Oliver is incredibly RUDE and single-handedly the reason I decided NOT to make a purchase from this store. This would've been my FIRST purchase of VCA jewelry which I told him, so this experience was going to be very special for me. I planned on purchasing the Alhambra yellow gold bracelet and pendant. Oliver's demeanor over the phone was so off-putting, rushed and rude, I have decided to wait months if need be to make my purchases. I would not expect this kind of treatment from a person working at a luxury jewelry brand. The customer service needs a major improvement. Just came into the BeHi store yesterday and LUV LUV their delicately feminine, classic, timeless, iconic Magic Alhambra collection!$!$$$ It can get really costly since the 10 motif Magic Alhambra necklace is $7400 + tax. The stunning matching drop earrings with 2 motifs are $6350. The 3 motifs earrings are $7850, absurdly stunning! :-) I thought I liked the Magic Vintage Alhambra black onyx motif more than the white pearlescent oyster (mother of pearl), but when I tried it on again, the mother of pearl was most flattering against my skin tone and dark hair. And possibly a little more versatile on complimenting my wardrobe too. So I guess it all depends? Annie was so friendly and delightful. She offered me sparkling water with a beautifully presented chocolate in the box, such refined touches... I want to buy nearly every piece in their store because they are so beautifully polished, dainty with an elegant distinctive craftsmanship. The simple Vintage Alhambra ring was delicately beautiful for $3200. There are many lovely difficult choices, but you can always slowly build up the collection? Granted, I am not the right customer for that store. I care not for shiny trinkets. I do care for perfume though, of which house van Cleef has a respectable line. Alas, although the store carries fragrances, it is not what they are about - a priority to focus on the client seeking gold and effulgent what-have-you which I have noticed at Cartier and Chanel boutiques as well, and which makes commercial sense but left me to be treated rather cursorily. After being pointed to where the testers were, and spending a moment alone trying a few interesting scents, I exited unnoticed. This is no criticism of the staff. It is mere acknowledgment of a mismatch. Lesson learned: for van Cleef jewelry, go to the van Cleef shop. For their perfumes, go to Neiman Marcus (and be sure to try Bois d'iris). read more

What an unpleasant experience I had today!! A sales lady named Zilya should not be working at a high end shop like VCA. When I asked her to clean my diamond necklace, she was very rude and arrogant to begin with, and then demanded to present a receipt for the product. Are you kidding me?? Who carries receipts from years ago??? It is their crazy new policy according to her. VCA, learn from Tiffany and Cartier for their impeccable services. You just want customers to spend $$$ but do not provide high end services that your customers deserve?? Plus hiring a low caliber sales person was a huge disappointment. We came here yesterday to adjust a bracelet that I bought recently for my wife in a rainy day but the staff told us that they couldn't do anything without appointment. So they scheduled a 4pm appointment today for a five mins work to measure my wife wrist. Today, the rain was worse but we were able to arrive at 3:55 to catch our 4p appointment. However the staff said they were closing at 4p so they couldnt serve us and we needed to reschedule again. My wife was so mad and told the staff that we would never come again. It is funny that the staff claimed she had called us at 3 something but we didn't pick up her call. If the store is closing at 4p, why schedule people for 4p appointment. If you know you have messed up customer appointment, why you would find it out at the last min. We tried to call the staff back 10 mins after we missed her call and she didn't pick up the call. This type of customer service is typically worst thing ever in my life. Both days my wife and I need to come with two kids during rainy days. This is the worst retail experience I have had. read more

So I called a said I would like to make an appointment to purchase a specific diamond pair offerings and was told to come back after 2pm and I should be let in. So like an a normal person I returned around 4:45 and they told me no way you have to wait even though you made an appointment and maybe not even today. What a joke. I have spent way over200k with this company. They lost a great customer and never will i go back to this location! Vegas location is the best and not as stuck up as these people here. Several years ago, I went here to buy a ring...still have it and it was sitting in my dresser drawer collecting dust...have only worn it (maybe) a dozen times. Originally I was debating between the Cartier Love bracelet and the VCA perlee bangle, but I decided on the Love since the perlee only comes in rose gold and white gold. Even though I love rose gold, I wear a lot more yellow gold and I felt it would fit my collection better. Even though I did not get the perlee, I still wanted me some VCA in addition to purchasing a bracelet that I could layer with my Cartier Love. In hindsight, I should've gotten the all gold vintage alhambra 5 motif bracelet, but instead, I was inspired by a picture I saw online on a forum and decided to get the sweet clover bracelet in mother of pearl and 18kt yg. The clover is classic VCA and since it was my first piece, classic VCA was how I wanted to go. Unfortunately, the bracelet is a little too big for me. And since there is only one motif, it slides underneath my wrist, and while there is a second o-ring to wear tighter on the wrist, it is unfortunately too small for me. So I either have to shorten it or lengthen it. What a quandary. The sweet line looks like it was made for little girls in that it is very delicate, small, and well, the ads feature little girls wearing the line! Other than that, the service here is and always is impeccable. Unfortunately for me, since their pieces already were a little beyond my price range, their recent 23% increase has made VCA a little more out of reach. Dang you price increases! Van Cleef & Arpels you had me at hello. I have been in love with their jewelry since I was probably 15yrs old in hopes of one day owning a piece for a family heirloom. The Alhambra collection of course a timeless, classic beauty trademarked and unrivaled continues to be my favorite. Over the years, the collection has since expanded with their Magic Alhambra pieces, beautifully cascading clovers in different sizes. I treasure my amazing necklace from my husband gifted on our 10 year wedding anniversary. It was the perfect surprise and the fact I never asked for it made it priceless. He knows me so well :) One day I hope to pass it to my granddaughter as a family heirloom from generation to generation. When I visited their store off Rodeo Drive, I never felt intimidated or pressured to actually buy anything. The sales associates enjoy talking all things Van Cleef and having you try pieces on without feeling awkward. In fact, they offer champagne upon entering...whether it's for a welcome or maybe to lower inhibitions to those feeling anxiety over the prices..hey I'll take one, maybe even two. I can't even joke about it, but dangnabit, it is a beauty. Old fashioned with a modern marketing twist! There were the old times when 'oriental' items were cool and incorporated into Western Art. This luxury jeweler reminds me of that era for its European designs and language with Asian-art influenced furniture. The overall architecture reminds you of a zen garden or something like. And the tassel pull drawers. I love the shinies! More highly crafted than Tiffany's and they use really good diamonds. My favorite is the clover design. This stuff is all over the magazines, Harpers Bazaar really likes to cover it. Celebrities, yada yada yada. I just like their designs. read more

I needed a lock for my bracelet. They can't read the number on the bracelet so they can't get me the lock. When I purchased the bracelet from Van cleef boutique they told me there service is unmatched anything you need just pay now. After an accident the bracelet was found later but missing its lock. All I wanted was the lock but no deal. "New policy no one can help you" so now what? Throw the bracelet away ? If I put an aftermarket lock on it will be considered a replica. When I needed watch and jewelry serviced at Cartier or Tiffany&Co never have I had a problem. I will voice my dissatisfaction on every avenue until management understand there policy is flawed. read more

I have always wanted to walk into Van Cleef... I mean what girl doesn't like some expensive bling? The day my mom and I visited the Beverly Hills store was our first. We were blown away by the level of service, excellence and sheer beauty that we experienced!! The young woman who helped us, Deidre, made us feel so welcome and cared for. She took the time to tell us about the history of the company and even let us try on high jewelry! My favorite were the intricate peacock and butterfly broaches. Really makes you feel like royalty holding that kind of beauty. I also got to try on an $800,000 necklace. I have a new appreciation for the quality of each piece, knowing they are hand crafted and hold such history and stories. My Wish List is officially made, now I just wait for Hubby to "surprise" me! This place is awesome. If you're ever looking to drop a load of cash for beautiful wearable art then this is the place. I got my very first VCA piece here and even though I was lusting after a Sweet Alhambra pendant for years I couldn't bring myself to get one. Customer service was excellent. All of my questions were answered in detail and the SA was really sweet. When I was deciding on two pendants she was very patient with me and let me go over each one for what seemed like a good 30 minutes. In the end, I got a beautifully wrapped box with a beautiful pendant inside and a truly wonderful experience and what will be yet another place to eat my money. read more

Customer service is very poor here. I very strongly encourage you to go to South Coast or Las Vegas. Specifically, Amy Heimann is the rudest SA I've ever dealt with. I needed an adjustment to my wife's bracelet and she was (i) rude, (ii) uninformed about how the work shop makes adjustments and (iii) generally bothered by the fact that we bought the item in Las Vegas. I will never give this location my business. Also they are located in a crappy upstairs location through June 2019. If you do go in, ask for anyone other than Amy Heimann. She's is awful! read more

This is my first review on Yelp and because such a bad experience in a high end luxury store. I agree with the previous review, the sales named Zilya should not work here! We visited here for our wedding bands, she was so rude with no greetings, no introduction about the rings and not willing to help about the size. We asked about the engraving, she put wrong format without confirming with us but blamed us about we didn't say/write it clear?! Then, she corrected the words but this time input wrong font and insist that she was right. The two receipts are stated different in fonts and when we point out she still said she is right and we are wrong?! The exhibit of the Jewelry from various collections, as is the woman named Nancy who has worked there for l4 years-and did her best to engage me . The presence of guards in every nook and cranny of the store unnerved me, as they seemed to be there for the express purpose of making me feel uncomfortable! Nancy picked up on this and we were able to discuss the end of an era: buying and wearing fine jewelry is reserved basically for "BALLS" (and Oscars on this coast) but like sterling silver and everything associated with this tradition, most young people could not care less. It is sad, we agreed and when she told me about the sliver thin chopsticks which her grandmother used to use (in her native Hong Kong) and how no one could possibly eat with these today, I knew she was the real deal. The jewelry itself is gorgeous, there is no question, but you have to be able to tune out those guards and the atmosphere they 'provide.' Thanks to Nancy, i almost relaxed, but not everyone comes to B.H. and drags bags of groceries etc around with them. The pieces that once belonged to "DAME ELIZABETH TAYLOR" are exquisite and as Nancy and I agreed, she (and Richard Burton) had superior taste and pocketbooks to match. Sigh. read more

Several months ago I stop by VCA to try on the sweet alhambra clover motif. I was very exited to try it on since I had only seen it on a picture. When I enter the store a lady by the name of Amy made an attempt to help me, if that's what you call help. I ask if I could try on the bracelet so she brought it for me to try it on. Amy never explain anything about the bracelet I guess she assumed I knew the product or maybe she just didn't want to be bother. I asked her "is this 14k gold" as I try the bracelet on. Amy gave me a face as if I was stupid and said "we ONLY make 18K". I felt so horrible by the way she talked to me that I took the bracelet off and walked out of the store. I might not know much about jewelry but I am a store director for a luxury store in Los Angeles and I sure know how to give a client experience at my store when they walk in. It's so unfortunate that I didn't get to have a true experience at this store due to an associate that thinks she owns the store but she forgets she only works for them! Bought my wedding band here with Patrick assisting. Transaction went smoothly because I knew exactly what ring I wanted. They even offered to shine my engagement ring (not VC&A) for me. One star taken off because when Patrick looked at the engagement ring and guessed the number of carats, he was off by an entire 1.5 carats. Made me a little nervous to have him assisting us, not knowing what else he was clueless about. But again, if you know what you want going in, you should be fine. read more
