Good service. Long wait for food. Pricey compared to other Pupusa establishments. Pupusas are neither good nor bad, it is what it is. Nothing to rave about nor drive a long distance for. Jalapeños are on the spicy side, due to the amount they add. The serving of curtido is not enough. The Salvadorian salsa is on point. All in all, if there are no Salvadorian Pupusa shops in your neighborhood this might be a good option for you if the truck happens to be in your immediate community, if not, just go to your go to Pupusa shop. read more

The food was, made from scratch and you can taste the quality. The staff were friendly but didn't speak as much English. They had a standup comedy session going on at the venue during the time I was there ordering. There were a ton of people ordering food and listening to the stand up while having some beers from the brewery. Since it was Valentine's Day there was a pretty big crowd. I got the pupusas, and it was good but I would definitely want to try some of the other items on the menu. When other people were getting their food some of the items looked pretty good. They did not tell me of the long wait until after I ordered the food and they initially said 20 minutes, but it was 45 minutes. And, the lady dared to tell me that she kept on calling my name when I knocked on the window for after checking for more than 4 times if it was ready. I did not hear her call my name. The chicken spinach cheese pupusa does not have any chicken I can taste and the bean and cheese pupusa did not have that many beans. I do not recommend it as the service was horrible with long waits and rude people, and the food is not too great for the time they make you wait. I would not order from them again. read more

Went in this afternoon I ordered Pupusas, carne asada fries and yuca with chicharrón they took over 45 minutes to have my order ready. Food is ok just like any other salvi restaurant.The place was packed and I was there pretty early . This place is not to come with the family just a lot of ppl drinking around since there's a place right in front where they sell beers. There was no place to sit . Parking was a nightmare I moved my car twice since they told me I can get towed. read more

Stopped by on a thurs evening and the place was chill (before the heatwave hit). My partner and I divided and conquered this food park. We had the pupusas and beef burrito. The pupusas were large and savory. We also got the frijol stuffed platano. Both delicious and the curtido, fresh. The burrito was overpriced for what was served and not flavorful. The salsa and agua fresca were the best part of that meal. The food was so memorable (read: sarcasm) I don't recall the name of the stand. Maybe we ordered the wrong item. Nonetheless, the vibe was chill, great music piped through with sound level just right where folks could actually enjoy conversation & not compete with the playlist. Wow! My cousin brought me here today to try the pupusas. I tried the chicken, spinach, and cheese & the revueltas and I am not sorry. The chicken seemed missing, but I didn't care. It was the tastiest thing, ever! The revueltas one didn't leave much of an impression on me. I can't even remember what it contained, but it was still good. Just not as good. Both were served with a pickled cabbage salad, and tomato sauce concoction. I think the sauce had a little onion in it. It just added to the flavor. My lunch was awesome! That's the summary. I was only disappointed by that they had no diet drinks, speaking as a diabetic. I am opted for water. Go and try this place! You won't regret it! read more

From the moment I stepped inside Disney shopping center and saw the food truck 10 seconds in I knew my vacation was going to be epic. From the start the person taking the order was beyond friendly even though it was hot and humid he had a genuine smile. He's wife making the food and me the chatterbox getting to know them at a personal level was greatly appreciated. Left my beloved country El Salvador at 6 years old and have lived ever since in Chicago, so finding our treasure PUPUSAS was such a warming experience. Sad to say this has gone down. Have come here many times and it is not the same. Pupusas are far greasier than before and curtido is now flavorless. Also ordered chicharrón con yucca frita and the chicharrón was 90% fat. I am Salvadoran and that is not the way chicharrón is prepared for this dish. And to top it off, several pieces of the chicharrón had long hair from the pork skin still very visible. Needless to say, I returned my order and asked for a new one, given them the benefit of the doubt. No more hair, but just as fatty. They use to give you the plate with watercress, tomato and radish, the way this dish is garnished in Salvadoran cuisine, but none of that came with our order. Got a couple of things: queso con loroco pupusa was a huge disappointment. The masa was way too thick and super oily. The vegan revuleta was meh, the yuca w/chicharones was all fat. I felt extremely discriminated against... This used to be my favorite place to get Salvadorian food, however that changed when I decided to get "Yuca con chicharrones" and I ordered it and I apparently pronounced it incorrectly. I proceeded to hear the kitchen staff laughing and talking in their native tongue mentioning the dish I ordered. Another customer over heard their conversation and also shook her head. Such a shame that such a good restaurant has such poor staff. Really disappointing to see. I love vchos pupusas!! They are amazingg! but I'm giving 2 stars because of the customer service a few weeks back when we went to pick up the order the ladies were sitting and chatting in the back and asked us what we needed and didn't get up to initially help us. The second time we go to pick up an order and the same lady is there. We're standing at pickup while one lady was taking orders and the other was cooking but a few minutes passed and no one helped us so we moved to the cashier line and and when we get to the front the lady leaves to go pack orders so now were waiting even longer for a pick up order. Finally she helps us and gives me my order and I ask for curtido since in the online order we put no curtido since it makes the pupusa soggy in a to go order. The lady shows me the receipt and says I said no curtido online but i said yes i put nk because I don't want it in the box and online they make you pay 50 cents to have it on the side which is ridiculous. So she tells me i need to put online next time I want it on the side... First of all why am I going to pay extra to have something on the side that you get for free second of all she doesn't need to tell me what to do. I don't know if this place is understaffed or if employees need to be retrained on helping customers. Also that needs to be changed when ordering on the website that is so stupid to pay extra to have your curtido on the side instead of in the box. Really disappointed with the lack of customer service we've been supporting this business since they used to come to Whittier. read more

Worst customer service! If i could give zero stars I would. I came to your Montebello location, and your team forgot about our order but our to go order was barely ready, when we had already gotten it about ten minutes after I placed both orders. Our food to eat at the location wasn't ready so I went back to the cashier to see what was happening, the guy taking the order told us that our to go order was ready and that they probably lost our order. So I told him that we had gotten our to go order a while back and asked if we had to wait again for our order, because we had waited over 30 mins, he said yes because "they were backed up",I asked to speak to a manager and he said that he was the closest thing to a manager honestly good customer service would have pushed our order up instead of having us wait all over again. Honestly worst customer service, how does a restaurant lose an order? I've had vichos before from the trucks, and it's pretty good, definitely won't be coming back here read more

Overall good experience! Seating was limited but we were lucky to find a table. I kinda felt like the second we were done eating we needed to go cause everyone was looking for somewhere to sit. The food is a more modern/Americanized take. Curtido doesn't taste very vinegary at all - personally, I have had better curtido. As for the pupusas, it could've used a little bit more cheese. It is not your traditional take but it was still very enjoyable! So were the steak fries! I think we will try one of the food trucks next time. read more
