I'll admit - we only ordered from here because it was one of, if not the only, places that delivered on Vashon and I didn't have the highest of expectations, but I was blown away by this pizza. We ordered two pizzas, breadsticks, and 2 salads for 7 people. I was surprised with how quickly it arrived - the delivery person was super chill and very friendly, and our food was still hot and fresh. It was a little pricy, as is everything on the island, but with delivery I felt it was reasonable. They accommodated all our requests and the pizza was delicious. I normally don't like deep(er) dish pizza nor when I can't actually see the fresh mozzarella, but this hit different and they did it right! It was super cheesy and flavorful, and the two 12" inch pizzas and two Caesar's salads were more than enough food for all of us, with leftovers for the next day! We'll be ordering from here again and I'm looking forward to it! read more

Vashon is a tiny island and there are not a great deal of places to dine. This little hole in the wall of IGA is primarily a take out place, as the interior leaves much to be desired, lets call it bohemian. We ordered the chicken pesto pizza, and it was a good quality and taste. Crust wise however, just too thick for my taste, just too bready, but overall I think the offerings here are mostly crowd pleasers for the locals who are craving a traditional pizza, to go. read more

While I like to give restaurants five stars if I think they do a pretty good job, which this pizza place does, but, for me, two things were lacking. First was could tell the pizza had all the proper ingredients, and could kind of taste them, but no flavors stood out, like couldn't really taste sausage, nor the pepperoni. They were there, could see them, but was sort of bland flavor. Second was that the tomato sauce had a tinny, or some sort of slightly metallic taste. This, in all likelihood, is simply just me, but stood out. Overall, pizza is good, recommend, and will be back. There's a lot of "making do" when you live on an Island. You don't have a lot of choices for things. Yes. there are 3 pizza places but only 1 delivers. Not great pizza, but decent. Of the three pizza places on the Island I'd probably rate them number two. The price is good and they are the ONLY restaurant on the island to deliver. The delivery is a little his and miss timewise. The first time we ordered it was literally 90 minutes before the deliverer arrived; something about having their phone die and not knowing where we were. The second time was about 45 minutes, the last two times they've been fine. read more

Wow, this was really bad. The crust had the taste of cardboard and the texture of rubber. I couldn't taste anything else on the pizza because the crust was so terrible. My friend and I each tried to choke down a piece because we were hungry and had just paid $40 to have a pizza delivered. We ended up throwing the rest away. This is my all time favorite island pizza place! The pizza tastes great and the price is fair but most importantly this place has mastered the lost art of good customer service. They are always friendly and kind. They work hard to make sure our pizza is what we want. When we had a pizza delivered that was made incorrectly they apologized and immediately redelivered the correct pizza. There was no attitude or annoyance like I've experienced other places, just a genuine apology and effort to make it right. I'm sincerely impressed. With their addition of gluten-free crust, all the other pizza places are now superfluous. read more

I called for delivery and was disappointed. I called and the girl answered just fine, I ordered. She didn't ask how I'd be paying. She didn't tell me what the total was. So we hung up, and then I realized that she hadn't asked for my credit card or anything, so I immediately had to call back and ask if she needed the card number. She was rude. I just received my pizza. It's pretty big (It should be, a large was 21 dollars) However, it's burnt, greasy and falling apart so I am kind of bummed. It tasted okay but I should have walked to Thriftway and just gotten an oven-pizza. I'd advise you do that! read more

For being inside the grocery store in a hidden corner they make a good pie! Their deluxe was fantastic and made with fresh ingredients! The cheese pizza was burnt so wish I had checked the pizzas before leaving. :( The staff was great, friendly and looked like they were having fun too! Well, I gave them another chance after months of my Family saying they wanted pizza and looking woefully at me for carrying on my vendetta. They still charge way more than they are worth. But now instead of some lady living out her highschool years surrounded by kids there is a mystery cook nowhere insight of the incredibly small room and always a highschool girl...not dressed like she is in highschool. I had a muttering tannorexic girl with many rinestoned bedazzled piercings and a shirt that looked like it belonged on an 11 year old. She looked confused when we tried to pay by card. Good lord. The quality has not improved- it's above frozen pizza but still not better than the other guys and almost as much. Yeesh. Oh Vashon Pizza, how I do adore thee. Who ever "Tori J." is should really pay attention to his/her details before they go ranting on about a wonderful establishment. For starters, they raised their prices $2.05 for a large pizza NOT $10.00. Their prices have been raised because there are a lot of bills to pay, not just sauce and yeast. The owner still has to pay her partner for the next year ($600.00 a month). Second of all, their employees are all 17 or older (you may want to get your eyes checked) because it would be almost illegal if they were freshman or younger. If they did do you a favor then go talk to them, don't diss them over the computer like a teenager because a teenager wouldn't care about such (false) issues. As for delivery, if you don't want to pay the fee, go get it yourself! No one else delivers, so get over it. As for it being only one room, they don't need any more room. It is not a sit down place obviously, you go in to get your pizza and go out. The kids you see sitting at the corner table are most of the time family and get free pizzas because they are family and help around the place, even if you don't see it. What my point is, is that Vashon Pizza is a great place to get a quick, tasty, CHEAP (their medium is the rocks large), pizza. You need to check what you say before you say it because there are more reasons behind what you think is going on. Stop living in your senseless world and enjoy some pizza. I can't figure out the low ratings! I'm from Seattle, my husband is from Chicago and we're picky about our pizza. We ordered from here because they delivered. Our experience was excellent. The pizza is DELICIOUS. The service was very friendly and quick as a bonus. We asked for extras on the side and they were generous which was awesome. ORDER THIS PIZZA. I couldn't disagree more with the previous review. An extra large, 3-topping pizza (which is huge) cost me $22.50 plus a 3 dollar delivery fee. And service? When I asked the person taking my order what my diet soda options were, she responded, "Whatever you want. I can go next door and get it." So she went next door and got what I asked for at no extra charge. Personally I think the quality of the food is very good. I thoroughly enjoying eating their tasty pizza. they have an excellent choice of ingredients and their cheesy bread is to die for. They offer a big slice of pizza and a soda for $3.50; an excellent deal. Their employees are nice, and very pleasant. They even offer free suckers! i was pretty surprised when i first started ordering from them, they had surpassed both their former owners and in my opinion, every other pizza restaurant that's been on the island to date. their service is amazingly good, the staff is wonderful, helpful, polite ect... the delivery is prompt and dependable, we once ordered a pizza from Maury island and got it in just over a half hour, which we were quite impressed by. the pizza itself is fantastic, something we've noticed about it is that it is not uniform and that the pizza we get is not always in the same style as the pizza ordered previously. now this might sound like a negative, but as each one seems better than the last, it's more than acceptable. in contrast, rock island pizza has been going downhill for a while now, their pizza is nearly always burned, with too much cheese that seems to solidify in a solid sheet covering the pizza, the sauce is too heavy aand the peperoni, when ordered is overcooked. read more
