I would highly recommend this place. The food was amazing. My husband and I had the steak tacos that were the best I've had in a long time. My so had the Steak Mexicano that was also delicious. ENCHILADAS VERDES, ROJAS O SUIZAS - Generous plate, solid variety and great way to try their different meats/flavors. Loved their beans and rice that came with. BURRITO DINNER - Generous burrito size, quality meat. CHICKEN QUESADILLA - This was huge, and it wasn't even the jumbo order. Granted this was for our 2yo, but it was a hearty portion, filled with cheese, not a thin layer, perfectly chewy, good amount of chicken chunks, totally worth it. The staff there are also some of the friendliest people - my 2yo was feeling a bit antsy that day, and so wanted to walk around around table, and the staff were all smiles and very welcoming of her. Rich and spicy....and perfect viscosity (I told you I was a snob). I mentioned how good it was to the cashier who said she was from Venezuela and mole isn't part of their cuisine and that she agreed. Have gotten carry out from here twice. Both times I found the food to be too salty. I love Mexican food though, and, being close to my home, I may give them another try. My girlfriend and I got the enchiladas on one occasion, hers with red sauce and mine with green. Usually salsa verde is hotter than red sauce, but their red sauce is way too hot. The lady on the phone actually mentioned it. It was so hot that we couldn't finish the dish. The employees are polite, it looks like a family operation. Clean inside, but a little spartan. This place is fairly new, but has been around for a while, not sure what took us so long to come! The best steak burrito I've had, and I have tried a lot of them. My husband had the quesadilla plate and an el pastor taco, and he said it was the best he's had as well. He is a picky eater too so that's saying alot. My son was not feeling well, so I ordered carry out from this establishment. I was floored when I saw how immaculately clean the place was. I was told 15 minutes for my order. I got there in 10 and it was already ready to go. The food was super fresh, not greasy and adequately seasoned. The red and green salsa that was provided for carry out was very good. When I called and asked if they had Bar service , I was told no, that they do not carry any alcohol, including beer or wine. Not a big deal, but I did not get a clear answer when I asked if they allowed BYOB. I really feel that it is important that an establishment that does not have a liquor license states whether they do BYOB or not. This small blip will not keep me from returning, however. This place had been catching my eye each time I drove by. Coming from California I'd been on the hunt for an authentic taqueria style restaurant. I finally had the chance to visit last week when found myself with extra time while out running errands. I was pleasantly greeted by the server while walking in and was seated at a table. The food was reasonably priced and the menu offered a wide variety of traditional Mexican options including both a la carte and dinner plates. I ordered the skirt steak carne asada burrito dinner plate, and while both the entree and salsas were flavorful, the meat in the burrito did not seem like skirt steak and had an off taste to it. My chicken burrito was really good and quite filling for the price I paid it was quite greasy though which I did not prefer but over all pretty good. Service is quiet but friendly. They share a lot with an auto repair shot so the parking lot gets pretty full and there's not really any near by street parking but i managed to still get a nearby spot. read more

My family was wondering let's try something different tonight for dinner I suggested this place we placed order picked it up & brought it home but to our surprise they forgot my menudo so I called young lady took care of situation & said she will habe it delivered asap & was very apologetic well it did show fast we all enjoyed the food & soup was as authentic as you will find in Pilsen area we unfortunately have moved but haven't forgotten vhow good the food is there now we have somewhere to go that is just as great in our area .
