I took my truck in for 20k service and requested oil change and fuel filter change. I told my advisor that I purchased the Maintenance plan from this dealership. He said it didn't cover fuel filter replacement. I thought that was the definition of maintenance. I told him to replace it anyhow because it was needed. He asked if I wanted to wait an hour for it. I said I would leave it and be back. 21/2 hours later I called to see if they would be done soon and was told they were "wrapping it up". When I got there my service advisor said the truck wasn't ready and I shouldn't have been told it was. After another 30 minutes, good thing I didn't wait the whole time, they brought my invoice up and my service advisor went to get the truck. I could see I had not been charged for Fuel filter replacement and asked if had been done. I was told that it was done. When I was driving home my service light for fuel filter came on again. I called to confirm that that service had been done with the service manager. I left two messages and have not received any contact. I YouTubed hoe to change the filter and did it myself. They didn't even acknowledge the fact that when I called the day before to schedule my appointment I come in the day after at 7:15 which is the time I had scheduled it. They did not have me in the system whatsoever. I should've learned from my first experience. I ended up going to Liberty GMC in Peoria, and they took care of me in just a few hours. When I arrived on Friday I was greeted promptly and Jacob took my list of issues that I wanted them to look into. He was very upset front about likely needing the car to stay until Monday (there were seven things on the list!) and explained why he would need it that full time. He had a full quote to me by midday Friday with easy to navigate options for selecting which services I wanted them to complete. The car was done by 3pm on Monday and pickup was easy! We will NEVER step foot back on a "Van" dealership again and will make sure to tell everyone we know about our extremely rude and negative experience. Communication. Their communication is one of the worst I have experienced. For example. I bought a Truck, no problem, my sales manager Jesse Maron was hands down the most helpful. But I have been trying to get a bill of sale for over 2 months. Phone call after phone call, message after message, promise to get one out unfulfilled. I could write a book about how awful my experience has been here. I bought out my leased Buick Encore in June. They asked if I wanted to certify my vehicle, said it came with two years free oil changes. I was looking for extended warranty on my car, so I said yes. However, they failed to tell me that certification would cost me a whopping $998. They didn't even give me an invoice for it, they just tagged it on to the purchase of the vehicle. I did buy the extended warranty, $3,500 because my research indicated that transmission's tend to fail on these cars. That aside, I finally go to get my oil change and I was told that I wasn't covered! I leave to dispute it. Service tech, Eric, calls me back to say that I actually get two free oil changes. He try's to sell me the air filters, I declined. He sends me to waiting area with these exact words, we're not a quickie lube place, be ready to wait at least an hour and a half. I finally get my car, yes, almost two hours later. He snickers and says be ready to pay at least $1,500 next service because it will be due. I say I won't do it there. He tries to scare me saying that if it isn't done right they could damage my engine. I say after purchasing the very expensive warranty I can't afford large service now. He said, Pay me now or pay me later! This is the customer service you get here. Getting the warm and fuzzies yet? It ain't over. He says keys are in the cup holder, I can leave. I leave, driving down the street, I can't find my keys! I call, turn the car around, we look everywhere for the damn keys. Where were they? On the WINDSHIELD! Walked in to the parts desk needing a new replacement key. They 1 had in Stock - purchased it right away. I was told to go to the service area to have the dealer program it. So I did just that, I asked if I should make an appointment or just roll my terrain up. They asked for what type of service. Told them to program a new key I just purchased. Their quick and friendly response were steps on how to do it myself in the parking lot. I did what they told me and within a minute - I programmed my new key fob. AVOID VAN GMC, AVOID BAHA AND ARIEL. Had a decent sales experience with Richie, nice guy and seemed to actually care about us. We bought a used car that had a little damage to it. When we agreed to buy it, the sales manager Baha and the finance person Ariel both agreed that they would fix all the damage. We signed a paper that stated what was to be fixed, and I made the mistake of assuming they were good people and weren't trying to hustle me. Huge mistake. After 6 days, my car was ready. I got there and only half of the work was done. The front bumper has really bad scratches, and that was the main issue that we agreed would be fixed. Well it ended up being more work than they anticipated. Mr. Baha realized how expensive it would be, and then decided to bail on his promise. He instead gave me a "touch up paint" kit and said that's all the paper we signed called for. I even made Ariel look me in the eye and tell me she didn't agree to fix the bumper, and she had no issue lying straight to my face (in her defense, I'm sure she was coached well on this). I have no way to force them to fix it now, but I definitely understand why they have 1-2 stars and have so many terrible reviews. Avoid Van GMC, and if you can't, at least avoid doing business with Baha in sales or Ariel in finance. Sleezy, bad business. The only good news is that karma is undefeated. read more

Spent $600 on my 2019 vehicle for new battery and some fuse for starter. Leave with my vehicle and then I start getting a message about my steering assist. Tried to get a hold of Service Manager to see how I can get this resolved and never get a call from anyone. I made an appointment online instead of calling thinking that would help but I was wrong. I brought my vehicle in Friday morning at 8am. They didn't look at my truck till Monday morning. I was without a vehicle for entire weekend for something that took 10 minutes to fix. I purchased a truck from this dealer a little over 2 years ago. Since then, they have repeatedly called me to try to gin up another sale. "Do you want to sell us your truck." "Do you want to come in a look at another vehicle." Every time they call, I ask them to take me off their call list and to never call me again. Yet, the calls keep coming. Just tonight, a call came during the dinner hour. It's really beyond belief. Do they really think I will ever set foot in this dealership again? Other dealers call, I know, but they (at least in my experience) stop calling when asked. I think this dealership is so poorly run that they can't figure out that having your sales people call former customers on slow nights actually will cost you sales and goodwill. I bought a 2022 Yukon Denali in December of 2021. The dealer delivered my suv without the parts that were advertised on my window sticker. I was ok with waiting for them due to Covid and the parts shortage. However it's been well over a year and I still don't have my parts. Working with them to get my parts has been a horrible experience. After many phone calls and text messages I was finally able to get my rims and blackout package. I'm still missing quite a bit of other parts. On June 19th 2023 I was told the rest came in to go ahead and take my suv in. I get to the dealer and they got me in right away. Two hours later they brought it back without anything done to it. I'm still missing my parts. I expressed serious concerns about how this whole situation was being handled but could not even get one manager to call me back to resolve this. I live a far ways from the dealership I hate writing negative reviews but I hope this will save the next person some headaches. I've bought a car from many dealers but this one by far has the worst costumer service. I bought a GMC Canyon which was "in transit" via rail and was told it be available at the end of December. I purchased it on December 26th. Seemed okay to wait 4 or 5 days. That said, as of January 12th, I still don't have the car 17 days later with no expectation on when it will be here. They told me it was sitting at the rail yard in Phoenix. It's clearly a breakdown in communication between GM, their transportation vendor, and the dealership. I am only told it is due to conditions outside of their control with no concessions on the dealer's part and poor communication. Their contract states "we aren't liable for failure to deliver or delay in delivering the vehicle where such failure or delay is due, in whole or in part, to any cause beyond our control or without our fault or negligence." Hugely frustrating to buy a truck, being told it would be available in a few days, and still not have it nearly three weeks later; there is no excuse for what seems incredibly like a bait and switch, absolutely poor setting of expectations, and bad follow up and communication. Conveniently, I don't have any recourse (and I understand why they shouldn't have liability in some cases). Bottom line, if I knew this was going to happen, I'd have gone elsewhere to buy a truck and certainly don't plan on returning. read more

If I could give this zero stars I would. I am currently traveling across the country from New York and urgently needed an oil change for my truck. I called days in advance and booked the first available appointment at 8 AM for today. I drove 45 minutes to get here from where we were staying and they told me the oil change, which I booked for 8 AM because they said that was the first available when I called, would take five hours and I would have to wait that long. I thought the whole purpose of booking the first available appointment was so that you're not waiting there all day but the person's response to me was "oh that's the problem with the call-center - if you look behind you all of these people have 8 AM appointments" and he pointed to a row about 10 cars. Completely unprofessional and a waste of my 1.5 hours of travel time and the cost of fuel in my truck. Give your money to another business, these guys don't deserve it. read more

He was professional, courteous and really did give us a fair deal. Also, he has always been available by phone to help and answer any questions. My husband and I went in on June 4th to trade in my vehicle. I chose a 2013 GMC Yukon that hadn't yet been through reconditioning. Upon looking at the vehicle closely, it was obvious it needed new tires and that the tires had never been rotated (all of the wear was on one side of each tire). Jesus, our salesman KNEW this was an issue for me as I brought it up multiple times. As we were looking at the vehicle out front, Jesus came out, where no one could hear him, and said to me and my husband "we aren't going to let you leave without new tires". Come to find out, he only said this to make the sale. I took it to my mechanic, only to find out that the alternator was bad (they likely reset the code), the fluids (power steering, brake, and transmission) are all black and need to be changed and that in fact, my tires DID NOT meet state specifications for sale. After dealing with Gabe, the "Sales Manager" and him telling me they "WOULD ABSOLUTELY NOT" be fixing anything, I took it to the GM of Van. Gabe also told me the warranty I purchased was not valid until 30 days AFTER buying the vehicle, I called the warranty company, FLAT OUT LIE, it takes effect upon taking delivery of the vehicle. I was also sold a lower tier warranty than what was presented to me. I was presented a brochure for a Silver tier warranty, and come to find out after contacting the warranty company, they sold me a Bronze Tier. After fighting with them, they agreed to allow my mechanic to replace the alternator, and he did. However, when the issue was pushed about the tires, I never received a response from the GM, Bryan. They also refused to change the fluids. My husband currently has my vehicle at Discount Tire having all new tires put on, the manager at Discount said that there was ZERO tread left on the tires, and that on two of the tires, secondary rubber was showing. Per HB2160 in the State of Arizona, you CANNOT drive on worn tires. So this dealership violated the law by SELLING and allowing a consumer to drive off the lot in unsafe tires. This dealership is disgusting and couldn't care less about their customers. I will NEVER recommend them to anyone ever. If you are looking for a used vehicle, look elsewhere, this dealership is slimy and scummy. read more

Avoid this dealer like the plague, they have a sales person by the name of Sean who is the epitome of the slimy salesman you try avoid. He comes off as a decent person but it's a sham. Went in to purchase a Yukon, we negotiated the price of the vehicle minus the dealer mark-up and the dollar amount we needed to make the deal happen. So with the old back an fourth we can to an agreement, had us sign the pencil sheet. Discussed what add-ons which was paint protectant. Were told they could hold car, because we wanted to put cash down on top of trade-in. So we agreed to put 10k down and financed the balance. We never saw the pencil sheet again an assumed everything was the as discussed. Went to finance person and his main focus was to get us to purchase extended warranty which I felt a distraction after declining numerous times. Not to use this as an excuse we signed without noticing the change in the numbers until I was on my banking site to see if they payed out the loan on the old car that I started to look deeper. To the tune of a 17k mark up which looking deeper I found that the dealer mark-up was not remove, the trade-in number went down by $4500, and on top of that they added $2700 in dealer add-ones that included item this slim bag said he was taking care of. Called the sales person with no response, talked to sales managers that never called back except fr Tom who text a picture of the pencil sheet that sales puts together for finance. This where we saw all the edits from the one we signed and the dealer add-ones, one of which we charged for was never done. We even got charged for filling the tires that was part of the vehicle package. read more

UNETHICAL BUSINESS!! I had a horrible experience at Van Buick/GMC on December 3rd, 2017. If I could give less than 1 star I would. I was brought in after dealing with a sales rep, who will remain anonymous since she was new and didn't know any better, and was told to sit down while her finance manager ran my credit for approval. Now I had already sent in an online credit app so that should've been completed already. She came back over and stated I got approved and proceeded to hand write my down payment, monthly payments then drew a line at the bottom for me to sign. First red flag. They took me into another sales reps office (Joshua Malloy) and I asked him how they came to those numbers and if I could see an invoice and my rating that they got from my credit app. He seemed stunned and didn't know what to do. He said, "let me speak with my manager" and walked out. He came back and said, "My manager said there is no print out of your credit approval". I then asked him to give me the invoice then ask his manager again how he got my rating and to show me on the computer if there is no print out. He then walked out again for about 5 min. He finally came back with a typed out break down of what they were trying to get me to pay. I asked again for the actual invoice and my credit approval. (Little did they know I was an Internet Sales Manager for a GM dealership back in GA so I knew what to ask for. I also had a good friend on standby, who is a finance manager for GM as well, ready to pull the necessary info on this particular vehicle to make sure they were offering the correct incentives since I was a Coscto auto member as well.) He walked back out and finally came back with an invoice. I also asked for the VIN so my friend could get the info for me. I send her the VIN number to look up this particular vehicle. As I am waiting to hear back from my friend Mr. Malloy is staring me down, as if to intimidate me with his small stature, then says, "I don't know why you're being so difficult this is a great rate, you're barely even leasable with your credit score." UNBELIEVABLE how rude this little man was!! After my friend looked up the vehicle along with invoice she immediately told me that they had marked up the pricing (well above Costco pricing which they are required to give) and also were giving me an incorrect rate. By this time I asked for the finance manager to come in (last name Nejad) with my credit approval. He came in and I asked how he decided this was the correct rate and he simply said, "That is what you are approved for". I then asked him to see my approval AGAIN. He said he didn't have it. I had my friend on the phone at this point and she told him that with every credit app she runs there is always a printout showing the rate so why can't he provide it?" He then says, "I've done this hundreds of times before, I know what her rate will be so she needs to just go ahead and fill out the paperwork". I then ask to speak to his manager and he said, "I am the manager. I run this place." I said, "Oh so you're the GM?" He was then silent. I said, "I want to talk to the GM right now if you are not going to run my credit and show me my correct rating." He then leaves to FINALLY run my credit (which, come to find out, he had never done in the first place and was pulling his rate out of thin air) but by that point I was appalled at how I was being treated and told a good friend of mine, who is the owner of several GM dealerships in the south, and he said, "Absolutely not. Get out of there right now, I will get a more reputable dealership out there to help you out." After leaving I immediately get a condescending text message from the Josh Malloy and to this day I STILL get calls from this dealership. I will NEVER do business with this shady and unethical dealership ever again. They lost a laydown of a deal and a loyal customer. All they had to do was be transparent. read more

My most recent vehicle is a 2016 Yukon Denali which I purchased from Earnhardt GMC (far from where I live) because Van couldn't find me the exact truck I wanted. So.... today I called Van to schedule my 30k mike service and have a few issues checked out. I was told that it could take a few days. So I replied "ok as long as I can get a loaner". I was told a loaner couldn't be guaranteed and that I should reserve myself a rental as a backup. Seriously!? I spend $60k+ on a truck and I have to rent a car when it's in your shop for warranty work!? So I decided to call Earnhardt CADILLAC since they are in my area. No problem. They offered to do all my warranty work AND offer me a loaner even though my truck isn't even a Cadillac. read more

SERVICE DEPT: Why do I pay a different price every time I get an oil change for the same car? Where this last time was outrageous, $103.00! The most charged by far!!! Thank God I had my paperwork to show the guy I never paid that much EVER! He told me he would charge me what they charged me last time because it was their mistake but next time I come to get an oil change I will be paying the regular price of $103.00. Like he is doing me a favor!? Is this guy nuts? Then after he asked me if I wanted my coolant line flushed, I told him NO. When I went to pick up my car, he flushed it anyway!! Unauthorized work was performed on my vehicle. I didn't raise hell at the time for the unauthorized work. When I asked him about it he just sat there with a blank look on his face. I should have raised hell but I was too tired. Lastly, my car was being kept from Friday to Monday and I was not offered a loaner. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had at any auto shop. I am disappointed and upset. FYI, I have been going to this dealership since 2017.
