My Jeep have a recall the soonest appointment they were able to give me was 2 weeks.Before accepting the appointment I made sure they had the part to fix the car and I asked the operator how long they will have to the car .....the answer : maximum half a day. When I arrived for my appointment on Feb 24 2026 at 11am at the reception 4 agents were seating at their desk behind the counter ...none of them busy except one eating a large sandwich ....none of them welcomed me with a smile or hello or a "what can I do for you? " ...so to one of them I gave my name ,time of my appointment and the purpose of my visit...."I need your cell number and the key " I questioned when the car will be ready? ....."I will let you know in 4/5 days" ...I was surprised and I ask the reason..."I don't know if we have the part" I explained that when making the appointment I was confirmed that they had the part and that will take less than half a day to fix it. ...the agent doubled check with the parts department..."yes we have the part but we still need to keep the car 4/5days "....for that appointment I missed a full day of work and now not to be able to have a car for 4/5 days or more made me unhappy so I politely asked to see a manager...." I purchased a 2019 used car for $64,000 on March 15, 2025, from Van Nuys Dodge. After the second day of owning the vehicle, I reached out to the dealership about a missing latch in the trunk, which is needed for emergency access if the battery dies. I contacted my sales rep, Jason, and informed him about the missing part. He said he would check with his manager. I followed up with him last Saturday, and he told me there was no update. Today (04/02/2025), I contacted the finance manager, Justin, who helped me during my purchase. Justin spoke with the used car manager (although I've asked multiple times for their name, I still haven't received it), and he told me the part would be in by tomorrow, 04/03/2025. I even scheduled a service appointment with a real Chevy dealership, but canceled it per Jason's instructions. This is my second time buying a car from this dealership, but it will be my last. I'm concerned that if I take my car back to Van Nuys Dodge for service, they might retaliate. All I want is reimbursement for the repair I'm going to pay for myself after spending $64,000. I am not wealthy--I had to work extremely hard to get my dream car, and this is the kind of experience I'm dealing with. I took my truck in today for the maintenance it requires and also to check the recalls the truck has. I'm so unsatisfied with the customer service of this location. They had done me wrong in the past but I wanted to give them another try since its convenient location. Previously I had taken my car for service and they crashed it. Second time, they had said they would pay for the rental and never did. Now that I wanted to get my oil change and maintenance, they wanted to keep my car 10 days. I also had a coupon for this service and they said it did not qualify when it literally it does since it comes from the factory. They weren't even busy and they didn't acknowledge me as a customer. I purchased my truck from this dealership and had a great buying experience, so I had high hopes for the service department. Unfortunately, that was not the case. I brought my truck in for a recall and also mentioned a noise coming from the front end. When I called to schedule the appointment, I was told they would need the truck for five days. That seemed excessive, but I agreed. The moment I walked into the service center, I got the vibe that no one really wanted to help. There were three service writers -- only one was with a customer. The other two didn't even look up or acknowledge me. Eventually, one called me over. He told me they'd need the truck for seven days, not five, and handed me a form to sign allowing the technician to drive my truck home. That was a red flag. I have a TRX, and I keep it parked deep in my driveway because two have been stolen in my neighborhood in the past six months. On top of that, the issue I described could be diagnosed without even moving the truck -- the noise happens while it's parked, and the steering wheel is moved. I of course agreed to let them test drive it while they had it. Over the next few days, I tracked my truck and saw it hadn't been moved once. On day four, I called for an update and was told it hadn't even been looked at yet, but they would "get to it that day or the next." I never received a call. On the seventh day, the truck was still parked in the same spot. I left voicemails for both my service writer and the service manager (because it's nearly impossible to speak to someone directly) saying I'd be picking up my truck the next day. When I arrived, no one was aware I was coming. My service writer was off, and again, no one apologized for the fact that after eight days, my truck hadn't even been touched and no one had contacted me. I wasn't surprised to see another customer in a heated exchange with a different service writer. Then I waited about 40 minutes for them to bring my truck around. After reading through other one-star reviews, both recent and older, it's clear that poor service is a consistent issue here -- and unfortunately, it doesn't seem like anything is being done to change that. read more

Three years ago, we signed a lease for a car. At the time of purchase, the staff was incredibly friendly. But just three months in, the horn stopped working -- and I had a newborn in the car at the time. Imagine getting on the freeway and a truck tries to merge into your lane, and you have no horn to warn them -- with your newborn in the backseat!! A month later, the car alarm stopped working. Then the real issues began -- the car would randomly shut off while driving, or I'd press the gas and the car would shift itself into neutral and not move. When I brought it in, someone checked it and couldn't figure out why it kept getting stuck in neutral. They told me I'd have to leave it for a minimum of two weeks. I asked for a loaner, because it made no sense that I'd be left without a car -- especially a brand-new one I just got three months ago. He laughed in my face and said if I couldn't manage without a car for two weeks, I should just come back when I could. I ended up solving the issue myself by watching a YouTube video -- something their certified mechanic couldn't do. Honestly, embarrassing for them. After six months of ongoing issues with the car, I returned to the person who sold it to me. He told me there's nothing they could do -- and again offered to take the car in for a minimum of two weeks, with no replacement vehicle. I refused and kept driving the car. Now, as my lease is about to end, they won't stop harassing me with calls and emails -- it's been a nightmare! I blocked every number and email I could, and now they're calling from different numbers. Today, I went in to request my payoff quote and found out they put me on a 39-month lease instead of 36 -- something they completely misled me about at the time of signing! I clearly remember asking for a discount, and the manager, Mike, came back happily to say it was approved -- but what he actually did was extend the lease by three months without telling me! Had a phenomenal experience here. My wife was recently rear ended on her way to work one morning, and being that her car was model year 2008 with 240k miles, our insurance ended up totaling it out after we got the estimate for repairs. So we started car shopping for a new (used - new to us) vehicle to be her daily driver & work commute vehicle. I did a lot of research, and we found a 2014 BMW x3 with low miles & in great condition at the CDJR used car dealer on Van Nuys Blvd. (Note, this is not the CDJR new car dealership that's a little farther north on Van Nuys Blvd. Part of the same family of dealers, but this review is for their used car lot a farther south on Van Nuys Blvd.) My wife and I showed up there at 7pm, after a day of driving to dealerships all over and test driving vehicles, and found the sales associates at this lot to be a breath of fresh air. We dealt directly with Moises, and he was helpful, friendly, knowledgeable about the car we were there to see, and just overall seemed like a good guy. We text drove the BMW x3, liked it (my wife loved it), but we couldn't purchase at that moment because we were still waiting for the insurance payout on the totaled vehicle. We didn't want to lose the BMW to another buyer, so we put a $1,000 deposit down on my debit card, the following day.....although in retrospect we should have done it that same night, I just couldn't pull the trigger on the deposit, but after driving home, my wife and I talked about our positive experience at this dealer, and our really positive experience with Moises, and we decided that was the right vehicle (so I went back the next day & put the deposit down.) Ultimately we ended up not purchasing the vehicle because our insurance gave us an owner retained settlement offer a couple days later, and my wife and I decided to go with that option, so I returned to Keyes CDJR used cars, and had to ask for a refund of the deposit. I explained the situation to a manager, and he was extremely understanding & professional about the whole situation......the refund was issued, I got a receipt and I was in & out in about 30 minutes. A couple days later the refund showed up on my debit card, exactly as it should. Overall, it was an extremely positive used car buying experience (even though we didn't end up buying the car), and didn't have any of the weird salesman, sleazy tactics that most people associate with used car dealers. If you buy a car here, check every single number on their worksheets before you sign. When I was negotiating the deal for my Jeep on May 21st, 2026, the initial offers and interest rates they presented me were flat-out mathematically incorrect. Several times. They tried to use inflated numbers and an incorrect interest rate on the pencil sheets to trick me into a higher payment. On top of the wrong interest rate, they tried to push a "deal" where my payments would be delayed for 3 months. They pitched it as a benefit, but the math showed it was a trap designed to let simple interest rack up on the principal from day one, which would have cost me thousands of dollars extra in the long run. I had to catch these math errors and deceptive tactics myself before forcing them to print the correct numbers on the final contract. As part of the deal, I traded in my 2016 Ram 1500. Per our signed contract, Van Nuys CDJR contractually agreed to pay off the remaining $936.00 balance to my lienholder, PenFed. It has been nearly two weeks, and they have completely failed to send the check. Because of their severe administrative delay, PenFed's collections department is now actively calling me, threatening a major hit to my credit score. The transaction has already been fully funded and assigned to Capital One on the backend, meaning Van Nuys CDJR happily pocketed my trade-in and got their money from the new loan, but they are ghosting their legal obligation to clear my old title. Between trying to slide thousands in hidden interest past me at the desk to failing to pay off a simple $936 loan, this place operates with zero integrity. I called the dealership and the person in finance told me to just pay it off and the bank would pay me back. I told them it's their responsibility and the guy said this is what people usually do when this happens. This is insane. Their 'GM' does not stand by his offer. Stopped by to finalize an appraisal on my trade in from Carfax online and took a look at a RAM 2500. Test drove it and cranked some numbers. Their KBB offer was $5,000 less than what I had received but they were willing to match it. Sale price (discount) was nowhere near what a local competitor was offering ($10k difference) and we (Chase [SM?]), but agreed to part ways so that I could undercover the price at the competitor (transparency is everything) and make an informed decision. On the way back to my car I was intercepted by my salesman and said the manager wanted to speak with me for 2 minutes. I kindly refused and went along my way. I was then texted by one of the directors, Selena, with an offer from the GM a price match with the competitor (See picture), which I then agreed to. I come back a couple of hours later only to be greeted by Sagar (SM). Claiming there was a miscommunication and the best he could do is $5k difference. I explained that Selena had spoke to the GM and texted me that he would match the competitors discount. Sagar then admitted the GM doesn't work on weekends and he had his authority to make offers but would not honor mine. He said he could subtract from the price and lower my trade value or any combination of, even threatened to add $5k in addendum charges he was insistent at keeping this $5k. All this as we saw salesman try to push a sale on a family, raising his voice as more of his associates gathered around them. Sagar was clearly frustrated with the push back from me. I ended up explaining to him that I would seek further clarification with John S, the actual GM at a later date. Sales managers here use the title of General Manager loosely and speak on his behalf when he's clearly not there. This is clearly a tactic to make potential buyers feel like their offers are going to the 'top'; Sagar admitted that the GM doesn't work the weekends which may explain the lack of professionalism observed throughout. We did see several salesmen just lounging about, toying inside one of the dealers used stock escalades. Bottom line is: lack of professionalism and an agreement is such and written. Surprise surprise, I'm a little agitated at this point because I've just driven from Manhattan Beach to Van Nuys to look at a car that definitely wasn't on the lot at any point that day. Without even an apology, he starts offering other vehicles with +20k miles and a newer model Ti with reasonably low miles. I make up some excuses about wear and tear on the sunroof just to get get out. We went in for a oil change for our gran cherokee, droped it off and told us they were going to call us within 2 hours, 2 hours past we call and my car wasn't even on the shop. 4hrs later my wife call and they forgot, so they were going to do it right away. Wife pick up the car 1hr later, they didn't wash it, oil all over the engine, oil on the bumper, didn't filled up antifreeze, scratch my front windshield, and messed around with all my settings on the screen. SCAM ALERT. STAY FAR, FAR AWAY. I'M BEYOND ANGRY. This is not just a bad dealership -- this is a calculated, well-polished scam operation. DO NOT fall for their fake smiles and sweet talk. They added a $5,000 Mopar MultiCare service to my contract -- something I REPEATEDLY said I DID NOT want. And it wasn't just added secretly -- they charged me WAY ABOVE the normal market price for it. Here's their scam play-by-play: They told me I'd get a "better deal" if I financed the car. Then asked for a $5,000 down payment. I agreed, thinking the loan would subtract that. BUT when I received the final documents from the bank, I realized the loan amount DIDN'T deduct the down payment -- meaning I was paying $5,000 on top of the agreed price. That $5,000 was disguised as the Mopar service I NEVER agreed to. When I went back to cancel, they promised multiple times it was taken care of and I'd get my money back in 60 days. They even warned me not to pay off the loan early, or I might "lose the refund" -- ANOTHER LIE to keep me stuck in the loan. In reality, THEY NEVER CANCELED ANYTHING. I contacted Mopar directly -- and they confirmed the service was NEVER removed. So I didn't just lose $5,000 -- I also got stuck with massive interest charges from the bank. One month of interest alone cost me $600. This place cost me money, time, sleep, and peace of mind. THEY LIED. THEY MANIPULATED. THEY STOLE. Please -- don't let this happen to you. RUN. Don't walk.
