My phone wasn't working, I couldn't send/receive calls and I couldn't text anyone with an android. I had an appointment nearby so I decided to stop here to try to get some help. I walked in and was immediately told there was a system outage and they weren't helping anyone. I get that you're busy and there is in fact an outage, but she wasn't willing to even talk about it. I had other issues on my phone in addition to the outage problem. I didn't have service for over 24 hours and it wasn't until I reset my phone after the network was back up that it worked again. For starters I went to the old location only to find out Verizon had moved. No sign in the window with the info for new location. Finally found the new store. By that time I was already frustrated. Fast forward to Joseph .... Is he the manager?!? Either way you should know that he's rude. He'll try to sell you some BS about how he's looking for the best promotion for a new phone. Tells me I need a second phone line?!?! Are you kidding? Please explain! Under what circumstances is that necessary!?! Rather than doing his job he spends most of his time texting on his own personal phone! Shocking. Beyond unprofessional! No surprise how this location has horrendous reviews! The store is grossly mismanaged, in need of several more employees WHO ARE NOT RUDE, and a general "get rid of the current employees" WITH THE EXCEPTION OF MIKE who was kinder than kind and most helpful. There was another male employee working as well. Another rude and disgusting attitude. My 93 year old mom and I waited and waited while all three employees took their sweet time.... they don't care for ONE SECOND about the customers. I don't need a response from Verizon telling me they'll send this review to higher management. It's very obvious that they don't give a rats ass about the experiences of their customers. Ordered my new phone online, took my trade-in to the store because I didn't trust the mail to deliver it. I was told it would take a while for the trade-in value to show on my statement, but after two statements, nothing. I called Verizon and chatted for nearly 2 hours with three different reps who couldn't figure out what the was wrong. Honestly, they couldn't even get past verifying my account before I was disconnected every time and doing that three times literally took an hour and 45 minutes. I wish I were exaggerating. I went to sleep that night. Frustrated. The next day, I went into the store after work and was immediately helped by not one, not two, but three customer service reps. They checked their records and could tell I turned in the trade in, adjusted my account, and I was gone in about ten minutes. I'll never call again! read more

Daniel, all he is interested in is making his quota. I was very adamant no mail was to be sent to my residence, that I had a separate mailing address that must be used for ANY AND ALL mail. He assured me I was set up on paperless mail and no mail would be sent. I even asked about the first month, I explained I would lose my job if I got mail at the physical address (it's a client who graciously let me use it for obtaining a license as I live in my van). I had an extremely uncomfortable and frustrating experience at Verizon while trying to complete what should have been a simple phone upgrade. From the moment I walked in, I was repeatedly pushed toward more expensive plans, add ons, and services that I clearly stated I was not interested in. Every time I politely said "no thank you, I'm not interested," it was met with rude tones and continued pushback. My responses were not respected, instead, they were challenged with rebuttals that felt aggressive and inappropriate. I was pressured multiple times to sign up for streaming bundles (Netflix, HBO, etc.), and when I declined, I was met with a response along the lines of, "So you don't pay for any streaming services? I find that hard to believe." That comment alone felt intrusive and unprofessional. The upselling didn't stop there. I was repeatedly pushed to purchase a Verizon protection plan even after I clearly said I wasn't interested. At one point, the assistant manager came over and continued the same sales pitch, emphasizing worst case scenarios like theft or damage. I was repeatedly asked to justify my decision, which made the situation even more uncomfortable. I explained that I've never had my phone stolen or cracked a screen before, but even that didn't stop the continued pressure. What should have been a straightforward transaction turned into an exhausting and uncomfortable experience. The inability to take "no" for an answer ultimately led me to walk out entirely. I ended up purchasing my phone at Apple and paying full price, purely because I did not feel respected or comfortable continuing the interaction at Verizon. I will not be returning or spending my money with Verizon after this experience. The 5 stars is for Michael, though I personally give him ONE HUNDRED stars! He displayed a high level of professionalism, expert knowledge, communication skills, customer service, and incredible calm and patience throughout a frustrating situation. I had spent about two and a half hours at home unsuccessfully trying to activate my new phone on the Verizon network and deactivate my old phone. That time included a phone call to Verizon for help, which they weren't able to do. Frustrated, the next day I walked into Verizon for help. I waited about 30 minutes for my turn, and then Michael came over to help me. Within about 5 or 10 minutes, Michael figured out what the problem was and took the necessary steps to fix the issue. He called a department within Verizon and made a simple request to cancel my activation order which had been "pending" since the night before, so that he could start the activation process all over again and help me start using my new phone. I don't know why the first person he spoke with on the phone in the Verizon universe couldn't understand that, but because they couldn't, the conversation went in circles and what should have been a simple fix became an ordeal. When that person finally understood the request, she transferred Michael to a different department. Initially, that person also didn't understand the simple request. She finally understood, cancelled the order, and Michael activated the phone. I walked into the Verizon store at approximately 1:15pm and came out at approximately 3pm. Add that to the time I spent trying to activate my phone at home. Total: four hours and 15 minutes trying to activate my phone. Verizon, if you're reading this, you are lucky to have Michael on your team. He's a keeper and as far as I'm concerned, deserving of a promotion. read more

The team seems ok, but I just had a 1.5 hour wait to replace a SIM card with very few customers in the store. I just had to sit next to a "sales cycle" that was an hour and was mostly the customer telling his life story while the sales person was trying to upsell Disney, ESPN, home internet to the customers cell plan. I had to come on here and share my experience. Normally dealing with broken technology is not something any of us want to do, but here we are. I have been so fed up with the rising costs too I wanted to leave to a different carrier. I'm beyond grateful I was greeted and helped by Melody. She was patient and knew her stuff. She did everything to figure it out and when she couldn't we spent over 1hour with tech support overseas. It was daunting with multitasking several phones, passwords, verifications, but she went above and beyond looking over my plan, helping me troubleshoot to stay organized and get my phones in 100% working order. She was snookered into a new phone which would be "free" and ended up with 4 phone lines. She had previously had 2 lines on her account. I had no idea that I was being royally screwed over for what I thought was a simple upgrade, until weeks later when I found that another new line had been added to my bill, I was given the wrong promotion and no notes were added so that subsequent Verizon reps told me the only choice for me was to continue paying for an extra more costly line or return the phone I had upgraded to and go without any device. The issue is still unresolved weeks later despite being on calls for hours and being transferred to multiple reps each time. I've never met less helpful people in my life. There's a lady who stands at a desk at the entrance, calls herself a manager but when you ask for help she says "I can't leave this spot" not a single employee seemed like they were slightly interested in helping anyone in the store and even when they did help the knowledge was limited. I planned on grabbing a few things, got so frustrated with the lack of help that I just I ordered from Amazon while I was still in the store. Might have to wait a day or two for my item but oh well! I signed up for a new phone plan and was told that I had a month to set up autopay for a reduced rate. I was talked into additional lines and perks and was assured I would not be billed for these. I was assured that my monthly bill would be less than $100. Now I received a bill in the mail for more than twice the amount I was promised stating it had to be paid by yesterday which is less than 3 weeks from my date of purchase. When I was shown the bill at the store they promised me it would not be this much and in reliance I entered into the contract. I was misled and I am extremely worried. I also am unable to get through to a representative because the pin I provided was not entered correctly. I'm not even able to get into my Verizon account because it is not recognizing my number for some inexplicable reason. I need someone to help me immediately. I am seeing now that others have reported this same problem and I am very worried this is a pattern and practice of misrepresentation by Verizon. I went with Verizon because I understood them to be reliable and reputable, but this is very concerning. Store was busy and checked in. While waiting, the Store Manager helped other guests who walked in with no appointment, including one customer who had a return, while he kept me waiting. No successful business processes returns while paying customers sit and wait for a sale. I then asked the Store Manager why he did that and he proceeded to tell me that how we do I there at Verizon, got argumentative, and then disappeared. To make matters worse they didn't even have the screen protector in stock, which the Manager could have checked instead of arguing with me. Could not be more disappointed. The Verizon rep Janel set me up on my on phone line, only to have my service disconnected for fraud one hour later. When I called corporate they could not verify my identity since it didn't match whatever information she put in setting up my line. Then I went back in and another rep, Kaleb, called the fraud line and told me I will have to wait 2-4 weeks for a letter to come to my home address in order to verify my Identity. The first employee failed to mention to unlock the phones and did not successfully set up either phone with service. This employee was playing on his phone instead of paying attention. He also did not select the correct phone for a trade-in. The trade-in was cancelled, but now I don't have a trade-in selected. The store has my trade-in, but since there is no record on my account I may be out $1,000. I hope this updates in the next 24 hours and at least the trade-in is there. This has more to do with Asurion the company Verizon pushes to insure your phone than it does specifically with Verizon. Problem is Yelp doesn't give me the option of reviewing Asurion so I'm posting this here. I bought a Google Pixel 6A through Verizon. I purchased the Asurion insurance device coverage at the same time. A few months later I cracked the screen. Asurion advertises it's a $29 repair for cracked screens. So then: 1. I went online to file a claim. Tried three times to have them send me the code needed by email. Three times they didn't respond. 2. I choose to get the code by text, that worked. 3. I filed out the claim form describing the problem. The Asurion website responded that it would be $189 for a replacement device. No information was given as to why they couldn't repair. 4. Called Asurion, finally got through to the right department. English was apparently not the first language for the customer service rep. From what I could make out they either didn't have the Pixel 6A screens or Google wouldn't let them fix their phones. 5. I called Asurion again to get clarification. This rep was fine but she said, yes, Google wouldn't sell them screens. She very explicitly said that if I could locate a screen then they would arrange to have it installed for $29 and she would leave a note on my file to that effect. 6. I called the local UBreakIFix by Asurion store. Now, understand, this is a subsidiary of the very same Asurion. Yes, they had Pixel 6A screens in stock and could install. 7. I called Asurion again and again explained everything to another customer service rep. All news to her. She kept me on hold while she consulted another department. Came back on line and said simply that Pixel 6A screen replacements weren't covered under my policy. What a rip-off!! read more

We got a phone from a third party vendor (Tar@%*) of Verizon's down the street from this store. The phone wouldn't maintain a battery charge so I called and tried to get information about the phone and if we had purchased an extended warranty since it had been just over a year since purchase. The best the person on the phone could say was to call the manufacturer and ask them for help. UGH! Just kill me slowly with a butter knife why don't ya! Doing that would be extremely painful and an even bigger waste of time. That's why I went to the place I bought the darn thing in the first place! Thought you'd be sympathetic to a customer's needs! Enter Verizon, with the nation's largest 4G network! I walked in with two of my three offspring and was immediately greeted by Will. I mentioned the problem with the phone not holding a charge and he jumped into action like the superhero he is. He got our account info, asked if there was any water damage and what we had tried to do to fix it ourselves. Since the phone was going to be a hand-me-down to my daughter, he looked at her and said, "Even hand-me-downs should be nice and shiny". He mentioned he could offer a replacement via warranty! I didn't mention that it was just over a year old since we bought the phone and typically warranties expire at that time unless you specifically buy and extended warranty. That's what I was trying to do with the store we bought the phone from the first place, to see if I had one. The person I spoke to just said, "check the receipt". No sh*% Sherlock! I could easily do that, but being that our family just isn't that organized to keep that kind of documentation, I thought I'd go to the source. Most places would have record of what was purchased, especially major purchases. Anyway, back to Will at Verizon... So he types stuff into his tablet (think they're using iPads) and looking at our account was trying to ascertain what could be done for us. We talked about our situation with the phones and all of a sudden, he presents the tablet in front of me saying, "sign here". During our conversation, he had looked at our account, decided what could be done and set us up with a new / pre-owned phone. The exact same model we had originally had.
