My granddaughter and her two friends insisted we order from Velly pizza the other night. There are numerous pizza places closer.But they insisted it had to be from Velly. When I order pizza, I care more about quality than price. The prices here were very reasonable, and they were . They are pretty far from me (12 miles) so we ordered delivery. All of the girls loved the pizza, since the night was about them, I'm glad I ordered from here. There is a good pizza place near me that I'll probably continue ordering from, except when the girls are here. Then we will definitely order from Velly's. If you haven't tried curry pizza, you should definitely give it a try because it's a gamechanger! The Original Chicago's Pizza and Curry has a big menu that includes both curry pizza and non-curry pizza, as well as pasta, salads, and Indian entrees. I think the online ordering system is a little hard to order from if you want to get 2 flavors for half pizzas, so I highly suggest calling the place directly and ordering on the phone. Note that there is an extra fee if you get half pizzas, but I think it's worth it to try another flavor if you only want to get one pizza. I got to try the chicken tikka masala curry pizza, tandoori chicken, spicy BBQ lamb, and achari gobi. Out of these flavors, the tandoori chicken was my favorite because the flavor is so good. I worked down the street and I checked out Yelp on what some good food around the area and this popped up. This didn't disappoint. If you like pizza and you like Indian food, I recommend this place highly. Staff were very nice and very attentive from beginning to end. The place is very clean and I like how the dining room was spacious. Pizza was unbelievably good. I tried chicken curry pizza and I was not disappointed. I asked for spicy and it was pretty spicy. It was a small 10 inch pizza, but I was full at the end. I heard good things about their butter chicken pizza too. I'll have to go back and try that as well. Ordered delivery here Friday night the estimated delivery time was between 60-90 minutes via the app. The pizza actually arrived in 30 minutes wow! The delivery fee is $5 not including tip. I tried the Tikki Chicken pizza and it was quite delicious. Personally I don't care for ginger so I would exclude this next time. The large pie was $26 and the Italian antipasto salad was $9.19. The dish that caught my eye is the Goat Biryani. I decided to stick to my choice. I'm glad I did that! What a delicious Goat Biryani. It is one of the best in Sacramento. The Goat Biryani is enormous. They're very generous. Both the rice and meat are perfect. The taste is exceptionally favorable. I ordered medium spicy, and it is perfect for me. But I think mild spicy should be suitable for most of the people. I saw many customers order and pick up their pizzas. They look so good. I'm sure I'll come to try their pizza very soon! We are regulars here. We order carry out probably once a week. Our favorite is the Desi pizza minus onions and usually sub white sauce, plus fish pakora on the side. Interesting combo, I know, but there's four of us sometimes. Inside looks like any little pizza shop, but order a pizza and get fresh, crispy on-the-outside, soft on-the-inside dough with your favorite toppings, including Indian flavors (masala, korma, etc)! The fish pakora is a little spicy for me but comes with a yummy mint dip. We've also tried their pasta which was tasty, like a cheeseburger. I've given this place multiple chances, and every single time, they've messed up my order in a different way. First time, I ordered lunch with garlic naan paid for it, expected it, but when I opened the box, there was no naan at all. No explanation, no apology, just missing food. Next time, I ordered their tandoori chicken pasta at first they claimed it didn't exist on their menu, only to call me later and say it actually does. When I went to pick it up, they handed me regular tandoori chicken, not the pasta I ordered. Zero attention to detail and clearly poor communication between staff. And today was the final straw. I ordered paronthas and specifically asked for them to be made crispy. Not only did they ignore my request, but the paronthas were soggy and limp and this isn't the first time this has happened. It's like they just don't care what the customer asks for. Bottom line this place is consistently unreliable. My teenage son was in an emergent situation , he came there and asked if they could call his parents and they told him NO! They didn't even ask or inquire of the situation. Worst Customer service experience ever they are not even 1 star. I would give negative if possible. we ordered a malai paneer pizza, I specified I am allergy to bell peppers. Upon receiving it there were small pieces of bell peppers. We called and spoke with the manager Gill and stated that we had asked for the pizza without bell peppers and he asked for pictures of the pizza, I should not have to justify what I see on the pizza especially when I have an allergy. Gill offered a 10% discount next time and stated if it's an allergy to be specify so gloves and knives can be changed. Other pizza places would have offered another remake especially being that it's an allergy and mistakes do happen. The paneer Tikka masala was creamy and tomatoey with yummy paneer cheese. The Lamb curry was tender with a rich flavorful sauce. The samosa chat was super crispy and the chana masala on top was very good. The Punjabi kulcha was amazing!
