They paid for a one-way flight home and covered the cost to ship the truck to me -- all out of the dealership's pocket. I was told it was being reconditioned, so I patiently waited a full week. After that week, I finally got the opportunity to see and test-drive the vehicle. To my surprise, essentially nothing had been done. The dealership couldn't even tell me where the vehicle had been during that week. When I inspected the LYRIQ, there were several obvious problems: the seats were scuffed, the panel on the right door was coming loose, and the steering wheel was separating around the Super Cruise light. I told the salesman, James, that I was still interested in buying the vehicle. I simply wanted the problems repaired first. I specifically told him that if the vehicle was properly fixed and brought up to an acceptable standard, I would buy it. James was a great salesman, and I was genuinely looking forward to doing business with him. The next day, however, Courtney contacted me and told me that if I didn't come in and sign the paperwork that day or the next, even though the vehicle still hadn't been repaired, they would refund my $500 and sell the vehicle to someone else. This was two days before the end of the month. After waiting patiently for a week for the dealership to complete its own reconditioning, I was suddenly being pressured to purchase a vehicle with known, unresolved problems--or risk having the vehicle sold to someone else. That wasn't acceptable to me. I have no problem waiting for a used vehicle to be properly repaired before purchasing it. In fact, I would expect a dealership to want its customers to receive a vehicle in acceptable condition. What I don't expect is to be pressured into signing paperwork on an unrepaired vehicle because the end of the month is approaching. James was excellent, and I have nothing negative to say about him. I was actually looking forward to completing the purchase with him. Unfortunately, the way the situation was handled afterward completely changed my opinion of the dealership. My advice to anyone considering buying a used vehicle here: make sure every promised repair is actually completed and that you are satisfied with the vehicle before signing anything. It was also great meeting people who know their jobs (selling cars in this case). I was paying cash and Nay (an extremely impressive young lady) did an absolutely wonderful job working with me. She arrived with the objective of selling a car (not arguing over price, not delaying, talking to management, etc.). I have seen total chaos and game playing at much bigger dealerships. Elite Motors is very committed to selling cars and will work with you. They still know their job is to sell cars instead of arguing over prices (Nay agreed to sell me the car without needing to call anyone). Their Listed Price is also much cheaper than you will find anywhere. Their cars might not be perfect but you can get amazing deals that more than make up for whatever defects you may find. Have a trusted mechanic look at it first (they might tell you it is a bad deal and then buy it themselves later!), buy good makes/models, buy newer so you don't need DMV inspection (fix error codes later when you have the time/money), try to have the cost of repairs taken off the price, etc. Always protect yourself but also give them a chance (they really want to sell cars). Start with short comparisons about their List prices compared to the rest of the city and you will see the difference in culture (compared to the large dealerships).

A very nice man who did not seem pushy nor needing to sell but just asked us if we needed help. I'm pretty frank person and said that although I hate to be at a car dealership, I wanted to come to test drive the vehicle and will not be buying today. And within about 15mins minutes, that's what we did. Sydney got me behind a wheel of a car I have been eyeing online, he was in the passenger seat and my partner and daughter are in the back seat. We drove for a good 20mins on the inside street and then the highway to give me a good feel of the car and some of the functions. We also had some talks about what I'm looking for and exchanges on the price of the car. Upon returning to the dealership, I told Sydney that I'm still not ready to buy but would like him to send me via email all the info we discussed on the car including price and out the door price and we will be in contact. Surprisingly, Sundays are their day off so I did not hear from Sydney. I liked that a lot. I did hear from him on Tuesday afternoon via text as he wanted to make sure I received what he sent me on Monday via email. The email was in my spam so that's why I didn't get it but then told him I'll review and revert. I am not in a hurry to buy. My car is currently a 2018 sedan with no issues. This new car would be a want and not a need. Sydney did not push at all. On Wednesday evening, I emailed him what I wanted from the purchase and see if he can do anything about it. I shared I do not want to be sitting at the dealership for hours to not get anywhere. I'll do everything via text and email until all is agreed and if the car is available on the agreed terms, I'll be there to sign for it and take it home, and hopeful to be done in one hour. And by the next Saturday evening, and exactly 58mins sitting at the dealership only, Sydney and I walked to my new car with a red bow on it. I cannot ask for a better experience with any dealership. Each person I spoke with, including Sydney, was cordial, courteous, respectful of my time, and not rushing me to do one thing. I am home with a few car now for 3+ weeks and still share with my friends and family the perfect experience I had at this dealership and Sydney.
