Went here for the first time and will never go back. The Bolillo had a very bad rotten/wet rag taste and smelled very bad. The pan dulce was very bland and had no pan dulce flavor. Save your time and money and go elsewhere. read more

Good place for pan dulce in Montebello. Its a nice amom and pop place/local bussiness that I feel good suporting. The Mexican bread is reallly good, fresh (you can see them making it in the back) and they have a pretty good selection, so chances are they'll have the type of bread you're looking for. I tried their tamales for a Christmas party we had and they were a big hit. They were huge, tasty and very filling-you'd be lucky to eat 2 in one sitting. The only downside is that the place is located on busy Whittier Blvd. so parking can be problem and very limited. Other than that, I would def. recommend ! read more

La rosca de reyes is amazing it's fresh and fluffy. It just came out of the oven and was still warm. The people that work there are fast and friendly. The bakery reminded me of those I see in Tijuana when I visit. The ambience is like stepping into a bakery in Tijuana. I have been looking for a panadería closer to home and well I think I found it! I've been to so many bakeries and they just never really won me over but this little hidden gem did it for me. I must have passed this bakery a million times and have never noticed it, thanks to Yelp I found it. I walked in to a huge assortment of fresh made bread and cookies that it was hard to decide what I really wanted. I walked out with a dozen pieces of different types of bread and my first bite into an elote was AMAZING. If I can describe it I would say it was so soft it melted in my mouth and it was the perfect amount of sweet, it had that authentic Mexican bread taste. I was also very excited to see that they had the small conchitas, as very few bakeries sell these and they are the perfect size for kids. They do sell tamales there as well and I will be trying those on my next visit. Side note: during this pandemic they do enforce wearing a mask. I saw the lady kick someone out for not wearing a mask so please be mindful of that and take a mask. read more

This place is a wonderful mom and pop shop full of Mexican baked breads, cookies and deserts! My boyfriend introduced me to this place and I fell in love. They also have really good sandwiches. I brought some baked goods to my parents, who are out of state and they loved them. read more

I used to love this bakery, but ever since the pandemic, it appears that their quality of bread and other edibles has drastically been reduced. The bread is almost never soft, or appears to be day old bread. Before, when I would buy the bread, it would last for up to 2 days and still be soft, now, the bread is hard the next day. They don't sell fresh brewed coffee anymore, it's only instant coffee from a machine. Other than that, I have not tried any of the other items. read more

Bought 5 dozen tamales and disappointed! Red chili had an after taste of grease or lard and lots of masa, not much chile. Green chile and cheese was all masa. Mexican bread is good but spent lots of money on the tamales so this is my review. read more

I just want to say that El GLOBO Bakery saved my family this Christmas . My mother is blind can not make tamales like she use too! ...Having said that. No one makes tamales like her! So I decided to order tamales from GLOBO bakery. And they are delicious! Mom approved! I even ordered another dozen after the holidays. And gave tamales as gift to friends! They bake the most amazing assortment of Mexican bread! You name it they bake it!! ...But!! The Empanadas de calabasa are the bomb! It's my moms favorite bakery now! Nice staff! DELICIOUS Tamales. My husband and I come here in the morning on our way to work sometimes. We always get the CHEESE Tamales and pair it with either Pork or Chicken. All are amazing. Full of flavor, soft and moist. $2 each, not bad! Ask for the salsa, they make it fresh. It's spicy and delicious as well. This place really impressed us! We haven't had a chance to try their bread or tortas but will definitely be trying them soon. Tip: Drive too fast and you'll miss this spot. Park at the gas station and walk over to El Globo. read more

My co-worker always brought bread from this bakery and everyone loves them! I was in the area today and had to stop by to get some. When I walked in, there were so many breads and cookies to choose from. So many varieties that I didn't know what to get first. I don't know the name of my favorite bread but it's shaped like a croissant. The outside is crispy and flaky when you bite into it. The inside is moist as if the dough is not completely baked but it is. There's sweetness to this bread. It's .70/piece. I grabbed 7 of my favorite bread at first. Then the family tried some in the car and they all liked it that I went back inside and bought all of my favorite bread that were on the shelf. The lady behind the counter was very nice. I asked her what's the name of the bread I like but she didn't know. That's fine just as long as they don't change the shape of it since that's the only way I can tell which is my favorite bread.....haha. I highly recommend this bakery and I'll start going here more often- not just when I'm in the area. read more

Three stars mainly because this bakery is open 24/7 but customer service isn't that great late night. The bread tastes great but in one of my visits I was helped out by an old man who was pretty tired and a bit sweaty. I paid with cash and then I acted like I was looking around because I felt he was going to walk back and continue handling the dough without washing his hands and sure enough he didn't wash his hands and handled the dough with his dirty hands. I hope the bread I ate was handled with clean hands. read more

This is got to be one of the best I've been to in years old school flavors From the sweet bread to the tomales Can't say enough about the ladies who run this Bakery sign says open 24 hrs. Expensive,passive employees with a reluctant attitude to my five year old who lost his money on the coin machine stating they are not responsible for the machines inside their stores. I placed an order for a cake last week for my father-in-law while he was visiting from out of town…read more This bakery has always been his favorite bakery, and he has enjoyed their cakes for many years while living in Montebello. When I called to place the order, I was directed to submit it online. I completed the online order and received a text confirmation stating that I would receive a response within two days. After two days passed with no response, I called to follow up and was told that someone would be contacting me regarding my order. Another two days passed without any communication, so I called again to check on the status. At that point, I was informed that my order had never actually been placed because a deposit was required. However, I was never informed of any deposit requirement during the ordering process or in any of the communications I received. I was then told that, unfortunately, the bakery would not be able to make the custom cake. I explained the entire situation and shared how much this cake meant to my father-in-law, as this bakery has been a special place for him over the years. Despite explaining the circumstances, no effort was made to find a solution. As a business owner myself, I understand that mistakes can happen. However, I also believe in doing everything possible to make things right for customers when issues arise. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. Due to the lack of communication, misinformation, and poor customer service, I will not be ordering from this bakery again and cannot recommend it to others.

The egg pudding isn't as fragrant as I'd hoped since you can barely taste it as the other flavors are stronger, but it gives the cake a nice moist layer. I also enjoy their breads. The size and price are still good and they accept card payments! Bakery is clean and organized. They have a small seating area if you get drinks and dessert and want to sit down. Worst customer service ever! This guy calls himself a Christian there yet he judges people who go in with tattoos doesn't even care if you have kids! Talks/Sees your kids in bad way. He's a bad manager and his business needs to be taken down! He's doing fraud denying people's debit cards saying it doesn't have money when you do.
