The view was beautiful. I reserved a table while visiting Boston and noted that it was our anniversary and we requested a table by the window they sat us by the window. We ordered the tuna appetizer, which was very good and a decent option. Drinks were delicious. I had the short ribs and my husband had the veal Milanese. The Bread was also very good. Service was quick and we did not have to wait at all but staff were professional but not really made us feel welcomed. They were not friendly.

    Chicken Caprese and nice martini!

Took my son here for his birthday, sat at the bar and had a great dinner! Megan was excellent serving us from the bar and made his little party a nice experience! Chicken Caprese and baked haddock were both tremendous. Always a great dining experience here. Love the staff.

Excellent; the food, the atmosphere, the service, everything! A Boston-quality restaurant, right outside of the city with its own FREE parking lot and spectacular views of the Boston skyline. My husband and I came here on a double date with some friends. We started with some oysters, meatballs and shrimp cocktail. Oysters & shrimp cocktail were fresh and fantastic. Meatballs just melted in your mouth. For my entree, I ordered the pan-seared salmon. It was delicious! A large portion size topped with excellent pesto sauce and rice on the side. I ate the whole thing! I would definitely recommend checking this place out :)

The food, service and ambience were all great. It's a bit loud in the restaurant but the food made it worth it as did the service. Wish I could recall our servers name because he deserves a shout out. Looking forward to going back again when I come to town.

Only a little haddock left but lots of mashed potato and woody asparagus ends.

I ordered the baked haddock with asparagus and mashed potatoes. The haddock was overcooked and oily, even though I asked for it not to be heavy on the butter/oil. The potatoes tasted like instant potatoes. The asparagus was so woody that I could barely eat half of it. I do not recommend going here for the overpriced and poorly prepared food. The view is lovely though.

We had the best foods and treats and the staff were all very attentive and polite! The table settings were tasteful and it made the atmosphere a perfect venue ! Very spacious and super clean and a very enjoyable time at this location! The spread of desserts was truly amazing ! Lots of details were definitely made it all worth while! The bartender made exceptional drinks and the evening flowed seamlessly! Great memories were made here!

Front door to restaurant. Plenty of parking.

Love this restaurant. What a view for starters. Nestled in a cute neighborhood in Dorchester, on the water, with lots of free parking. I stopped there after landing at Logan heading south. A great place to wait out rush hour traffic. I got the swordfish It was delicious. They allowed me to have just veggies with so it was a healthy entree. The bartender was very nice and took the time to introduce himself. Love it. Here's to many more visits to Venezia.

Walked in on a Sat nite around 5. Sat at bar with 3 others. Barmaid very pleasant and helpful. Great view of water . Apps were eggplant lasagna , stuffed mushrooms and chicken bruschetta. All were very good. We got the specials. 2 orders of Rib Eye and stuffed shrimp. Both cooked to order ...other special for the nite was lobster and seafood over pasta with a cream sauce that I'm told was fantastic. A few martinis...one expresso and another pistachio after entrees with some tiramisu and Crème brûlée that was awesome. Overall a great experience.

Five of us went here Saturday evening to celebrate a 60th birthday of a friend.. had a limo take us in and home so we could really enjoy our time out together. The birthday girl chose the restaurant and it did not disappoint. We had 3 different meals which all were very good. Their focaccia bread was without a doubt the best I ever have eaten. We ended up with cioppino which was crazy good..Chicken Limone was wonderful as was the veal Oscar. Our martinis were perfect and our server Chris was amazing.. We all had a great time and would go back in a minute.. Thank you to the staff for making our birthday celebration one to remember.

I went here twice when I was in Boston. Both nights I sat at the bar and my bartenders were Sam and Chris. They were incredible. Service was immaculate, the food was incredible, and there was no fuss about my food allergies and preferences. They also remembered the event I had and asked me about it the second night. Everything felt very polished and warm. This is a great restaurant and I would come back for the food alone! The service is the cherry on top.

Wondering if Venezia 'dresses-up' the restaurant for the Christmas holidays? Looking to dine out in December with a group of friends during the holidays, and looking for some fun and a little holiday glitz, maybe?

Do they have a parking lot?

Yes, huge parking lot and it's free :)

How is the menu? And prices? And atmosphere?

Very varied menu - Italian and you can view menu on the website. The restaurant is on water which is nice and plenty of parking. Nice atmosphere and prices are comparable to other restaurants in the area.

The line does move very fast and Gicomo's has expanded to a second sitting area for more space. Ordered the fried calamari platter appetizer and fra diovolo with shrimp and scallops. The former was very very mediocre; it was fresh but the batter seemed soggy and the sauce was watery and weak. However, the fra diovolo was fantastic. Al dente noodles cooked to perfection and the scallops and shrimps were large, juicy, and tender. I'd recommend it for sure; it's one of those dishes you'll definitely be sopping the bread with the leftover sauce (which you should do anyway). Just FYI, it's not spicy at all. Honestly, Giacomo's was a bit disappointing, considering the hype. But I'd still want to come back, and I'm glad I tried it.

One small thing -- maybe it was just me, but the entrance was a little difficult to find at first since it's mainly just a door from the outside. There were also tables seated very close to the entrance, which made it feel a bit cramped and awkward walking in and out. Our waiter was friendly and nice, though the service did feel a little rushed at times. That said, the food was absolutely delicious. We started with the calamari to share, and it was beautifully prepared -- crispy, fresh, and not overly heavy. For my entree, I ordered the seafood pasta and really loved it. The seafood tasted fresh, the pasta was cooked perfectly, and the flavors all came together really well.

The menu refers to these as "Greek cheese bread" but somehow that doesn't do it justice - these were immensely pillowy and cheesy, with an amazing crust, with homemade honey butter on the side. I could have had just these for dinner and been satisfied. They really nailed the bread. My other favorites: 1. Hipiti: spicy whipped feta with crispy potatoes on the side. I don't do well with spice but I absolutely loved this. 2. Marouli: winter lettuce with the most amazing vinaigrette dressing. My only knock to this is, presentation-wise, they serve it with half of the plate empty and the other half with salad. I don't understand why restaurants do this because - one, it only highlights the smaller portion and two, we're just going to mix the salad all around in the bowl anyway. 3. Boudeto: daily catch in a beautiful tomato broth. For a seafood dish at a restaurant in Back Bay, this was priced at a fairly reasonable $28. The only dish that fell a little flat for me was the tzatziki - needed a bit more seasoning. As it was, I was eating mostly just plain yogurt. The table-side preparation was cool, though. The space is its own visual dinner, there's simply a lot to look at (including a drawing of Poseidon riding a surf board). We got the big table in the back, which was a beautiful glass structure with a whole terrarium underneath. We couldn't stop marveling at it throughout the meal. Our waiter was wonderful - very helpful recommendations, came by to check on us often even though we were pretty far in the back, super patient with our questions. Hard to get reservations but worth it! Don't bother driving / trying to find parking unless you're willing to eat a hefty garage fee, it's Back Bay.

The bread had large air pockets, visibly soft, with a rich aroma of salt and milk; the olive oil was smooth and mellow, with a full-bodied fragrance, and the aftertaste even included a subtle, restrained hint of tea. Even knowing it's a calorie bomb, I couldn't resist dipping it in more. Baccala Mantecato: Classic Venetian flavor. The salted cod was tender and delicate, almost like a light foam, somewhere between raw silk and mousse; the dark bread was simple yet not coarse, perfectly balancing the saltiness of the cod. The most surprising thing was the refreshing aroma of celery leaves that emerged in the aftertaste, lingering and persistent. Lumache: When looking at the menu, seeing "chili butter, Jonah crab, breadcrumb," I never expected such a distinct citric acidity. The subtle acidity was gently enveloped in the fatty aroma of chili butter, perfectly complementing the umami and sweetness of the crab meat with just the right amount of spiciness. The lumache were firm and chewy, the sauce rich and smooth, and the breadcrumbs light and crisp, creating a rich and distinct texture. The portion was generous; even after microwaved the next day, the sauce had naturally broken down and the lemon's tartness had dissipated, but the noodles mixed with chili oil still had a unique flavor. Tiramisu: Highly renowned, and the staff were quite confident. The surface was covered with a thick layer of crispy cocoa nibs, the cake itself is incredibly soft and moist, and digging inside reveals an "underground river" of coffee liquid, while its bitterness was perfectly balanced by the sweet Marsala. The overall flavor was sweet and mellow, less bitter than typical tiramisu, with more layers of complexity. Actually, I was hoping for a slightly bitter version. Even on a weekday, it was packed with customers; by 5:10 PM, only one bar seat was left. Reservations are highly recommended. However, the bar was in a good location, with the bartenders being the easiest servers to find. It was a pleasant conversation with them.

The service is so friendly and seamless which in itself makes for a lovely evening. Highlights were the mussels, which were very fresh and delicious. The service here was attentive with the waiters offering more bread for the mussels. Most dishes are a little spicy, so if you don't like spice, make sure to note that with the waiter. The miso gelato is one of the most delicious savory/sweet desserts, and has lots of nice crunchy accents of the sesame crumble. Cocktails are fabulous, very smooth, as well as the mocktails. Cons: The crostini was nothing really special, and one of them came without the oyster butter. The meatballs, which were tasty but had a slightly hard texture on the outside. The prawn risotto was pretty one-note in flavor, and the prawn heads tasted overcooked and slightly off. The radiatore was spicy and nicely plated. The Cremoso al Cioccolato had a strange flavor profile that didn't quite fit, and had such a large salted chocolate-truffle section that we did not finish it (which is saying something)! Overall, if you are looking for a solid dinner in Boston that will guarantee be a nice experience because of the atmosphere, this is a good place.

Salty Pig Pizza: A pizza with the same name as the restaurant! Who was the genius who came up with the idea of salted pig and beer caramel? It's brilliant! The salted pork appears to include Prosciutto di Parma from Langirano, Prosciutto Cotto, and Salcissia. Baking rendered the prosciutto's fat, which blends with the caramel to create a beautiful golden syrup that flows across the pizza's surface. The prosciutto was savory, oily, and tender; the minced salcissia retains its coarse texture and rich meaty aroma; the caramel was sweet and mellow with a honey-like sweetness, forming the top, middle, and base notes respectively. The arugula was slightly warmed, losing its astringent and raw taste while maintaining its crisp texture, helped to cut through the richness together with the Parmesan cheese powder. The crust was crispy, while the inside the dough was soft and chewy. The cooking time and seasoning were all just right, and the restaurant's proud wooden oven added a charming smoky flavor. Affogato: I had high expectations, but it was just okay. The espresso was too sour, and the vanilla ice cream couldn't balance it out. The almond biscuits had an overpowering almond flavor, and the flavor of plant-based protein was terrible! (Oh, this should have been a plus...)

I'm not sure if she was new, but the overall interaction seemed awkward and as if she didn't want to be bothered. The caesar salad was also great. The calamari were okay, but nothing special and they he focaccia was tasty, but I wish it was a little softer. For my entree I ordered the cacio e pepe gnocchi, which was also just okay in my opinion. I was looking for a bolder flavor, but unfortunately I didn't get that.
