I've visited a few other Valvoline's before but the customer service I experienced was top notch at this location. Aodhan let me know about a cap under my hood he noticed was broken not because they could fix it, but just to make me aware. He offered all the standard add-ons with no pressure and even showed my girlfriend and I how you access the cabin air filter ourselves in the future. Took my car in for an oil change with a $25 coupon and thank goodness because the oil change was $100, which I think extremely unreasonable. Beyond that I asked them to check the tire pressure and they said 'we can't get the caps off' so no dice. I told them I had just had my tires replaced and they must've screwed them on too tight and they said they would have to use pliers to get them off but WON'T, for fear the tire stem was just going to come right off with the cap. I told them well I'm going to have to use pliers on them when I get back home anyway. 'Nope, can't do it'. I'm no expert.... But seriously what idiot would turn a cap so hard, they'd rip or tear off a tire stem? I seriously went home, barely put any pressure, and all the caps easily came off. Now I have to make a second trip somewhere, pay for air, and fill my low tire. Don't expect anything extra here for your $100 oil change. Won't ever be back. read more

I went yesterday for an oil change. I pulled into the bay. "We do not have the right synthetic oil for this car." At an oil change place? OK. They said they were expecting some today. I called first. Yes, we have right oil. Went to the Lynn location AGAIN. 3rd bay - watched as a stream of other cars moved through while I waited behind another car that, apparently, was overheating. After 45 minutes, I was told to pull into the 2nd bay. I waited another 10 minutes. Pulled in. No oil. I told them I HAD CALLED! Response: the guys that answer the phone are in Kentucky and don't know. Then get them OFF THE PHONE! Over an hour wasted. I will NEVER use Valvoline. I will make an appointment so I know I will get the job done. Christ. See ridiculous response below. It is NOT a supply chain issue. It is a COMPETENCE issue. Horrible service, i told them first just do an oil change nothing else, then they go to check my air filter, please stop, they went to check my tire pressure , please stop, then my wipers please stop wtf I said please just change my oil THAT'S IT NOTHING ELSE! I have a white truck, they did change my oil but after I left and got out of the truck there were black glove marks and prints all over my truck wtf, so my issue is if u can't even pay attention to detail then why do it? Major props to chicks who know about cars. I'm definitely not one of them. But, the nice young lady who did my oil change was! This was definitely a first, and I loved it! There was also another woman there who rang me up, and she was knowledgeable as well. She went over all the recommended services for my car, but didn't try to sell me anything (very much appreciated, btw). I also had a coupon for my oil change, which they gladly accepted (you can sign up on their website to receive coupons in the mail, and I also find some in the Val-U pack sometimes also). The truck needed some basic maintenance which was done fast and efficient! Aside from that while there a separate employee who wasn't working on my vehicle noticed the bangs that has plagued me for 5+ years. I was in the neighborhood and went to Yelp to check out the reviews for a quick oil change and spotted this Valvoline station. I'm used to Valvoline oil changes because they are so convenient and fast and usually never have to wait. Today was no different I pulled up they open up the gate I was the only one to do a full inspection ask me some questions and I'm on my way. I understand that these Valvoline Oil Change stations are a lot more pricier than a traditional oil change anywhere else but you cannot put a price on convenience. Visited yesterday for my first oil change at this location and will definitely be back. As a young woman, I am consistently treated like I don't know anything about my car and told everything is broken and I need to spend $500 to fix it. Thankfully, this was not the case here. They completed my oil change and did a little upselling, but nothing more than the usual. It was pretty expensive for an oil change (conventional), at $41, but it seems like they always have coupons out there. They were also very friendly and funny. I had contacted a few places earlier for a battery and they were sold out. I happened to reach Terry on the phone to check their availability. To my surprise, he was incredibly helpful, happy & even cracked some jokes. I found out that this wasn't the closest location to me but decided to come anyway because of how pleasant he was. I'm 8 months pregnant with a battery that didn't start 3x this week, it was important that I got it replaced. Terry set it aside when I spoke with him on the phone and it was super easy getting it replaced when I got there (the girl even knew to expect me so he had communicated my info which is awesome). I also used a coupon from their website and got my oil changed. It was such a crazy busy day for them but the woman helping me and Terry were nothing short of wonderful. I have been going to this location on and off for years. Yes they are priced higher than others and trying to push unnecessary items but until today they have always been pleasant. I went in to get a regular oil change and everything is like normal until the guy says my air filter needs replacing. I ask how much, $25 he replies. No thanks I'll do it myself. From that point that particular guy had nothing but attitude. Even when he finalized my order and I paid, I say have a good day and thanks. I get a dirty look and he walked away. The bad reviews seem to be from a few years ago, so probably staff has changed. Will never give them my business again. Just under $70 for an oil change. The lowest oil change which was recommended by my manufacture was somehow not allowed by their system to be used. Was told they were not going to check my air filter because they would have to open two other compartments to get at it. Also found it funny that they said they filled my washer fluid up when I did it myself yesterday and didn't use the car. They made me sit in the car with the window down and then the technician went and helped another technician, not me. This is supposed to be instant. It isn't.
