31 minutes for a Togo order. 2 items 31 minutes... No it wasn't that busy. People ordering dine in happily eating eating despite ordering 10 and 20 minutes after me. Attendant blamed the wait on fries, used the same BS fry excuse on me and several other to go orders. Apparently to go fries are made in an entirely different secret process and aren't allowed to share the same oil as the high class dine in fries... I know this because the portly gentleman who ordered the dine in fries 20 minutes after me not only enjoyed a fry appetizer but really shamed me when his food and additional side of fries arrived with his meal, then just as he shoved the last fry in his mouth... It was my turn to enjoy my second class to go Fries, 31 minutes later... Also around the 30 minute mark I finally complained and pointed out the fry inequality, she got pissy with me and quietly handed me my food. BUT I HAVE CRACKED THE CODE, ORDER DINE-IN AND IMMEDIATELY HAVE THEM BOX IT UP... Then enjoy their disdain as you have beaten their oppressive fry system. ------- F ME! Me and my girlfriend love to come here for some nice vegetarian/vegan food. The food is great,parking, atmosphere all great but one of the employees taking orders is always in a bad mood (ALWAYS). Almost never breaks out a smile unless you say a really good joke to which she will smile for a millisecond at best. I wish there were more restaurants like Veggie Grill. This is a phenomenal concept, offering healthy and meat free alternatives in a quick dining setting. I ordered the Vegan mac and cheese which was out of this world delicious as well as the Vegan Chicken Thai Salad. The place is packed, but the line moves quickly and the menu is priced at a reasonable rate. If you feel like having a beer/wine with your meal they are available. The staff is extremely bright and cheery and very helpful. I loved how clean and light the restaurant was as well as within walking distance from my office. I hope that more establishments geared at meat and dairy free alternatives become available, if people tried this kind of cuisine they would realize that Vegan is actually very tasty if done right and tastes like the "real thing". read more

I would almost say there are too many choices and options available (i.e. combos, bread substitutions, choices of sides, etc.)...typically something I would just chalk up to my own indecisiveness but the other people I was with agreed (I know...aren't people ever happy?). I would say if you are coming here for the first time, allow yourself at least 10 minutes to peruse the menu. Below are the choices we made: GRUB -Santa Fe Crispy Chickin' (wrap) with Yukon Fries. -Savory Kale Caesar (add grilled chickin'). -Grillin' Chickin' (wrap) with Coleslaw.. For the three of us, the total bill ran roughly $30...not bad, IMO. Honestly, I'd have to say the food was just okay. Everything I tried was a bit on the bland side. I attempted to "spice up" my wrap by using the available condiments (sea salt, pepper, hot sauce) but nothing exactly hit the spot. The other folks I was with agreed. The Yukon Fries were wonderful though. :) I would probably come here again just to be fair. The place piqued my interest enough to want to try something else, but not just yet. This particular restaurant is really popular since it's right on Lake, so sometimes it can take a while for food to be brought out, and you'll find yourself gnawing on the table leg. My kids and I love this place. Food is great. The service staff are helpful and friendly. So this place is a quick food place - not fast food, but not a sit-down-with-a-menu place either. It is easy to find something that you will enjoy. My younger son usually gets the same thing over and over ("chicken" nuggets), but my elder son and I have walked through the menu over time. Some of our favorites are the Santa Fe sandwich and the Buffalo Bomber. Both of these sandwiches are good - nice flavor and filling. We typically get the Yukon Gold fries (very good!), but we sometimes get the sweet potato fries (excellent as well). The Banh Mi salad is great, for those salad lovers out there. Beware that it might be too hot for some people. I did not really like the kale caesar. The drinks are really good. Both the strawberry lemonade and the regular lemonade are quite excellent. For iced tea lovers, there is a pomegranate tea that my son likes a lot. This place is not cheap. But an easy go to place to get healthful, tasty food in a short amount of time. I buy their burgers quite often (the steakhouse is the best!), my sister is in love with the Santa Fe Chicken sandwich, and the tempura green bean fries are to die for. I do enjoy meat but I like vegetarian food too after going through a plant based diet phase but anywho, the burger I had ruled. So I'm not a huge vegan/vegetarian person but I wanted to try this place because I saw that they had a season dish come back which was the Filipino Chicken Adobo Bowl. Is it just me or do they always mess up orders? Last week, I ordered online for pick-up and they forgot a cookie in my order. I didn't find out until I got home. Today, I ordered a Korean beef bowl and I glanced to see that it was bowl in my bag before leaving. I got home and it was a ramen bowl instead! It was one of those frozen ones you could buy, like Hilarys. VERY dry, and the whole thing wasn't even hot. Sort of lukewarm. And I was the only one there. Personally, I'm not really on the whole "Eat super healthy everywhere" bandwagon as if I want healthy food I can just make it myself, but veggie grill is great for those days where I am to lazy to make anything. Veggie Grill is great for quick and easy (and delicious) vegan meal! Compared to other locations, I like the Pasadena one more because you can see the kitchen and watch them prepare your yummy foods. There are also lots of windows to provide good natural lighting inside the restaurant. I ordered the Bombay bowl with added in grilled chicken, which was delicious! The curry sauce is smooth and slightly spicy which gave the bowl a nice kick. There's also just the right amount of sauce to cover all of the veggies without overwhelming the bowl. Their grilled chicken is very similar to firm tofu, and is a nice addition to the other textures in the bowl. I loved the Pasadena location of Veggie Grill, and I'm happy it's so close to my work!
