    Rocky- happy satisfied client

Caring welcoming staff- clean facility- recently remodeled-adjacent parking lot, comfortable welcoming lobby- waiting area. Doctors are thorough and professional- always take time to listen and answer all my questions- return phone calls in timely manner and are great with follow-up and reminders. Rocky is always treated well.

The staff is all kind and down to earth. They are knowledgeable and treat each dog unique. I took my senior dog and puppy, and Dr Compton was able to meet both dogs' needs thoroughly and holistically. I switched vets from another and couldn't be happier. Appointment scheduling and communication is what sets this vet apart from others I've used. Pricing is on par if not better than near by

I've been here twice so far and both times have been amazing! My cat saw Dr. Fisher the first time, and she was very kind and took the time to explain everything to me, since I'm a first-time pet owner. Today I saw Dr. Loo and she was also so sweet and caring. I'm a very anxious person and have a hard time trusting others with my pet's care, but I feel very comfortable and confident here. I also struggle to trim my cat's nails, but they not only trimmed his but took the time to show me how to do it myself after asking if I wanted to learn! I would note though-- my friend had a poor experience with one of the male doctors (I believe David?), but I can recommend either Dr. Fisher or Dr. Loo with full confidence! I could really tell they genuinely cared about my cat's health from the get-go.

We have been bringing our pets to this location for a few years. I have always been slightly unhappy with the experiences here, but they are conveniently located for us and most of their reviews are good, so I thought it was a "me" issue. Their "bedside" manner is not good, and I do not like that they remove my pet from the room to do whatever voodoo they do in the back. I know the yada yada regarding some owners not being able to tolerate what is being done for their pets, but I am not one of those people and think giving the owners the option of whether or not they would like to keep their pets within their sights would be a great compromise. Today, my 8-pound chihuahua got ahold of an ant trap. I got it from him pretty quickly, but I was concerned about the toxicity of the ingredients. I called them immediately to ask for signs I should look for that might indicate he ingested a troublesome amount. The gentleman on the other end of the line would not answer my question but instead gave me the number for the Animal Poison Control. I called them, but they want $95 to answer a question. I called back the VCA and got the same person on the line; needless to say, I was not the nicest person. I asked him if he was aware that this number charged a fee to answer a question they, as the place where I pay an ungodly amount of money to care for my pet, should be able to answer. I asked him why they would do that instead of transferring me to someone with the relevant knowledge or training the people to work there to answer emergency questions. I feel this indicates a money-over-care problem. I am very disappointed, but sadly, not surprised.

Dr. RICKARD claiming we were going to do nothing for our sick dog.

AVOID DR RICKARD AT ALL COSTS We had to ask for our dogs records for vaccines at another location. Looking at the records, Dr. Rickard has commented negative things on our dogs records when we denied $2000 blood work on our dog. Saying we were going to do nothing and that she had to CONVINCE us to take the medications home- which is far from the truth. My dog is perfectly fine without the added unnecessary expense and is perfectly healthy by the way. It is great to realize after a few months how these people feel about you as an owner. Really appalled with the behavior and unprofessional comments by this doctor.

Unfortunately, our experience left a very poor & unprofessional first impression. AFTER ALL WE ARE PAYING FOR A SERVICE!! Upon arrival, we encountered a sign at the front desk that was extremely condescending and immediately gave the impression of a business more interested in enforcing rules than treating patients with respect. There is a 10-minute grace period that is not clearly communicated beforehand, and if you are even slightly late, the clinic threatens to cancel your appointment and charge a late fee. We were only about five minutes late due to a long line and parking delays, yet we were told our appointment was canceled and a late fee would be applied. The staff at the front desk were dismissive and RUDE AF!!!! , particularly one woman who seemed to enjoy asserting power over patients. She even hung up abruptly on a caller saying, "I'll call you back, I'm busy." When we requested to speak to the manager, the response was only slightly better, still condescending, and we were reprimanded for explaining the situation. It felt very much like being treated as children rather than valued clients. For a clinic that presumably cares for animals, this lack of empathy, patience, and basic courtesy was courtesy was shocking. If you're treating your HIGH PAYING CLIENTS THIS BAD!? HOW ARE YOU TREATING OUR BELOVED ANIMALS? YIKES. The behavior at the front desk, combined with the aggressive sign, makes it very difficult to feel comfortable or welcome. We hope the owners and doctor are made aware of this, as staff attitude can seriously affect a clinic's reputation and patient loyalty. We are reconsidering whether to continue using this clinic and strongly encourage owners particularly more than poor management to retrain front desk staff on professionalism and compassion. Patients who spend significant amounts on pet care deserve to be treated with respect and understanding (especially during their first visit) Once this behavior is put on social platforms such as Yelp, Google. Even tik tok you will suffer greatly by allowing your front desk to abuse your clientele? What an absolute embarrassment. Take your disgusting signs down before you go viral.

I paid at the end, the receptionist called the team to confirm nothing else was needed on my end, then I left. The next day, I was notified that they forgot to charge me an additional fee from USDA, and was told that had I responded to Rosey's messages prior to our appointment "I would have known that". I triple checked our text chain, phone log, emails, and even PetDesk - none of which have anything from Rosey before our appointment on 3/3. Naturally, I questioned the additional charge (there was already a USDA fee that I paid for on the original invoice) and mentioned that I had no correspondence from Rosey leading up to the appointment. I received such a condescending and accusatory email back from her and was essentially told she would not help me in the future. I'm still waiting to connect with management and share screenshots showing that Rosey never reached out to me before our appointment. I completely understand that mistakes happen and I would have been fine to pay the additional fee. However, I don't stand for gaslighting and false accusations.

Multiple antibiotics. cough suppressant and an inhaler. She didn't improve. During this time, we were contacted about buying a nebulizer and using colloidal silver and acupuncture was also suggested. Looking back, none of that would have addressed what we later found. Tumors throughout her lungs. What was especially painful was the upselling feeling while we were desperate. On the day we had to euthanize Betty, our daughter first thought she couldn't be present but then changed her mind. We were charged an additional 125 dollars just to be in the room with her. That felt really insensitive on an already heartbreaking day. We spent around $2,000 total between treatment and euthanasia. I understand veterinary care is costly, but what I expected was clearer communication, compassionate guidance, and not feeling pressured into add-ons while saying goodbye to a member of our family.

They offer 3 types of memberships. After talking to my pet insurance, I've decided to go for All Access $199/year for my puppy. This option is great due to unlimited visits with no exam fee, preferred access to sick urgent care when fully booked, and 24/7 virtual care including chat, phone & video. Dr Evelyn is always thorough in giving treatment and answering all questions, though she now doesn't have many appointments available and has her other doctors take the vast majority of patients. Dr Li is ok but not as good as Dr Evelyn, he often does not follow up with test results and you have to track him down to get answers. Not to mention their prices are insanely high, even for CA standards. And when you finish a tech appointment, they just try to rush you out of there and hand your dog over, you have to really dig to get some information on your pet or how to use medication. The main issue is that Petsadena now directs calls to a call center operator with AI-like humanoids. Most of the time they don't even answer. If they do, they do everything in their power to avoid connecting you to the vet's office. Explaining the issue or leaving a message is useless, never get a return call. I appreciated his further reassurance that it was the correct decision and at the right time when he saw the gravity of Xena's condition; I had no doubts, but it was still a balm to my heart to hear it from a professional. I was able to pet her throughout the entire procedure and up until the very last moment we assisted her onto the stretcher. I am so grateful I could spend those crucial final moments comforting her. It felt much more intimate and personal than a service sending "someone" out. I believe this high caliber of care is how Dr. Kevin so seamlessly blends into the moment: he is another source of the palpable love resonating during such an intense, difficult experience. His demeanor was serene and respectful, and he allowed us plenty of physical and emotional space. Even as he was working, his being there felt as natural as any of my family members. Xena had a peaceful passing in her favorite sunny spot in the flowers, surrounded by her loving family at home. It was the ideal resolution for a harrowing situation, and Dr. Kevin made it possible. I cannot thank or recommend him enough.

Our beloved dog died and they were so sympathetic. They sent us a condolence card right after drop off. The price was reasonable, the turn around time prompt and the pickup material was so touching. Everything from canvas bag to the remains, the card, the paw print - it was perfect. They gave us plenty of time to say goodbye at drop off. They even brought her back to us on a blanket. On pickup we arrive right as they were closing but they waiting a few minutes after so as to not have to wait another day. We plan to bring our other three doggies for checkups as our experience was so positive. The whole atmosphere inside is lovely, from their x-mas countdown, the drawings on the bulletin board, the exam rooms are some of the nicest I've seen. We haven't been paid for the praise nor are we related to the business in anyway.

They are not my personal vet, and will never be. They serviced dogs that I fostered through a reputable agency. The animal that I brought in was a hospice foster that was in my home for over a year, and I was told I could hold her while she was euthanized. The rescue had called ahead with the details and I gave them the dog, but they then ignored me for two hours. The receptionist was extremely rude and condescending and would not let me talk to anyone about the situation. I begged for two hours to talk to the vet, and she kept treating me like I was wasting her time. In the meantime, my foster was in a crate in the back of the building. I finally got to talk to a vet on the phone after the two-hour wait, and she told me "Ok, we'll put her to sleep"!! I was agonized and told her that I was supposed to be with the dog during this process. At this point, I had been weeping for two hours and just wanted to hold my foster. Another 45 minutes went by, and I was told to meet them outside the back of the building. While I was sitting there, I could hear employees in the back room laughing and making fun of clients. Rats were running back and forth across the fence. It was dark when the process finally happened, and I was able to go home. It was absolutely the worst experience at a veterinary hospital in my years of fostering. I wrote a letter detailing the ordeal to the vet manager. An apology was issued to the rescue, but never to me. Having to euthanize a pet is a devastating experience. They made it ten times worse than it had to be. My heart goes out to anyone who has been treated like this by this hospital
