I am shocked to see such a low rating for this place. My coworkers and I ordered takeout twice in 3 weeks. We had to order again to see if the food we ordered the first time was a fluke, I'm happy to say it wasn't. We have tried both the Philly cheese steak and buffalo chicken calzones. Both I'm were very good. The 12" is plenty to fill a big appetite. We ordered the 18" one time and 4 could easily feed off it. The prices for the portion on these calzones is extremely reasonable. We ordered 2 pizzas, the lasagna and the specialty. The winner here is clearly the lasagna. I liked the specialty but others said it was too busy. To many toppings. Again the size of these pizzas are big. The crust is also nice and crunchy more on the well done side. The steak and cheese sub was good, definitely a step above the chain places. Both times we ordered it was delivered within an hour. After reading some of these reviews we started to wonder if these are people who are ordering at 3am and drunk. If you work near Eagle Square as I do, you don't have a lot of options for lunch. There's Dunkin Donuts, Subway, and Vasilio's. Or the 7/11 across the way. Sure, you can walk up the hill and go somewhere on Atwells, but who has the time and money for that kind of lunch? Vasillio's fills that role of providing fast food to people in the neighborhood. It's not a destination restaurant - I don't see people from East Providence coming into town for a Vasillio's slice. I think Fellini's may be the only "destination" pizza place we have in Providence. The food is good but not great. The unhealthy items (calzones, pizza, etc) are delicious, but the salads are not very good. As such, I sadly find the healthiest option in the area to be the fruit for sale in the 7/11. read more

These guys seem to do a great business. It's busy in there whenever I go to pick up. The delivery is always quick (more like 20-35 minutes as opposed to 45) and the product is consistent. + - they are open for late night delivery good portions for a good price. Seafood platter, antipasto, and pizza. - - don't care for the mozzarella cheese they use on their pizza. I think if they got the next price range up it might not be so rubbery. Good Italian food. We have ordered delivery several times. We haven't gotten the pizza, only pastas and salad. The salad is great. It's big with lots of fresh veggies. We were able to split one between 2 adults and 3 kids. The pasta is really good standard Italian fare. We have had the chicken alfredo, chicken parm, spaghetti and meatballs, baked ziti, and it has all been really good, not amazing, but consistently good. One thing, though, is that they use penne instead of ziti. This bugs me. They should use the right noodles or change the name of the dish. Oh well, still tastes good. If you get pasta, the portions are large enough to save some for lunch the next day. It reheats really well! read more

If I could give them zero stars I would!! Ordered online and had an issue at checkout saying it didn't go through yet my bank was charged...called the store and got an attitude! Vasilios is one of my favorite choices due to my area, although they always come in the clutch for me. I order frequently and they haven't let me down yet. Everything I tried so far has been consistent from their pasta to their wings and seafood. The drivers are nice and always on time. All in all cheap, tasty, filling and on time. read more

I have had their pizza on several occasions when the company I work for wanted to treat us staff people. It was always delicious so I brought the family on a recent Friday night for dinner. We had two pizzas, Buffalo wings and a Greek salad. All the food was fresh and delicious. The Greek dald was full of delicious pickled peppers, pickles, Feta, Sliced cucumber and tomatoes. The Buffalo wings were average. The pizzas were, fresh, hot and delicious. This place is fast becoming my favorite pizza place. On top of the delicious food, they are are open until 4am for all your late night meal cravings. read more

Placed an order that did not get delivered. The delivery time was scheduled for 2:30 am and every couple of minutes I checked the front door since they usually just leave the order outside without calling or texting. I called 2 hours later to see what was going on, the customer service rep asked me to "go outside and check" to which I responded "I've been checking for the last 2 hours and I'm outside now." He then told me that he was 100% sure the driver went out with the order. To which I replied I was 100% sure it was not delivered. He could have at least had the customer service skills to be more pleasant or follow-up with the driver to see where he was or what happened. I ended up having to cancel the order through grubhub since it was clear I had just gotten burned for my money. Btw, important note here although I ordered through grubhub the drivers almost always work at the restaurant anyway. I have only written a few yelps but had to dust off my yelp account for this bs and how disrespectful the customer service rep at the restaurant was. Order from here if you are okay with restaurants with low problem solving and customer service skills. You guys deserve this 1-star rating. Don't contact me. read more

My fiancé and I order from this spot once a week. There is nothing special about their food but we both work nights and they deliver late. When I called in tonight I was asking about how much meat was on the hamburger sub and the guy was frustrated by my question and hung up. I called back and got more crappy customer service. I guess this place is all about the late night, all that's open food. Like I said my fiancé and I both work late so they *were* our go-to place. We were decent customers always tipping at least five dollars, although this is the first time I had a question about a menu item... didn't know they were so sensitive to questions. Everything I've ate here has been good. Pizza, steak tips, calzones, which are HUGE & filling. Bbq chicken bacon calzone is my fav. Love that they are open till 4AM! Not the best service when you order in, its quite chaotic & confusing, you cant tell if one of their 15 delivery drivers are customers or not. None of the 4 people at register really greets you so it gets awkward. I guess I cant be mad at them for being super busy. Food is still always good. read more

We just moved to the area and passed by Vasilios on our way home one day. This pizza is the most bland pizza I have ever tasted; the sausage was completely tasteless, and so was the crust. I get the sandwiches all the time...they are better than the subway next door. I made a mental note to never order their food with sausage again. Whatever sausage it is, literally tastes foul....so gross, it ruins everything from sandwiches to pizza to calzones. they have a few daily specials, including a large pizza and pitcher of beer for 10 bucks..not bad. The pizza is blah. The dough tastes like it is made from flour, oil, salt and water. Just pasty, greasy, chewy and salty. It gets soggy quickly-within ten minutes of receiving, and sometimes the center is still raw dough. There are advertisments inside the store saying how quality cheese is what seperates the independent pizzaria from the chain...well, this place uses the cheapest tasting mozzerella on the planet. It doesn't even do the stringy melty thing, even if heated to high temps...Even Domino's new cheese tastes better. The pizza sauce used tastes canned, and has no flavor at all other than salt. It is red, but it does not taste like tomato, and there are definately no seasoning in it like garlic, oregano or basil. The only way to get any flavor on your pizza is to order the greasy pepperoni, or to add onions or bacon. They use white onions, and sometimes the toppings taste like they are rotten-just a nasty sour mushy taste, even though they look okay. A large everything pizza cost 17 bucks...They don't deliver to many places-I live less than a mile up the street, yet they refused to deliver. We usually enjoy the 15 minute walk home from here, but I'm still pretty upset that they can't bring me a pizza when I live on atwells ave, and they advertise themselves as "free delivery". I even offered to pay. I know of many other places I can go for a 17 dollar pizza who will deliver, and are much further away than a mere 0.7 mile. I'll be back for the cheap sandwiches next time my family is shopping at radio shack.....but I'll never order a pizza from them again, and won't even attempt to get delivery. read more
