The worst customer care m. I signed up for a promo I saw on TV to trade in my phone 'On Us!' So a free phone! Nope. I had to pay to get the promo and I never received credits for my trade in or my fees to initiate the trade process that was promised. The support center is not in the US so most of the customer service representatives don't have access to fix errors or get the correct answers and credits. I was sent by error to an American Verizon sales rep that would not help me fix my problem unless I added another line of service. He said that he has worked for Verizon for almost 20 years and it's straight commission in relation to his time is money and he didn't have the time to fix the erroneous errors to my account. I have to use Verizon because I live in an area of Portland with trees that block other services from being available at my location so the leverage is not on my side. read more

Go to a real Verizon store. I ordered my new phone online, and when I went through the steps it didn't active on the Verizon network. I thought I'd just stop at the local store and it would be easy to resolve. I was really let down when the young person at the counter was really smug and quickly told me it would be $20 for him to help me, repeatedly. So I called the Verizon help line instead and it was a 27 minute wait. I seriously considered leaving Verizon that day. It wasn't long ago that the retail stores were a great complement to the only services. The manager ended up helping me, and after the first person told me I must have done something wrong.....then explaining that I must have in a patronizing way......turns out I didn't. Sometimes it simply doesn't work right, and you have the opportunity to be a hero in less than 5 minutes. I already paid for a new iPhone and the $35 trade in charge. I certainly won't recommend Verizon or this particular store to anyone. I gave them an extra star only because the manager was helpful, didn't stick to the assumption I messed up after it was revealed that I didn't, and didn't have the same attitude as the first person I spoke with. read more

Very unhelpful associate. I purchased a new phone. I asked for assistance transferring data from my old phone. The assistant refused and told me to follow the prompts when I started the new phone. The first prompt said that I needed to contact Verizon to activate the phone. After I called Verizon (with the usual very long wait to speak with an agent), I was told that what I needed should have been handled in the store where the phone was purchased. I just had a 5-star/fantastic experience with John at the Lake Oswego Verizon authorized dealer store next to the New Seasons! I had about 5 things I needed help with - new phone data transfer, new case, liquid glass application and accessories purchase - and he was super helpful, kind, and knowledgeable/experienced. In these times, someone who provides such excellent customer service is a rarity! I will absolutely be back to him with any future needs. And whoever owns the store should give him a raise - you are lucky to have him! read more

Made a 5:00 appointment and arrived 15 minutes early. Sign on door says lunch break. A guy comes by at 4:58 and says "won't open till 5:48." I said I have an appointment. He replies sorry. I wait the almost extra hour to get my new Verizon online phone activated, which it would not do after following instructions and also requested my trade in 7 plus phone be switched to my 11 plus for my husband. He replies "they'll be fees for that." So after having my appointment totally disregarded and wasting my time he adds insult to injury. Verizon should take not of these unprofessionals representing them. Terrible. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! This store is independently owned, we figured this out after calling the 1-800 number the other day. The people that work here straight up lied to us about the contract we were signing up for. These people are con artists. Do not support these low lifes. I would give a zero star if that was an option. I hope this place goes out of business. This review does not reflect my feelings towards the company as a whole, my frustration and anger is only with this store. OK I have been to this new store twice now and both times suck. The first time I asked for help using my Verizon phone and was told go to one of there stores where they do that this store is just to buy from! The second time I went in because my phone had a piece break off where you plug it in and I had ordered a new part and received it and could not figure out how to put it on. I was told "go somewhere else" that they are no a techie store, whatever that is and I might try Best Buy or the downtown Verizon store. I commented that was 10 miles away, and asked if there was something closer. The staff ( apparently in training) did not seem able to get me an answer so I left. So one star for being about as unhelpful as a store can be! read more

Under new management. The new owner is a rock star. I went in with a broken phone, the staff helped me contact Verizon to get a replacement phone via insurance. When the new phone came in they activated it for me and then did an account review to get me the best price on my monthly service based on my usage history. read more

I walked in paying $120/month for 3G data EACH for my husband and myself, walked out (unknowingly) paying $160/month for 3G of SHARED data. I feel like I was completely taken advantage of. I asked about switching our plan off of my husbands work plan to OHSU's discount and was told that it would definitely be cheaper. DJ, the person helping me, flat out LIED to me. He told me I could get a new Samsung Galaxy s6 for free. My iPhone was broken & we were due for an upgrade. So with the Black Friday special, He said I would get charged $100 each at the store, but would receive $200 credit on my bill. LIE LIE LIE. After reviewing my new $160 bill, there is NO credit and I see a $27 charge x2 for the device installment payment. He signed me up to finance $1300 for 2 new phones (one for my husband) I have never financed anything other than my house and never wanted to. I admit I did not read the credit card machine that the contract is on before signing it, but you can bet I won't ever do that again. I will absolutely ask for a printed version and read it line for line. JERK, LIAR. Do not trust DJ at this store. read more

Do not go here. Just go to the actual Verizon store. I was out an extra $30 when I upgraded because of this store being sneaky and when I called I was told the manager would call me back and they never did even though I called 3 times. The way they got me was by saying "There is a one time $30 activation fee for the upgrade, is that okay?" To which I agreed because I knew that there is always this fee unless it is waived for some sort of promotion, then I got hit with the same $30 fee on my next bill. When I called, I was informed that it was actually their $30 upgrade fee and not Verizon's because they are not actually a Verizon store. I would have just gone down the road to the actual Verizon store in Bridgeport had they been clearer. read more

For whatever reason upgrading the phone can be a really difficult experience. Not today. And we were upgrading the family plan phone and Phil, the manager here is doing a tremendous job. He's knowledgeable, professional, goes the extra mile, and absolutely wants to create a win-win situation. Wow, what a different experience than we've had in the past with other carriers. If you're looking to upgrade your phone or even trade to Verizon I recommend you come to this location and work with Phil. And unbelievably, we're not going to spend the entire day here trying to upgrade her phone. read more

I was hesitant to go into Verizon to look at a phone upgrade because it seems as if mobile phone stores are a meditation in learning patience. Not this time! Phil, the new manager was outstanding! Seriously, answered every question, solved every problem he could and wanted me to walk away very satisfied. That happened and I'm here to write about it. He was professional. Knowledgeable. Customer centric. HIGHLY recommend this location for Verizon. It was a bit busy but great news: there's a SBUX right next door! Get a coffee and enjoy even waiting! (which I didn't have to do - but those waiting were chillin'). Thanks Phil - there are a lot of promotions out there to change carriers - don't do it. I would highly recommend going to a different store. We purchased a new phone and the rep explained that it was our lucky day because they were having a promotion of a free mini ipad. Both my wife and I insisted that we did not want the mini ipad and did not want to pay for it. He pressed on telling us that it was free and there was no charge. We took the ipad and later discovered that it also included a $10 per month cellular service charge. Now they refuse to cancel the contract. Straight up fraud. read more

My wife and I came to this store to upgrade her phone to the iPhone 6. After a long time of talking to them we agreed to sign a contract for the EDGE plan. They told us it shouldn't cost us anything more than what we were currently paying. Well the next month I get the bill and it costs about 40$ more than the original bill so i look at the cost breakdown. They had signed us on a insurance package which they never said and never saw on the paper we signed ($11). I then see that for the smartphone access (normally 40$) they took off 15$ for being on the EDGE plan and then ADDERD 27.50$ for being on the EDGE. Now idk what in the world this guy was saying when he said our bill shouldn't go up AT ALL! Its WAY over the price we were paying! I can understand if he forgot to mention the insurance package, OK i can deal with that, but flat out LYING to us that our bill shouldn't change with the new plan, COME ON! Pathetic. I will never come to this store again. For anyone who reads this post, don't listen to what they say...read EVERY DETAIL of that bill and have them print a detailed breakdown for you. read more
