1st review: Switched to Verizon about 4 months ago and deeply regret it. Nick and Cody were ok with helping me out when signing up, but after my bills were ridiculously more than I agreed to pay at sign up, then they were all BUT happy to help. I should have read all the reviews for this store. Or I should have listened to the older guy who was screaming about his bill at the time I was signing up with them. Nick is the manager there and will not return my texts or calls. Please stay away and read ALL the reviews prior to doing business with Verizon and this store. Their customer service in India and I have wasted dozen hours trying to get a solution and not only that... But mysteriously every time I call back, I am told that there are extra lines on my bill that I am being charged for. Sounds like a one of those scam call centers. My business cell phone died - totally black screen. Walked into this Verizon store, no line, greeted by friendly people and Jules helped me set up my new phone. she had the phone and accessories I needed in stock. I was there for less than 30 minutes. Which was a good thing because my 10 month old grandson was with me. This is the best Verizon retail experience ever. I recommend this Verizon store. The people are knowledgeable and friendly. I am so much happier after switching to t-mobile. They switched me in less than an hour and paid off my phones from verizon. I'm saving 60 bucks a month and my speed has almost doubled. Customer service actually helps. The verizon store has a security guard and representatives that cant seem to be allowed do anything without calling corporate. No chairs for customers. At T-mobile, no security guard, chairs for customers, and they were able to easily move me over in less than an hour. Verizon is not the network america can depend on, read more

Jules Beneke is an absolute rock star and a true asset to Verizon. I had a complicated problem with my phone and she was able to pinpoint and solve the problem expertly. She also made sure to explain each step and although it was closing time, she made sure everything was perfect before I left. She even helped me pair my Apple Watch! Walked in with a brand new iPhone 11Pro which was purchased through business contract. Only asking to purchase the glass shield, took our Verizon phone # and said they'd have to get it from the 'back'. We waited, waited, another person took our #, waited.. said they couldn't find our #. I asked if we could still purchase it, they said yes at the tune of $45.00. Declined, went across the parking lot and paid $28.00 at Sams.. waste of time, apparently ours and theirs since there were no smiles in the house! Sad way to spend your day! I purchased a new iPhone online and I wanted to trade in my old one. I had quite a lot of trouble doing so. I received my new phone just fine but they dropped the ball on the trade in. The chat sessions were numerous at least 4. So I made a phone call and spoke to an associate to inquire if I could just take the phone and turn it in for the trade. I found one of two company stores locally and took it to Fresno Universal Park. I was greeted by a very nice man and he took care of the trade in in mere minutes! Just like used car salesmen or sales persons I signed up with Verizon last year and walked out feeling really like I was beat up and Ra--- the sale was ok because they want your money, but when I discovered that not all was true and wasn't given receipts Just sign here ! I cancelled and went to Straight Talk all done on line no little people to deal with. My daughter just had major problems with the Vilagio store the sales person gave her wrong equipment that wasn't compatible with her car? Then wanted restocking and activation fees, the little people (Kandy) has no human empathy or the willingness to listen the area manager (was just as bad Robert)So here's what I instructed my daughter to do to recoup the lost activation fees and restocking fees that she lost due to the employee giving wrong equipment. I had a great experience here. I came in after purchasing a new iphone 13 pro from a nearby big box store. That store screwed up and told me I was eligible for a much higher trade in value on my old phone with Verizon than I actually was based in my plan. Even though this was not Verizon's fault at all, they totally made it right. They were able to switch my plan so that I could get the higher trade in value that I had been promised by the other store, while also applying some eligible discounts to my account to make it so I wound up saving even more money. They basically just steal your money. Those "$1,000 for your old phone $500 credit cards for adding a line is all BS. All the money they give you you are stuck giving right back to them plus 10x more. Verizon is a big scam and way over priced. I've had nothing but issues with them. This is the worst corporate Verizon store that I have been into Why?....their management..."Keith". They don't know (but perhaps they do know...and don't promote it because they work on commission) and are unwilling to research the "loyalty programs" offered by Verizon to some existing customers. When a different corporate Verizon store made a loyalty offer to me and Costco made that same "loyalty" offer to me I called 1-800 Verizon to confirm that offer. 1-800 Verizon confirmed that I was in fact entiltled to that Loyalty offer with my upgrade. So, why are Keith and his staff unwilling to do so? I dug a bit deeper at the Regional Manager level (Scott xxxxx)....and he even acknowledged that he was aware of the special loyalty offer to some existing customers as I mention above and apologized that Keith and his staff were difficult to work with and apologized to me how I was treated. He suggested that I find a different store and not do business with this store again. I did take that advice from Scott the Regional Manager and went to yet a different corporate Verizon store to accomplish my upgrade and receive the loyalty offer I was entitled to, which is good for life. Bought a smart phone almost two years ago, had a positive experience with a helpful and patient employee. Not sure where that guy went, as went in last week and was deeply disappointed in the customer service. This employee was overly nonchalant, used a lot of technical (and verizon-specific) language, got irritated when I had questions regarding what he meant (and to define these terms) and then wanted to have a power struggle arguing about which stores in the area were real verizon stores vs retailers. I guess they don't understand the power of mass media, here is what I went through with them. I had insurance on my phone, went in to this store because one of their sales people is outstanding. Manager MATT ask what they could help me with, showed him my phone which had slipped out of my hand and cracked the glass. His first words were you can go online or call this number we don't fix them. As you may guess I asked him what I paid them 7 dollars a month for, his response was oh don't forget the deductible which is $99.99. His words were maybe I can get you and emergency phone. So in essence not worth their time and as for my phone I would be better to buy a new one. What I think Mr. Matt may have figured out by now is my company has many phones thru them, time to start looking for a new carrier. We have been with this company for 15+ years and the amount of money we have put into this company is completely ridiculous. We obviously have chosen to stay with them because we live in Madera and AT&T/other companies WiFi does not work as well as verizon. So we pay for that very reason and all we ask in return is for respect and also to not get anymore taken advantage then we already have. I dropped my iPhone and shattered the screen so we went in Sunday the 15th of July for a new phone. We were offered the new deal which turned out to be perfect for what we already had which was complete unlimited data for all users. We were able to get 2 phones and get the 2nd one for basically free. So we did it. We also did the buy 3 accessories for I think $89.95. So we also did that. Now I need to order the case and two glass screen protectors which meant I would have nothing to protect my phone. So we bought an extra case separate from the deal. It was a plain black case and we specifically told him we would return the black case and come in for him to put on the glass screen protectors(which will be brought up later on). So we go in today and of course the guy who helped us is not there. We go up to a guy and tell him we just need the screen protectors on and to return a case. He then tells us "we don't put the protectors on due to a contract." And I told him well we're promised that would be done when we come back. Then we move on to the return. Which we are then told the black case was applied as part of the deal WHICH WE TOLD THE FIRST GUY THE BLACK CASE WAS NOT SUPPOSE TO BE APART OF THE DEAL because we told him over and over again we would return it. The guy then tells us if we do return it, the deal would be gone and they would be charging us more. UM excuse me this company has taken so much of our money already and I guess u can't find anyway to help us. So we are currently looking for a new phone service company. I don't know what it is with this place but they have the absolute worst customer service ever and it seems everyone I know has run into the same associate Kandie. And my story is the same as what they tell me basically if you go to the store and she agreed to expect absolutely no help. If you want a phone she won't be able to help you. If you want to change your plan, she won't be able to help you. If you need to pay your bill, she won't be able to help you. I'm not sure what she does and I'm beginning to wonder if this is some sort of joke. She just sends people away pissed off. Not only does she seem pissed off about something but once you deal with her and leave you will also be pissed off! Went to this store yesterday, ready to buy phones for the family. While there, there was a young lady that was talking to a Mgr, I think her name is Candy. The original salesperson gave her a bluetooth thing for her car, it was on special buy one get one, well one was not compatible with her car. They would not do a thing for her. Candy was rude, arrogant and cocky. Would only take it back if she paid restocking fee and would not take activation fees off. The women explained again and again, the she should not have to pay for there mistake, Candy's attitude was despicable. Then said we'll one works right? The lady said yes, then Candy said she would not returned the one that works. The lady explained she only got that one cuz it was free, they hardly drive that car. I went in to take a phone back that I received less then 24 hours ago and the lady that helped me wanted to charge me a 50 dollar restocking fee to exchange my phone for a different phone. Per customer service, whom I called when I was there said for me to NOT pay a fee 50 dollars to them and for me to send the phone into them and they will do it for me. Oh Verizon. Constantly changing terms and conditions, fine print, throttling data speeds, introducing new fees, removing other fees, financing electronic gadgets, billing and charging and taking in huge sums of money from the confused general public. They advertise "Upgrades" when in reality you are (and always have) been paying full retail price for new phones....AND they are forever locked to Verizon networks. It's a huge , confusing scam. The retail associates are smooth talking sales - men and women. They will spin every product and service as being somehow a deal or involve savings, when actually the devices and deals are exactly the same or higher than and retail option. The retail associates WILL NOT shoot straight with you. They are worse than used car salesmen. They will try to appease and pacify your every rational concern and protest....and offer you the option of waking out today with new phones and tablets that you then pay for for 2 years....plunging you further into a sort of debt that is ephemeral (hard to exactly define), but debt nonetheless. Be sure....you will OWE Verizon lots of your hard earned dollars. My openly advice, coming out of a futile and useless hour in the store, is to buy your iPhone directly from Apple. Avoid the Verizon scam ecosystem . If you buy from Apple you will own an unlocked phone and Verizon won't own you. Yes, you may have to SAVE your money to afford a new phone, but it's better than dealing with the shady Verizon fine print and associates . read more

Beware! My husband and I have go phones. I had a phone whose battery was draining fast. I went in to Verizon to look at solutions. Without my knowledge a fast talking salesman had me on a 2 year contract and doubled my phone bill plus I ended up with a new $200 phone which I could have paid for outright but was told cost $85.00, which I paid, since I was merging two phone lines. Today, 09.22, I just paid $500.00 to extricate myself from a contract I never wanted. Getting screwed or conned is never easy or fun. Be careful going into this store. I went here just to pick up my brand new iPhone and trade in my old one. The staff is so kind especially Ana and the solutions manager Israel they are so accommodating and patient especially with folx with disabilities such as myself! They were so patient and kind that I ended up buying myself the newest iwatch. If Ana wasn't wearing a Wonder Woman shirt who knows if I would've been so curious to check out the newest watches! I just sold an old iwatch I definitely didn't think I'd be buying anything! However everything with apple syncs so well together and since I'm disabled yet travel often it made sense to buy the watch thru my cell network! I walked out sooo happy with my new purchase they even gave me time to set up my new iwatch and they taught me more about my phone and watch before I left! I'm so grateful to them! Ana I love my new watch and your service is impeccable--flawless! Israel you're wonderful to speak to! This is definitely my new fave Verizon store! Our experience here was awesome! We came here after a horrible experience at another Verizon store on blackstone. We were helped by Zulema. She was so friendly and helpful. We ended up having somewhere to go and wouldn't be able to purchase our new phones that night- Zulema made an appointment with us for the next day and when we got there the store was packed but she was there waiting for us and we didn't have to wait in line! The process of switching carriers/phones is never fun, but Zulema made the process very smooth! I will definitely only be using this Verizon store from now on. read more

I have been a customer of Verizon for over twenty years or as long as I can remember. Verizon has always been a great service provider to work with. Around March of 2019 I was encouraged to switch my account to a business account since there would be a lot more services and privileges that go with a business account. I was told that for unlimited calls, text, and internet each line will be $45. I transferred all of my Verizon lines and a few that I had with AT&T to the business Verizon account, this was when my nightmares started. I receive an email from Verizon (which I still have kept) that if I upgrade my phone from the Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus (pretty much top of the line at that time) I will be entitled to a $300 credit on my account and a $200 gift card. Since I had the Galaxy S9 Plus the only logical upgrade to me was to purchase the newly released S10 5G form Samsung. I did purchase the Galaxy S10 5G for around $1,400. I waited for a while to get the $300 credit and $200 gift card which I was expecting to receive. Finally, I called Verizon's customer service to get an update on the status of my $300 credit and $200 gift card. I was told that I was not eligible by buying Galaxy S10 5G I should have purchased the Galaxy 7 and I would have been eligible. I told the customer service rep. that I was supposed to upgrade my phone not downgrade from Galaxy 9 to Galaxy 7. Anyway, I was told "you misunderstood the upgrade email better luck next time". I got a call from a business rep of the Universal Park Verizon store in Fresno and he stated that it would be nice to meet to review my needs. This meeting was a huge mistake on my part. We met at one of the 8 business locations that I have in the Clovis area. A very nice gentleman showed up at the meeting with the name of Paul Polanco which stated that he was my Verizon business rep. We spoke about my previous experience of upgrading my phone, which he assured me that life was going to be great from this meeting on. I was in need of some cameras to monitor my business remotely. He told me that Verizon has the perfect solution for me with cameras that have their own telephone line number which costs $200 apiece and an unlimited monthly line usage fee of $20 per camera. In retrospect, I think I was smart not to order the one hundred cameras that I needed and because of my previous experience with that store I decided to only purchase and activate 5 cameras as a test of the type of service Paul is going to provide. A week or so a box showed at one of my business locations with five-camera inside. In the meeting with Paul I was left with the impression that the installation would follow as soon as the cameras arrive. I waited a few weeks to have the cameras up and running; since I did not hear anything from Paul I called and left a message. I waited another few weeks and called Paul and left a second message. Paul was nowhere to be found. I left many more messages with no results; Paul went dormant on me. Since I had a better thing to do with my time like running my business rather than chasing after Paul, a few more months went by. I decided to check my account online to see if I could figure out what is going on with the cameras. There was an over $1000 charge on my account for the 5 cameras which I was not surprised. My surprise was that Paul was charging me for an additional five lines at $45 per line per month instead of the $20 per line per month quoted. Since the cameras were still in the box (installation never happened) I thought at least I should not have been charged the monthly line fees for the uninstalled and unused camera to the tune of $225 per month. I left numerous messages for Paul he never returned my calls. I assumed that he might have left Verizon, so I called customer service and no help there. I decided to stop by the Fresno Universal Park store to see what is going on. At the store, I asked for Paul and explains what was going on and I was told that Paul that works in that store has to be a different Paul because Paul would never mistreat a customer like that. I was told that Paul was busy working in the back office and I should sit and wait for him to assist me. I waited over half an hour I decided to call Paul's number one last time to see what happens. To my surprise, Paul answered the phone and told me he will be with me in a few minutes. Miracles do happen, the back door opens and Paul appears (the same Paul I met around 6 months earlier). He was as nice as the first time I met him. Paul assured me that he was going to make everything right not to worry. I left the store happy that my problems will be solved very soon with the assurances that he gave me. I did not hear from Paul again, he disappeared on me again. In March 2020 I called the customer service and I had the five camera lines disconnected. I am very thankful that I did not order the 100 cameras that I needed. I would not do business with this store especially with Paul. read more

Do not go to this Verizon store! I wish I had read the reviews here before I did. It would have saved me a lot of time, trouble and money. Here is what happened to me. After 15 years with a different cell carrier, I decided to switch to Verizon for better signal strength. I went to this store and was helped by Michael S. It was a horrible experience and he did not tell me the truth multiple times. I bought an iPhone 6 and tablet for my child. Michael S. said it would be no problem to port my cell number that I had for 15 years to Verizon. Said he did it everyday. He said it would take 24-48 hours for the number to transfer and start working on my new iPhone. He gave me his card and cell no. if I had problems. Well, 48 hours later, my number still had not transferred to my new phone. I called Michael S. and he said he had a friend that worked for my old cell company and he would go to work early and call his friend and check what the hold up was and why the old carrier had not "authorized" the transfer and then call me back. I waited a day and Michael S. never called me. I call Michael S. again. He tells me the store was busy so he did not make the call. In other words, once he made the sale then the customer is unimportant. He never followed up. I go back into the store and deal with Michael S again and give him my information again. He takes my phone, disappears into a back room, comes back 20 minutes later and says the port request "has gone through this time" and it should work in 4 hours. He blames my old cell carrier and says "they have to authorize it." Yet another lie. 48 hours later, my number still is not working. I call the store again and I speak with Keith (Asst. Manager) because Michael S. is not there. Keith tells me there is nothing I can do, blames the old carrier and says I just have to wait and there is no other manager I can speak to. He never follows up either on why the port request isn't working. I go on vacation/business trip and do not have time to deal with this. Get back and it has now been 30 days since I switched to Verizon and my cell phone no. is still not working. I call my old cell carrier to find out why the port request has not been authorized. They tell me that port requests are automatic as long as the information is entered correctly. I call Verizon customer service. Nice woman in Connecticut at customer service helped me. It turns out that Michael S. never set up the account correctly, never followed up, and neither did the Asst. Manager Keith. It was Verizon's fault the whole time. It cost me 10 hours of phone calls, trips to the store, working with customer service to get my account set up correctly and the port request processed correctly. Plus, I had to keep my old number active so I was paying for two cell phones. Verizon only credited me a lousy $46, less than they said they would. It cost me a lot more than that due to Verizon's mistake. I will never set foot in this store again and I will leave Verizon the first chance I get. Stay away from this store! They will not tell you the truth. They will not help you after they have your money. Horrible customer service. They only care about selling you a phone and taking your money.
