The food itself is yummy and reasonably priced. Unfortunately you can't read the prices on the board, when ordering there. Also please get a little more curb appeal. Overgrown weeds, not welcoming patio and no shade, where you order or eat. Also up where you order, needs a good power wash. Slight smell of urinenot appetizing. Not much of food truck guy but I heard a lot about Vegan Mob and had to try the shrimp po boy. I'm actually not a full-time vegan but am making the transition. The bread and cole slaw was perfect and the shrimp was the best vegan shrimp I've had. I've tasted something similar in New York but this was the best of the best. Poor service. I placed an order for take out, showed up 30mins later to pick it up. I felt bad bc there was only one person working, but I stood there for a good 5mins and no acknowledgment whatsoever when he looked at me and saw me plenty of times. When he finally saw me, he said he didn't get an order for takeout. I said I already paid and showed my receipt. I had to wait another 10mins for my order. I've heard from others that they've experienced the same thing, so I guess I shouldn't be so surprised. But now I know not to place an order for takeout on Yelp. read more

Bad customer service and got my order wrong. Love their Oakland location so I thought I'd finally stop by and try this location since I was in the area. I ordered tacos and nachos online to go so that I could just pick it up real quick and leave. When I arrived, there was only one employee who had their back turned to me for a good 10 minutes. They definitely saw me but I got no "I'll be right with you" or "sorry for the wait." When they finally decided to help me, I was told my order didn't print out so I had to wait another 10-15 minutes which was fine, it happens, but when I got home I saw that they got my order wrong and my nachos didn't include the correct substitutes I paid for. Maybe I just caught them at a bad time but for now, 2/5 stars. read more

Wonderful vegan food truck ; this is the only vegan food I'm excited to eat- because it's good , doesn't taste like normal vegan ( has lots of flavor and textures that are amazing) and there is a lot of choices to pick from. I really find their "shrimp" and fried chicken/Buffalo poppers to be my favorite items. I'm happy they are finally in San Francisco and want them to be a PERMANENT fixture here ( tired of the biased haters complaining - Get over it!!! And create something decent instead of hating on those serving on a good product to the community). I highly recommend you check them out , support them and eat vegan once in while ( it's good for the planet right ?) . I love the energy of this truck! I tried the Shrimp Po Boy & Mac n chz. I've probably tried over 30 vegan Mac n chzs & comparing it to those this one was just okay. The Mac could use more of that creaminess & cheesiness Mac is known for. There was also this unique flavor to the Mac I couldn't put my finger on I didn't love. The Po Boy was really good! The battered shrimp was phenomenal & yes tastes exactly like the real thing. The bread was amazing & the cole slow super tasty! This could use lettuce & it would really be over the top amazing. I want Vegan Mob to succeed but not like this. In the background is a chef like Terry Sargent, who takes vegan barbecue very seriously, making all this stuff himself, starting with soy and wheat gluten, making the seitan. You get a lot of bang for your buck. It's the year of vegan barbecue innovation, you ought to have a lot of interesting options. Grass VBQ, arguably the best vegan barbecue restaurant in the country right now, sell its sampler for $25. It stands its own as something that is really interesting. Here, I've seen other people walk away from the truck looking at their receipts processing, "wait a second, how is this so expensive?" They don't even have the prices on the truck anymore. That was certainly my takeaway. It was in a sense extremely disappointing, because it was so hyped up and the lines were so long - and prices more in line of expectations. But now, nobody forces me to order from here again, I don't plan on it, but this marginal low rent space, perhaps it should be used for something else instead of an arbitrage opportunity. Nobody wants to feel like they're being ripped off - nobody wants to feel like they're eating at Souvla (poor suckers) when they're getting their vegan food. read more

Have to say the macaroni is *weird* with a sour gluey taste. The spicy chicken isn't spicy whatsoever and are bricks of dense soy protein but with a true crisp shell. The cole slaw was delicious and the potato salad was pretty good. A very sweet lady helped me with my order read more

My favorite items on the menu are the soul rolls & the lumpia over garlic noodles. I take my noodles home and put chili flakes for added heat. So good. The soul rolls have a crispy wrapper but once you bite into it filled with goodness yams & macc & cheese. I don't use the cup of whatever comes with it. Southern BBQ done well. When you consider this place is vegan, it turns into a very well. I heard lots of things about this place and many people seem to have rave reviews. It's good comfort food but the prices are outrageous. I was charged 9 dollars plus 1 dollar tip for Mac n cheese that was smaller then a small 4 dollar side at Popeyes. I can taste the kraft Mac n cheese powder packet as well. Because of this band experience, I would not go back. SO many other food options in SF for that price. i ordered 3 Bella burgers (paid $4 each for bacon to be added) and one nachos online for pickup. I get there and the lady only handed me two burgers, i ask her about the nachos and she tells me they ran out. I proceed to ask her about what I can do about the situation such as receive a refund or order something else to make up for it. The cashier kindly makes me another burger to make up for the nachos. I realized they only gave me 2 burgers initially in the bag meaning they forgot about my original order which was 3 burgers, I waited another 15 minutes just to open it without bacon that I paid for. Not only that but the burger is supposed to come with two slices of impossible meats, doubled cheese, tomatoes, and onions. Instead all our burgers came with one impossible meat, one cheese, no onions or tomatoes. It was just frustrating because they kept messing up my order a bunch of times when it was really slow and nobody was there. Also I never received text or notification that my order was ready or even to decline my nacho purchase so I didn't have to wait even longer. Personally, I won't be going here anymore it doesn't meet its expectations anymore. read more

The menu's are inaccurate. The doordash menu has some missing items compared to the website. Also, I'd set aside a good two hours if you plan on eating here. I ordered 30 min before my lunch (11 :30) on the website for pick up, arrived (12:20) and I was told the truck has yet to open ? Lol the online merchant was open but the actual truck isn't ? Quick to take my money but they forgot to label/mention they weren't open.. There goes my lunch break today due to their inaccurate schedule and unorganized employees. This place get so many cool badges and recognition for being black owned but how about you start off with the normal values of a successful restaurants before crowing them. Fix the young employees "don't care" attitude, clearly label/notify customers who are purchasing online so they don't show up to an empty lot, assuring that menus match appropriately, clarity with schedule changes, & work on your organization skills.. read more
