Came here for a Yelp event and my boys really enjoyed their cookies. Since my youngest doesn't like cake, I decided to get him a cookie cake here. Ordering online was super easy. You add you messages and colors close to the end as you are paying under the Notes section. Its such a cute little cookie shop! I went to pick it up and was greeted right away. I almost ordered more cookies but this cookie cake will be enough for a couple days. We will return again for more cookies as this place is a hit with my boys. I am on a cookie bender, so thank you to vanilla sugar! First and foremost: I did not catch the name of the worker, but what a ray of sunshine they were. One of the nicest people in the world. A glistening smile with a personality sweeter than the cookies! I got a funfetti and gooey butter, but they had a solid selection of tried and true favorites to pair with seasonal specialities. I was in the area and have been meaning to try Vanilla Sugar so I pulled in the lot. There were not spots next to the building but the lot went around two buildings in back and more parking behind. I appreciated the well painted arrows directing the right way around as it was a pretty tight space. When I got around front I could see several people inside and there were some outside, too. I went in and it was packed! It is a pretty small space and there were about 5 people waiting on coffee. Since it was my first time in, I wanted to look around so I let a newcome go ahead of me. I looked as much as I could and then went ahead and ordered. I took the last shortbread and also selected a large chocolate chip cookie. I got a bonus cake pop as they were giving them with a purchase. The counter person was nice, but it was hard to navigate and really look around with so many people. I tried the shortbread before driving away and it was really good, I know my husband will like it, too so I am sure I will be heading back for that. read more

Lindsey & Stella were so sweet & a great help getting our cookies. They have so many options to choose from, it was difficult to narrow down what we wanted! I think we got there right when some chocolate chip cookies came out of the oven & they were incredible!! They were sweet, had tons of chocolate, & were very soft. We also got the oatmeal cream pie & double chocolate chip with m&ms & both are so delicious. The bakery was easy to find & had parking on the side of the building. It's a small place to stop in & grab a yummy treat to go. We will definitely be back! read more

The most adorable bakery. Met the owner and her daughter and they were so sweet! The smell when you walk in is delectable. The store is small, quaint and perfect! We had a very hard time choosing and we ended up snagging the last funfetti cookie, the last carrot cake Sammie, got a smore cookie and decorated sugar cookie. I am very picky on my decorated sugar cookies because usually beautiful cookies are hard and do not have a delightful flavor. I will have to admit, her decorated sugar cookie is the best I've ever had. Perfect texture, soft, and the taste was incredible. The carrot cake Sammie and the smore cookie were new cookies for me. Rich in flavor, creamy goodness. I will be craving these until next time! The funfetti my kids loved and my daughter said it was the best she has had. This place is just adorably delicious! Popped in before heading to the airport for some tasty treats! Tried the.... - Snickerdoodle - Peanut butter - Chocolate chip - Funfetti - & the cookie sandwich ALL WERE ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. They had perfectly shaped crispy edges with soft and chewy centers. As someone who considers cookies one of my absolute favorite foods, Vanilla Sugar Bake Shoppe truly has some of the best! If you love super soft and gooey cookies, I promise this spot will not disappoint. Some of my favorite flavors are their classic chocolate chip and banana pudding cookies! Additionally, they offer a variety of fun seasonal and customized treats. Also LOVE how they sell day old cookies at a very discounted price, and they still taste incredibly soft and fresh. Fabulous little shoppe right in the heart of STL Webster Groves. Owner was as sweet as her cookies. Loved getting to stop by before close to grab some desserts. Get there early before 4pm and you'll have a nice after dinner treat. My favorite were the macaroons! The s'mores bar was also delicious! We went to Vanilla Sugar on Friday morning. We chatted with Katie, one of the owners. She is the one who makes the beautiful Sugar Cookies. They had a large variety of yummy looking treats and they didn't just look yummy, they tasted delicious! We tried several different things, Oreo cookie, Oatmeal Creme cookie (which my husband described as amazing!), Gooey Butter cookie, Lemon Crumb cookie (which my BFF described as Delicious!) and the cake pops. Everything was really good. I'm anxious to go back and try more things! Parking is mostly on the street, but you can't park on the street between 4 - 6 pm. Because they are a small business, I would recommend going early for the most options. read more

I took my boys to this spot on a Saturday and met Lindsey. It was the very end of the day but she was still friendly and answered my sons' million questions with a smile! We took home the snicker doodle and my son also wanted the vanilla macaroon he called a "burger"! He totally enjoyed it and we also grabbed a couple more cookies including a nutter butter peanut butter sandwich cookie and a peanut butter cookie. So yummy! THESE COOKIES ARE THE BEST!! I genuinely think these are the best cookie I've ever had. They stayed good 2 days later when I was still eating them, believe it or not. Great little bakery. I met one of the owners when I came in to get a couple sweet bites. She was really nice and we talked for a while. It was great to hear the story of the bakery. Lots of yummy items to choose from. The Samore's cookie was amazing. A nice little surprise of some sea salt on top of it that made it just perfect. The shortbread was really good as well. It was very flaky and light. They have the cutest decorated Easter cookies, the best thing was you could get just a slice of cookie cake. Everything is fresh and baked that day. They also had a good selection of gummy bears to choose from if that's your thing. Will definitely be giving this shop another visit in the near future. read more

What a special treat! Everyone deserves a cookie from here! This small but mighty delicious bake shoppe was delicious! The parking is limited but easy to access on the side of this quaint little shop! We had the sweetest girl help us make a selection from the cases they were well stocked and pristine! We ended up choosing an Oreo, Oatmeal Crème pie, Nutter Butter, gooey butter, snickerdoodle and cookies and crèam! There is no indoor seating so we ran to the car to begin taste testing! So incredibly charming! My coworker told me about this spot and it instantly caught my attention. As a fan of vanilla cake and vanilla frosting, the name in itself made my ears perk up! What's not to love with some sugar mixed in? I was heading out of town to stay at a friends house and didn't want to show up empty handed. She has a young daughter that loves sweets so I thought that getting some cookies would be a great idea. The spot itself is charming and quaint. Not a place to stand around and hang out, but that's not the point of a bakery. The concept is efficient and fits. The inside is aesthetic and pleasing, it's bright and is adorned with some bright colors, neon sign, and of course the works of baked art. It was before Halloween when I visited, so I saw some ghost cake pops and was instantly sold. They were so cute and decorated perfectly. The sticks used were glitter which gave a nice pizzaz to the whole look. I also got a couple of chocolate chip cookies for my friends to enjoy, and I got myself a goodie out of the "reject basket." Shortbread of all appearances will work just fine for me. The short bread was light and airy but still had a density to it. I ended up grabbing a coffee down the road and it was a nice accompaniment. I went to the Vanilla Sugar Bake Shoppe in Webster Groves for a birthday treat and it was so worth it!! I'm trying to stay away from sugar, but this s'mores cookie was worth the calories. It was such a treat, literally, to support this business during the Women Run St. Louis event. They offer a large variety in their small shop. You can find baked goods, candies, and even vanilla extract. I ordered a gooey butter cookie, and it is my new favorite cookie. The exterior has a nice crisp to it, and the interior is somehow soft, gooey, sweet, buttery, and perfect. This cookie is far superior than a popular franchise cookie shop you may be familiar with. read more

I honestly don't think there's a better cheesecake shop that I've encountered anywhere in my travels. The staff is generally very helpful and welcoming, with Lindsy in particular being a consistent standout at the front register over the years. I've been a loyal customer for a long time and have easily spent thousands of dollars on Hank's cheesecakes for both personal celebrations and professional events. The product itself has always been worth every penny. That said, I was disappointed to learn of the new policy charging $2 simply to slice a cheesecake. When purchasing a $25-$400+ cheesecake, an additional fee for a task that takes roughly 20 seconds feels unnecessary and, frankly, a bit off-putting. While I understand that rising costs are impacting businesses everywhere, this type of nickel-and-diming can feel discouraging--especially to long-standing, repeat customers who have consistently supported the business. Hank's Cheesecake remains exceptional, and the product is second to none. I hope management reconsiders this policy, as it slightly detracts from what has otherwise been an outstanding customer experience for many loyal patrons.

However, I found that it's conveniently situated in a shopping plaza with Schnucks and Barnes & Noble. The spacious parking lot is free, making it much easier! I tried a little bit of everything to sample their seasonal flavors, and they were all delicious. My favorite is the strawberry shortcake, which is there all the time (not seasonal), so I get it every time. Definitely check it out!
