The ube tres leches was a little disappointing as there wasn't any tres leches cake at the bottom, just crumbly graham crackers resting below exquisite ube mousse. It could have been mislabeled, but it was essentially just ube mousse with crumbly graham crackers for texture. The staff were friendly and the store is so fun!

I purchased several pieces for myself and took a sample from each piece. Each piece of bread was soft, fresh, and absolutely delicious. Being a lifelong fan of Mexican sweet bread, I can truly appreciate the bread sold here. The young lady who assisted us was very friendly, outgoing, and helpful. When I called to place the order, I was directed to submit it online. I completed the online order and received a text confirmation stating that I would receive a response within two days. After two days passed with no response, I called to follow up and was told that someone would be contacting me regarding my order. Another two days passed without any communication, so I called again to check on the status. At that point, I was informed that my order had never actually been placed because a deposit was required. However, I was never informed of any deposit requirement during the ordering process or in any of the communications I received. I was then told that, unfortunately, the bakery would not be able to make the custom cake. I explained the entire situation and shared how much this cake meant to my father-in-law, as this bakery has been a special place for him over the years. Despite explaining the circumstances, no effort was made to find a solution. As a business owner myself, I understand that mistakes can happen. However, I also believe in doing everything possible to make things right for customers when issues arise. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. Due to the lack of communication, misinformation, and poor customer service, I will not be ordering from this bakery again and cannot recommend it to others.

For a bakery with cakes and pastries, I was also a little surprised and wondering how everything stays fresh in that kind of heat. I ended up getting a chocolate chip cookie, a slice of Funfetti cake, and a slice of Grandma's Chocolate Cake. The Funfetti was definitely the standout -- super moist and really good. The chocolate cake was fine, but nothing particularly memorable. I haven't tried the cookie yet, so TBD on that one. Overall, the Funfetti was good, but the experience itself could use some improvement, especially with the lack of AC and not being able to easily see or understand what was available.

The taro and mango egg pudding cakes were so yummy! The cakes have 3 layers and they have the fillings in between. The egg pudding isn't as fragrant as I'd hoped since you can barely taste it as the other flavors are stronger, but it gives the cake a nice moist layer. I also enjoy their breads.
