the breakdown so it just made sense. My girlfriend who had the breakdown spoke with Marcus and he said if the car could be towed there, they would look at it and warranty the faulty parts. Spoke with Jason on July 11th. They said they found no issues, they drove it around the block a few times, ran a computerized test on the car, and cleared the check engine light. HELLO?!?!?! The car had to be towed there. The car didn't magically resurrect itself. If it was a clogged catalytic converter, you may not have issues until down the road when the engine gets hot. We pick up the car and sure enough, 30 minutes later acceleration issues, and we are back to square 1 need a tow. How can a mechanic be that dumb to not understand basic logic that the car HAD TO BE TOWED THERE??? There must be something wrong with it. Look a little deeper. Taking the car to another mechanic verified that both sides of the catalytic converter were clogged, causing the issue. My girlfriend's experience alone has ensured i have not and will never take my car to firestone. This is unbelievable! read more

WARNING! I brought my car in with a screw in the tire (not close to the sidewall) and the desk manager tells me the it cannot be patched and the tire needs to be replaced. Fortunately, my tire size was not in stock and I suspected this was not right. I took my car to Costco and tire was patched - no problem. No trust! read more

WARNING to all friends and consumers: BEWARE OF USING FIRESTONE FOR VEHICLE REPAIRS. My vehicle began to overheat so I pulled into the closest auto mechanics shop which was Firestone: 695 TX-121, Coppell TX. They called me later advising the "head gasket" had blown on the engine and the repair would be $6,500. I had my vehicle towed to a different mechanics shop and their evaluation determined the "radiator cap" had failed and the problem was not the "head gasket". FIRESTONE attempted to fraudulently rip me off and will likely do the same to you. AVOID them if you care about your vehicle or your money. read more

The A/C depleted in my 2020 Honda civic a few days ago in triple-digit heat. Even though the car needed a more expensive brand of Freon, Firestone got it done 3 days early and for 1/2 the quoted price. I have used Firestone in the past for auto repair, and I will be using them again in the future. read more

I brought my car in for an oil change and when I picked it up it was in limp home (diagnosed later) mode No one there at the time could figure it out. Returned it later to have their lead technician look at it. Kept it several days with no answer. Took it to a shop in Grapevine and had an answer and had it fixed in hours. They had blown a fuse. They couldn't have figured that out? I don't think they ever looked at it the second time. I think they just kept it a few day to give the appearance that they were checking it out. To be fair other Firestones have done good work for me So I recommend that you do not visit this location.Ever read more

Great customer service @ this location! I had the pleasure of working with Rick and Jason for the past couple of days trying to get a few tires ordered and put on my vehicle. They were also able to diagnose and correct an issue I overlooked initially. I was then notified of some different pricing options and promotional savings that would make my bill a little cheaper. It is a rarity for an automotive business practice to be upfront and honest with customers to help them save money on repairs/replacements so it does not go unnoticed or unappreciated. Just brought my car here and just like every other location they RIP you off. Came here for oil change And they have charge me $10 for A care package that I did not request. It would have been different if they actually check my car out instead of slapping some words on a piece of paper. I specifically asked the service advisor Brian if they topped All of my fluids and he said yes. The very first thing I check is my washing fluid and it's empty just as I dropped it off. Stopped in for an oil change this morning. I was promptly greeted upon my arrival and was set up pretty quickly. I needed to wait on my car. I found the waiting area to be comfortable. There was a few seats, a tv, restroom, free coffee and water. Nothing fancy but certainly adequate and accommodating. They do not take appointments here which honestly isn't a big deal. My experience has been that the appointments aren't generally really kept anyway simply based on the nature of the business. I find customer service to be more important than being able to make appointments. I was in and out within the hour. Definitely slower than a quick lube type of place but this is where I have to have my company vehicle serviced so with that, I can appreciate the service that was provided here and will return in the future. read more

I have purchased my last 3 sets of tires from Firestone. Stopped by today because my tire light came on...just needed someone to take a look. I had about an hour but I was told they couldn't look at it until 4pm. There is no customer service any longer at this location. I'm assuming it's a nail or screw and fairly simple to fix. Terrible and rude. Instead of here, go to the Firestone at 2704 Flower Mound Rd. This awful Coppell location didn't keep promises, didn't fix the real problem, and told me to F off when I didn't like it. The Flower Mound location is superior and made everything better. read more

Preface This review is for Firestone's car repair services ONLY. This is by no means a reflection of my opinions of their services for tire installations, oil changes, alignments, etc. Update I'm going to have to update my review after getting a diagnosis from a second and third opinion. My tires were completely fine. Additionally, Firestone had suggested I replace both the front and rear rotors due to a squeaking sound from my brakes. The rotor replacement would have cost me a pretty penny (~$700 to be exact). After consulting with my boyfriend and the internet, I was shocked that they didn't recommend shaving down / smoothing the existing rotor, the typical remediation whenever rotors are warped. Complete, new replacements are rarely the first solution. I'm very glad to have gotten a separate opinion as I found out only the front rotor was truly warped and the brakes were only squeaking due to the after-market parts that Firestone had used when they installed my brake pads from a previous visit. Admittedly, the separate service shop said the brake pads were perfectly new but the chemical composition of the pads were causing the squeaking. When it was all said and done, the other shop completed my brake work (complete front and rear rotor shavings with brake pad replacements) for only $400, a savings that I greatly accepted and has even more diminished my confidence in this Firestone's ability to properly diagnose and repair my car. read more

Had a tire tread separation on 121 on a Sunday while driving from Austin to Lewisville to Fredericksburg and back. Had a tough time finding an open tire shop, but these guys popped on my radar. The folks here replaced and aligned my tires and got me back on the road within an hour. Did not overcharge, though manager on duty was pretty concerned with how the Cowboys game was going (otherwise no-nonsense). All in all, felt like these folks were straight shooters - little fuss, and back on the road I went. read more

Ladies beware; I made an appt for an Oil Change and asked to have the air in my tires checked, because I had two warning lights on. When I picked up my car, I noticed that my warning and low tire pressure lights were still on, when I asked the Firestone tech if they checked my tire pressure, I was told they aired up my tires and that the warning light were not related to the tire pressure (I knew that was not true). I immediately went 3-4 miles up the road to Discount tire and their technician checked my tires and three of my tires were low and needed air and the warning lights went off almost immediately when I started driving. I waited overnight and Discount tire rechecked my tires in the morning and my tire pressure was still good, meaning I didn't have a slow leak. So Firestone lied about checking or putting air in my tires, if they lied about my tires what else didn't they do or lied about. I will not use the firestone Coppell location again. read more

Wish I could give them ZERO STARS... called ahead of time to make sure I could make it in time and once I got there I had to wait in the lobby 14 minutes before anyone came out to greet me. When the lady did come out she was wearing AirPods and and said "nope. Not today " when I asked for the oil change, stating " we're closing soon,". They still had 30 minutes before they closed and I knew I would be getting there around that time hence the call ahead of time...wish they wouldn't have made me wait 14 minutes for a "nope " .. Also wish they would've just said that over the phone instead of wasting my time and Gas.. RECOMMEND "Take 5 oil change" up the road read more

Stopped in today, had a small nail in the tire. I already had one tire company tell me it was not repairable which would have cost me a bunch given I'm driving on Pirellis. Next thing I know my tire is fixed and they would not take any payment. Said they were happy to help. These days this level of honesty and service is rare. There's a lady that works in the front now since the previous men tired. She needs to learn customer service or just learn to treat Asians the same as white or Mexican people. You can see her perk up if someone other than an Asian flirts with her. I saw her interact with an Asian man and roll her eyes. My mom and I were there and she didn't care to make sure we're not waiting there longer than we should have. I had to prompt her to see how long it would take and that was an hr in already. She went to go check with a mechanic and came back telling me he's almost don't w his previous job. About 10 minutes later they took my car in. Hadn't I prompted her, I'm sure I'd be waiting at least two hours there. I went in for a simple alignment. And walk-ins take priority ahead of drop offs. It should have been a shorter wait. Fast forward to two weeks later, my mom goes in to change her backlight. She wait a while and until she promoted the lady in the front to see what the wait was, the lady said she didn't have the parts for my moms car. Right then and there she called to get it delivered. What I want to know is why she was just sitting there and not fast tracking it. read more

I am from out of town...I hit a highway barrier at a tollbooth and really messed up the alignment on my Tahoe. Jason and his team spent all day working on it and it turns out that I bent part of my lift kit...they explained my options and I decided to have it trailered back to OKC. They made some adjustments that would allow me to get to Denton where my friends could pick up my car and avoid the traffic. They were outstanding - Highly recommended! read more

Shady as heck. My car has less than 40K miles on it and I just got new tires about a year ago. Went in for a tire plug today and they told me my tread on my tires was worn down and tried to sell me a whole set of tires for over $700. AND, one of my back brake lights was out and they wanted $48 for labor to change the bulb because "it's hard to get to." Said no thanks, brought it home, and my husband was able to do it in about 1 minute. Never again. read more

Worst service ever! The manager is very cocky and has no customer service skills! Went in for a tire rotation and left the car for several hours but later found out that they didn't rotate the tires. One or two occasions me and the wife talked to the manager and received a very bad attitude. We were asked to plan better, etc. He never was concerned with how they missed rotating the tires. Very disappointing. Wouldn't recommend using this location. read more

I just hate that when my car first broke down they partial fixed it for 2,800. Then it wouldn't start the next day. K didn't say make it drivable, I said fix it. I brought it to good year and they changed the transmission and alternator and battery. Then a month later it stopped working again. Good year said it was my coilpak and Firestone I needed a new engine and I feel that they lied because I basically paid for a tune up. Brought it to good year they said it was the coilpak for $800 I found a mechanic in Grand Prairie and my car feels brand new for $215. read more

The guys at this location are honest and detailed. They took care of me promptly and gave me several options to take care of my problem.
