When she continued to express dissatisfaction with that, he was so kind and professional and refused to take advantage of her and sell her a new phone though he easily could have. This review is in this location and hopefully not representative to all Verizon stores. In fact, I've been to several Verizon stores in person and I've usually have wonderful experiences but this location I did not.* I've had Verizon for a long time. I was there for several hours because I knew I was going to have issues with my two new phones and transferring activating the phone numbers to the correct phones and I was right I did . I've had Apple phones for over a decade. I know how to transfer data and set up a new iPhone. that is trivial administrative elementary level. Every time I talk to them they said it's going to cost you $30 it's gonna cost you $30 I'm like I don't need your help can I just acknowledge this out loud so you stop saying that it's $30 to set up. Two different Verizon representatives helped me at different times and they were like broken records telling me $30...$30 and I'm like OK well my phone doesn't work because there's no eSIM connected to it so I can't receive or make phone calls and they're like oh yeah, let's help you with that. some feedback to Verizon/store manager , perhaps have employees wear name tags. It would've been nice to know the names of the people I was working with. When it comes to customer service, I always think listening. Part of that is listening to the customer to see if you can even help them or direct them to what they're looking for. I never felt heard by any of these employees. I felt like a broken record and they just wanted to say what they wanted to say without listening to anything. I don't know what kind of customer they usually get but not all customers are one size fits all everyone comes in with different needs and I'm not ignorant. I know how to set up a phone and I've told them that many of times but what I can't do is set up an eSIM that will connect to my Verizon cell phone number and they knew that. that's what they had to help me with several times while I was there but they wouldn't do that without telling me five times that they were going to charge me $30 if they help set up my phone or touch my phone. the worst customer service I have ever experienced at a Verizon store. read more

I took my 90 year old friend to the Verizon store at Az Ave & Ocotillo Rd in Chandler, Az, because he was having trouble accessing his account and signing up for auto pay. The service rep there, John, was excellent. He knew exactly what to do. Even though it was not too easy to get it done, he got it all done! He was very patient with my friend, explaining everything as he went along. While I was there I made a point of observing how other customers were being treated. All of them were being well taken care of by very capable staff. BTW I am not a Verizon employee. Heck, I am not even a Verizon customer. Nonetheless, if you are interested in becoming a Verizon customer or are already one, then I highly recommend you check this store out, if it's convenient for you to get there. read more

This is regards to their Safelink service. I called customer service to cancel an old line that I have not had in years. I was told they cannot help me without the phone number or the EIN number. Then Marybeth refused to let me speak to the supervisor on duty. These phones are specific for low income individuals, but if you lose the phone they are NO help. Worse I cannot get a new phone until the old account is deactivated. So you CAN find my old account to deny me for a new one, but cannot find my account to de-activate. read more

I went to this location to add a line, and before adding a line, the sales rep advised that I would need to change my plan in order to get the promotion, and I ask multiple times will that affect my current promotions on my other devices before I do anything, and I was told oh no, no no it won't affect anything just a plan change. Come to find out about two months later that's not the case. I just got a email saying I will loose my promotions if I don't adjust my plan by nov 6 and be back charged for all previous months. I was able to change my plan back just in time. It's clearly only about commissions for them they tell you anything to make sale. If you walk into this store to sign up for service and there is a shouting match going on between a customer and a sales guy, take that as your warning to leave. Go to ATT which is just down the street. I decided to go with Verizon and was even told by their sales rep that I had 30 days to decide if I liked it or I wouldn't be charged. I made it ten days and spent a minimum of 3 hours on hold with customer service before canceling and was sent a bill for $140. I asked customer service, the Verizon sales reps, and billing what the breakdown of the charges were and nobody gave me a straight answer. I have been extremely disappointed in the setup and service of my business account. Beatriz Yanez setup our account at the Fulton Ranch Verizon Store and here's a list of everything wrong - so far: She transposed our number (which happens to be the number that is linked to the acct). In doing so, we went 2 days without service. We still do not have access to our online acct because it tries to validate through the transposed number. 4 calls into service so far and still issues. She attempted to "port" a brand new number - that she chose with us, so the number effectively didn't work for over a month and in order to correct it had to be changed all together. Setup the activation incorrectly - we weren't getting all of our text messages and calls because of this error. Ordered, then cancelled an IPad (3 conversations to correct it). Everyone has raved about Verizon and it's service, but I've never had such an awful experience before. read more

For sales and service for your mobile phone needs, I have had very good results in this store (for many years) on Arizona Ave and Ocotillo. Kathleen helped me with connection problems I had with my new I phone and Apple watch. She not only helped me solve the problem, she taught me a number of uses and techniques with features I was unfamiliar with. Both my phone and watch will now be even more useful a I suggest you make an appointment online because of Covid restrictions. Otherwise, you might have to go back at a later time to get the help you need. And be sure you ask for Kathleen to assist you! I went to the neighborhood Verizon store yesterday after we left a phone on an airplane. I was apprehensive because the reviews were not good but it was close to home. I was pleasantly surprised by how great the service was. Larry was the associate who helped me and he was patient and informative and I left the store completely satisfied with the experience. I would highly recommend this particular Verizon store. Met with condescending arrogant attitude from employee who must be new as I have never seen him before. Acted as if he was so superior to us for asking questions about an iPad. I don't think Verizon cares, but I feel better just warning others you might want to go to a different Verizon store. Been a Verizon customer for ever. I have the attendants name and would share with the Verizon customer service department. I went into the store to get a print out of my bill showing my account number etc....so I can transfer my business to another carrier. Kathleen tried to assist me, I'm a disabled hearing impaired senior citizen. Every time when Kathleen told me something, eg. Account number, I wasn't able to hear the whole number and asked her to repeat it, she tossed her tablet at me and said look at it....same with every other data Verizon needed to transferred my business. I have never felt so embarrassed with the other customers and being treated in such a condensing demeanor in my life. Came here to finally get a new phone after waiting it out as long as I could. I was on my lunch break, Which is only an hour. I had enough time to stop in here and get food before my lunch break ended. Needless to say, it only took me about 20 minutes to be in and out the door. Brandon helped me out. In between as he was setting up everything for me...he was also able to answer all the ridiculous questions I had. It wasn't a very busy place too. I've been with Verizon for over 14 years, even before they went by Verizon. I've seen some pretty excellent customer service from them in that time, and today I experienced the worst customer service from this retail location. Last Saturday I went into the retail location to purchase a car charger. The place was super busy. The guy at the check in station said no problem, ran to the back, got the charger, rang me up and I was out the door in under 5 minutes. Great. Well, turns out I don't need the charger. So I just went in to return it. No big deal right? Wrong. The girl at the check in station said that they only do things first come first serve and I'm looking at AT LEAST AN HOUR before I can be helped. Um, what? An hour or more to return an item for refund? I don't need tech help, or a new phone/plan or help with existing service or equipment. I just want to return the charger. If it was really a first come first served system, then they had no problem skipping me to the front of the line for me to spend money. But they won't for a simple cash register transaction return? If that is really the system. I am seriously dumbfounded. I've never heard anything so absurd in my life! I called Verizon headquarters/corporate to lodge a complaint and the woman who took my call said SHE was surprised that they said that. Said she has never heard of something so awful, and that she would be pretty upset about it too. She was more than just a sympathetic report taker, she was dumbfounded as well. Mind boggling. Stay away from this store. Salesman very deceptive. Talked about free iPhone 12 but showed us iPhone 11. Couldn't understand half of what we said. Said we were eligible for free I watched. Brought out cases for our phones and said you will need one of these. Said he would take card of all discounted paperwork. Said he couldn't show us our bill because his computer was down. Finally got bill from Verizon. We were charged for the watches and cases. Discounts were not applied so I called Verizon and was told I had to do the paperwork for the discounts. Went back to store and asked why I was charged for the watched he said well you really aren't charged because you will be receiving gift cards. He implied could be used any where. Finally got gift cards but they can only be used with Verizon. Web page very difficult to master. Store reminded me of a used car dealership. Just a note. I would give 0 stars if possible, but it's not. I purchased a new phone at Verizon and traded in my old phone. The salesperson in the store, Darnell, examined my phone and agreed that there were no cracks or other damages. He also verified that the phone took and held a charge. He said I was definitely eligible for the $200 trade-in promotion. He gave me a padded envelope in which to place the phone, and a box in which to place the envelope. He told me to take it to the nearest UPS store and they would package it up and ship it to Verizon. I followed his instructions to the letter. Verizon says when they received my phone it was damaged - cracked screen corner. The phone was fine when I sent it to them. I have no way of proving that, though. Of course, they have no way to prove they didn't drop my phone, or if the picture they sent me even IS my phone (I would have no way of knowing that either) I returned to the store to speak with Darnell, but either he wasn't there or they simply wouldn't let him talk to me. Instead they said there is nothing they can do to help me, so I lose the $200 trade in. If you plan to trade in your phone, you better take many pictures of it from all angles, pack it yourself with extra cushioning, and take more pictures of the phone in the box before you seal it. Verizon will do anything they can to get out of honoring the trade-in agreement they made with you. Oh, and don't bother asking them to send your phone back to you. They claim they have no way to do that. Sure. Verizon, I want my $200 credit! I sent you a clean, undamaged phone in the packaging YOU provided via the shipper YOU told me to use. Either your shipper damaged the phone or someone in your receiving department damaged it, but it was not me! read more

Ryan was extremely helpful, I have been going to this location for years from the start of our plan, if u are patient and understand that verizon staff are at the mercy of their operating system, as someone who has worked in closed business operating systems I get there is only so much you can do. It's hard to believe what bad reviews this location gets when I think about 99% of the end user industry is filled with third party support and 1800 robots. 10/10 for customer attentiveness. Erich Kritemeyer, Is the worse customer service person in the business, he was horrible. Tripped over his own verb age did not know the contract. Could not explain why he did not have an answer but he sure wanted to sell me a phone. That was the answer just buy a new phone we will give you a deal. I already had an iphone and I was unable to get the device turned on and it is because of some red tape no one had any paper work on that would produce a decision. every one said it was illegal to have possession of the phone but when I produced a police report I bought the phone they shut up. I also went to a different store where they printed off a duplicate recite and they were not happy because for every answer they had I had a point they were wrong.I also had them lookk in the records and see I purchased the iphone. He then began quoting me the law I said thats not whats in the report unless you have law enforcement degree you should not quote the law. I reminded him he could not even quote the liability clause he was so sure to stand by but could not prove he was right. I asked if while I was in the store could I call the customer service line they said yeah. He cut me off from the call. I have no idea why. the manager had to come over an reconnect the call. I told Erich I felt like i was in a circle jerk and he said first of all that language is not allowed. I said what language. He said I do not like your language I am offended. I looked right at him and said is it Erich (wanting to make sure I pronounced his name correct) What are your referring to when you say language. Because I call customer service they tell me to come here I come here you tell me to call customer service to me that is a circle jerk. he said I was offending him I said this whole situation is offensive to me! Your lack of customer service is offensive. I paid good money for a phone i cannot turn on because of a legality which is really just an ethical decision that no one wants to make because there is no clarification on the liability clause you have just surfaced. I realize that is a new thing for this company but it is well defined your employees both front and back office as they were termed to me would not and could not produce any paper work substantiating the fact I could not get a new number linked to my device. But they were all too happy to allow me to purchase a new phone. Is this how Verizon does business this seems like a close fine line to extortion to me. Are managers or store owners like Erich the new faces of sell sell sell. Why was someone allowed to procure a line from my plan when they were not financially sound to do so. Isn't that how the housing market got in this fix. Now that the person ha had a change in heart and will no longer make payments on his line and hasn't for some time I am locked out of a device. i offered to take back over the line and resume liability of the line in question. I just wanted to use my phone. I was told over the phone by customer service on more than one occasion that it is a simple switch of the number he continues to pay on the number and a new number is put on my device. this old number is put on "blank device". Or in Mr. Motts case the number is not being paid on and you guys can deal with that. He was a former Verizon wireless service manager and manipulated the system. I realize he is not employed there any more and I realize you may never employ him again but why must i suffer in the after math. is that the plan sell phones to people and not allow them to use them. There was no clause saying I resend my permission. I did it with in the allowed 60 days as I was quoted on the phone. This should of been a easy reversal. once I said that, Erich said it was 30 days once I said fine the original request to resend was now 7 days ago I have been doing this all week well with in the 30 days allowed and not all the notes have made it in the system. Erich then told me 14 days. Really!???! Had a thought quick enough and I said I did it 10 days after I sent it would he then have said 9 days.... please this is just one small example of how horrible Erich knew the Verizon policy and how disengaging he was on the store site. when he wasn't trying to argue the law with me he was hiding in back wouldn't come out and talk with me. Erich had Ayham the manager do most of the talking. Ayham wanted to help wanted to work it out and also wanted to sell a phone as a LAST resort. At one point Erich's hands were shaking should I have been worried that his lack of responsibility and convoluted explanation of policy which could not be physically produced would of turned violent. Or was was he just nervous because he was lying and I was on the verge of getting a clue about all the legal convolution being dispensed in my direction to try and get my to buy a new phone. Bottom line is an easy credit check would of shown Mr. Mott was incapable of accepting a second line when he could not afford the first. read more

These people are horrible. I bought a phone and it went dead inn just a few hours and when I went to return it, they wouldn't without charging me an additional $35 fee. They were incredibly rude and also tried to blame me for it not working. All I did was pk Uganda it in to the charger and set it on the counter. They were willing to lose the account I have had with them for more than three years over this fee. Had the WORST customer service experience there with Kathleen. We bought a new Iphone, but didn't buy any protective cover and plan and her demeanor and attitude changed. She refused to download our contacts because we didn't buy the protective case. She reluctantly downloaded the contacts and just handed us the phone, without a bag. I asked for a bag and she just simply placed an unfolded bag on the counter next to the phone. What happen to customer service. My monthly bill is over $300 a month, and that will definitely change when my contracts expired. read more
