Inside the store - Coffee making supplies

This is a looonnggggg overdue review for Vaneli's and its most hospitable manager and coffee expert Pong. Now as I rack my brain to recall the coffee names and blends, I regret not writing sooner. Vaneli's is a coffee roaster and distributer. It is not a coffee shop, but if the store isn't too busy, Pong will generously brew you samples of coffee. Being a coffee connoisseur, he will serve each sample in a new cup to keep the flavors pure and separate. I think we tried 4 or 5 different coffees. I knew that Rocklin Donuts & Cinnamon, 105 Noshery, and Pottery World Cafe all served Vaneli's coffee, so we tried all 3 of those. Rocklin Donuts & Cinnamon: Monster Italian 105 Noshery: A blend of Italian Roast and French Roast??? Pottery World Cafe: Blend of the Opera??? Just ask the store which coffee bean your favorite restaurant uses. As we leisurely tasted our coffee, devoted customers came in, ordering 5 lb bags of their favorite coffee. One customer hooked his friends and coworkers on Classic Dark, so my best friend ended up buying that based on trust. I think that customer might have bought 15 lb of that coffee while we were there to distribute to his people! We had fun chatting with and learning from Pong and the various customers. My favorite was the Monster Italian, which is dark, sweet, and flavorful. It is also a bestseller. My friend, who prefers medium roast, liked Pottery World Cafe's coffee sample the most even though he didn't like it at the restaurant. We were told that the flavor difference may be due to the storage or age of the coffee bags. In addition, Vaneli's has won awards for its Classic Cremosa and Organic Hambela Wamena Natural. There's even a coffee named Elite Blend! You can find all sorts of coffee brewing equipment and supplies here. I bought a shot glass measuring cup to measure either 1 oz or 2 oz. Many thanks again to Pong and Vaneli's for sharing their coffee and wisdom!

we were lucky enough to discover this amazing coffee at Sutter Greek in Sutter Creek, we asked our waitress what brand of coffee they served us & we loved it, so stopped in at Vanelis & bought some, Kelly was very helpful & offered to grind our beans, the smell is so wonderful, i only wish i knew how to use those elaborate coffee makers, cant wait for our morning coffee

This place is awesome! This is a place that makes coffee beans and sells coffee making equipment. However the people that woke here are absolutely fabulous. I was looking for an aeropress for a Christmas present, and I learned much more than I even intended to. He showed me how to use the device and on top of that did 3 different types of coffee so that I could sample the difference and learn what kind of coffee I like better. I didn't get a chance to buy their coffee beans yet but the ones I sampled were great. Next time I need anything coffee related I will definitely come here.

What a great place to buy professional and 'pro-sumer' espresso machines, brewing equipment and supplies ! The General Manager, Pong, spent literally all day with me sharing his knowledge, giving me recommendations, and helping me select my new equipment. Once i made my selections, he unboxed everything....set it up, calibrated it ...and tested everything out to make sure it was all ready to go for me. He showed me how everything works and gave me a free high quality accessory kit and plenty of their award winning coffee roasts to try. They are passionate about what they do and I will definitely be back !!! There coffee is fantastic !!!

It tasted exactly like a blueberry waffle. It was a good mild flavor but did not have enough caffeine for me. A charge I didn't recognize came up on my credit card statement and so I called the number on the statement. Spoiler alert - it was SF Bay. Linda answered the phone, we had a good laugh over my forgetfulness. While I was on the line, she looked up my order and pointed out that I had a monthly recurring for one bag, which charges $6 shipping. She offered to change my order to two bags, every 8 weeks, to avoid the shipping charge. I was so grateful for her help. Taking that moment to look up my order and help me save $6 each order (which will add up over time) was such a kind thing to do. Thank you, Linda - and thank you SF Bay! For those of you still reading my novel - Due to anxiety, caffeine and I are NOT friends. However I love coffee. SF Bay Decaf is the best decaf I've ever had (and please trust me - I drank regular coffee for close to 20 years so know what it's supposed to taste like!) and it is 99.9% caffeine free. So if you want to make the switch, I highly recommend it!

Easy We had: Pour Over, Papua New Guinea and Bali (5/5): Finding a genuinely good pour over under five dollars feels almost extinct at this point. Somehow, Kingdom makes it feel normal. Both beans were clean, intentional, and actually distinct, which is the whole point of a pour over. The Papua New Guinea was smooth with soft chocolate notes, balanced and easy without feeling boring. The Bali brought more brightness with a citrus edge that gave it some energy. Two different profiles, both executed well

We pulled in excited for both food and coffee... but quickly learned this is very much a coffee-first, food-optional situation. The coffee? Pretty solid. I ordered the honey lavender latte and enjoyed it. My daughter's iced vanilla latte also passed the teen approval test. Minor head-scratcher: I ordered my latte "for here" and still got a to-go cup. Now, the food. Oof. I'd strongly recommend sticking to baked goods (I didn't try them, but guessing that would be a better option) The avocado toast was a letdown. Imagine a teeny, paper-thin, cold piece of toast topped with a small smear of avocado that tasted more "packaged" than fresh, a drizzle of balsamic glaze, two lonely feta crumbles, and a sliced hard-boiled egg... served cold... on the side. It did come with a side salad, which felt like an apology. We also ordered a croissant sandwich (ham, Swiss, and scrambled eggs), which unfortunately did not sit well with my husband. The eggs tasted like they may have come from a carton. The staff was nice, but the service model was confusing. When I'm prompted to tip at checkout and there are tables and seating, I assume some level of table service. Instead, we picked up our own coffee, food, silverware, and napkins, and at the end, we also got the honor of bussing our own plates back to the counter. Full-circle dining experience. Bonus details: - They had one single packet of hot sauce left in the entire place - The salt shaker was completely solidified (we did ask for more, but the replacement had exactly one functioning hole) * And just to keep you on your toes, the front door pushes instead of pulls. A small thing, but somehow on-brand. Bottom line: Come here if you want a custom coffee. If you're hungry, manage expectations... or honestly, stick with good old Starbucks for consistency, fewer surprises, and doors that behave.
