I cannot for the life of me understand why nobody has reviewed this place independent of the pictures. This place is very instagrammable. The food comes out looking picture perfect. But that's where it ends We came here hoping for authentic Mexican food. This is not it The rice and beans were barely warm so we didn't eat those. And the flavors were so mild. It wouldn't have made it worth it anyway. We ordered the chips and queso My husband had to ask them to warm up the queso cuz it was cold. Like ice cold. The person put it in the microwave and brought it back. Nice! Reheated restaurant food. That's exactly why I came out! I got the birria tacos and it tasted like pot roast in a tortilla. None of the sauces were worth putting on the pot roast taco. But, it was pot roast so it needed something. My husband got the carnitas and the pastor tacos. They were super tiny with like three tortillas on each taco. And super dry. So the whole thing was really subpar. We are from Texas. I say that so you have some context to this review. If you have never grown up with Tex-Mex or near Mexico or near families and communities that were built on rice and beans and tortillas and actually make them at their own homes. Tried the breakfast burrito and the burrito Al pastor for the first time last week. The burrito is just a excellent with the right combination of meat with some grilled flavor and rice and their sauce. So good, I am not sure how they just do it right. It was pretty good. My date and I agreed it wasn't the best tacos we had ever had. I had the queso birria tacos and was disappointed that they were a little bland. He had the carne asada and carnitas tacos and said they were good. I ordered horchata and it was awful...you could taste the powder. Over all I would go back if I was close by. Has a good kick and not over-powering. - Quesabirria: Also very juicy, crispy on the outside; wonderful cheese-pull; consome was good but could add a bit for flavor to it, in my opinion. - Churros: so yummy! Served hot and crispy and COVERED in sugar and cinnamon, as most places skimp out on that. Overall: Service was great! Very nice people and made everything quick. Birria pizza is a great big birria quesadilla with slices of cucumbers, radishes, and pickled onions on top. It is so so so good and the large one feeds two people easily. My husband got a torta and liked it but was jealous of our giant birria pizza. We eyeballed other people's orders and it all looked so dang good.
